Ambience 4/5 Service 4/5 Food 4/5 Their grilled hammor with spices is very delicious and you can feel the barbeque flavor. The dynamite shrimps were also good, but could be better if they put less mayonnaise. The Arabic bread was OK. The fresh juice of lemon ginger was fine but can taste better if they add little sugar in that. Overall a nice place for seafood lovers

This place is a must visit if a person love fish I have been here every time when ever come to Dubai Their Grilled Hamour is excellent it’s a 5/5 specially the Red tomato paste on top is like a finger licking Also their Mix Grill Platter is really nice the Ice on top is the Red and the White pickle they serve .. really suits well when u order Fries and u dip in the spicy tangy red sauce

This our second time eating here. My husband and I really like the Singary red snapper. Today he tried the fried sibas. We started with the appetizers that they provided...pickles,olives,bread,cucumbers,tomatoes and carrots. Then moved on to lentil soup for me and mushroom soup for him. We added yellow rice to compliment the fish. It was very tasty and satisfying. I even had fish left over for take away. We’ll be back.

I went there for many many times. I usually order fried lady fish fried sultan and calamari. Hummus and egg plant... i love eating at this restaurant as long as i ask the chef to prepare it the way i like it. As a standard, fried fish is dipped in a mixture of spices and flour before frying. Also, fish bigger than lady fish are fried after they cut slightly the skin then it is cooked in very hot oil. This leaves a burned taste of oil on a crunchy dried fish skin. Ask the waiter to prepare the fish with only flour salt and pepper, nothing more as you might not like their spices mixture at all. Also ask him bot to cut the skin. You can then enjoy the best taste. Calamari is perfect. The restaurant is average, particularly washrooms. Overall it is a good restaurant with an excellent food.

The only negativity about this place is that it is a little bit expensive, everything else is just perfect. The food was amazing, the staff are excellent and cooperative.

Test is good. But were waiting for 1.5 hour, so dish arrived cold. And expected a bit more shrimps for 78 AED. Visited this restaurant once in Abu Dhabi and really liked it, but can't recommend ordering from them in Dubai.

We went with friends last Friday on the sea. We decided to eat the fish we went to. The restaurant bu tafish was good. The restaurant is one of the oldest restaurants in the city.

It's our second visit to the restaurant BuTafish in Jumeirah, The overall looking of the restaurant is average in the first sight. Coming to the food ... salad was less then expected and not the right recipe and we returned it. we ordered shrimps and we got a small overpriced plate of baby shrimps which wasnt fresh at all. we also ordered salmon and it was overcooked and didnt have the right taste. Sea-bream fish was our main course and the main trouble. beside the awful taste of the mix inside it was served badly. Rice was cold and tasteless and the quanitity wasnt enough for one. W.C was the worst and couldnt even wash my hands because it was dirty. This place needs a lot of maintenance and to review all. Middle Eat

For a restaurant that is pretty much dedicated to seafood, I expected a lot better, but overall it wasn’t terrible. I tried the prawn, calamari, salmon, hammour. The prawn was overcooked and the calamari was over fried, therefore it had the texture of rubber. The salmon was a bit overcooked too but at least it was spiced very well and was overall enjoyable. The highlight was the hammour which was extremely tender and juicy, so if you come here I’d recommend that over anything. I did enjoy the vegetables and bread they brought to the table before food, super fresh and yummy

Went for the first time to Bu Tafish and was pleasantly surprised by the comfortable welcoming ambiance. The hummous w lamb and pine nuts was a tasty appetiser to start off with as the two of us waited for the spicy grilled humour and the prawn tajein. Great flavourful food, ample garlic chutney and warm bread. Perfect end to a peaceful Friday.

I like the food of this restaurant sooo much , but frankly they refuse my order three times by zomato reg min order !!!!!! They put 70 Aed min order ....then when they reject it for third time they inform zomato team that they want min order 200 Aed .....while 2 days ago I ordered from them and they send my order while it was less 200 Aed ....I ask the management of this specia sea food restaurant in Dubai to take care about the team who deal with people

Bu Tafish is a seafood restaurant with a heavy Arabian influence. It’s located in one of Dubai’s most prime locations, just beside the grand mosque on Jumeirah Road, next door to The One. The interior is a total contrast to other Arabian seafood restaurants and looks more like an American diner. That said, it's unmistakably a seafood restaurant with oceanic/nautical references everywhere. There’s a big ice bed at the entrance of the restaurant where an assortment of seafood is on display for you to choose from. The whole thing is really well done, far better than I expected.

I gave them 4 stars because when it comes to the seafood, only few restaurants know the secret. Food is not bad at all, good taste, but place should be redecorated. Nice staff are polite and responsive, location is great, easy parking.

I would love to rate them under 1 but there is not, it was the worst experience to eat a sea food , the soap was terrible taste and fish was nothing but lemon and tasteless the shrimps and all the sea food was not fresh at all, and it ends up with a colic ,definitely will never visit again

The food comes in small portions, smaller than usual with high prices compared to the portions and quality. We ordered 3 pieces of what is supposed to be large jumbo shrimps. The shrimps were small and of bad quality, this cost us aed75 for these 3 shrimps! The other dish Sayadeye was too salty, mainly rice and 3 tiny pieces of fish! The staff were talking in a loud voice, discussing personal issues and sometimes fighting.. if you want to go for a nice dining and have fun this is definitely not the place to go....

The restaurant has a good atmosphere and the food is very good, but if you have a voucher, you need to ask them what type of plates can be redeemed instead of facing a bad scenario like what happened today with me. Overall the food quality is not that good in comparison to the expensive price which will never make me recommend it to anyone.

I normally don't post reviews but I had to make an exception for this one as it was that bad. Waiters come out looking they know what they are doing and then screw up the order. Need to remind them several times about an item. Ordered Chicken livers as an appetizer and received chicken wings when we were about to leave. Appetizers are supposed to be served first. When showed them the mistake, no one was slightly apologetic. Food was below average but heavily over-priced. 5 shrimps and some frozen fries cost AED 70. Seriously ! I can understand when the restaurant is packed with customers, things tend to go wrong but only two tables were being served including us. Sub standard food Walking attitude in the shape of waiters. Heavily over priced. Verdict: Never Again !

But its overpriced (partly due to its prime real estate) and service is poor. There are several better options for Seafood in Dubai.

The seafood is just exquisite and no photo can do their food justice. This was our 3rd time at bu tafish. The ambience is very nice, the place is made to look like a ship with the staff also wearing sailor uniforms. This place is known for its sea food. The quality of the sea food was good but the taste wasn't exceptional. There were hardly and people today yet the service was slow. It's so Bly for the quality of the sea food one want to come here. Al branches of bu tafish have this strange unpleasant odour, I wish they did something about it

Nice ship like ambience. Even the staff wear sailor like Uniforms. Tried the Chicken Livers with Pomegranate Sauce for starters. Nice. For mains went in for Sea Bass Singary. The fish was nicely done. Not a seafood lover but would come back!

it was a very good experience, we tried the fried shrimps, fried and grilled fish all of them were really good. one point need to be enhance is the service speed as it was taking them long time to get us any order. but other than that the restaurant is recommended. Most importantly that for the 3rd time in row they said they dont have eny dicounts for emirates NBD card holder unlike what is mentioned here on Zomato that they will get 20% discount!!

My experience with Bu Tafish was really disappointing ! The decoration of the place seems nice however the sea storm videos they display on their screens were making me and my kids tense ! Why do they do that ?! They can only open something neutral or eye relaxing , the quality of food was fair and the serving time was less than good comparable of having my family and another customer only in the restaurant , I don't think I will repeat it or recommend it to anyone as it doesn't worth and also not a good value for money

One of, if not the, best arabic seafood restaurants in Dubai. Beats barracuda hands down. Singary and oil and lemon styles of all fish are both great. Tried sea bass, sea bream, prawns, lentil and seafood soups, all were very good. If only they could add hot fresh bread to go with one of the best hommous in Dubai, rather than packaged shawarma bread, then the place would be perfect.

Good food, poor service. This sums it up. The waiters are extremely rude and offensive when trying to be funny but the food is good. We ordered several dishes and all were tasty. The fish seemed fresh and overall we enjoyed the food. However more attention needs to be given to the service provided. I would recommend it in the hope that the service issue is sorted out.

Good enough! I had dinner for 2 at Bu Tafish and it was good. The main advantage was the satisfactory size of the appetizer dishes. Those oriental appetizers were great tasting and generous. The main dishes of shrimp and fish were also very good. The only problem with this restaurant is the staff, they are not helpful and the captain presses you to order more than you can eat. Service staff are not really good. OVERALL: I MAY go there again.

First impressions were good, the restaurant is immaculately clean but a bit weirdly decorated, part 50′s diner, part seafood themed. We were the first guests of the day and the waiter wasted no time showing us to our table and presenting us with a huge menu. I love seafood menu's (I kept mine), so it took me a while to decide what to order. The menu is comprehensive and offers something for everyone, if you don't like seafood there are grill options. With over 20 cold appetizers alone we were spoilt for choice but it was one of dishes from the hot appetizers that caught our eye. The chicken liver with molasses pomegranate, we teamed it up with the potato with coriander. The chicken liver was outstanding, if you enjoy that kind of thing then I can't recommend it enough. The appetizers were served with the traditional bowl of salad vegetables, bread and pickles. Bread from modern bakery served in plastic bags, they claim to keep it fresh? mmm, I am not so sure about that. For the main course I opted for the lemon and oil style of cooking and chose the sea bream, sadly Bu Tafish are still serving hamour on their menu. The fish was outstanding, I have to say and grilled to perfection, the accompanying lemon/oil and slightly spicy sauce with paper-thin potatoes were delicious. Faultless in my book.
