Pure authentic Pakistani Restaurant with an amazing taste at a very affordable price.
Secondly this restaurant doesn’t need any introduction because it’s the most old and famous Pakistani Restaurant.
I have been visiting this restaurant with my friends and colleagues since 2012 and will definitely visit further.
Traditional, hearty food served with fresh flatbread, raita (yoghurt based condiment) & salad, to start you off on the mains. For our choice it was the butter chicken, lamb chops and mutton peshawari served alongside freshly baked tandoor bread. The food never disappoints and the service is impeccable!
Ravi by oneself is a institution which basis itself on savoury substantial meals ranging from the live station grill items to the flavorous curries, are just a few that would make one a follower of its long rooted commitment to Dubai’s multi culture.
The restaurants closed quarters and dainty interior offer up a feeling of being a guest in a family house, the food is equivalent of that hospitality of a traditional home cooked family meal, the detail that’s put into the process of preparation has stood the years of being committed to serving fresh local produce to its customers and being consistent over the years to this day. It’s no surprise Ravi is sought after by families, locals, tourists and expats alike and it is easy to see why.
Ravi Restuarant needs no introduction..
It is one of the oldest pakistani food spots in Dubai & is much enjoyed by all due to it being pocket friendly & serving food that is authentic & full of flavours.
.
We dined at RAVI today afternoon for lunch & ordered their Mix Grill, Peshawari Mutton Karhai, Chicken Jalfrezi, Butter Chicken, Vegetable Biryani, Chicken Handi & ended our meals with Kheer.
.
MIX GRILL: Consisted of Tikka, Seekh Kababs, Lamb Chops, & Chicken Boti.
The Chicken Boti was spicy but so good. Also the lamb chops were nice.
.
PESHAWARI MUTTON KARHAI: Order this without any second thoughts..just excellent!
.
Butter Chicken & Jalfrezi were decent & the Chicken Handi was pretty enjoyable with the Naans.
.
The Vegetable Biryani tasted more of a Fried Rice but was good in taste.
.
Ended with Kheer which was balanced in sweetness & good. The Meethi Lassi was refreshing for a hot afternoon..
.
Overall the food is excellent & enjoyable.
We have been visiting the spot since ages & will definitely keep visiting to satisfy the Desi hunger pangs of our Homeland 🇵🇰...
Tandoori chicken is best one. Butter naan bread with butter chicken also one of the favorite. The place it self is not a fancy but service, quality and portions of food is very satisfying.
I along with my friend tried their mix vegetables and roti. We also tried halwa puri in breakfast with my family. Will visit again in sha Allah .👍👍
While all their food is very good, it's their Mutton Peshawari and their Kabuli Pulao that stand out. Have eaten here for years and have not had a single bad experience. That kind of consistency is rare.
Although Limited vegetarian options but great taste and good staff.
Ravis restaurant is always crowded due to their consistent quality and taste. Very economical rates and reasonably good portions served.
In grill we tried the Chicken Kebab and Reshmi Kebab. It was nice soft and well done. Served with the traditional chutney made from thick Curds.
In main course their best dish is Chicken Kadai, Chicken kheema and Mutton Handi along with crispy hot Rotis. Though a bit oily but i guess that's what it makes it tasty.
The sweet dish kheer could be better and improved.
Overall a good experience to have in the open area outside the restaurant when the climate permits.
As always such delicious food. Nihari, Peshawari and kebabs and chops are all awesome. An even after you have eaten a months full, it hardly leaves a mark on our purse. Great place.
Awesome food, everything was delicious
This is the world famous Mutton Peshawari dish from Ravi's and i was fortunate enough to have had this since i was a kid! Alhamdulilah. 😍
We lived in Satwa and this was our usual family dinner spot on weekends!!! Thank you for all the delicious food and amazing service always!!!

We ordered their Chicken biryani
The prices of this spot is really affordable and the taste isn't very bad so, in my opinion, its worth trying this place out
The Portion of the biryani was really good.
RAVI Restaurant is an Institution in Dubai and has been there forever.
We called for the Mutton Peshawari and Nihari with the Magnanimous Rotis.
The dishes was absolutely flavourful.
Chicken Biryani followed and was decent as well. Maybe lacked a little masala.
Service was fast. Prices were reasonable.
Bon Appetit :)
This is good value for money if you want to try authentic Pakistani cuisine. The daal and veg dish ( matar aloo) are yummy. Biryani is average. Chicken tikka is tasty. Our guests from Europe love it and visit it every year.
Food taste good and authentic
We knew this place was very hyped so on one of the instances we were in Dubai, we hunted this place down for dinner on the way back to Abu Dhabi. Bihari kabab, dal, mutton karahi were tasty. Didn’t like the nihari much. Overall, we found the food good but not as great as the hype.
Great Food with no frills, just got annoyed with the flies inside the restaurant but apart from that such a hearty meal and costed approx 50 for 2. We had the chicken seekh kebab, chicken peshawari karahi, butter Naan and the tandoori roti. The salad and raita were complimentary. The butter Naan is different at a Pakistani restaurant, very fluffy and super heavy that I couldn't even finish the one I ordered. The chicken karahi was perfect, wish they had halwa puri available around the clock.
Loved the haleem and chicken tikka. The mutton peshawari was all bones and i found it a bit off. The tandoori roti was very good too. Food worth the price.
One of the most hyped Pakistani restaurants in Dubai is definitely Ravi restaurant and I believe it doesn’t require any introduction as we too were too fancied by the name of this restaurant that after hearing a lot about it we decided to make it to them and try out some of their famous dishes. We reached there at a little off time. As it was the time between lunch and dinner so they were not actually functional at that time so we couldn’t get the dishes that we wanted to order. But we got to try our hands on some of their specialities which are in regular run. We ordered their chicken biryani, fresh salad, raita, chicken Haleem and tandoori rotis. Full marks for softest rotis. Their Haleem was too good to resist and tasteful. The chicken biryani was good in taste too. The best part of them is that they an extensive menu with affordable and reasonable rates of everything. Not too pricey to ask for your limbs. Food was great and fresh. Wish to try out their other food items too.
Surprisingly good food and vegetarian options for a non assuming looking place ! Surprisingly good food and vegetarian options for a non assuming looking place !

Went for dinner at Ravi in Satwa. The overall taste was good and we enjoyed the curries.
Chicken Biryani was a huge disappointment for us. It felt more like we were eating Mandi rather than Pakistani style biryani.
Apart from that we enjoyed our meals.
Ravi, one of the oldest and best restaurant in Satwa, Dubai. Good quality and taste, they have more branches across dubai but i still prefer the one in Satwa. They have 3 dining areas, 1 for general public (mostly bachelors), 1 for families and 1 is outside in the open, you will find many foreigners siting on the outside and enjoying their food. Most of their items are pretty affordable.
We come here often to this pakistani restaurant. The food is excellent. Once you come here & look around, you can find people from different parts of the world seated around you. Such is the flavour of the food; enjoyable for all.
The chicken kabab is delectable - my favourite. The simple daal makhani is flavorsome. The butter naan is appetizing. The parathas are average.
There are lots of non-vegetarian dishes including lamb-bone soup, lamb brain etc and all are finger-licking good. Their specialty is meat.
The staff is quick enough.
Its not spacious & sometimes, we have to wait to be seated and it is cramped & crowded, with not too much space for the waiters. We do get served soon inspite of the crowd. The place is not so presentable & first-timers will have double minds on entering concerning the neatness & presentability of the place. No parking available is a serious issue for people not at walking distance. The washroom is cramped. The food is very oily.
Prices are reasonable.
I would go there again for the food & again for the delectable food.
It is crowded & busy for a reason.
Must visit this place for people visiting dubai , we go few times a year when weather is cooler, prefer the outdoor seating though
this place was really great and i kept coming back. i love the buttered chicken, chicken kadai, mutton kadai, peshwari mutton and chicken, i like the rotti its always hot and never gets stiff. good food at an affordable price. good location as well.just near the coop.
This branch of ravi is definitely the best in Dubai. Their food is outstanding and I often visit this place for some yummy pakistani food. On this day, i went there for early breakfast and it was delicious.
Ravi is a little bit of an institution, so it is an absolute must try in Dubai. It's a hole-in-the-wall with simple decor, the Pakistani food is great value for money. Specifically, get the mutton or chicken handi and keema dishes together with the Ravi's special rice and mehti mutter malai. Those are must haves.
The Satwa branch is better than the others. Not sure why, but it just delivers those core dishes better than the other branches.
Other than Ravi's, I also recommend Karachi Darbar which has a few slightly better cooking. But both are great.
The ambience was just like another south asian eatery where ambience is secondary and taste is the top most priority.
Food was well cooked, fresh and steaming hot. The service was quite unprofessional but it’s worth the quality of food they offer.

Brilliant food and super tasty. Highly recommended for non veg spicy food lovers.
Staff is courteous as well, budget friendly too.
Must visit
Beware of the imitation place next door, which I haven't tried. The original Ravi's was very good. Full of locals, oppressively not, not especially clean or comfortable - but really authentic.
As we entered as tourists they made a real effort to seat us on a comfortable table and brought out a fan. The food was very good. And it's extremely cheap.
Food here is really delicious and fresh compare to all other Ravi's. Been to this place so many times already, no regret, no bad experience ever.
Prices are so nominal.
Sitting place is quite big
Staff is really nice and humble
Most of the times you will notice other nationalities and not only desi's
Its a must visit place if you really wanna enjoy delicious Pakistani Food.
Mutton Peshawri
Keema
Mutton/Chicken Biyani
Channa dal
Tikka
Are best in all ....
Don't expect this place to be fancy. But expect the food to be tasty and cooked with love! Every dish is made to perfection, every bite makes you content. This is their speciality, and shall always be.
The staff is very humble and quick.
Been there. Done that. Be prepared for lots of oil. But also memorable flavors. Its a must visit at least once. The morning parathas in qeema aaloo gobhi and mooli are very traditional and very very filling. The eggs and tomato and the nihari are also pretty great.
This is a must visit place with all non vegetarian guests visiting Dubai.
We like their handi meat, achari chicken, biryani and tikka. Place is always buzzing with good food and hungry souls. Takes time to get tables at the place. But, definitely worth the efforts!!
The food tastes normal but there's something about it that makes you wanna finish the plate clean, hence the 4 stars. We had chicken peshawari and chicken biryani. Needs improvement on the food presentation considering the cafeteria is already well-known. I must say that the place is over-hyped; the food is good but the restaurant needs to live up to its reputation.
Amazing and delicious food, very affordable prices for every one. The environment and place good for families.
The best thing that I like are butter chicken and chicken biryanis
Came here on a busy Wednesday afternoon for a late lunch and we were treated to a delicious sweet Punjabi lassi, along with Palak Paneer, Veg Kofta, Chicken Seekh curry, and Chicken Tikka Biryani. The Air conditioner was doing quite the trick on this hot Dubai day (as are all the days here it seems), and the lassis helped put out the fires in our mouths! Would have loved it if they had garlic naan and other lassi flavors, but the food, experience and service was nothing short of great! A staple of Dubai for decades and I can see why! Would definitely return here when I’m in town again :)
One of the best restaurants if u crave for Indian food at Dubai .Also one of the decent Indian restaurants to which i came across in Dubai. The quality of food ,the ambience, the hygiene everything was 5/5.Also the staff was cooperative and caring.
This is an iconic eatery. Been around forever, and very popular in Dubai.
Ambience- casual dining. We were seated outside. Decor.....we had a table chair plates and basic clean cutlery.
Food. This is the reason this place has been there forever. We ordered mutton and chicken biryani (2 each), mixed grill, dal, chicken peshawari and achari and fresh tandoor roti, hot from the tandoor.
This restaurant makes up with sheer taste and great quality food, what is doesn't have in decor. Its A1. Yum. Special call out to the mutton sheekh and boti (part of the mixed grill) chicken Peshawari and full Mark's to the chicken achari. It was absolutely delicious.
We followed it with a round of karak chai. Simply superb.
Nawaz our server was polite, friendly and always there when we needed anything.
If you are in Dubai and haven't Graced this establishment, you are missing something.
Caution- in summer it can get warm outside.
10 pax- 187 aed.
Amazing place with the best curries ever. Impeccable service from experienced staff. The chicken Achari handi is delicious. Great nan bread. The restaurant is very “basic” but it is a change from the shiny downtown area. Best to sit outside.
Favourite Pakistani Resturant for sure! So hard to find good Pakistani restaurants in Dubai and Ravi is definitely at the top of my list. We go for breakfast every Sunday. They have the yummiest and most fulfilling Parathas and their daal is everything!! Also the keema is a must try!
3.5 rounded up to a 4.
Ordered the Mutton kadai, chicken briyani and a naan for 2 people. Food was enjoyable and the Sunday mid day laid back vibe was very chil.
As a side note, go elsewhere if you need tea and coffee.
I was first introduced to this restaurant in 2008 and it was brimming with tourists. If you are going here for dinner in the cold season, try to come early otherwise you should be willing to wait.
I recommend trying the butter chicken and masala beef with butter nan. The bread balances the spiciness of the food.
If you are not keen on spicy food try their grilled food.
You have limited choices ln drinks- sodas or water.
Now, if you are thinking of breakfast they do serve a paratta with wide range of options.
Must try. Affordable and scrumptious.
Delicious food proper curries and naans! Quick service and great value for money for Dubai considering cost of going out here. Mutton achai or jalfrezi are super!
One of the best places for yummy and authentic Pakistani food at reasonable prices. Love their Peshawari Chicken and Mutton. Food was really mouth watering with some good service. Would love to rate everything 5/5.
Its my first time to try Pakistani cuisine and my friend recommended this place not only serving authentic Pakistani food but also very affordable! Service was fast and serving is quite enough for 2. A must try when in Dubai
I've been going to Ravi's now for 10 years and it is still my favorite place to eat in Dubai. Amazing food, fantastic and friendly service, all at unbeatable prices.
The good old Ravi restaurant. Forget about everything but just go for food. We eat often here. Everything is good but my least favorite was vegetable Korma.. Maybe avoid ordering that. Service is not that great and they can delay your a bit but the good food makes up for everything else. A must try.
My friends and I stayed in Abu Dhabi for the weekend but did not stay long the day after as we needed to head back mid day to Dubai. Hungry as we were, we were (again) contemplating on what to eat. We have always been thinking of trying out far east asian food.
All of us agreed, we headed to Ravi Palace Restaurant in Al Satwa, Dubai.
The restaurant is very basic and straight forward, nothing fancy, which gives the strongest character and authenticity of the place. The focus of the restaurant is its food!
We started off with fresh plain nan bread and butter nan bread. Served nice and warm in a basket. Perfect match with lentil dal.
Chicken handi is a favorite. Its spiciness gives so much flavor to the dish and is very nice to match with the vegetable fried rice. The rice was nicely charred and stir fried, it as if was cooked in a wok or something. Sooooo nice!
Butter chicken was a default, it has to be on the table every time we dine in there.
Chicken tikka completes the meal. You may request for a boneless chicken tikka and it will be served fresh and hot on your table.
It was a hearty late lunch but it was surely the best choice we’ve had for a meal today!
The iconic Ravi, leaves you short of words after you have had a meal here. You’re a happy heart satisfied with the most tempting food!
Our menu is pretty fixed here, yesterday we had keema fry instead of a chicken gravy.
The mutton peshawari is a must have and so are the seekh Kabab. You cannot miss it!
A must visit place
Ordered from Ravi
The chicken tikka was delicious and the palak paneer was awesome. This restaurant is economic and pocket friendly with great tastes
I went with my friend and we r looking for to have dasa and they said that , parkistan restaurants that’s why it’s not possible to have it , anyway we order naan bread , and we have to wait like half and hour
Ate here last night, lived up to my expectations. Excellent food , plenty of outside seating, quick service and low cost. Meal was over very quickly. Butter nan was a bit disappointing, everything else was excellent.
Soon as I arrived in Dubai some how this restaurant came on my radar - people were talking to me about it. Now I know why. Simple. So tasty and cheap. I wish I lived near to it. Very good. I like spicy food and this satisfied me.
Best Pakistani food in town!!! No need to say more :) Good food for a few dirhams, thats what we all like right?? Their Chicken korma, dahl makhni, chicken beryani and butter naan are to die for!!! Dont expect an amazing 5 star service, because this place is just one of those where you sit, eat and leave. Still deserves a 5 star in terms of food. Staff is very friendly though. They run around to make sure everyone gets everything on time, so be a pit patient. Im a regular here!
Been visiting Ravi Satwa since childhood.
A simple restaurant with good ambience and seating arrangements both indoor and outdoor.
Lot of tourists visiting this place too.
Ordered Chicken Tikka and Dal, Bihari kabab, Peshawari chicken and Maghaz on different visits.
Decent prices.
Parking could be a concern if visiting late or on weekends during the busy hours.
The Chicken Achaari and Chicken Tikka are really relishing and delicious. The service is really quick. They need to improve with the customer experience. It’s very tough to call the waiters here.
Very very good! Trt this pakistani restaurant and please take a Side your hygiene idea! TRy delicious foods! We tried veggy dishes and comp bread which cooked fresh! Dont hestiate to try spicy😀 PC: 2 offer just one! Portions are huge!
Ravi restaurant has been in city for long time and have tried butter chicken and roti from burjuman street which is yum.mutton peshwari and roti combination is too good.def try this.cost is also affordable
Came here with family and we had the mutton biryani and it was simply quite brilliant. It was the right amount of spice and we all loved it. Would definitely come again.
My all time favorite! Chana dal is a must have! So is the biryani rice & chicken handi. Service is so quick, regardless of how busy they are. Truly they feed u wit their heart. Great value for money!
Its one of the oldest restaurant in Dubai serving authentic Pakistani food. Tried chicken haleem with tandoori roti it's super delicious always maintain same taste and quality. Always recommend
Ambience : 2.0
Food : 4.0
Service : 3.5
Value for money : 4.0
We decided to pay a visit to this wonderful place after a long time and realise why it is still the favourite of foodies and still standing tall. Getting there and finding parking is definatly a task but the food is worth the trouble.
Have tried so many dishes here and never disappointed, it would be unfair to write about a couple of them here, you could blindly select any dish and it is unlikely you would leave disappointed.
I ordered mutton kadai which amazing and mutton beryani. The food is full of flavour and rich and oily. The staff is very friendly and the price is very affordable.
Have dined in at this restaurant quite a few times ... the ambiance is ok but since its an old restaurant the food is amazing ... because of the location you might find it crowded and a long que of people to be seated ...
Food is good ,good quantity ,Fresh ...love it.can go again and again.Service is within few min.outside sitting area is my preference...al in dubai should try it once..it is not to be missed place..
Ooooooh ya! If you're a resident of the UAE or a visiting tourist, make sure you put this place on your list! Just don't be surprised to find yourself amidst a horde of visitors waiting to be seated on its sidewalk premises, as Ravi Restaurant has established itself as a local landmark thanks to its unquestionably authentic menu. If you're looking for a cultural trip, this is it!
Ravi’s is more of an life experience than a Dubai cuisine outing. It is ‘cheap and cheerful’, full of authentic Indian street side dining.
We were staying in a 5 star hotel, with fabulous restaurants, but ventured out to eat at Ravi’s for the differing type of culture and food that they offer.
They have an extensive menu, (even for a vegetarian like myself) and the food is well cooked and simple. Served on melamine plates and bowls, the meal was delightful because it was an escape from the opulence that can be Dubai.
The pricing is incredibly low. My meal was less than £10 and very filling. There is the Ravi’s Palace next door which is slightly more upmarket, but for the experience try the basic offering here.
Ravi’s facilities are simple. There are tables to eat at inside, however most customers choose to eat at the roadside tables, listening to the noise of such a busy vibrant city. The washrooms are more third world and very basic, (go next door to Ravi’s Palace, if in need).
Their customers are a varied mix of local and visitors. The waiters are friendly, but watch out for the child peppers that frequent many of their dishes.
I repeatedly ordered mixed grill. Also, don’t miss to take A cup of fresh milk tea with Kheer. Excellent service and all staffs are friendly
This is one of my favorite restaurant for Pakistani food. For breakfast their Keema and Aloo paranthas are excellent and very reasonably priced. My other favorite dishes are chicken tikka,Peshwari mutton and Chicken Kadhai ,Haleem and Dal,Their tandoori rotis are excellent and crisp.Always love to go there
Ravi is not a 5-star restaurant in a white table, maitre-de’ greets you at the oak entrance sort of way. In fact, you’ll likely dine outside at the metal table, next to traffic-congested street. But this doesn’t detract from the great Pakistani dishes they serve at very reasonable - under 25 AED for majority of dishes - prices (hence the 5 star rating). On our last visit we tried their Mutton Sikhs and Mutton Handi (both excellent), Butter Chicken (ok, but could have been a bit more flavorful), and Palak Paneer (very good). They serve only plain roti, but fresh from the owen, finger licking! If you’re on a hunt for a cheap but wholesome Pakistani meal, it’s a sure bet.
