We tried their seafood platter and chicken platter which comes with free hot pot of your choice. I thought it would only feed max of 10 person but we are 15 and there are still left overs. The foods are really nice and the staff are very accomodating. We also met chef wong in person! we will definitely come back! ���

We celebrated my son's birthday party yesterday night at Dao Xiang. It was a great experience. Dao Xiang is clean and the foods are so yummy. The staff are all nice and accommodating. I am recommending Dao Xiang for everyone. Definitely worth dining in for every occasion. ����������

FOOD: 5/5 - Superb! Tomyum soup for Seafood is life. But Free Golden Bun for dessert is lifer.
SERVICE: 5/5 – Great service! Very fast set-up; food was in our table in less than 10 minutes. Also accommodating, we even requested the original sauce to be made by them. Engagement to customer is nice.
DRINKS SELECTION: 3/5 – To be fair, I haven't check much on drinks. But just a tip, don't order individual glass of Iced Tea- go for pitcher!
AMBIANCE: 4/5 – It's so comfortable and welcoming.
DESIGN: 4/5 – Instagram worthy both interior and exterior, just like those shops in Korean/Japanese series.
VALUE (for money): 5/5 – Great value for money!

A couple of friends and I were on the lookout for a good Chinese food eatery in Diera and chanced upon Chef Wong’s as a suggestion from Google, so we felt we should give it a try and head there. I would like to share my experience with this restaurant. First off it’s a restaurant favored by the Philipino populace of Dubai as most of the dine in guests we noticed were from the Philippines, including the serving staff and many of the items on the menu. Let’s detail some observations...
Decor: The place has a modern and appealing decor to it and looks and feels young and cool. Good music in the background and well conditioned to be comfortable to sit and eat with no odors and very clean and hygienic. Definitely a place to take friends and family. 9/10
Pricing: On the menu is mid ranged but they have amazing offers throughout the week and we went in on a Saturday which had a 20% off on the Al A Carte Menu - 9/10
Food Quality & Taste: we ordered Tom Yum soup as a starter and this was unfortunately a let down. Too much sourness in the soup and a bit lacking in fillers in the soup like seafood and the regular Tom yum addons. However it wasn’t unpalatable so we washed it down.
Next on our list was the Sesame Prawn Toast and this was excellent, not soaked in oil like many other places but well done and crispy perfect, would have loved to see more than just 04 quarters however and that’s not a complaint that’s just a greedy want 😋
We also ordered the Golden Fried Buns served with milk maid Which I guess is a special at the restaurant and it was just brilliant and oh so tasty, we should have ordered it as a dessert rather than an appetizer but we quickly gulped down those crispy creamy buns cause we were quite hungry too.
Our Main course was a Peking Styled Crispy Chicken Chilli and it was super awesome would definitely put it on my favorites in the list, also ordered a Steamed Hammour Fillet with Lemon and Herb which was also very tasty and well prepared. So full marks there. The egg fried rice we ordered was a simple addition and did what it had to do taste wise but unfortunately we couldn’t taste the Kailan we had ordered as the service team forgot to get it for us (we attribute it to a common error so I won’t strike off points for that one) maybe will try it the next time. By the time we remembered that the Kailan wasn’t there we had nearly finished and also felt full so we went ahead and cancelled the order. We washed down our meal with a Pitcher Of Chef Wong’s Jasmine Lemon Ice Tea and it was Delicious. So I would Award a 8/10 to Chef Wong’s in the Food Quality and Taste Category
Food Quantity - All Dishes can be shared by 02 so the quantity is quite sufficient and generous 9/10
Service - Finally the service part was ok. I felt the staff was welcoming and warm, and their food suggestions on specials was also good. However they would lose a couple of points only because I have to count the fact that they forgot one of our orders and in turn cost the restaurant some business. But overall I think the team there is very welcoming so 7/10 in this category.
I would certainly go back and try Chef Wong’s again given the opportunity, but if you are in the area, great 👍🏻 food by all means. Go for it . 👍🏻😊👌🏻
Feels like home! My partner and I always comes here every after work. This place comes very handy for people like us who work graveyard shift! Food is very tasty. Prices are worth it. Simply awesome!
the food are great and the staff are very polite and friendly. i love their pancit and the seafood is so delicious. and at 2 am in the morning they still serve a lot of dishes and combos are very economical.
We have gone to this restaurant more than a handful of times. The taste of the food has been consistently good. Order whatever they have discounted on that day. To have something like a price match.
One thing we have avoided doing is order their Seafood Boodle packages. The quantity of that is a failure.
I definitely recommend the Chicken Wings. Slurp.

I was recently introduced here last november 2018 and since that time ive come back 12times. Why? Because i wanted to try all their dishes.
So far so good. Everything is delicious. From appetizers to dessert. Their iced tea is also great but they should consider adding some mashed mint and lemon.
It' not in a famous hotel nor in the main road, so its best to follow google map or maze.

I has been a long time since I ate really good chinese food. I am so so happy I found this place. It is a hidden gem at the back streets of Salahudin area. The food is just excellent. I have been going back just for the flavors of their food. They have a daily 50% off offer during weekdays. The service size is generous. This is definitely one of my most favorite chinese places mainly also because it is super clean which is really important to me. I would love to meet chef Wong and give him a giant hug for all this fabulous food he has been serving us.

My favorite Shabu shabu place in Dubai. It is getting cold so I invited my brother and sisters for a shabu shabu night yesterday. This place is always packed with a lot of Filipinos dining and having fun with Shabu shabu and seafoods.
Usually they have fresh ingredients but last night it was quite low quality lobsters.
The miso soup shabu shabu was awesome. Cheap place for a big family dining :)

Me and my wife ate yesterday. Ordered shrimp siomai. It's so yummy. We highly recommend it. Also ordered the seafood original for two. It taste good and so creamy. We enjoyed the salmon in that cream sauce. We will definitely visit again to try the hotpot.

First time to dine in Chef Wong's and left with a promise to dine again soon. Absolutely enjoyed the mao po tofu with chicken, garlic fried rice, fried duck and street-style eggplant dish. Can't wait to try their beef noodles the next time I visit.

Impressive set up midst with the construction all around, cozy zen ambiance and friendly staff. Seafood Sizzling Platter is a must try but what I love the most is their TOFU in a tom yang soup.

Great Customer Service! We called them for reservation for 11 people to celebrate my friend's birthday last night and they helped us set up the wall design for her birthday surprise. From blowing the balloons to sticking it on the wall etc. They are amazing! Staff are attentive to your needs and yes, you may even find Chef Wong himself. :)
And definitely food was great! If i remember it right, they have half the price promos for some of their food from Sunday to Wednesday. We ordered seafood boodle, this comes with shrimps, mussels, crabs, lobster(i think), rice, noodles, corn, pitcher of iced tea and a hot pot of your choice for 4-6 persons maybe? Then we ordered mostly on the half price promo for Tuesday and everything was delicious. From their sisig, tofu with hamour dish (i forgot the name), pancit (my friends love it), fried fish (i forgot the name again) etc! Not to mention that we love their iced tea specially the lychee iced tea!
They are located beside the back of Ansar Gallery in Salah Al Din. Place was great, they have good lighting for photo ops which is important if you want to take a good photo right? :) They have outdoor seats in which you would just notice that its outdoor since its hot (hello summer!). Chef Wong is a must try for everyone. We will definitely come back and will recommend this to our friends as well.
We had lunch, and we were seated at the mid table, we ordered soup starter, siomai, rice, veg veg, and shrimp. The vegetable is fresh u can tell, i am not a fan of beef and the shrimp with squid is too spicy for me with lots as in lots of onion, the place is very clean, a few flies will irritate you but managable.. hope chef wong himself would be happy to great us when he entered the room and saw that we are the only table there. I watched a video of Chef Wong himself prepare a sizzling mouth watering seafood dish on facebook and I was sold. Since I'm an avid seafood lover I had to try this hidden gem. You can check on Zomato for directions. Word of advice, skip the weekend as it might probably be a while before you get a table. We were there on a Wednesday night and waited for 45min before being seated. You can probably park in Ansar Gallery as the hotel will not let you use theirs.
You enter through a glass door to an outdoor seating area with another door leading to inner dining area. Decore is very basic and Asian inspired with wooden garden-like furniture, use of stones in the walls and slate flooring to create a Zen like atmosphere.
I was under the impression this is a Hong Kong restaurant, so menu would be Chinese, but infact it is a fusion of Chinese/Filipino cuisine and the crowd was predominantly Filipino.
When you are in an unfamiliar territory it is always a good idea to let your server suggest from the menu, but they have promo menu's for every day of the week so choosing does get easier. We ordered the sizzling seafood platter, which came with garlic rice and a pitcher of Calamansi iced tea...all for just add. 105, very filling and yummy.
I can't wait to go back and try other dishes. Their hot pot's are a crowd favourite as every other table had ordered one.
The thing is this place is fairly cheap compared to the high-end seafood restaurants in Dubai, their portions are huge...they cook it fresh and to order, what's there not to like.

Had come with my wife and had tried their seafood platter along with the hot pot. Good quantity and portions, the taste was good and liked the simplistic look of the restaurant. Overall food was nice and what I loved most was the ice tea, might be the best Ice tea I tasted in town.

Chef Wong's is located in a hotel near Salah Al Din metro station and it was not difficult to find it. We ordered the Seafood Hotpot for 2 which included the tom yum soup, shrimps, crab meat, clams and some balls (if i'm not mistaken, fish and squid), noodles and veggies. The set also included 1 starter (I chose the steamed chicken dumplings), 1 sizzling dish (Rod Fernandez picked duck sisig) and a pitcher of iced tea. This was worth only AED 144 which i thought was a good price. We ordered tofu and crab balls separately.
The food was good - not great - but we still enjoyed it. The seating was comfortable and the lighting was relaxing. I loved the Asian touch of bamboo interiors and a very "zen" natural light. Not a big fan of the choice of music though; "birit" songs are not my type. I loved the calamansi iced tea.
What stood out in this restaurant is the efficiency of the staff. They were friendly, accommodating, and knew the menu by heart. They made us feel special and suggested what was best in the menu, even suggested items that we would not usually order.
This was my first time trying Filipino cuisine, and i got to say it was definitely something different, but it doesn't mean it was bad , i was surprise that it was very delicious, had a nice experience here.
After hearing good things from my friend about this place, me and my wife decided to try their menu. And yes, we've got a good recommendation and we really enjoyed our dinner. I recommend to try their yummy Crispy Duck!

Celebrated my birthday here and I made the right choice! The place is clean and organize. We order the offer that costs 144 Aed which includes Hotpot(we choose seafood hotpot with spicy tom yum soup, enough to satisfy our hunger), 1 appetizer(great calamari to start our dinner, a bowl of rice, 1 main dish we opted to try the duck sisig and a pitcher of Iced tea! And additional beef for our viand that is so tender and juicy! All the foods we order are really good!
We ordered a seafood tom yum hotpot for two along with extra beef, crab balls (fantastic) and tofu ' everything tasted really good. The staff were very friendly, informative and efficient.
For dessert we had black sesame tea and green tea icecream - both were good. The star of the desserts was the toffee banana which you dip in ice water to crystallize the toffee coating while the banana inside remain hot - yummm!
The dining area is clean, simple and organized. I will definitely come again. Great place to try with a large group of friends.

I've been to Chef Wong's twice. The first time was during Ramadan and their name was still Dao Xiang, the second branch of the one in Sheik Zayed.
During our first visit, there were only 2 groups of diners and all were Filipinos. All of their servers are also Kabayans and they were very accommodating.
We ordered their Seafood Hotpot for 2 and we got to choose our soup base. The server who was assigned to us recommended the Japanese soup which was very tasty and rich. The Hot Pot comes with vegetables, noodles, shrimps, crab sticks, dumplings, squid, and salmon balls. I enjoyed making my own sauce and my favorite was the peanut sauce mixed with the black sauce that as far as I can remember was made of some leeks and idk. 😁😄😄 We also ordered Vegetable Spring Rolls and Green Tea Ice Cream and both tasted well.
On our second visit, the place was jam packed and we were asked to wait. We patiently waited for 15 minutes to be seated because we simply love their food!
We ordered the Seafood Hot Pot again but this time, we tried the Tom Yum Soup and as expected, it was also very rich and tasty. We also had their Sizzling Tofu and it was the bomb!
Overall, I would recommend this place to my DXB friends. Our total damage for the first visit was AED 99 while the second one was AED 80+. FYI, they have promotions like Half-Priced Weekdays so you guys may want to try it.

SO,brother and I had our late dinner here this week and we have no idea about their menu except that we saw a facebook video of Chef Wong cooking the famous HK style Boodle fight.
Since I am craving for hotpot,we opt to select their offer of AED 144 for a pitcher of refreshing ice tea, one starter (we chose beef dumplings), one bowl of half garlic rice and half of white rice, one hotpot (we chose seafood hotpot) plus additional tofu, and sizzling plate ( they recommend sizzing duck). It is supposed to be good for 4 person.
We love the food. Tastes like authentic Chinese resto. The hotpot has variety of soup flavor. We chose Tom yum soup base. You will fall in love with sizzling druck becausing it is so flavourful. I suggest you come and visit Chef Wong.

Наш любимый ресторанчик Гонконгской кухни, за нашу 6-дневную поездку поужинали здесь 4 раза, так нам понравилось! Всё очень вкусно, супер чисто и совсем недорого. Порции огромные. Еду приносят быстро, буквально за несколько минут, мы каждый раз удивлялись. Обслуживание очень приятное, официанты вежливые и тактичные, нас три раза обслуживал Луи, ему отдельное спасибо!
