They might not have big selection of sashimi and sushi but they have picked the best food that they can prepare and kept it in the menu. By the way, try to request for the private rooms and enjoy eating like a true Japanese.
The servings were so much for the promotion meal! It never gets packed inside. The place is really good with great staff and authentic food. They offer alcohol and pork with makes it the best place to dine at for celebrations.
Went with the All you can eat Sushi Offer. Absolutely loved the experience, the seating arrangement and the ambiance. From the entree, to the unlimited sushi platter to the dessert (Mochi)- thoroughly enjoyed it!
My second time in this place...We enjoyed a lot...from korean ,japanese, thai, and Filipino foods...Service is exceptional...we will definitely come back..
Decent food, very good staff, great atmosphere all in all very good. Had the grand buffet and a massive selection of food from Japanese, Korean and Philippines. Deserts were awesome.
Hanabi is one of the restaurants in Asiana that has an offer of Grand Buffet for AED 155.00 with soft beverage. Grand Buffet because you can eat at 3 restaurants which I will post my review of the other restaurants soon. The only downside of having this Grand Buffet is you have too much option that you don’t know which one to get.

Authentic Japanese dishes! Very fresh sushi, lovely oriental flavors. You know it’s good when there are lots of Japanese people also dinning in the restaurant. The Mochi dessert was delicious 🤤.
Add it to your bucket list! They have a great offer right now AED99 for a yummy banquet! Which gives your a great introduction to their menu for future visits.
Was craving for tempura but I ended up eating edamame. They hve nice choices of sushi as well and also it was my first time to drink sake. Taste weird but it was not bad.
Very friendly, accommodating staff, and they always smile...
Japanese ambiance...clean and tidy
They don't make u wait too long for the food to be served
I always comeback for the Ramen
This place gives you the full Asian dining experience, complete with closed door, low seating arrangement (without having to sit cross legged). The ambience is very inviting. The food itself is well prepared and delicious. We tried the sushi set, miso tantanmen and gekikara miso ramen, along with their house draught (light, crisp and very refreshing). One of the best Asian meal experiences in Dubai. Recommended for all lovers of ramen and sushi.
I went there for Ramen but I changed my mind to buffet. The variety of food were amazing but I couldn't eat a lot!!! As not expecting it this much! I might want to try all you can eat sushi set menu for next time!!!
My usual favorites at Asiana is either Sonamu or Lamesa; on a public holiday weekend I was planning to visit Lamesa but due to being late the restaurant was packed and I decided to try out the quiet Hanabi instead; this was my first time and it was an amazing experience.
The Menu was authentic with a wide variety of dishes and meat options. I went for the Aburi Charshu and it was brilliant one of the best versions available in town, the meat was melt in mouth and very good quantity as well. The flavours were light and subtle, would be definitely heading back for this dish. The Yaki Gyoza was amazing as well with flavorful filling and good portions. The Miso chashu men and the Seafood Kimchi ramyeon was amazing as well, both we very good servings. The Asahi served was chilled and perfect to compliment all the dishes.
The service was impeccable as with any other restaurants within Asiana, Would suggest you to go for the Zabutan floor seating to get a traditional Japanese dining feel and privacy, perfect for groups of upto 8 per room or more can be accommodated as well.
With a single visit this has become one of my most favorite Japanese eateries in town in terms of value and quality. Highly recommended if you are looking some good Japanese food.
Went for the Grand buffet, worth visiting! Loved all 3 restaurants that served Japanese, Korean,Filipino and Chinese cuisine. Staff are really friendly and courteous. We’ll be back for sure!
Headed to Hanabi with friends for their buffet - 150aed per head with soft drinks.
I thought we were only having the Japanese buffet and was pleasantly surprised that the buffet included food from the other two restaurants. So it included Korean and Asian n pasta dishes. For such a wide variety, definitely value for money. The Japanese food is just average but the Korean selection was awesome. In my honest opinion, skip the desserts. Tasted weird.
Overall, very pleasant environment, nice staff and they provide valet parking which is a plus point because parking is difficult around the area.
Definitely recommend and will be returning.
One of my favorite HANABI, Japanese restaurant. Best Miso Ramen, Delicious foods And friendly staff, We are a Regular walk in guest since 2013.
Not made by Japanese but taste very much genuine Japanese. That is why this place is loved by so many Japanese expats here. Awesome. Ramen here is must try.
Been here for the Thursday night buffet in the traditional Japanese style seating, very nice warm ambiance similar to ones found in Japan. The buffet selection food is a fusion rather than the authentic Japanese Korean food but still very good. Extremely courteous and friendly staff.👍👍👍
Had been here for a late dinner and yet, the food served to us was fresh and good. We did tackle Ramen Soup which was a shocker to us. We had expected this to be for one person but the serving size was good enough for 4. By the time, we had tackled the tempura, it was all done for us. It's a good place with the decor and you can try out some proper Japanese cuisine there.
Why doesn't this place have a better rating! The wait staff were so friendly, the ambience was understated and mellow. I had the udon as a main, and a bunch of tempura and the grilled squid for starters. My partner had a rice and beef dish (forgetting the name now) and it was delicious. Even the serving plates were something special - they looked handmade and had painted, everything was like a work of art! A really great experience, hidden away in a totally unexpected part of Deira. Definitely go if you love Japanese food (and want to try a place that doesn't just focus on sushi) and would like an authentic Japanese experience.
I've been living in Dubai for almost 4 years. One of the things that I have been missing the most was a restaurant where they would serve a good ramen. Until today, I had to travel abroad to satisfy my cravings. A friend Ikuko hinted us towards the restaurant. The good news is they have the best ramen. I would not recommend to travel all the way down for much else in particular.
Great quality sushi and sashmi, very fresh, well prepared and the place is just beautiful. Very Japanese interior, even their private dinning rooms are great especially if you are huge group of people or have a family gathering or celebration ; it's just perfect for that . Their Japanese rice bowl with assorted sashimi was to die for ! Fresh , delicious and great portion of sashimi too. If you love Japanese cuisine, this is worth the try.
Stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to try it out.. I must say the service was awesome! I read in one of the reviews that the servers do not speak English well enough to take an order.. I feel that may be a bit of a generalization as we didn't feel the same. We engaged with four different servers throughout the course of our meal and all were speaking the language well enough to hold a conversation and answer questions we had about the food.
The beef hot pot was pretty amazing. I don't know where the original hot pot concept originates from as I always thought it's a Chinese way of cooking.. But either way this one was with dried seaweed and hot water.. And it was yum!
Price wise I think they're pretty decent. Taste was good and the service was great! I'd definitely go back a second time..
Decent quality sushi and other Japanese dishes from the a la carte, but quality and definitely choice nose dives during the Japanese-Korean-Chinese buffet they participate in. Despite the somewhat lower standard during the buffet, it still represents fair value and is an opportunity, as with all buffets, to sample or indulge at your own pace. Their hot food during the buffet is better than the sushi, it has richer flavours and appears to be prepared with more enthusiasm.
The best Japanese restaurant in town. I do love to come here. Lunch is cheaper than dinner menu.. However, they are serve the best fresh japanese food. Thursday and Friday night are buffet night but you can order from menu as well... I love this restaurant and im regular customer..... Im writing this here while eating ( 1/jan/2015) @ 8 pm
The food is good, ambience is good and price for the set lunch is reasonable at Dhs50+. But service is more of a miss as staff do not understand English nor the menu well. We had a few times had our orders wrong. A few times a server come to bring us food and we ask him what is this, he didn't know and have to go back to the kitchen to find out. Hope they can improve on their service.
Rated as 1 of the top 10 Japanese places in 1 of the leading magazines..and decided to try it out..the place and the ambiance was good..staffs seemed really friendly but they should also know that its not just Japanese people coming there to have food but other people also to try out the cuisine..the staffs lacked basic english speaking skills which made it really hard to order something of the menu for a first timer like me..food was nice and was quite different from my everyday menu so we enjoyed it..pork..beef..salmon..chicken..sushis..
The Asiana Hotel has this unique authentic feel to it, as if you've left Dubai and set foot into a little Asian haven. I've already checked the Korean off my restaurant "to-do" list, next up is the Japanese joint, Hanabi.
We were seated at our cozy little table towards the back wall of the restaurant. There wasn't much foot traffic in there, so we were able to select a table to our liking, On the charger plate was this beautiful Origami crane, a unique touch and warm welcome. The crane is symbolic in Japanese culture as a sign of hope and peace.
We were then served cold Mugicha Tea, which is traditionally made by briefly simmering roasted barley grains. It has a toasty taste, with slight bitter undertones. Many people in Japan believe that Mugicha helps to cleanse the body. There have been studies done that may indicate that it helps to reduce stress.
After we placed our dinner order, we were brought this Amuse Bouche. A light salad consisting of mushrooms, spinach, seaweed, and pickled carrots. So far the experience has been pleasant, and it felt more and more like this Japanese was not catering to a western audience like Zuma or Okku. In fact there clientele was indigenous to the Japanese region, and therefor were catering to a more traditional palette.
One of our starters was a fresh seafood salad. It consisted of a prawns, octopus, seaweed, sea cucumbers, and a touch of sesame. Next we received our sashimi selection of Blue Fin Tuna, Yellow Fin Tuna, Salmon. All were delicately sliced and plated, and the freshness of these 3 items could be seen by the quality of presentation and the rate of how it melted in your mouth. The colors and marbling also say it all.
Desert was a must when I heard they had Mochi on the menu. They only had one flavor available for the Mochi, which wasVanilla. However they did offer Green Tea and Red Bean Ice Cream. The Mochi, a doughy rice cake filled with vanilla ice cream was sweet and smooth. The rest of the icy treats were also tasty, but not as smooth. The flavor of the green tea ice cream was subtle, and the red bean was more robust.
Hanabi was overall a good experience. The waitstaff is almost subservient, but happy to answer questions and accommodate. The restaurant also has 4 smaller private rooms where you can host a lovely dinner for up to 10 people. Asiana Hotel is located in the heart of Deira and is a lovely little escape from the Dubai "norm". With authentic Kimonos and decor, its difficult to resist this unique experience.

Food was really nice. You can tell that is authentic japanese food, for the amount of japanese customers they get. Don't expect to find fusion style japanese here. Only the real thing
