Amazing interiors and great sangria.
Didn't order much food but for starters, got their Guacamole which turned out to be a safe bet and Pimento de Padron which means Spanish peppers but it was too bland for my taste.

Hope they open up soon.

Fantastic experience!!! Been there for Friday brunch. Very friendly staff.. refilling the drinks without any delay. Sangria is the best start, move to nest beer followed to few cocktails and ended with bubbly... top brunch in my list. 275 aed for 2 person with entertainer 😍😍😍

Great Spanish cuisine. The house sangria was too good. Was treated to 3 free drinks for the ladies night. The chicken was cooked to perfection and was overall a good experience. My churros are a must-try, so yum!

I must admit though, I generally prefer tapas because not at every place you get vegetarian options especially the paella. So I brought along a friend who is a Spanish food expert.

This place is an absolute hidden jewel. Its the best Spanish food i have had in Dubai... we went for the brunch, and the food was yummilicious! For AED 275, the portions were massive, the hot and cold tapas were really good - croquettes, meatballs, empanadas and the PAELLA! Their red wine Sangria was more delicious than the one i had in Spain. The place and decor is one of a kind, absolutely gorgeous, however the only thing i didnt like was their music. With such an amazing venue, they need to up the music a bit. Having said that, i would 100% go back to Espana!

My review for Espana – An over the top restaurant and bar with unique artwork all around serving Spanish cuisine. I was invited to experience the pre Christmas dinner party by Time Out Dubai.

I liked the gazpacho shot and it was basically a soup inside a shot glass. The soup was creamy and it had the perfect consistency throughout. I tasted a lot of tomatoes but it was wonderful.

For the second round I had the grilled eggplant because I could not have the turkey. The grilled eggplant was delicious and I loved the aroma of the grilled cheese on top. I was impressed with the stuffing inside the eggplant as it complimented the eggplant taste.

For the third round I had the seafood paella which was not bad for flavours. The rice was great and the ratio of seafood to rice was good.

The dessert course would have to be my favourite. I fancied the churros the most of course, as they were made so perfectly. There was a perfect crisp to the outside of the churros and the well known soft texture on the inside.

This restaurant and bar deserves a rating of 4/5.

I ordered the taste of Christmas menu, which included rounds of courses. The items that I could eat due to being a pescatarian were padron peppers, gazpacho shot, potatoes with mojo, grilled eggplant, seafood paella, churros with chocolate dip, torrijas, and caramelized apple pie.

The service was great with one server and horrible with another. I was happy with our server, Olga, who was very attentive to our table and understood my dietary restrictions. Whenever the other server made a mistake by delivering the wrong items to the table, and who by the way, was really rude, she swooped in right away, making sure the situation was resolved quickly and kept us happy throughout the whole experience.

The ambience of the restaurant and bar was so beautiful. The whole place was filled with unique decor. There was modern and sophisticated artwork all around.

The restaurant had a TV wall with many TVs joined together to display one image. The images were playing Christmas themed pictures and videos, so it felt festive in the restaurant.

When you thought there was no more to the restaurant, there was a terrace in the back with many tables and chairs for those who likes to dine outside.

Finally, I have to talk about the furniture. The furniture was so unique here, and designed to match the artsy theme of the restaurant. The tables each have a coat or purse rack underneath so you can hang your items while enjoying your drinks and food.

Espana is a lovely authentic bar that has some really great vibes going on.I highly recommend checking out this place on Thursday night for the insanely cheap happy hour. It was my first time visiting here and I was simply dumbfounded as to how nice this place is. The only drawback I feel was that the place was a little too quiet but is most definitely worth checking out.

Espana is located in the 5* Jumeirah Creekside Hotel so right away you know it will be a classy place and it doesn’t disappoint. The venue itself is nice, modern, clean and hip. I came here a while ago when it first opened and I can see that they have made a few changes to their menu, which I am sure still has the same quality as when I went. The presentation was lovely and food tasted great. Prices were somewhat pocket friendly for a venue of this calibre and the drinks were thirst clenching.

A place that was on my go to list like forever.....so but natural the husband planned took me there for my birthday brunch and i have to say the wait was soo well worth it!!
Lets start with the decor...the place is almost like a photo opportunity wherever u look..from the beautifully done up walls..to the cool bar chairs.. to the lightings..its all simply gorgeous..
Next the live band adds on the latin flavor with the music, the songs and the dancing...they bring in a fantastic vibe..
Lastly the menu..the brunch is a set menu which is served in courses ..loved the appetizers ..the guacamole sandwiches...cheese sticks....the veg paella were delicious...for mains being a vegetarian i could only have the eggplant dish..which was tasty too but i would have liked for more variety.. the deserts included chocolate dipped churros, cheesecake and lemon tart...these were all pretty average..
Another highlight of the brunch were the fab drinks.. refreshing sangrias, mojitos, moscow mules were amazing....
the only incident we had was as soon as we entered the restaurant..instead of being directed to our table, we were taken to the cash counter and asked to pay up before we start our meal...this was quite odd...we got this to the attention of the team and the restaurant manager, came up to our table and deeply apologized for this and took it up with the team there immediately...appreciate the prompt action.
All in all.. if they add on to their vegetarian options. and improve on their deserts ...its a 5 on 5 restaurant for me....:))

Went to this place last June as a friend recommended it to me. I was impressed by the entrance of the restaurant and how it leads you inside. The interior decor was quite fascinating, very colourful and luminous. The bar was impressive with the high white bar stools with an eye logo. You could feel the spanish vibes. They also had huge projector screens with good music. The staff were really friendly and helpful while suggesting what to order. We had the sangría jug, gambas al ajillo, pan con tomate, croquetas and for main course we had like a chicken skewer, although not sure if they have it anymore as i have noticed that the menu has changed. For dessert we had the churros con chocolate. Overall we had a wonderful experience and i'm hoping to get my friends to try this place soon !

Great ambience, tasty Spanish food, fantastic drinks and desserts is all what you find when you visit "Espana".For main course, we had chicken and vegetarian paella which were so Spanish and yummy. Costillas de ternera which is a slow cooked beef short ribs. Chuletitas de cordero is a grilled lamb served with a vegi and cheese puree. All main courses were excellent. Desserts were the last thing we had which will remain in memory. Carrot cheesecake was average, but the wow one was the Churros dipped in chili chocolate sauce. This was a peace of heaven. Very much recommended.

I am a big fan of Sangria and I am usually on a look out for good places to savor it. All this while Seville’s has been my go to place.

But my visit to Espana got me happy as a child. The sangria is DELICIOUS, and it’s half the price of Seville’s.

The place had a great casual vibe, a live band and a very very nice server. I wish I got his name. He made the experience even better, patient and constantly engaging us with his thoughts on the menu and giving us his recommendations.

For mains I ordered the Risotto (veg) because the menu said it was a must try and so did our Russian server. And I’ll say that - they weren’t wrong!! Apt portion, not as heavy as conventional risotto and a refreshing lemon flavor.

Husband ate lamb chops and he loved them too.

This place doesn’t leave a dent in the pocket and shows you a good time. The live band with Latin music is an add on that doesn’t disappoint.

The decor is below average, but with all other things being right, you don’t really notice that.

This place has a rating of 4.3 on Zomato so when we walked in we were already expecting something fabulous. Sadly it wasn’t to be. Can’t say it was a bad experience but certainly not worth that high a rating. Tried the Plato Iberico which was different pork charcuterie along with olives and gherkins. The charcuterie was really nice no doubt about that. Also had the Turkey croquettes which was not bad but as I mentioned probably we were expecting a lot more in terms of the flavors. Finally for dessert we tried the drunken plum which was okay but probably not the best either. I know this might sound a bit strange considering none of what we had a really bad per se but honestly we went in expecting a lot more and because everything was pretty passé it was a bit of a let down.

Much hyped about, just about lives up to it. The decor of the place deserves a review of it's own: it's like 3 very different and eccentric designers got together to see who could be more zany and put it all under one roof. Tl;dr it's hilariously gaudy.

The food on the other hand is great. A decent paella, a good Burger and great shortrib mixed with risotto resulted in a decent dinner.

The place has right ambince, attentive staff and good food for your evening. There are high bar chairs with a glaring eyes ( see photos) on back, and mega LED screens with 3D effect visuals, awoseme decoration and even a couch at entrance adds to great ambience. Only thing is music could have been little less loud and lights dimmer. They serve Spanish food and we tried crispy Amazonica: multivgetable waffers - good sides with the drinks and Pan Tumaca- a bread with fresh cut tomato, cheese, mint and basil leaves- very good taste - cheese could have been more though. They have ladies night on Wednesday with 3 free drinks and 25% off on food. Try there@ white wine sangria is one worth trying...if you are interested. Love the place for ambience. Will visit again.

Fantastic experience.
We went for the Brunch with the idea of having a buffet and free-flowing drinks, but we found out it was a set menu. Having said that, everything was amazing. Excellent taste and the service was great.

Our tapas were gazpacho, montaditos, empanadas, pimientos and a salad. Afterwards, we got a vegetarian paella with chicken skewers (forgot the name) which were fantastic! To close it: churros and a carrot cheesecake. Uff!

Kudos to the staff and to the chef!

Superb place!!!!

I was celebrating there 2 days ago my 9th Wedding Anniversary with my husband. The restaurant was already briefed regarding the reason of our visit on the 19th night 😉 and they didn't disappoint.

They exceeded our expectations.

Firstly, we were greeted by a Lady (I cannot remember her name unfortunatelly) who showed us the place around and in the end we chose a table in the main hall (just opposite to the huge screens where the latino videoclips were displayed). Then while alreadt seated we were greated by the floor manager - Ivan. He was amazing, very very nice. He offered us complimentary jug of Sangria for this occasion - I chose Siesta Sangria (the red one). And believe me - the taste of it took me back 20 years when I traveled to Spain!!!!

Excellent!!!!

Then for our entrance order we had the following tapas:
1)Plato iberico
2)Pan Tumaca
3)Croquetas de Pavo
4)Epmanadas de Ternera
Everything was super delicious but for my palette best of the best were Croquetas!!!!! To die for. Super creamy, crispy on the outside and warm and melting on the inside - unbelievably tasty!!!! I wished we ordered more of these 😉

For our main course we had Solomillo de ternera... Oh boy!!!!! My taste buds were dancing salsa in my mouth!!!! Meat simply melts and disperse in your mouth in seconds!!!!! If you are a meat lover like me it's a Must to order!!!!! I just wish the portion was bigger because the pleasure you have from eating this succulent piece of steak lasts definitely too short 🤣
My husband had glass of red wine with the meal - Cotes Du Rhone,Chautier,France. It was adviced by the best waiter ever - Boris!!!! He was so helpful all the night, smiling, attentive, just spot on - the waiter you always wished to be served by !!! ❤

Since it was the ladies night I had the pleasure of getting 3 complimentary drink orders so I chose:
1)Cosmopassion Tini Cocktail
2) Velvet Daiquiri Coctail
3)Gin-gin Mule Coctail
Again - Boris was right. The best was Cosmopassion....Yummmm😋
The Gin-gin Mule wasn't kind of my drink - I think it had too much of additional spices I didn't like (it tasted too Indian for me) so I ordered one more drink - Watermelon Cooler. It was Superb! So refreshing, you could smell the watermelon from a distance. Really great.

For a complimentary desert as a gift for our anniversary we got the Carrot Cheesecake.
It had really unexpected taste, very oriental, surprisingly you don't taste carrots at all. On the plate as garnish there are few slices of plums (with the smears or plum sauce) that are marinated with the hint of cinnamon. Another hit meal 😀!
Not to forget the restaurant gave also each of us complimentary glass of white sparkling wine 🥂

So the summary of our evening was the following:

España Restaurant & Bar is the place you must visit if you are either resident or the tourist in Dubai.
Everything there deserves 5* starting from decoration, music (we are latino music lovers), service (amazing,polite and all the time next to you), food and drinks (pure art in every way - beautiful like paintings, and tastes even better than it looks!!!).

That's the place we will be definitly coming back to and not only on occasions!!!!

I'd recommend to to anyone anytime 😀

Went here last night with our group of ladies to try their ladies night event. We didn't expect much and we didn't think that they will impress us a lot!

First, thank you to our server, Borris, who did an amazing job with our group, always smiling and happy to serve you all the time!

Second, the food. We had Lentil Salad, Beef Puff Pastry, Croquetas de Pavo, Huevos Estrellados and Carrot Cheesecake. The food presentation is superb, like you are in a fine dining restaurant. And the taste? Unbelievable! You will savour each bite. The Carrot Cheesecake is a must try too, your palate won't even have the slightest taste of the carrot. And as per the menu says, it's the chef's secret recipe that I would definitely die to get!

Third, the drinks. We had the Cosmopassion, Virgin Gin-Gin Mule, Red and White Sangria. Again, the presentation is excellent. Try the Cosmopassion too without alcohol in it and you will definitely love it. A bit sweet but it's perfectly fine.

Fourth, the decors. Their decors will definitely capture your eyes, from the high chairs, dining table and sofas, to the tiles, a pop of red, lightning and very artistic vibe. Their tv screens on the walls has scenes from nightlifes in Spain and the one in front of us has Latin music videos.

The place became so lively past 10PM, especially when they started playing Salsa music! A very lively evening indeed. Can't wait to come back here for our proper dinner. A must visit and highly recommended!

Brilliant fooood and some great Latino music!

We tried the chicken kebabs, beetroot and goat cheese balls and the roasted bell peppers. Everything was cooked to perfection. The kebabs were really soft and melting in the mouth! Our server, Aliya, was very sweet and helpful. The manager, Evan, made sure everything was well taken care of.

Will definitely keep visiting this lovely place.

While looking for new places to try out for dinner over the weekend, we came across España at the Jumeirah Creekside Hotel in Garhoud. Having taken a look at the menu, the sangria and tapas selection definitely made the decision for us. This new nightspot is an amalgamation of nightlife of various Spanish cities, all in one place.

Note: This review consists of a dish made of pork.

The Food:
Fresh Prawns al Ajillo: The prawns were well cooked and succulent while the white wine sauce was buttery and light. In addition there were slices of asparagus, broccoli and cauliflower which added to the dish being fresh and flavoursome.
Pollito Moruno: The chicken was moist & cooked well and the sauce that accompanied it was tasty, although we did feel that the chicken itself could have had more flavour, perhaps more marination. The strips of celery that topped the skewers added a fresh bold element to the dish.
Plato Iberico (pork): A simple dish with three types of pork slices on a slate slab. The meat was salty and delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed everything on the plate. The potato crisp was a nice textural element while the olives and gherkins provided extra sour and salty flavours.
Patatas Bravas: Fried potatoes with a spicy tomato sauce and a bit of mayonnaise. A few cubes of potatoes with a hollow centre filled with mayonnaise. A well presented and modern take on the most popular Spanish tapas dish. However we do like the classics and felt that the pieces of potato should have been cubes instead.
Beetroot and Goat Cheese Croquettes: The croquettes were fried golden on the outside while the inside was pink thanks to the mix of goat's cheese and beetroot. A delicious dish but the cheese is quite strong so expect some big flavours. The presentation was average and could be improved.
Seafood Paella: España serves this huge rice dish with a mix of seafood. We found the dish to be slightly bland and recommend squeezing some lemon over the dish before digging in. The seafood were all cooked well and was presented beautifully. Although we did feel that perhaps the rice and the seafood were cooked separately and then combined before serving instead of being cooked altogether in the paella pan.
Medio Pollo Asado: The outer part of the chicken was delicious and the chicken was cooked well. But since the piece was quite large, the flavours didn't get to go through, hence ended up being bland in the middle. Perhaps some more sauce with the chicken would help elevate this overall average dish.

The Drinks
All Night Long Sangria Pitcher: A delicious and refreshing drink with citrusy, sweet tones to it. One pitcher is enough for 4 people to each have a glass.
Watermelon Cooler Mocktail: Fresh watermelon, passion fruit, sugar and lemon. A delicious, sweet and refreshing watermelon drink.

The Dessert
Churros: We were really excited to try this since, España claims to make the worlds best churros. The chocolate is thick and creamy with a hint of chili, however the churro itself seemed undercooked and doughy. Together the whole package tasted alright, but unfortunately it doesn't live up to España's claim.

Service
When we visited Espana the restaurant was empty. The greeting at the door was nice, we were given ample options for seating. The servers were polite, however at times they were quite inattentive. Another point worth noting is that one of their video walls stopped working and defaulted to the windows login screen. This was almost at the start of our meal, but nobody bothered correcting this the rest of the time we were there, even when the servers were standing and looking at the wall directly. This is where attention to detail and presence of mind is important and was lacking.

The Venue
When you enter España, you feel like you're on going to be taken on an eclectic Spanish journey. This is perfect because the walls are windows to a beach setting (they have video walls with a sandy beach on display). España is trying to transport you to Spain, and it's an interesting concept overall.
Other aspects of the venue were a bit confusing. España has some strange decorations, such as a section of a wall with roses and hands protruding out of it along with a large armchair in front of it. The barstools had a large eye on the outside of it, while the artwork was a mixed media medley of flowers, masquerade masks and lopsided frames. The colour scheme is overall red and black and gives off a bar or club type of setting rather than a fine dining experience.
There is also a DJ playing music and the empty space near the bar made us feel like España could be transformed into a club on some nights. Which made sense when we saw promos that España also has Ladies Nights and other such events.
Overall an interesting but confusing ambience.

Our verdict: Some great Spanish food, with an expensive price tag and interesting decor. Rating on our blog: 8.0

Espana…… a very refreshing take on the Spanish dining scene in Dubai. I’ve been here twice already – for a regular night dinner and on a Wednesday for their Ladies Night.

Let’s start with the venue. Very quirky interiors, spacious and a good ambiance, with some great music. Staff are friendly and attentive. You will occasionally have the owner’s dad paying a friendly visit to your table.

Their Sangria is must have! And the price is amazing for a jug compared to other Spanish places around.

Coming to the food – it’s DELICIOUS! And prices are pretty reasonable too.

I thoroughly recommend their Seafood Paella, Thyme & Lime Risotto and fried Sardines! The Patatas Bravas is good too.

Missing the Churros for dessert is not forgivable, because that chocolate is sinfully good :D

Oh and their Ladies Night is an amazing deal. Ladies can choose from either a complimentary jug of sangria or 3 selected drinks. Plus 25% off on the food menu. Now that’s a steal deal you don’t want to miss.

Brilliant food! I was a little taken back by the generous portions it was a welcome surprise. The restaurant feels chic yet homely suitable for a night out with friends, friendly vibe and great cocktail menu, or even a dinner date with a partner with great food and atmosphere.

We were visited by Mr.Mahtani a few times to chat with us and ensure that we were having a great evening. A lovely warm gesture which left us with a smile, it can often be undervalued by restaurants in Dubai its ads personality and value.

For starters, we ordered some tapas, the Pan Tumaka and Escalibada de Tuna.
For mains, we ordered the Medio Pollo Asado, the chicken with spinach leaves were fantastic nothing was left behind. Choletitas de Cordero, lamb chops with vegetables were equally as good.
For dessert, we ordered the Churros. About 8 finger pieces of fried sugar covered doughnuts accompanied by spiced dark chocolate dipping sauce. Yum.

For drinks, we ordered the All night long Sangria, a refreshing and great fusion of flavors. Watermelon shots, zesty with a kick.

Five friends and I gathered for the 'Netflix & No Chill evening at Espana's, decked in our PJ bests! It was delectable. Fantastic service and very attentive waiters. Such a uniquely creative and comfortable theme! The food was amazing, my favorites included the empanadas and green peppers for apps followed by their Tangy Sangria. A first rate dining experience with an eclectic ambiance and gorgeous Latin inspired artwork. I will definitely come back again!

Surprisingly we likes this place - the food quality is good, the selection of drinks and the fact that it was not very crowded, just enough people and just enough music to still hear each other when talking. We could potentially frequent this venue. NB: the monica lewinsky drink met my expectation 😀 and their Sangria is one of the best. If you're somewhere Garhoud, this is the place to go to enjoy good quality Spanish food and drinks. Don't even make a mistake to go to the opposite side, the food there is terrible.

So we had the privilege to visit Espana dubai . I must say it's a great addition to the dubai Spanish food scene. We ordered a Spanish cheese platter, ratatouille puff pastry, pedro peppers, smoked salmon and pumpkin with basil pesto for appetizers a steak and paella for main course. Everything we tried from the appetizers to the main course was amazing. I personally enjoyed the cheese plate and the smoked salmon the most. The interior was very artistic and refreshing. Loved the vibe of the place. The staff and the management were also warm and welcoming. Overall we had a wonderful experience. I went to Espana Dubai with a couple of dear friends for the first time last Thursday. We all had a great time over there. Starting from ambiance to food and music.. All were very good. Waiters were very courteous and prompt. Food was delicious. DJ playing that night was awesome. Kept the whole floor dancing. Overall, we loved the place. Keep it up guys.

Lovely ambience and beautiful decors combined with some groovy music and the ever so lovely staff is the highlight of this place. Came here on a weekend for some cocktails and boy was i impressed!! We tried the La Paloma which came with dried orange slices and caramelized popcorn, a watermelon Cooler, a White Mexicano and a Pokegrante Julep. All the cocktails were one better than the other in terms or taste though i feel they could make the drinks slightly stronger. Special shoutout to the Owner's Dad who was doing some rounds (can't remember his name unfortunately). Such a wonderful person. Ensured that all was well on our table and kept checking on us as well. A gem of a person.
Overall, a lovely experience and I'd love to come back for more.

A great restaurant, with a beautiful ambiance, live music, drinks and food.

The servers were really good and suggested some great drinks and dishes. The service was quick and in perfect intervals. A valet parking is available at the entrance so it gets even better.

The Pomegranate Julep Mocktail and Watermelon Cooler Mocktail are the ones to look out for. Refreshing and delicious, must be consumed quick as the flavour recedes with time due to crushed ice added to it.

Pollito Moruno is a different version of a chicken kebab with Spanish flavours in it. Tastes delicious with or without the sauce provided.

Fresh Prawns Al Ajillo is an alcoholic dish of fresh prawns. The prawns were excellently cooked and served in a beautiful manner.

Fried Mozzarella was good with the sauce provided. Not the best but decent.

In terms of Pasta, we tried their Fettuccine A La Green, a pasta filled with green peas and sauce, vegetarian based. It was pretty good.

To clear the taste, we had the Blu Sparkling with Lemon.

For dessert, I highly recommend Plum with a Twist, an alcohol based dessert. It has literally all the taste in it. It's sweet, sour, a bitter due to the red wine marination.

The price is pretty reasonable for such an ambiance, food, drinks and live music, all in one place.

My visit this place was on a weekday around 11 pm the place was occupied with very minimal crowd . As we entered we were quiet stunned looking at the beautiful ambience and we had also got to meet the owner Mr Amir who was very much friendly and recommended some of their best cocktails and we loved it . When it comes to the food everything was just perfect prepared , presented & we loved the taste of it . The only issue what I felt was the staff lady she was not able to respond to what so ever we trying to ask related to the place , food or the cocktail which was a bit disappointing for us .

Brilliantly eccentric interiors is the first thing that catches the eye when one enters this new gem in Garhoud.

The place wasn't crowded inspire of being a Friday night which was a bit of a surprise and a shame at the same time considering how difficult it is to get a place even very ordinary places in Dubai during weekends. I'm pretty confident word of mouth will soon make Espana one of the most sought after places in Dubai, very soon.

Coming to a the food and drinks. The Bartenders were excellent and offered our group brilliant cocktails as per our tastes and each of the cocktail was better than the other. The food was great as well, Spanish tapas are light on the stomach and the smaller portions ensures that you want to try more varieties.

We were invited to experience Espana which is located in Jumeirah Creekside hotel. What will catch your eye is the beyond breathtaking interiors that is not your regular bar/ lounge aesthetic. It's funky and eccentric.

Starting with drinks, they are fabulous. You can't go wrong with whichever you pick and they have a great selection of cocktails and mocktails. Paired with the beautiful interiors and you've got yourself a great night out. Highly recommend the drinks.

The food was not our absolute favorite. We were recommend Padron peppers and their beef empanadas for appetizer. The peppers lacked any sort of spiciness and just had an overwhelming charred flavour. The beef empanadas had a nice filling.

For mains we went with Solomillo de Ternera (tenderloin steak) and Chorizo spaghetti. The steak was much drier than I would like however, spaghetti had a good flavour and the smokiness of the chorizo paired well with the taste of the roasted pepper.

The dessert of choice was the carrot cheesecake which was really delicious, not too sweet or heavy.

Overall I would recommend this place for drinks and the cool & quirky interiors.

Ole’...@Espana.. the self explanatory name itself suggests the roots of this restaurant and of course the cuisine served here but what makes it more popular is it's Ibiza based nightlife theme, which has shot them to instant fame and got it trending in all the food circles in Dubai; even word of mouth!! (does word of mouth even exist now?.. well I suppose so!)!!

Since I am a Pronounced Foodie in my Office Circles, my Brazilian colleague took me there on a Saturday evening to celebrate her Birthday. She got wind of this Place from her flat mate who is of Spanish descent; who had to fly out that day and couldn't join us. What a pity- now the onus lies on me to order because I carry this label...So I decide to try Hit and Miss method...psst!! Did a little bit of Research too!

Okay here goes.. First things First- It's very easy to locate and Parking is not a problem here. Valet services are there too!

The moment I hit the entrance to the place there was Ibiza written all around. The ambience is dark and dimly lit but very apt for the theme. The interiors look outlandish but brilliant with optimum combination of colours. I went around and feasted my eyes on the decor and also the Bar. They even have a separate booze-end for ladies.... hmmm! There's even a Bizarre room which is designed upside down!😲!

So I finally sat down and ordered two Mocktails. First one called Monica Lewinsky- wink, wink😉...(as a tribute to the former White House intern....ahem.. I will not dwell much on that). The second one was Pomegranate Julep. Both were Presented well but the presentation of pomegranate Julep was quite unique and fascinating. Since it was dark I couldn't get a very clear photograph though. Both the mock-tails tasted swell🤗. This enlivened my enthusiasm and I went ahead and ordered the whole course.!! Service is quick enough.

The precursor to any meal is a Tapas - tapas or "tiny rations" are appetisers munched on before lunch or dinner. In Spanish Culture, I heard that Lunch is a heavy and passionate affair with lunch breaks followed by a siesta( a short afternoon nap; can get longer depending on the person you work for😂😂)that can go on for upto 3 hours...anybody in the Middle East hearing me??!!

We opened plates with the Pan Tumaka and tortilla Espanola! Well,..simply put; a pan tumaka is garlic bread topped with basil and tomato based topping and the latter is Spanish Omelette with potatoes and onion. Simple yet yum.😋

This was followed by Prawns al Ajillo- a soupy side dish with prawns, white wine, garlic, chillies, parsley and salmon crisp. Presentation was nice with two pieces of wholegrain toast placed like the ear of a rabbit.

Then arrived my next order in Tapas -Beef Bacon in baked potato skins. (For vegans there is a mushroom option too!) ; strips of bacon with mozzarella, Jerusalem Artichoke purée, balsamic vinegar and green onions stuffed inside a baked potato!! Ingenious, delicious and healthy! The presentation is just insane!

I also Ordered a Chorizo spaghetti to go along with it- it's made with shallots, Beef Chorizo, Home-made spaghetti, Parmesan Cheese, roasted peppers and parsley.

Next dish .......drum roll.....drum roll again .....wait for it........Steak!! - Solomillo De Ternera....translated as Tenderloin Steak with garlic spinach and peppercorn sauce. Take my word for it; this is probably one of the best Steaks I've ever tasted. So soft and melt in the mouth and you can cut through it like butter. Just the presentation itself makes you drool!!

For dessert I selected Carrot Cheesecake and Plum with a twist. Both the desserts were presented well. Carrot cheesecake tasted yum while the plum with a twist had a plum hidden under layers of different coloured cotton candy.

We went around and clicked lots of pics too. Well you need to have some stills for the future right? Wish I had bought my camera. Sob!! Had to make do with mobile camera, couldn't help it though.

I would recommend this place highly for a nice lounge bar kind of vibe. Very funky and modern decor. Nice seating. Loved their decor with their lovely layout of the restaurant and bar area. They even have a ladies only section bar too. DJ was great playing really good music.

I absolutely love their spanish tapas style food. Its small but its well proportioned (not too big or too small), and fills you up if you order a few sharing dishes. The waiter also served us the food directly to our plates. Recommended to try their mozzarella sticks and beef bacon potato skin. They are both so tasty and not at all heavy. Prices are well decent! Taking into account the quality of the food i expected it to be pricier. Furthermore, at the end of the meal they even served us complimentary chocs. Definitely a nice sweet gesture!

Service was a bit slow in the beginning, but throughout it was attentive. Waiters need to smile more..some of the staff looked way too serious lol Overall, def one of those places ill be coming back to.

Came here for dinner @espanadxb , place looks great, ordered: montadito de ternera (5), beef bacon potato skin(4), empanadas de ternera (3), thyme and limr risotto(4.5), conejo con patatas/ slow cooked rabbit(3), solomillo de ternera (4.5)steak.

My top 3 were montadito de ternea, yhyme and lime risotto, and solomillo steak.

Service was great.

I was invited to this place - and that's how I came to know about it. It is barely a few days new - and as the owner mentioned correctly, the place is new till they are counting in days, instead of weeks.

The place has a small pretty entrance - the red colour theme being evident right since the beginning. The entrance aisle opens up to the bar with all amazing alcohol spreads across the counter. It has special sections dedicated for dine -ins, for you to have a quiet peaceful dinner. And it can also be booked for some small event. There is another section with glass walls - where only ladies are allowed. The only man to be present there is the lucky bartender. There is an upside down room where you can go once you are high (it has tables and chairs on top and floor is like a ceiling. And another section - which is outdoor a nice pretty place with lighter music.

We chose to sit at the bar, where we were offered drinks of our choice. We went for Sangrias and cocktails. For food we ordered potatoes with skin, and two veg starters. Food is really delicious.

The theme of red can be seen all around. And it has huge screens on all the walls showing trance designs. The place really is very quirky and has an edge to it. Very very different! I say you must visit yourself to experience this fancy not-so-little Spanish bar in Dubai!

Love this new place! The service is attentive without being intrusive and the food, A-Mazing! We'd gone for drinks and ordered their cheese platter and a tortilla. The presentation of both was impeccable and at the end of our meal, our server even brought us a small tray of complimentary chocolates.

This is a newly opened restaurant - it's a fine dining restaurant cum bar cum tapas lounge - except for the interior which was a bit too gawky for my taste, we loved all that we were offered here !
The servers were sweet and hospitable , food and drinks were amazing .
We had an extensive dinner here along with a selection of mocktails .

The bartenders are such experts - it's really amusing watching them do tricks to make you a gorgeous drink ! They made a few custome mocktails for us - the best one was with grapefruit and a small popcorn cone attached to the glass (adorable !)

I would confidently give Espana the title of the coolest lounge in town. Due to its drop-dead-gorgeous interiors, it is definitely up there with one of the best all-round places to go and simply HAVE FUN!

From the moment you walk in, it's as though you left Dubai at the door, and entered a whole new realm. From decorative mirrors, to optical illusion screens, there is no inch left undesigned. The lounge is huge, divided into many sections, they've even got an all-girls bar where girls can finally go and have a nice girls out without being bothered by anyone! Genius idea! They've also got private seating areas to host dinner parties, and if that's not enough, they've even got an upside down room, which has the furniture stuck on the ceiling. The word 'cool' simply doesn't give this lounge justice! The interiors team behind Espana are beyond creative, and I am sure that they will be recognized for their creativity in award shows.

The food is also amazing. From Spanish tapas (rightfully titled "Beautiful Things" in the menu), to one of the best steaks I've had in a very long time; I was left smiling from ear to ear!

For the tapas I tried many, but the ones that stood out to me the most, and the ones I strongly suggest you give a try are the following:

- Empanadas De Ternera (Beef Puff Pastry)
You would be crazy to think that I would go to a Spanish restaurant and not order Empanadas! Empanadas are the epitome of Spanish tapas, well, at least to me they are! And at Espana, they did them justice! Picture this, a perfectly baked home-made pastry shell filled with mozzarella cheese, emmenthal cheese, garlic, coriander, white wine and beef bacon. Heaven. Am I right?

- Croquetas De Queso (Beetroot & Goat Cheese Croquettes)
They actually offered vegetarian (this one) and non-vegetarian croquettes (with turkey), but after trying both, I was pleasantly surprised that I actually preferred the vegetarian option! Not to discredit the Croquetas De Pavo (Turkey Croquettes), I just found that the De Queso one had more flavor, and being the Beetroot-obsessed person that I am, I am sure that that addition ingredient was what caused me to learn more towards the vegetarian option.

- Beef Bacon Potato Skins
These scrumptious potato skins are beyond delicious! Their a healthy version of the classic potato skins; but just as tasty, if not tastier! With beef strips, shredded mozzarella sitting on top of a perfectly baked potato; you will be asking for another partition; guaranteed!

The food kept getting better and better, by the time we reached the main courses, we could not imagine the food getting any better. But we were wrong. The main courses were even more delicious than the tapas! My friends and I each took a different main course and we pretty much mixed and matched, getting to try all of them! We ordered:

- Solomillo De Ternera
If you're a steak lover, than you HAVE TO try this melts-in-your-mouth tenderloin steak! It's absolutely delicious! Served alongside garlic spinach and peppercorn sauce, this was definitely my favorite from the bunch!

- Beef Short Ribs
Slowly cooked beef short ribs with chipotle, lime, bay leaves and ground cloves resting on a thyme and lime risotto. It sounds amazing because it is. These short ribs were so tender, we had no need to use any knives! We could easily cut ourselves a piece by using a spoon!

- Chuletitas De Cordero
If you're a fan of lamb cutlets, this meal is the one for you! Grilled lamb on a sofa of mashed vegetable puree. Made to perfection!

As I am sure you've already mentally noted by now, Espana's main courses are phenomenal! Many lounges and bars around Dubai only focus on their drinks, but Espana went way beyond that. And not leaving their drinks behind either! We had a number of mocktails and they were all so delicious! I especially loved their Watermelon Cooler! It's a mix of fresh watermelon & passionfruit, with a tint of lemon and sugar, I could not have asked for a more refreshing drink! And it complemented my dinner excellently!

Overall Espana is the place to be! With friends for a fun night out, or especially for celebrating a special occasion, I strongly suggest you consider Espana! Stunning interiors, great service, phenomenal food; there is no way you will not enjoy your evening at Espana!

I can't stop raving about this place. Stunning interiors, great vibe, amazing food and drinks, what more can one ask for! The last time I was here was for the Ladies night which I thoroughly enjoyed. This time I was here for dinner.

This place is not just a lounge. Its a restaurant that turns into a lounge in the evenings and I must say they serve some good looking and great tasting delicacies.

For the drinks we called for for a Watermelon Cooler Cocktail and a Classic Mojito. The Watermelon Cooler was refreshing and had fresh watermelon, passion fruit, sugar and lemon. We also called for a Classic Mojito that was equally good.

With the drinks we were served the Crispy Amazonica that had crispy crunchy chips of beetroot, potato, parsley, carrot, onion and parsnip chips with almonds in soy sauce. Now who does not have a weakness for chips and with these being so crunchy and oil free, we finished them in no time.

We then had the Croquetas De Queso - the beetroot and goat cheese croquettes. I had never imagined having goat cheese blended with beetroot and enjoyed the taste of the croquette. We also had the Pollo Loco - a beautifully served salad of smoked chicken, mayonnaise,mushrooms, green onion, croutons, almonds and pea seedings. The starters continued with the Baked beetroot with carrot and pumpkin puree. It was perfectly done and tasted great with the homemade cheese and the puree.

For the mains, we tried the Pollito Moruno, marinated chicken skewers with the home-made Mojo sauce. The chicken was tender and tastes good. We also called for a Salmon that was served on a cushion of lentils, cauliflower and celery. The Salmon was definitely the show stopper of the evening. Perfectly cooked salmon with the great tasting lentils..we could not resist finishing this in no time.

We ended the meal on a sweet note with a Carrot Cheesecake, It had a great texture, not very cheesy and perfectly sweet.

The Ladies Night:

Ladies night at this gorgeous venue and I was extremely glad I made it. I was extremely impressed with the way the place is done up and can't stop raving about it. It is extremely stylish and plush.

With the way the interiors are done, the ladies night is taken to the next level with mannequins on the walls dressed up all prim and proper holding drinks. They have an upside down room with grass on the roof and lighting upside down. The screens, the lighting and the ambience are all so amazing.

We were a bunch of ladies here one evening and throughly enjoyed ourselves. 3 drinks were on the house and there was great finger food as well. I called for a Virgin Mojito for myself and believe you me it was a pretty looking drink that also tasted great.

In the finger food we had the Fried Mozzarella that were mozarella sticks with gazpacho sauce - a Spanish sauce that was sweet and spicy and had a very different flavour. We also had the Fresh Prawns al Ajillo - fresh prawns, garlic, fresh chilli parsley and salmon crisp.The prawns were steamed and had a right flavour. I would have preferred them a little more cooked.

We had a portion of Tapas, the Crispy Amazonica that had crispy crunchy chips of beetroot, potato, parsley, carrot, onion and parsnip chips with almonds in soy sauce. To me they tasted almost like potato chips in different colour but then that cos I am a big fan of potato.

This place for sure is a great hangout with friends and I would sure recommend the ladies night.

Visited this place late night on a weekend, brand new just a week old beautiful Spanish Lounge. Feels like you love into a fairy tale world as you enter this place . The interiors are exceptional and I instantly fell in love with it . They have a beautiful ladies bar too which looks outstanding . We chose to sit at the bar area , staff were really friendly . We had Siesta sangria (made with red wine , martini, lemon grass ) and all night long sangria (sparkling wine , passion fruit ) . Both were amazing , loved the all night long better . However the sangria wasn't that strong as it is authentically served in Spain but it was good though. We had smoked salmon and fresh prawns which was really delicious . We were so full that we missed to try the tapas probably the next time going to have it . The ambience , crowd, music , food , alcohol was just perfect and we had one of the best evenings for sure . When you enter Espana at the Jumeirah Creekside hotel which officially launched this weekend, you may cringe a little bit because of the interiors. It’s a concept that you keep questioning as you walk in. It looks akin to an Ibiza club with very Gaudi meets Dali style and has different backdrops of Spain projecting on to the walls. This place also has a ladies only bar and an ‘upside-down’ room which probably won’t help if you’re intoxicated in my opinion.

Been there for the opening and i have to say that i was very impressed with the design of the restaurant! You can feel the spanish flavor mixed with new and fashion designs! Big screens transporting you from beautiful beaches to a game of colors and lights. The restaurant has different ambiences, you have to go and discover! There is many hidden details! In the middle of the restaurant there is a glass LADIES ONLY BAR, such a new thing!
Personally i loved the Andalusian terrace, so lovely 😍
Can't wait to go and try the food, i only tried some canapés, my favorite was the croquetes! Amazing!
Had some spanish white wine and soon i will pass by to try cocktails!

Espana is one of those rare places in Dubai that actually lives up to the hype. It is both elegant warm, providing a luxurious visual sense, as well as a warm atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Especially the way the venue is somewhat divided into different sections, but without cutting you of from the the rest of the place. All in all, just a very charming design.

As for the service, it is great. The servers are friendly and always wearing a smile. The food is delicious and tastes authentic, with great quality to match. The cocktails are plentiful and creative, with something for everyone (I think we've tried about 16 different ones so far? All of which scored nothing less than 4 out of 5), and finally the whole ambiance and atmosphere is just an upbeat fun-tastic taste of Spain.

Highly recommended. An instant new fav in Dubai.

Cool place.. the interior is really impressing and the terrace is cozy and beautiful.
Tried couple of dishes are taste great.. highly recommend the potato skin with bacon appetizer, ribs and burger are super.
The staff are so nice :)
They have plenty of signature cocktails.. if ur a Whisky fan, then try the old fashion they do with their twist.. or the Moscow mule with the Arabian spicy taste... ohh!! the sangrias are perfect..
Most important, you can have amazing meal and couple of drinks without ripping your bank account or CC..

Espana is probably the best lounges I have been in Dubai .. period!!The ambiance is absolutely electrifying ! I know we have The Irish village, Century village for a long time, but honestly, Espana stands out from the rest.. I will tell you why..The drinks, the cocktails is just pure pleasure, so creative from the bartenders and its such a treat to watch them make! so skilled and so many varieties that makes you crave for more! The bartenders, the entire team is very friendly, accommodating and are always there at your service.! Secondly, value for money! you walk into a lounge with such swanky interiors.. u expect to carry a fat wallet, but its not the case in Espana! so reasonable, i was so amazed by the price it is totally worth it!

Overall, Im giving you a fat 5/5 for all the effort u guys have put in to make this truly a gr8 venue! And to those who r reading my review, I work for Emirates Group and we are entitled for 50% discount the whole of march on food & beverages! dont miss it! go for it! chrx!
