We went for dinner at SBI few days back with sm friends from India..Undoubtedly the most yummiest turkish food in town..Super location with very nice n casual outdoor sitting..the menu has so much variety that I need to come back atleast a couple of time to taste all the things..moderately priced..The Iskender Kebab..a must try !!

Situated on 2nd floor the courteous staff and the immediate service was a highlight to the service offered. Loved all the dishes but personal favorite was the pita and the sandwich . Both tavuk shish kebab and chicken wings too were amazing and loved it . Go with your friends because the quantity is quite filling and tasty to satisfy any food lovers . Yes the authentic Turkish taste is what you will experience at this place like never before .

Earlier this week, I was invited for a tasting at Sultan Baba Iskender and I decided to make it a lunch date with my Mum and little one.
Sultan Baba Iskender has a wide grill menu that boasts over 30 varieties of kebaps, apart from pitas, starters, doners, salads and desserts. They are currently serving at four branches across Dubai with the latest one being at Festival Plaza Jebel Ali.
Diving straight into the food, I want to start by praising their complimentary fresh Pita Bread that comes with traditional relishes and dips - IT WAS THE BEST! 😍
Next, we ordered simple starters which are my Mum's favorites:
• Hummus and Fattoush - Both were so good! Especially the Fattoush, so fresh, crunchy and flavours on point 👌🏼
For the main course, we chose to order:
• Pirzola (Lamb Chops) - I really liked the taste, it was well marinated and juicy
• Tavuk Adana (Adana Chicken) - omg, the the last time I had this dish was in Turkey last year!! So it made me very nostalgic 😭🤩😅 You can swipe to see a video of how tender this was!
Lastly, I want to thank the staff for being extremely kind and courteous!
I had to rush so I didn't get to wrap-up my meal with the famous Turkish Tea or desserts in this visit (will definitely be going back for it some day soon!).
I visited yesterday afternoon Sultan Baba Iskender, and I can’t recommend it more ! Everything was perfect . Never tried a proper Turkish cuisine so there was a new experience and I don’t regret it at all ! Started with soup and traditional bread , going for some delicious lamb and chicken for man - followed by outstanding Turkish crepes with ice cream.
I definitely recommend this restaurant. If you’re craving delicious Turkish feast - this place is for you

Sultan Baba Iskender is a Turkish dine in restaurant inside the food court of Dubai Festival City Mall. They serve one of the finest tasting Turkish cuisines with a variety of options like Kebabs, Wraps, Pides, Pitas, Salads etc. They have a separate sitting arrangement with respect to Social Distancing. One can enjoy their hospitality and world famous Turkish food in a nice atmosphere. The food tastes like home made dishes & i am sure everyone would enjoy it.
Tried their Signature Adana kebab chicken & Adana Kebab wrap Chicken which was a grilled wrap. Superb marinated Chicken, well grilled to perfection.
Pirzola Lamb chops has a subtle marination & very soft. Tavuk Chicken Wings is another starter not to be missed.
Pide with white cheese is loved by children & Doner wrap Chicken was out of this world. Their juices were sugar free and freshly squeezed Orange juice was superb. Nice place to enjoy good tasty food and value for money compared to the portion size served.
This place has a very extensive Turkish menu. The staff were kind and friendly and the food was delicious. I filled up on the fresh hot bread and dips but still wanted to keep going. The manti was a favorite as well as there name sake the iskendar, which I asked to be made with rice not bread. I literally couldn’t fit dessert in, but finished up with a nice hot tea. The interior shows this has been around for a while but enough time to perfect all the dishes they have

They have got a wide varieties of dishes from kebabs, Pitas, Starters, Doners, Salads and desserts.
The food was so fresh and authentic and was freshly prepared right after the order.
Adena kebab chicken - Seasoned spicy chicken was served with rice and fries was very delicious and worth every bite.
Chicken shish kebab- Chargrilled chicken cubes served with rice and fries the chicken was so tender, soft and juicy.
Pita white cheese- Baked Turkish Pita bread with very delicious cheese toppings on it.
Ended my food with a very famous Turkish dessert Bakhalva with ice cream.

SULTAN BABA ISKENDAR : Located near to very famous landmark BURJ AL ARAB on Jumeirah road , this restaurant serves traditional Turkish cuisines. The interiors were beautifully decorated with traditional Turkish artefacts which will take you to turkey.
What we tried :~
~ Turkish roti with ezme, haydari and gavurdagi salad.
Ezme : Roasted bell pepper and onion crushed with tomato, walnut, spring onion, parsley, pomegranate sauce and spices.
Haydari : Thick grained yoghurt mixed with ground white cheese, dried mint, garlic and salt.
Gavurdagi salad: Finley chopped tomato, onion, parsley and walnut topped with olive oil and pomegranate sauce
~ Lahmacun : Oven baked turkish pizza prepared by flavorful topping of minced meat, tomato, pepper, onion and turkish spices on very thin pita bread.
~ Iskender kebab : Thin slices of lamb and beef doner kebab meat spread on a grilled pita bread with a topping of tomato and hot butter sauce served along with yoghurt on the side. This was my favourite of the day. It was loaded with flavour , juicy and caramelised edges.
~ Adana Kebab : Seasoned ground spicy lamb and beef mixed with spices chargrilled on skewer, served with burgul , onion salad, grilled vegetables and potato wedges.
~ Chicken Shish kebab : Marinated cubes of chicken chargrilled on skewer and served white rice , potato wedges and grilled vegetables. I just loved the smoky flavour.
~ Baklava with ice cream : It was an ultimate sweet treat in which multilayered triangle shaped flaky pastry stuffed with vanilla ice cream.
Overall, we had a great dining experience. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They too have kids play area to keep the kids engaged till the food arrive on table. The best thing is they have a valet parking facility. All the dishes were fresh and generous in quantity.

After a tiring visit at ikea we were hungry. So we decided to use our entertainer coupon of buy 1 get 1 main course free at Sultan Baba Iskender at the food court.
We ordered two main courses.
1. Iskender Kabab
2. Lokma kebab
Both entries were very good. We liked Lokma Kabab more.
Considering a food court restaurant the prices are on a higher side.
Our experience at the counter while ordering and payment was not as pleasant as one would expect.
Overall food taste and quality was very good.
This restaurant serves One of the yummiest Turkish food in town .
We were amazed with its flavour kababs were delicious.
We used entertainer and was great for 3 adults .
We were in this Turkish restaurant, there were variety of beside speciality of Turkish Grill.

NEXT AT SULTAN BABA ISKANDER....
After a hearty Turkish meal, we were served the Turkish Tea. Every sip was refreshing. This black tea was made of Turkish tea leaves seeped to perfection.
Then we were served HAVUC BAKLAWA with Ice Cream. This was Baklawa pastry layers shaped in triangle, stuffed with chopped pistachios and layers of chilled icecream. And the whole slice was dipped into sugar syrup. What a mesmerising dessert it was!!
The taste was quite similar to the Baklawa I used to eat in Istanbul near the Grand Bazaar. I missed that Turkish Baklawa so much. It's been quite long that I have visited Istanbul. This delightful baklava made me remember those days.
It had a crispy Baklawa pastry layer and as you slide the spoon down, soft ice cream and crunchy pistachios are seen. Ohhh What a Beauty!!
I also tried the Traditional Turkish Ayran. This is the sour yoghurt drink which is salty and served chilled. The lemonade served to us was also quite refreshing.
Special mention of Mr. Zahid, a wonderful person from Pakistan, who served us so well. He was really friendly with the kids too. Thank you so much for making our dine in experience an excellent one....
Overall, it was a perfect evening with the Turkish cuisine and a great family time at BABA ISKENDER TURKISH RESTAURANT.

Adana kebab was so pure with awesome Bulgur Pilaf, perfectly spiced and flavoured.
Fresh bread and condiments are a good appetiser, love the rough look of the doner. Tried chicken doner and it again just so perfect that I am out of words. Must visit. Will try more stuff next time. There is one thing that they should improve on is water. The mineral water brand was not good and it’s better if they keep 1-2 options.

Mouth watering food, I recommend their crispy lamb pizza, charcoal grilled chicken and lamb dishes the best of what we had. The Salad we had was crispy and fresh with Arabic Humous and bread and with assorted condiments and to finish with we had their amazing Arabic Desert Kunafa with Vanilla ice cream which is also a must try!

Visited there with my friends on 3rd March located in Festival City Mall Branch based on its reviews and recommendations from one of my friend The restaurant turns out better than my expectations. We came across very courteous staff that served us. They were prompt in taking our orders and very particular in our preferences with our food. They made sure, we were enjoying our meal all the time. As we enter, we been greeted and welcomed by profeffional service oriented staff with utmost hospitality yet warm and friendly manner.Comfortable seating arrangements and even grups can enjoy the joing table facity availble.
Easy to order and attractively prepared colourful Menu provides clear information on what you order with the prices mentioned.
Hotel ambience and atmosphere is welcoming and very clean and comfortable.
You can have an Al Fresco experince in door alone.
Extremely service oriented warm and kind staffs waiting to serve you with best hospitality you can receive.This team including restaurant in charge , Pramod and Kerr Service was excellent!Assistant Manager his team focus on customer needs and anticipate their wants and serve their customers with best service they can offer.
Mr.chamara was the master baker behind all the breads and pitas.
Their Charcoal fired food was amazing.
Drinking water,Turkish Bread,Salad was our starting appetizer and it was full and a large in portion.
Wide variety of natural freshjices were available and we ordered Banana,Mango and Orange Juice.
Grilled /Kebab Chicken,Turkish Pizza with minced Lamb, was our main course and its too was in a large portion.They are so generous anytime you can have extra salads, breads,garlic,mayonese or any other add ons with your meal.
The food was so delicious and naturally prepared on Charcoal fire. You can taste the real taste of Turkish cuisines.All food items in this best restaurant were fresh clean and natural taste.
Turkish Ice Cream with Chocolate,Vanila and Pistachio was our dessert.
Apart from that we had the chance to experince another Turkish Delicacy called Kunefe.It is served with sugar syrup toppings.
The food and beverage of this Sultan Baba iskander was amazing and top notch.Hats off for all service staff lead by Restaurant in charge .He really has an attitude of a Star Class Service professional.
