china sea restaurant is one of the best hotpot i ever experience..so many variety to choose which is the price is not higher. they also offer a bottomless ice tea.. i really love there barbcue..its tasty and the buffet is also tasty.. i love the way the staff how they accomodate the costumers with a smiling face and very smart..
It is a typical Chinese restuarant that you would find in China. Food was fabulous. Not a high end restuarant in terms of ambience. They had English speaking waiter this time. A must try for fabulous Authentic Chinese food. It’s been there for over 18 years that I have been in Dubai. Well established.

Went here recently with a group of friends. We do a sort of food experience every week, where we try out different restaurants and cuisines all over Dubai (and hopefully UAE)
The place finally has a staff member that can communicate with non-Chinese customers, which made it a lot easier for us to order food and get whatever answers we had to our questions.
The food is great, authentic and overall delicious. It is very reasonably priced whether you go alone, on a date or in a group of friends.
A must try are their variety of dim sums and dumplings, they serve it with this garlic vinegar sauce and it just elevates the flavors to a whole new world. Highly recommend their seafood options, be it fish, shrimp, crab, calamari etc. they are the most fresh over here. Very quick service and hot food served at your table.
Also if you have room for dessert, you should try their toffee coated bananas which is served hot, and order some ice cream to go with it. It was a fantastic combination. We did vanilla ice cream and butterscotch to go with the toffee bananas.
China Sea is an authentic Chinese restaurant (from Tsingtao in the Shandong Province) in Deira. Located in a two-story stand-alone building on Al Maktoum Street just past the Clock Tower (behind Emirates gas station and car wash), China Sea has been around for ages and is today nothing less than a Dubai landmark.
One of the best Chinese restaurant in Dubai offering authentic Chinese cuisine,the food is delicious ,I personally think it’s a little overpriced compared to other restaurants ,the staff can’t speak English very well and that’s the only problem,the restaurant feels cozy and rustic.
Oh man. I went here for a meetup curated by a friend almost 6 years ago, maybe more. I don't remember much of the food, except that is was amazing. There was an eggplant/brinjal dish which was one of the few vegetarian dishes that the host ordered. But I remember it was to die for. And the reason I remember is because I am not the biggest brinjal fan.

My review for China Sea – this is a good Chinese restaurant that offers great tasting seafood with a Chinese twist to them.
The steamed hammour was fresh tasting, and the meat was juicy. There was not really anything special about this dish, as it was just the plain fish on a plate.
The fried prawns were a bit oily. The batter on them was thin and the garlic sauce that came along with the dish was not bad at all.
Finally, the deep fried squid was not as good as I thought it would be. I was picturing something different, like a whole squid that is deep fried, but it was more like calamari.
This restaurant deserves a rating of 3.5/5.
I ordered the steamed hammour for 60DHS, fried prawns with garlic sauce for 75DHS, deep fried squid for 50DHS.
The pricing here is higher than the average Chinese place.
The service was slow, and the food took quite some time to arrive at the table. The staff members did not look approachable as they barely smiled.
The ambience of the restaurant had the Chinese look to it. The outside of the restaurant had that Chinatown appearance with the lanterns, the red colours, and the lions at the entrance. The interior decor was simple with Chinese lanterns all over.
A definite must go for anyone that is a purveyor of real Chinese cuisine. Don't expect lavish service or even fluent English but do expect expertly executed Chinese flavors. All of the classics are there and done nicely. You can't go wrong really.
Ordered steamed seafood dumplings, when dipped in their vinegar with minced garlic is crazy tasty combination. Seafood fried noodle is a surprisingly ordinary after the dumpling raised my expectations . But the sizzling chicken in black bean sauce is pure happiness in a plate, i like how the saltiness imparted from the black bean sauce. Then again there goes the vinegar and minced garlic dip to complement the chicken dish. I appreciate their use of ethnic ingredients which results to that i-cant-make-this-in-my-kitchen taste. I just hope that more people will discover this gem and help them keep the business. Sweet and sour hammour from this place by the way is a masterpiece. Love the chefs for sharing their dishes. Hope they come up with new dishes soon.
If they can upgrade the place and organize/tidy the restaurant a bit will make this restaurant a 5.0.

Have been here repeatedly with colleagues at lunch and with family for dinner. I've never been to China, but I have to assume this is as authentic as it gets: the staff barely speak English and the place is full of chinese. Try the sticky egg-plant and don't forget the deep fried bananas and ice cream for dessert.
We went China sea restaurant, we ordered their mixed fried rice sizzling chicken, and sweet and sour chicken along with sea food soup it was an average food
I went there for their authentic Friday Chinese breakfast. Amazing Chinese fried doughnuts and fried dumplings with red bean inside. Their fresh soy milk is good too.
Authentic Chinese food and marvelous dishes. Food quality is not consistent though. Everything is made to order. Still would love to go there again and again...
If you want to try really authentic Chinese food this is the place. But me being an Indian requested them to add some spice to the food and courteously they did that. 😋 this place is situated in Rigga and the exterior looks like any restaurant in China. Pretty interesting exterior designs. I recommend the shrimp fried noodles along with deep fried egg plant with chicken. Also the crispy duck is a must try. The ambience inside is not that great and it's always crowded. But I will go back there again
A friend of me took me to a true authentic chinese experience in the heart of diera ,everything was chinese even the menu ,we were actually the only non chinese people in the place.
It was a delight as the food was really good especially the chilli crab and the black pepper shrimps.
If you dont care about the looks and you care about great chinese then this is your place
A good place to eat Chinese. I usually order Spicy steamed dumplings with Hot and Sour Soup. The dumplings are great, the sauce which they serve it with is mind blowing. I didn't enjoy the shrimps much, the soup on the other hand is really good.
The dishes are expensive, their Friday menu encapsulates good offers. Overall good Chinese, can be improvised though.

You obviously know that the food was cooked with love which for me is one of the most important things.
This place is very old and established restaurant and serves very authentic tasting Chinese food. They've an ala carte section in the ground floor and a buffet service upstairs, I've always had the buffet since there's hot pot and BBQ which is additional to the Chinese dishes and there's drinks and desert included so it's a great deal all in all.
Service staff is nice and humble. And needless to say it's very economical too !
Parking is hard to find but it's totally worth it.
Something for everyone to eat at this buffet.
I used to go to China Sea alot when I was working in Deira. I loved the food, we would usually orderd 1 beef fried rice for each person, 1 mandarin chicken (my favourite dish) 1 sweet and sour chicken (awesome) and one beef dish which I cannot remember its name. All in all a good experience but do not expect service since the staff are ametures and barely speak any english.

For me and my family this is one of the best authentic chinese restaurant. We're going here for how many years now and sometimes we do celebrate birthdays here.
The place is quite big to cater group of people. Even those big buses full of Chinese (tourists) they're coming here to have lunch or dinner.
They have a la carte and buffet. Everytime we come here we know what to order. As what we are always saying "the usuals".
First is the soup. Different kinds of soup either served on hotpot or with a big bowl. But what we love is mixed Seafood with cuttlefish and tofu. It was very tasty. Next is fried seafood gootey (also known as dumpling) once you cut it the juice of the filling will come out perfectly good with garlic vinegar sauce.
Their fried chicken with chili is one of the dish to try to. It is very crispy but not to oily. Cooked with different chinese condiments. Among their vegetable dishes, the one that we love is stir fried string beans cooked with soya sauce and with chicken pieces. It is good to pair with the plain white rice because of its sauce and the other vegetable dish that I love (which is not availble in my photos) is stir fried tofu and celery. It is very tasty especially if the celery is still crunchy. Lastly one of my fave is their authentic stir fried noodles. You can really say that they are the one making the fresh noodles because they have a counter near the entrance where the guy is making it.
There are lots of dishes to try to. Chicken feet, sea cucumber, scallops etc. They have a counter where you can choose some special items and they will cook it for you. Waiting time here is not really a problem only if it is Chinese New Year. 😝 They have reasonable price for the menu. Their portioning here is good as well.
So if you are a tourist or expat here and would like to try an authentic chinese cuisine I definitely recommend here. 👍🍴
If just based on hygiene I would have to give a 2.5 out of 5.0 scale, but in terms of food the Dubai branch would get a straight 5.0!
If you're looking for the best authentic Chinese dishes, then this is definitely the place to go.
You have dishes from just mediocre Chinese dishes like the rice items to dishes such as chicken feet and duck tongue.
100% a must try place.
Very authentic experience..no frills,but overall great value and good food.. if you choose well. Love the fried prawn dumplings, the French beans with black bean and minced chicken and all time favourite is the crispy beef with peanuts and chilli. Also must try the cabbage hot pot!
The fresh selection wall includes sea cucumber and duck face if you're up for it, fresh fish or crab of your choice prepared and served immediately.
Massively popular with the tour buses bringing droves of Chinese tourists, always a good sign.
Could really use some new facilities though, stay out of there if you can or are squeamish.

This is the best chinese restaurant in dubai and for me the best buffet for the price of 58 dhs. You get unlimited shabu-shabu, assortments of meat like beef, chicken and sea foods and whats more, unlimited soft drinks and you fruits for dessert plus a 4 hour window of eating time!!! I'm not paid to do this I just really had a great experience.
Food is Great , but Servise is not as great as the food
food is great. a la carte and buffet great price. don't expect best service.
