Ordered Paneer Tikka and Chole Bhature and both were yummy.. Home Delivery Service was also quick..Paneer was crispy and soft and well coooked.. Quantity was also good and value for money..
Nice place to visit in JLT if you want a quick and affordable meal in JLT.
Their buffet is priced at 20 which is quite reasonable but the variety is obviously quite little considering the price.
I ordered the Kulcha Channa which took a really long time to arrive (others in the group were about to almost finish their desserts when my lunch arrived).
However, you could say that the food was freshly prepared as it was extremely hot.
The only 2 things they should improve on is reduce the oil in their Kulchas and change their chairs as they feel very hollow.
Overall their food is quite decent and ambeince is not bad as well.
This is one good place for Punjabi food. Good value for money considering the location of the restaurant. I highly recommend the "Saag Gosht Lasooni". They also offer lunch buffet on weekdays which is pretty light on the wallet. The only drawback was some renovation work in the background which caused a lot of noise, hence -1.
This place has good punjabi food, good portion sizes and food is decently priced .However, would nt recommend soups at this place...loved their chicken preparation...authentic punjabi food in the heart of jlt..In cooler weather outdoor seating is recommended
It’s a pocket friendly restaurant. Staff is friendly and they serve you in a fair amount of time. This is definitely a great place to try if you want to eat some north indian food.
I don't fret anymore for my party caterings. Punjabi Khu provides the most fresh and amazing array of dishes to choose from if you are having a party at home. When i visit their restaurant in JLT I always try the Punjabi Fish fillet and chicken lababdar. Awesum team, congrats on their efforts.
The chicken egg biryani is very nice...I order it one a week...Really like the part where they home deliver it in the clay pot with the roti covering it...
The Rice and chicken are well Cooked, with the right amount of spices.
The quantity is sufficient for two but I try to finish it off in one go...
The food is good.Delivered on time.
I always love to have desi food. This restaurant is good place for desi food lovers.
Definitely I will try again with different item.
Pocket friendly.
I work very close to this restaurant in JLT and visit this frequently for lunch. Generally i review a eatery under 4 categories. Food Quality, Ambiance, Service and Pricing. Here we go..
Food Quality - Since i visit this place for Lunch i usually go for the buffet which is limited in its spread but good enough for person at work. In terms of taste the food is not exactly what Punjabi Food would taste like but its all right. Although on occasions i have found they tend to serve you food that's been kept for too long. eg. Rice that i once tried at the buffet actually had a peculiar smell as if it was recooked from the previous day. The dessert (Gajar Halwa) also tasted as if it was left in the fridge for a day and not so fresh. Generally i will suggest they should bring about a variety in their lunch buffet.
Ambiance - Ambiance is ok reminding us of a village in Punjab but there is room for improvement. The toilet always smells nasty and the water is a trickle. I was told the building management could not solve the water issue but guys at least keep the toilets clean and fresh smelling.
Service - Service is very good and the staff is very attentive. Since I'm a regular the service staff knows my preference and service is fast.
Pricing - Good and competitive . The buffet is priced at AED 20 fro vegetarian & AED 22 for Non.veg.
Dishes ordered :
Main course: chicken handi, served with couple of breads with tikkas and Rajma accompanied by fresh long grain rice.
Cuisine : Punjabi. ( Indian )
Advantages: good for desi menu options as well as, hygienic and fresh ingredients mixture.
Disadvantages: short menu. Could be better with service.
Ambience: better as per location situated
Arrangements: comfortable, simple + sweet!
Pricing: worth with main course as per quantity and quality served.
Quality/ taste: good enough! Could be much better thou..( in tikkas as starters )
Quantity/ presentation: authentic. Could be more like traditional wise.
Speciality: chicken handi, rajma!
Over all rating: silver medal.
Suggestions: music, some entertaining and concept of Punjabi signatory during dine in.
A regular place for me because it is opened till 3 A.M. (HUGE THUMBS UP), zeera rice + dal tadka @ 3 = heaven. If you want to eat something which is balanced in taste and price, then look no further. Depending on your request, the food can be homely or very spicy, so a lot of flexibility is there to suite your taste buds or mood. There is room of improvements in terms of seating and service speed, but no one is perfect.
We have ordered from here on multiple occasions. Food in general is okay, being from North of Indian our usual expectation is generally high from such "Punjabi" sounding joints. We ordered -
- Reshmi Seekh
- Aloo Nazakat
- Paneer Tikka
- Malai Tikka
- Dal Makhni
- Butter Chicken
While the starters were just about okay, (all arrived hot and fresh) the Dal stood out from the entire meal, rich in flavour. The butter chicken was a disappointment as it was on the sweet side and too oily for our liking.
Been there last night to celebrate a birthday party. Thought the place is situated in between lot of competitions, this restaurant stands apart when it comes to its starters. Staring from chicken to fish to mutton, everything went over its expectations.. Good service though!! Kudos.. only area they have to improve is their interior and furnitures as they were uncomfortable.. shal come back.. Ciao..

Well hello there Panjabi food! This is a very good place to try if you haven't eaten North Indian food before. We ordered it delivery and it came in a reasonable time.
My friend ordered the butter chicken, I tried the sauce and it was good. The veggie biryani is also good and simple I would say. The Gobhi Manchurian is a must try. Its basically fried cauliflower with a delicious marination. The fish Tika masala is also yummy and the sauce with it is good with the biyani. The onion kulcha was good and the garlic naan as well bit I have it say Naans are not their forte.
I would eat there again. Recommended for vegans and vegetarians
From Sara, with Love ❤️
I had a craving this afternoon for a mutton Biryani. Amongst the list of Indian Restaurants in the Neighborhood (JLT) I selected Punjabi Khu.
The order taker was extremely helpful where he stated to me the difference between the Mutton Rogan Josh and the Mutton Hundi.
I placed the order (1 Mutton Biryani and one Mutton Rogan Josh) and the order taker mentioned clearly that it will take 45 to 55 min to be delivered.
43 min later I got the order:
Bad point the driver was not Ina suitable uniform wearing a jeans and a random shirt, however was very kind and humble.
The packaging was decent, clean and well wrapped except for the cutleries that were loose in the paper bag.
The surprise was the packaging of the Biryani where it got delivers in a clay Pot with the Bread cover and I can say it was a big portion enough for 2 to 3 people. The Rice is well cooked not sticky nor loose just at the exact point to be enjoyed.
The Mutton Rogan Josh Gravy was succulent, tasty and fulfilling however the portion size is a bit smaller then expected talking about almost 300Gr including the meat itself.
The only inconvenient was the amount of bones left in both The Gravy and the Biryani, nevertheless the bones add a tangy flavor to the whole which I personally like as a flavor.
I would definitely order again and I suggest you do the same since it really with it, However I would appreciate if the chef removes the bones, I mean nobody would like to choke over one at the end of the day.
Thank you
Its next door restaurant for us and any last time decision is being placed to them.. Good punjabi quality food and delivery is also fast.. Different options available for breakfast, lunch combo, evening snacks and dinner..
I was really impressed with the Veggie Biriyani in the clay pot!! Initially, I was disappointed by the Spinach soup, it was just watery looking spinaich with nothing inside. After eating it, really LOVED the flavors and simplicity of it!! Yum! The Makhmali Kofta was delish!! I loved that they gave me fresh onions with it!! I will def order again!!
Best chicken biryani...
the only place come into my mind with biryani is Punjabi Khoo..
good to go guys.. Well done
Wow! Just Wow!
Punjabi Khu is my favorite restaurant when it comes to Punjabi Food! Have been there quite a few times but never realized that I haven't given my review yet!
There is one dish that we always order no matter what, its the Makke ki Roti and Sarson Ka Saag. And it's just awesome, they have really maintained the quality I must say.
Apart from that we do order the biryani also quite regular along with Paneer Tikka, Tangri Kabab, Chicken Malai Tikka, Butter Chicken, Daal Makhni, Naan, etc. The list is quite long. Everything tastes great. One thing I should mention here is that their portion is quite huge as compared to other restaurants. 2-3 person can easily eat from one dish and it is a very good thing especially if you are visiting in groups.
Only reason I'm giving 4/5 is because of the ambiance. I feel they should make it more lively and more vibrant. It is very dull and not so good. But once the food is served you'll forget everything.
A must visit for all the Punjabi people out there.
My wife and I are fans of this restaurant for their proper renditions of spicy Indian fare. Their vegetarian and non-vegetarian preparations tend be be equally lavished with the trademark Indian extravagance of flavors that infuse the dishes that uniquely "Indian" heft of taste. Home delivery to JBR is reasonably quick with the food always arriving at least warm.
Tried the executive lunch buffet .
2 veggies, 1 non veg, raita, salad and sweet .All this for just Aed 22.
Food is great, service is good will certainly go for other items in the menu.
Biryani is a traditional dum biryani and comes with a great portion size enough for 2-3 people, and served in a clay pot. Not bad for 30-35aed!
Chicken labradar was a good accompaniment to the biryani.
Delivery was prompt and arrived within 30minutes.
Have been ordering food from Punjani Khu for a long time now. Great food! The Makhani Dal is their speciality! It has always been on the top most choices for me when it comes to delicious food!
Not a bad outlet in JLT. Their chicken biryani is delicious and easily serves two. Chicken lababdaar could've been better while their naans were average. Restaurant ambience is not the most cozy but checks out for an executive lunch.
For the love of food this place deserves a rating of more than 3.5, for sure! But sadly service industry needs more to survive than only good food, how about good service for starters??
So while we relished each and every dish that we ordered (there were quite a few) the service ..well the less we talk about it the better !
We were starving hence directly jumped to the main course :
Chicken Tikka Masala : I have never eaten a better one that this ! Must-try
Butter Chicken : there are better ones around, so you can give it a pass
Dal Tadka: finger-licking delicious
Paneer Lababdar : decent
Chicken Biryani : not bad
Suggest ordering-in rather than dine-in for this place as in that case you shall only remember the taste of great food rather than experiencing bad service
p.s. Dear Punjabi Khu management, would be great if you acknowledge not -so-great reviews too, shows how open you are to improvements :)
I have been to Punjabi khu few times. They lack consistency in taste and quality. We ordered paneer Manchurian and Gobi Manchurian but it turned out to be a plain paneer fry and Gobi fry with no salt, flavour in it. We asked to change it but the second time was more worse than the previous one with loads of oil in it. We complained to the manager, he promised to check and correct it. Hope they improve the food quality and taste. Their parathas (Paneer, Alu) taste good.
Finally I found a place in dubai which serves the most amazing chicken dum biriyani and that too in an earthern pot for home delivery. It was a real treat and I cannot wait to try some more of their mutton dishes very soon! Im super impressed..yumm :)
Ordered home delivery from this place, tangdi kebab, Mutton handi, tawa rotis, pudina paratha and ras malai. While placing the order i was told that it will take 45 - 55 mins, however the order was delivered within 45 mins. Tangdi kebab was average, however mutton handi was really nice. The gravy had nice texture and flavor; mutton was nicely cooked and soft. It was not chewy at all. The rotis and parathas were also good. Ras malai was Awesome, soft and creamy, sweetness was also perfect. All these costed us only 89 dhs. Very reasonably priced with good food.
Hearty food and decent service made for an overall good experience here. We left feeling very full. Haven't tried their delivery yet but we'll definitely be ordering some soon.
Excellent food. Authentic flavors. Friendly and alert staff. Timely service. Have eaten multiple times here and the service has been consistent. A must try place.
Just can't find any faults here...
Awesome food, service that makes you feel welcome and decently priced.
Have eaten here as well as have called in for delivery, both the experiences were good.
Butter chicken and naan made to perfection, rajma chawal combo is spot on.
Craving homely not too commercial punjabi food then this is the place to go or order....
And one random evening we decided to order the gobhi manchurian, and to our surprise it turned out quite nice.
So am guessing the chef is pretty versatile.
The reason I don't have photos to complement the review, is because the aromas were so enticing, I couldn't waste time in clicking pictures, instead just started to hog, and this happened every time.
Go ahead order that naan right now!!
Nice food food. Though the veg menu was limited whatevr we have ordered was tasty. Service could be better with some more manpower to hadle customer requirements. The AC on one part was not fully functional but overall good experience. Also during good weather outside seating option will be nice.
Sarso ka saag could have been better.
This place is at same place where i use to work and hence i have gine here Multiple times. Many outing has been only for Kulhar wali Chai and Samosa.
The place is good with friendly staff. The food is tasty. It has a very economical buffet option on weekday.
My fav is the mini meal with Kulcha. Its crunchy with good amount if butter and nice tasting chhole.
Give the place a try!
I wanted to try this place for sometime and saw that they had sarson da saag and makki di roti. So, ordered online and delivery was a bit late, possibly due to Ramadan timings. But sarson da saag was not really upto the mark, as I had expected it to be. On the other hand, I had also ordered Makhmali kofta, which was just delish!
The quantity of the food was also quite a lot, and it is not very expensive either.
Ignoring the disappointment with the sarson da saag, I will be ordering more items from this joint, just because I loved the makhmali kofta.

+3.5
Had gone late night to this place, impressed that it was open till 3 am.
Ordered Masala Chaas, which was refreshing.
Went for Tawa Roti, warm and fresh.
Dhaba Dal, the name was tempting to me and when it was served and tasted it was delicious, perfect with the rotis.
Chicken Lababdar, a thick rich creamy and sweet gravy goes well with rotis served.
Loved the hospitality but they have to work on fast delivery as it is very irritating when you sit for a long time after order.
Ordered in from Punjabi khu recently during office team lunch. The butter chicken and mutton rogan ghost were both well made, it had long lasting flavor and served in good quantity. For the vegetarians we ordered paneer lababdar and dhaba dal which was good as well. The mutton biryani was average. Only complaint is I told them to send paper plates and cutlery which we didn't have in our office and despite confirming with me they didnt send it. Recommended.
In this Ramadan season we had lots of option for try new food and new restaurant coz their is lots of offer on foooddddd 😜😜😜 and ah this time i tried new one thats punjabi khu(JLT) was not expected so tasty food from them it was really tasty bites. we ordered 1 veg and 1 non veg combo in that we choosen main curry chicken lababdar and panner lababdar both curry was yummmmmmm 😍😍😍😍😍 and perfect with roti. combo doesnt had much option only curry roti and drink but it was worth for money. only disappointment was due to rush they dint delivered food on time i was informed delivered on 1.40 but they took 1 more hour to deliver 😞😞😞 thats the only negetive which i noticed rest all about food it was osum exp 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I love Punjabi food a lot . Since this outlet was nearby to my office sometimes I order food from them. mainly like their parathas . Gobi paratha and aloo parathas are my favorite . It's served along with raita .Tried their gobi Manchurian(dry) once, it was spicy & that crunchiness was missing . But it was good . Very good option for vegetarians . Never been to this place. Delivery will take almost 45 minutes to 1 hour. And i must say their lassi is the most delicious one which is served in mud pot . Chilled and awesome taste. Just loved it and all of my friends liked their lassi.
A decently good place for punjabi food. we ordered the paneer kadhai, black dal, masala papad, naan and chaas.. loved the paneer. we pacjed some for take away as well. our food came in pretty quickly. we chose to sit outdoors and it wasnt too bad, except that everyone walking by looked curiously at our food! the staff is courteous and thus the over all experience was good!
I have always home delivered from this restaurant but hands down they have Amazing Amazing food...whether it is starters or main course (though can comment on vegetarian only)
Delivery time is an issue but understandable keeping in mind the rush at the restaurant. The taste of the food compensates for all the delivery extra time they take.
Good food and decent service. A very convenient place for late night bites. The Daal and lassi are spectacular. The outdoor seating is an added bonus.
Came to know about this restaurant through a friend. Went there after a night of partying. The good thing is that they're open until 3am. The staff is super sweet even when it is that late and welcomes you with a big smile. When it comes to food, oh my god.. The best dal makahani ever.. I could just drink this daal. The chicken tikka masala was also yummy. And it is one of the few restaurants who serve hot chapatis. Also, very light on your pocket. And if the weather is good, you can sit outside and enjoy the waterbody next to the tables. All in all a great experience.
I recently explored this place and found it to be extremely good. The food was delicious and the Chole was amazing ! The Biryani was good too! Overall, a good place where one gets great Punjabi food!
I visited here twice... I loved the food and the service both.... the waiter was really kind to us... they are very good with Punjabi cuisine.. we had ordered Kadai paneer, Veg Jalfrezi and Diwani Handi... I loved all of it also we had Amritsari kulcha... they serve unlimited complimentary papad with chutney... with a option of fried o roasted.. in all a good place for casual dining...
My Aunt had brought me a parcel of Chole Bhatura from here. Normally from what I have experienced every time I ordered the Chole Bhatura I only ended up liking the Bhatura, the Chole is never up to the mark. But this is the first time I actually loved the Chole, it tasted really good. Only problem is it's unhealthy because you can see a good layer of oil in it but we all do have our cheat days and my policy is as long as it tastes good all is well. She also spoke highly of the stuffed tandoori mushrooms. Need to give this place a visit soon and will update my review.
Wow..... I love the food here, before I go planing to eat Rajma Chawal after I went there is Lunch Buffet is going on, touch wood I ate the best Kadai ever my life I took 4 portions of chicken with onion slices n dahi..... I cannot move from chicken. As they said on menu its a real " The Royal Taste of Punjab"
Such flavourful North indian food after a long time. Easy to locate, and plenty parking even on a Friday afternoon.
They have an indoor and outdoor seating.
Ordered pindi chole (to try the speciality of Punjab), chicken tikka masala and paneer biryani with butter naan. Chicken tikka was a clear winner, slight spicy (like I requested them to make it) and went very well with the fresh butter naan. Paneer biryani was presented in the typical biryani way in the mud pot, and was bursting with flavours.
Quantity was more than enough for 3. Definitely going back!

Brilliant! I just had the best Rajma Chaval since I have come to Dubai. And not just Rajma Chaval, Kadi Chaval, Murgh Shorba, Dal Tadka and Peas pulav.. all these are absolutely amaazziing!!! I loved it! I havent been to the restaurant. In fact i chose to order food at home. And i still recommend to try the food here. 5/5 only for the food.

Impressed! I ordered Butter Chicken, Chicken Biryani and Mutton Rogan Josh.. Just one word - Superb! Keep it up Team Punjabi Khu!
Wanted to have the staple Punjabi food....couldn't find a better place than this! Had paneer butter masala and samosa and naan! Definitely recommend it for anyone looking for authentic Punjabi food!
One of my frnd told me about this Punjabi Restaurant in JLT named Punjabi Khu. So just thought of trying. As soon as i entered the restaurant it gave me the perfect traditional feel of India. I Wanted to try something different this time and came to know from the restaurant manager that Sizzler is the newly added menu in their menu list. I opted for Chicken sizzler and it was just amazing. A perfect place to enjoy indian food with soothing music and amazing ambience
