For what was sold to me as one of dubais top end Thai restaurants; the service/attitude really lets this place down. Service was slow which could be expected given Friday night 8pm, but we seemed to be served by 2-3 different waiters which was very confusing and led to wrong orders for both food and drink coming to the table. The worst bit for me and which really spoilt the whole evening was a very rude waiter. We had ordered the set menu as seemed a good way to sample different meals between 2 people. In an error we were given the a la carte menu. I asked what options were available for desert and the waiter snatched this out my hand and told me I could not order because I was on set menu, then walked off. Very rude and he did not even offer me the chance of ordering after dinner cocktails which were also on that same menu, which he had to then bring back to me when I asked him. Food was very nice, but when your paying double what other equally good Thai restaurants offer in Dubai, you expect to feel welcomed and you just don't get that here.

Very bad service, we waited more than 20 minutes even with reservation. The waitress was suggesting orders without sense (and pushing for it), serving water or wine so quickly just to push us to order for other bottles (even after 10 minutes we sit). And of course the food is not that good at all: we ordered a main course (150aed), seafood wok, and the plate came with everything apart seafood (I counted 1 small scallop inside). Again the waitress ordered rice without asking as she told us "main course without rice is not good".... A very disappointed dinner. Average food and bad service for "the best thai restaurant" in town.

Amazing service, attentive waiters and very welcoming. Food was amazing and drinks were great. A lovely seat outdoors to admire the boats going past and a great surprise for our anniversary dessert! Highly recommend this place! It is worth every penny.

I tried the tiger crispy prawns but the were so so compared to the hype. The beef salad was too spicy even though I had requested to waiter to keep it mild spicy. Overall I have had better thai food compared to Pai thai.

Very disappointing. We waited 45min to be seated while we had booked, we had to send back the steak as it was too chewy, and the replacement dish (after 30min) was too sweet for a cary and came without cutlery. The seafood was undercooked yet edible. The only advantage of the place is the view and the vibes, but even the service is not good, as we complained to 3 different people and it didn’t change anything. The management merely pretended to be sorry and proposed a mocktail to counterbalance the bad experience. Will not go again even if offered anything, which they didn’t anyway.

Pai Thai is definitely the most authentic Thai food restaurant in Dubai we know of. We have been visiting to satisfy our cravings for their curries and shrimps since a long time now. So far, they have never disappointed us. If only they could work on their portion size a bit! :)

Husband chose this place for our Anniversary lunch date. A beautuful land located in the heart of the city.<br/>Romantic place with nature to the best.<br/>Pai Thai is one of the best Thai restaurants located within the Madinat Jumeirah resort. To reach that restaurant you can catch an Abra(boat)or walk 2 mins through the greens.<br/>We were received with a warm welcome by some friendly staffs. <br/>They had a set menu and trust me it was worth the price. We ordered some chilled rose wine along with some appetizers, main course and dessert. <br/>They didnt have mängo for the sticky rice dessert. Instead the jackfruit. A differnt taste but worth trying. <br/>At the end they gave us a small roll sandwich cake as an anniversary gift. <br/>Loved the place, the ambience, the food and the staffs.. <br/>We will visit you guys when the winter starts to experience the outside seating.<br/>Rajit Pillai

Pai Thai is the only finest and authentic Thai restaurant you can find in Al Qasr, Madinat, Dubai. I went so many times in the past and several times this July for my birthday and dinner with friends. Food is freshly cooked and so delicious. Vibe of the ambience is awesome, a truly thai village settings. Food staff are very attentive and well cleaned specially now during covid. They were really caring towards their guests. I’d love to visit the place again. You can go with your family and friends. Do try their famous Massaman Thai curries. Definitely recommend Pai Thai.

After having difficulty finding the place which is a hidden gem in Madinat Jumeirah, we really enjoyed our Dinner. Our server was amazing, and the food was very very tasty.<br/><br/>Can only recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes authentic Thai food. Definitely try the Papaya Salad with Tamarind dressing or the different curries.

Not at all impressed about the quality of the food, we have had much better Thai food at other places for half the cost . We went to the restaurant for our anniversary but we were very disappointed with the quality of the food . The staff was also very loud and it was quite a disturbance for us since we're trying to enjoy our evening. I would recommend the place only for the romantic ambience but not for anything else . I would have been happy to pay a high price if the quality of the food and the service levels were also at par .

Pai Thai, located in Al Qasr hotel, Madinat Jumeirah. It’s a wonderfully beautiful place. <br/>We went there for my Birthday. <br/>The place is so romantic and so beautiful. <br/>We had Mocktails (I don’t remember the names but both were very refreshing and delicious). For starters we had Spring Rolls and Papaya salad. <br/>For mains we had Thai Green curry which was very flavorful. N also Jasmine Rice. Loved the way they served the rice from a basket. <br/>The fruit platter was complimentary from the restaurant. I must the fruits were super fresh and delicious.

This place was on our list of must visits since quite sometime and finally we visited the restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Right from table booking to till the time we left the restaurant the service was exceptional and the staff were very courteous and attentive.<br/><br/>Coming to the food we ordered spring rolls and prawns satay which were very well made. For the main course we went with pineapple fried rice and green chicken curry. The green curry was very flavourful with right mix of spices. We had the traditional mango with sticky rice for the dessert and the sticky rice topped with coconut cream and some roasted sesame seeds enhanced the flavor.<br/><br/>Overall it was an extremely satisfying experience and the great treatment of the staff ensured we would visit this place again.

Great ambience. Lovely food. Loved to see a separate veg menu for vegetarians. The abra ride to the restaurant was quite an experience. The only let down was that they did not reserve the table I had pre booked. They should have informed me earlier if they did not have the option. Nevertheless, a great restaurant that you should go to. Smiling staff. We were well served. Made my wife's day when they got a small cake to cebrate her bday (you need to give them prior notice). A work dinner with set menu turned out to be a feast. Meals were awesome. Vegetarians are spoilt for choice. Nestled on the canal, a short walk through the garden or a boat from the hotel gets you there. Great venue, great service and good food

I had great experience in Pai Thai, the food was delicious and the view was amazing. <br/><br/>For starters we had the Som Tam Salad which is the papaya salad that tasted great but was a bit spicy.<br/>We ordered the platter which had different starters such as dim sum, chicken, beef, and spring rolls, it also had different kind of sauces with it. <br/>We also had the Gai Har Bai Toey which is chicken with a delicious sauce on a side. <br/> For the main course, we ordered the sea bass that tasted fine, and neua yang Pathai which is Australian beef and it was delicious. <br/><br/>The only criticism I would say that the table had a lot of ants and the service was slow.

Such a beautiful restaurant, went there for our 8th anniversary dinner. I came here last night with a friend and ordered the green curry since it’s a best seller, unfortunately the chicken was undercooked and tasted very bad, I told the waiter and he removed it from my bill and apologized but last night i had stomachache and nausea and it is still going on today

Upscale, worth to do with visitors.<br/>I would recommend the green curry with prawns and the red curry as well. They re both different.<br/>Also order the pomelo salad for a fresh side.<br/>Their spring rolls are adequate.

This place serves the best Thai food in Dubai, Period! The ambience is perfect, we sat out near the canal on a beautiful March evening. The staff was courteous and the service was swift. The food was awesome. We ordered the Purple Flower Chicken dumplings which were mind blowing, Pandan chicken, fish fillets, jasmine rice and a chicken gravy. Everything was on point. Will definitely go back with special guests!

Visited here with my wife to celebrate her birthday. The Abra ride to the restaurant from Madinat was a great way to start our evening. We had a reservation but waited for not longer then 10 minutes for our table to be ready. They offered a table in the back outside, next to the water. What was perfect! The ambience, background music and the traditional dance during the evening was great. The staff was very friendly. The food was delicious, never had such a good Thai food in UAE before. At the end they offered a free dessert for our occasion. All in all it was a great evening, will definitily come back!

The setting undoubtedly is mesmerizing; set next to a canal, you reach the restaurant by a boat ride, meandering through a pretty setting of Madinat Jumeriah hotel, lovely lighting and the facades of tastefully done water-front villas and bungalows all around – the mood is already set by the time you reach this place. Certainly, the place has a very romantic setting. The food is also not too bad, but if someone forced me to choose one over the other, I would give the setting more marks than the food there. So if you wish to impress your date, then this is it (beware, it will cost you).  However like Zomato says Good Food - No Bull – this place does not make that rank.

If u are craving for some authentic Thai food then you can surely visit this place. They serve authentic Thai food at very reasonable prices! Service is bit slow but you can give it a try once.

Well, not many places deserve a full 5/5 rating, but this one does. The setting is mesmerizing, particularly if you happen to sit on or near the deck. The abra ride to the dining area is spell-bounding and a perfect mood setter. We chose the Restaurant Week Menu, which proved to be a very nice selection from the best this place has to offer. The prawn cakes were finger licking good as was the green thai curry. My highlight was the water chestnut and coconut milk dessert...loved it. They took care of our special occasion request and offered a complimentary cake slice (that was yum as well). Definitely a must try place for everyone - Dubai residents or visitors.

The place is very impressive, the hotel is very elegant, the abra ride to the restaurant is the highlight of my visit and that's about it. Tried the set menu for dubai food week and I must say I expected more. The quality of the food does not justify the price, don't get me wrong it was very nice but not what I would spend for. The green curry was the only thing that I really liked. The service was very good, the staff was very polite and helpful (with exception of the lady at the reservation counter).

I’ve dinned here several times fir the feast of Xahar on weekends with friends and family. It’s trendies value with lots to chose from! Only trouble is to try not to over indulge! Booking is essential. The staff are warm welcoming and helpful. They setting is a treat also. Get there early to really enjoy.

Great place due to the ambience and the food. The approach is amazing thanks to the gondola ride. We have been there 3 times over the years and always went back happy! The vegetarian green Thai curry and chor Muang (purple flower chicken dumplings) are our favorite.

Went with my wife for our anniversary. When we got to the lobby, there was two ways to get to the restaurant. One was by golf cart and the other was by a small boat. We opted for the latter, which can hold about ten people. It was a great first impression. After five minutes or so we arrive at the restaurant and it was quite crowded for a Wednesday night. The decor was modern Asian inspired. We sat outside near the canal and the service was great. Appetizers were fine and so was the mains. When we booked, we mentioned that it was our anniversary and they surprised us with a delicious chocolate mousse cake which was great. Really had no complainants just a bit pricey. It not your everyday place to munch. Great for special occasions. Will definitely recommend and go back but for a special occasion.

Been here for the Friday xahar brunch. Ambience outside was beautiful. Only few items on the brunch are great like the Goon gra crispy prawns, the satay chicken and the Som Tam Je. The Som Tam Je was just superb, I relished everything on the plate. Very refreshing on the palate but everything else was okay.

Really good Asian food. Perfect ambiance, a little crowded. Good portions and very tasty. Went during the night and really enjoyed the service.

Got the chance to visit a 5* restaurant during our Dubai trip and the place was just awesome. The place overlooked Burj Al Arab. Had to take a small boat ride to ride to reach the restaurant. The food was fine. The chicken Satay was good and the chicken in pandanus leaves was just ok. For main course we ordered pad thai which was ok and not that tasty, the green and yellow Thai curry was too yummy. It is a lovely place and just to experience it you can visit there.

The setting of the restaurant is beautiful with water and garden seating. The interior gives you a feeling of an authentic Thai place. The food is very average with the portion size too small to share. However, the veg soup is a good find. However, the restaurant needs to work on multiple facets to really make the guest experience memorable. Our celebration of special occasion was cut short by noisy and rowdy guests seated next to our table. Despite having made reservation a week in advance and notification that it was a special occasion, we were made seated in the group area rather than being allocated an exclusive or quite place (the restaurant probably has more than 100 pax seating in multiple areas which shouldn't have been an issue or should have been catered to in the first place). We made the staff aware and requested for a quite seating place, however we had to request twice in 10 mins to get another seating. Nothing special was made for the occasion wherein some rose petals were put on the table and for the cake without any celebration song or anything was placed on the table, even the candle was lit upon arriving on the table. The hotel needs to invest in its serving staff as they are in dire need of a lot of training to serve customers as it seemed multiple times that we were visiting a standalone restaurant rather than a world class hotel restaurant. The food also takes a long long time, approx. 30 mins from the time of ordering the dish.<br/><br/>The restaurant manager came to our table to apologize but the overall experience of celebration an occasion was unpleasant and we thought that another restaurant would have been a much better experience.<br/><br/>Nothing was done post addressing our grievances to remove the unpleasantness except for an apology. The restaurant should have gone the extra mile by making their guest leave happier rather than on a bad taste.<br/><br/>All in all the experience was sweet and sour, sweet due to the hotel ambience and the boat ride to the restaurant and sour on the restaurant experience.<br/><br/>Recommendation: go to the restaurant for the experience of boat ride and hotel ambience on a normal weekday rather than public holiday or celebrating special occasion

Nothing beats the location of this incredible restaurant, half on the water, half surrounded by tropical trees, it's a must go to place that combines beautifully cooked Thai dishes with dreamy surroundings.

We visited this place in celebration of our anniversary. I must say it is perfect for a romantic date.To begin with, it is located in the beautiful palace like hotel Jumeirah Al Qasr. You are taken to the restaurant in a boat, which adds an extra curiosity element to this amazing experience. The restaurant is beautiful with dim lights and rose petals on the tables. <br/>As for dinner, we ordered Sa khu na goong(crispy fried prawns beautifully seasoned), Gai phad med ma muang(it’s chicken with cashew nuts, a bit on the sweeter side), green chicken curry (which was soo delicious, and not to forget the portion is huge) along with khao phad gai(chicken fried rice cooked to perfection).<br/>Also a special mention to extremely friendly and prompt service. 😃👍🏻

Overpriced food... quality of food was good.. but flies were not... we had flies all over the food and there was no resolution by management there... if you make an open restaurant, you gotta watch it

Pai Thai, is one of the Uber dining experience in the Dubai's food map. This one restaurant that must be in your bucket list if not one of the things that you do in Dubai. The hotel itself is magnificent, designs have captured life time of past and have brought it to the Now. Excellent detail and to say it in one word - Opulence.

Highly recommended whether you are staying in Dubai or visiting Dubai, for the multi sensory experience it has to offer: be it the view, the ambience, the service, vegetarian options or the tantalizing food. Consistently rated as one of the best Thai restaurants and I can say for all the right reasons. from my own experience. It is one of the most popular restaurants in this side of town and hence a reservation is recommended as you will find it almost impossible to get a seating without one especially on a weekend. A week in advance is ideal as that way you get to choose the time too.

I think it is really one of the best places to have a romantic dinner at. It is very quiet, peaceful, light music on the background, very friendly staff. To reach the restaurant and to go back you need to take a boat. Which is an experience too))). Food is also amazing. I will never forget the Pekin Duck there and the sauce they serve it with is simply yummy. Really recommend

I have been there last Saturday and it was a great experience! The food is amazing! The place is very busy so be sure to book some days in advance and to ask for a nice table. It is a bit expensive but I don't mind spending money for a combination of good food nice staff and lovely location. I want to try the brunch soon!

To reach this place you have to take a boat which makes the experience more memorable. One of the authentic thai restaurants I've been to. The food was cooked to perfection. The ambience was great with great staff. I would definitely come back!

We went here for my sister's birthday. It was absolutely terrific. Everything was so tasteful and spicy, just the way I like it. The ambiance of Pai Thai was delightful and pleasant. It may be a little pricy, but It was worth every penny.

Thanks to the management for arranging a table outside on such a short notice. Went here for dinner. The abra ride from madinat to the restaurant in the night in itself is mesmerizing. It leads to this beautiful place by the canal (make sure you request for a table by the water in advance). I feel the lighting could have been better (dimmer), it's kind of distracting for the view. There was a Thai dancer, who come and dance by each table, very subtle and beautiful. <br/>One tip for when you walk out of the hotel, do not take the red meter taxi (they charge extra), walk a little and catch a yellow one from outside the hotel.

This place has met my all expectations in terms of ambience, Food and service. We were taken to the restaurant through a boat and me and my family loved it especially my 3 yr old son got really excited after seeing the boat. We have been greeted by the staff and offered a good table. Food quality and presentation was really good. My 3 yr old active son had space to move around and i can say without hesitation that i can give all the starts to this place because it was romantic and as well as kid friendly.

Probably the best Thai food I've ever had, but then, I've never actually been to Thailand. Definitely the best Thai I've had in the UAE, or the US. Felt like the food merited the price paid.

The ambiance was amazing.. food was fine but the service was very bad, slow and rude.. cause of which food was delivered very late.. almost ruined our anniversary dinner

One of the best locations in Dubai, this restaurant stands out in its charm of begin driven in a boat (though with mannerless captains) all the way to this amazing Thai experience. Loved the food, quality and very kind staff. If not for the bad Abra experience, everything else was mind blowing.

I just loved the place and food . I tried green vegetable curry that is very tasty .The food is amazing it’s expensive but it’s tasty . This is best Thai food I have tried in Dubai till now ... you should pre book the place as it is crowded on weekends and location is so nice we went on boat till that place it was fun and lovely place

I think the most exciting part of our evening here was reaching the restaurant via boat. The food was good - but nothing spectacular. And the real reason for this review is a 45minute wait despite a reservation. So no, won't be back here again.

Booked the restaurant from Mumbai before coming to Dubai.  <br/>Enjoyed the gondola ride reaching to this restaurant was like Venice in the middle of desert cruising in the canals.. Located in beautiful resort Al Qasr, you will find a little corner of thai cuisine. Love the authenticity here! Literally some of the best food we have ever eaten! Spring rolls were amazing.. Food was absolutely same like Thailand, so tasty and fresh!  <br/>Separate menu for vegetarians which was very helpful. Food was excellent especially the Papaya Salad and Tofu in Black Bean Sauce. <br/>Book well in advance to avoid disappointment. Great ambiance, smoothly balanced flavors, exceptional service. The complimentary abra ride and local music and dance entertainment seal the deal. Only reason of giving 1 star less is coz of the 20 minute delay in getting us a table even though we had arrived sharply in time as per our prior reservation.

This is the place for a lovely brunch with your family and friends. Located in beautiful resort Al Qasr, you will find a little corner of thai cuisine. I’ ve been here for their brunch and dinner on the terrace. I will recommend both options. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxing and the place is very popular. The brunch menu is offers a set menu from where u can choose your dishes and all you can eat - that was very fun. The dinner menu is a la carte and the atmosphere at night on the terrace is more romantic. The food is delicious and you will have a really thai experience here. I love the vegetables soup with coconut amazing taste and so fresh and the beef so juicy.Love the place and the decoration.

One of my favorite restaurant’s in Dubai.... have been to the place a few times and the ambiance is amazing.... u can go to the restaurant on an Abra..... the staff is very polite and the food is delicious.... <br/>tried the Tom yum, green curry, red curry and a few more dishes and all were cooked in an authentic Thai way...<br/><br/>Highly recommended....

We couldn't have found a better place than Pai Thai to celebrate our anniversary. The ambience was absolutely romantic and the boat ride till the restaurant made it even more delightful. Being a Thai food lover, I can vouch that this is one of the finest Thai restaurants in Dubai. We kept drooling at the purple dimsums till the end..this is something that you must try.<br/>We'll surely keep coming back for more.

Been to Pai Thai twice and will surely keep going back for more!<br/><br/>The boat ride till the restaurant adds to the experience. Another option to reach this place is to take the buggy as well.<br/><br/>The staff is very courteous and accommodating. The food portion sizes are very large and not meagre.<br/>All the dishes are made well.<br/>The Pomelo salad and veg spring rolls are the best as compared to other restaurants.<br/><br/>Great restaurant.

Pai Thai is definitely a Thai food lover's paradise ! The menu showcases the definition of delicious comfort food. The food is great and it only leaves you craving for more.

Sweet boat ride and good food! <br/>The Thai Green curry was smashing!! Loved it. <br/>Chicken Satay was a bit chewy. <br/>Wok Fried - Prawns Scallop Calamari - was just Ok. I expected very good. :-/<br/><br/>People serving and managing are very sweet.

<br/>I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and experience at Pai Thai last night. Beginning with the enchanting Abra ride, then stepping off the little boat towards the hot pink uber kitsch and cool Rickshaw, and then being welcomed warmly by every member of staff. Not once almost falling into the Abra canal (but twice).<br/>My meal:<br/>1. Complimentary Prawn Crackers with 2 sauces made for a fun prelude.<br/>2. Appetizer : A bamboo steamer laden with an assortment of colors and shapes of dim sum, containing tasty vegetable, chicken and prawn fillings. This was a very generous portion (as are all the portions of food at Pai Thai, so it's very easy to share)(that is: you are unlikely to begrudge family and friends when they ask for a taste🙈). Served with Soy and Sweet Chilli sauces.<br/>3. Mains: A traditional ceramic Thai Bain Marie preserving the heat of a phenomenally delicious Red Prawn Curry, served with a Thai Coconut Rice. This was my highlight of the evening. I asked for a moderate intensity of chili and they delivered exactly that: not bland nor diluted, nor overly intense which would have masked those soul stirring Thai flavours. It was perfect and you'll have to experience it for yourself as no description can capture a perfect alchemy of spices and sauces all playing harmoniously together. The crushed peanuts added a playful crunchy texture as well as a sweet, nutty taste.<br/>4. Pattaya : a non alcoholic mocktail blending pineapple, coconut milk, grenadine and cream. It tasted like a combination of a Pina Colada and a Bombay Crush; I enjoyed both those, so naturally I enjoy this twice as much.<br/>5. My co-highlight of the night: Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango and Coconut Cream. Astoundingly similar to my Mother and Grandmothers' Hew and Ruh (hot vermicelli and chilled Mango juice). I finished every last bit. Sharing? Sorry, that does not apply to this dessert. Property of my belly and heart.<br/>Thanks to the wonderful people at Pai Thai for my best dinner at Madinat Jumeirah thus far.

Came here on Saturday. New favourite Thai place. We sat outside and it was a romantic setting in Al Qasr Great service. Brilliant food.  The food is perfect for people looking for authentic Thai. Must visit restaurant. :)

I celebrated my birthday here and loved everything about this place _ the food the ambience the decor everything here was worth it. Had to take a boat to the place which was so exciting. Coming back to food - they serve prawn crackers as complimentary with some sauces which I really liked. I ordered chicken satay and chicken thai green curry with jasmine rice. All the flavours were perfectly blended with the spices. The most authentic Thai food I ever had in Dubai.They also gave me a complimentary cake for my birthday which was so buttery and lip smacking. I will surely be back here soon.<br/>Great work chefs 👌❤keep it up ❤❤

We had a great experience at Pai Thai. The service was fabulous and the drinks were refreshing. They were very adjustable by creating vegetarian no mushroom food for some of us too. Must try their green Thai curry for sure. They were also very kind to arrange a cake for our occasion.

We went here for the feast of xahar. It was amazing!!<br/>Such a nice concept i.e they have a lunch menu and you can order what ever you want to eat in a limited price and if you like something you can order that more . The food and service both were fantastic.

What can we say. Pai thai over the years have maintained their class which is apart, serving the best gourmet version of thai cuisine. A perfect restaurant for a romantic dinner, or even catching up with your old friends.<br/><br/>We had tried their pairthai dim sum, goong yang which is grilled prawns with thai sauce, tom khar soup, khao pad phak and few options which i cant remember the names! Absolutely amazing food, experience and ambinence.
