Have you come across a situation, where you enter a restaurant, and you are left completely spellbound? An eatery whose magnificent atmosphere is so enchanting, that not only their lovely cuisine, but also a piece of their lavish ambiance makes your evening magical? All thanks to a tasting session invitation I received from Bisma, from Rainbow Gulf Solutions, I got the chance to experience Times of Arabia. Located in the very beautiful, and recently launched, Al Seef, Times of Arabia offers some delightful Lebanese cuisine, as well as, features a very fascinating ambiance.
The moment you enter the eatery, you have the option of taking the lift, or the stairs, to arrive at their seating area. The elegant flooring, the gorgeous ceiling, the ravishing walls and the opulent ornamentation were so charming, they literally made my jaw drop. The restaurant is well - lit, and also quite spacious. What's even more interesting? They have outside seating too! I absolutely loved their ambiance. Their servers too were very courteous, polite, and always running on their feet to serve us.
Coming to the food, we ordered the Hummus Shawarma, Meat Arayes Kafta, Grilled Fillet Hammour and Baklava. We were also served a platter of pickles, and a basket of breads.
Hummus Shawarma - hummus and shawarma are something I enjoy wholeheartedly, so a combination of the two is undoubtedly going to be amazing. The inviting looks of this mouth - watering dish, and its aroma, were pretty much captivating. Showcasing a smooth texture and just the right consistency, the creamy and scrumptious hummus won our hearts. It was cooked to perfection with all the essential condiments, was subtly tangy and full of flavours. Moreover, it was topped with sufficient amount of succulent chicken shawarma slices, which complemented the dish till the last spoon. Lastly, it was topped with pine nuts to supply our palate with a crunchy kick. We paired this with the fresh, warm and soft breads served.
Meat Arayes Kafta - arayes and I are childhood friends, as this dish is something I have been devouring since I was a little girl. Served in generous quantity, this dish was quite mouth - watering. Soft and delicious minced lamb, was tossed in appropriate and necessary spices, and stuffed in a thin, crispy bread, was made just-so-perfectly. This dish was mildly spicy, flavourful and truly appetizing. Served with thick - cut, non - oily french fries and salad, we absolutely relished this yummy dish.
Grilled Fillet Hammour - the grilled fish was surely delectable, and is definitely a must have. The fresh fish was tender on the inside, the outer coating was slightly on the crispy side. The equally spread marination was tasty, as it was made with all the satisfactory and required ingredients, and was flavoursome and mildly zesty. These were also served with some thick - cut, non - oily french fries and salad. All in all, an enjoyable dish.
Baklava (we asked them to serve a sample size) - these are my favourite sweets. The baklava were fresh, toothsome and pleasing. They were acceptably soft, full of flavours, fairly sweet and sumptuous. Stuffed with reasonable amount of crunchy, flavourful nuts, it's certainly the best way with which you can end your meal.
Thank you for hosting us Times of Arabia and team. I definitely look forward to come back soon.
