Good Indian fusion food, could make the portion of Lassi bigger and better though. But overall yummy food
So delicious
Recommend to try
Nice cosy ambiance, it's a small space with lots of character. The staff were pleasant and accommodating.
We ordered the khatarnak shrimps, short ribs biryani and a chicken curry dish (can't remember the name).
The biryani was delicious, the meat was so tender that even my toddler enjoyed it. The other two dishes were nice too, but I wouldn't order the chicken dish again.
The dessert was a bit of an anti climax. To be fair, the waiter strongly recommended the saffron cake, but we chose to go with the brownie in a melting white chocolate egg. We ended up with a plate full of thick melted chocolate, and had to sieve out bits of brownies and berries to eat. The chocolate sauce was so good, but it would have been amazing with a bigger chunk of brownie and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
We will probably go back again to try some of the other items on their menu.
Extremely good presentation of the food served here, the Nawabi Prawn tastes delicious and so is the Hariyali Biriyani...perhaps the drinks are bit overpriced and not upto the mark otherwise this place would have been 5 star
Food was amazing, especially the shrimp and the babu Doritos salad! I highly recommend you go for a visit 😍
Love the outdoor sitting also inside place is comfortable to sit, friendly environment, taste is so delicious I had enjoy my food and love it
The chicken biryani was the best I’ve had in Dubai - to die for! Super cozy and cute place in the middle of Jumeirah beach road - a fun and friendly place ! Perfect hang out with friends - great staff! Very accommodating /)
I love their food specially the butter chicken! The place is chic and cozy! Highly recommended ❤️
Love the place many options n real taste cozy n cute
Sorry for the delay in posting this review..
Had to try this place before covid restrictions based on the reviews...its quite a small outlet with lovely ambience... both outdoor and indoor seating is available.
Food was tasty... didn't take too much time...and overall a definite must try for those who like to try out new places and cuisines..
Amazing food joint kinda hidden gem , highly recommended for Indian food lovers with twist . We ordered shrimp and biryani , Trust me there shrimps are one of the best in town. Best part its pocket friendly .
I was here one weekend for lunch and enjoyed their starters, yes, only the starters as we did not order a main course. There is so much of a variety that you would end up drooling just looking at the menu. The staff are friendly and the food is good - a little rich and heavy though.
We started the meal with the Doritos Discussion - a chaat fusion with chana masala mint and tamarind chutney, with finely chopped onion and tomato - yes of course there doritos as well and this chaat was excellent.
We called for the indus kebab that were some super soft mince lamb kebabs cooked in a tandoor with cheese inside and out. It was my first time trying Cheese with kebabs and I must say I loved it.
We then tried the Dil Mango More, a pesto marinated chicken with Indian spices stuffed with cheese. These were deep fried and we could not eat them all after the other starters. The taste of pesto chicken with Indian spices was something else.
In love with the vibes, music, interior & ambience
Maybe a small place but the inside speaks volumes and so does this dessert
The presentation was amazing as you can see
And it tasted just as amazing! Was my first time and definitely not my last.
Very unique food, desserts & presentation!
The service was very quick
Staff were super welcoming and sweet
In love with it
Will say it may be tough to find a parking spot on the weekend
Overall 10/10
Lovely spot for lunch . Beautiful out seating and kind staff . Right next to it is desert garden and burgers restaurant too which is owned by one owner. Loved it ❤️
It was our first visit to Babu. My frd took me there for my birthday. The service and the hospitality was amazing. Adding on to the food choices and everything we ate was super delicious. It's a very cozy place with cute decor. Our server juile was so sweet and she clicked great pics for us and arranged a nice happy birthday plate.... We had a great experience and definitely this is a hidden gem!! We will be back soon!! Rgds sarika
Have been twice now and never regret it. Sure was great food yet again and will definitely be back. Thanks for the great friendly service too.
Came here last week with my friends and really enjoyed the food. Most of the food is indian and I was a bit confused why it says Emirati cuisine. However everything we ordered was extremely yummy. I would definitely recommend trying the kito fries and the hell’s chicken. The kito fries even has pasta inside with yummy indian sauces and chips. We also tried the saffron chicken which was pretty good. The portion of the food is quite big but I wish the prices were lower. Overall good experience
We ordered shrimp 🍤 popcorn, biryani and dahi puri and one shake which I don’t remember the name but me and my husband just loved the food and we loved the ambiance as well .
We loved the way they present their food amazing restaurant must try highly recommend 😍
Love love love this place. Ordered their rainbow chaat, tandoori fries and baga litchi drink. Each was a delicacy to the buds. The quantity was enough for two people per dish which justifies the price. The staff was super friendly and nice. Loved their customer service by staff person Julie. The ambiance is great too, very thoughtful and creative. The food presentation was wonderful too. A complete bundle of 5 stars.
المطعم يقع على شارع جميرا .. ومن اسمه تحس انك امام مطعم هندي ... ديكوراته روعه ومتميزه وهنديه بحته ... الاكل عندهم لذيذ جداً والخدمه ممتازه
One the best Indian restaurants I’ve had the pleasure to eat at recently. Perfect location, brilliant ambience and divine food. When Cheetos meet french fries meet mac n cheese, finally topped with the butter chicken sauce: nothing can go wrong! The popcorn jhingras and kito fries were out of this world. Every dish we ordered was an explosion of Indian fusion flavors. A must check out spot in Jumeirah. You will not be disappointed :)
The food is sooo great and rich in taste. Absolutely delicious and mouth watering. We tried all of their best dishes. But overpriced either. It's a cute Cozy retro Indian place where the food is to everyone palette not just for the Indian crowd.
Such a cute retro Indian restaurant. Loved the spin on traditional grilled items such as the 3 idiot tacos. Slightly overpriced, but the food is delicious! You’ll find yourself with many Instagram worthy photos of the experience.
I absolutely love the decor at this place. It is definitely worth the visit the staff are lovely, the presentation of the food is amazing and tastes delicious definitely worth the visit!
Good food. Polite staff. I and my family had a good time. After the order was placed it was served within 15 mins. The ambiance was cool and educational. Truly Indian restaurant ‘Made in Dubai’.
This place is just instagram worthy. Presentation, Taste, Ambience is just superb. I love this place and can't stop raving about it. I would love to open up ur franchise in Melbourne... It's that worth it
This place is super tiny & cozy - we were lucky to find parking close-by AND find a place inside, despite it being a weekday when my friend & I decided to visit. We've had this place bookmarked for a while, so we were quite excited to try it out. We took the Jhinga Popcorn which was quite nice, one of their sliders which was disappointing because it was so small & just a single piece, and the standout dish, the Kito Fries - this is a meal by itself, quite heavy & the quantity is huge, but tasty! Definitely a place to try out for a fusion experience.
'Kito Fries'
Looking for a place that has Indian fusion with great combinations that are rich in flavors? Then the perfect place to visit is @BABU . Kito fries are my personal favourite whenever I vist babu I always order it. These fries include tandoori chicken, fries, potato sticks, pasta, Indian chutney, makhani gravy , cheetos and lotsssss of cheeseeee 😍😍😍 A MUST TRY DISH.

They have really good presentation and they take a very different angle on the dishes, i like the daring approach to taste.
I believe they can add a few more 'unique' dishes to their menu now. What could be interesting is if they did a 'dish of the month' thing, where they could bring a different dish like their Babu fries or something similar.
Honestly, perfect.
Jhinga popcorn - great popcorn shrimps ever, but it is messy, so be careful :p
Beef tenderloin risotto - never thought I'd like a saffron flavored risotto with beef, but I guess there is a first time for everything.
Masala balls stuffed with mushrooms - 100% recommended, with no explanation needed.
Masala fries - does not taste that good, very very strong Masala flavor which affects all the other flavors.
Starting to develop a thing for these modernized fusion Indian restaurants. I absolutely love indian food, and I’ve been seeing many Indian restaurants adding a twist, the likes of Carnival, Farzi Cafe, Rang, and BABU is a great example of those restaurants. Their biryani is an absolute heaven, loved their shrimps a lot and their drinks are so cool and refreshing.
First thing first, must try their fries in bucket with tandoori cheese and cheetos its amazingly pleasing. Good ambiance and perfect chill spot.
A great casual Indian restaurant in Dubai.
Perfect location, great interior and nice outdoor seating.
Food to try which were all so good:
1. Wings ( appetizer)
2. Dal balls
4. Samosa
Food presentation and taste were innovatively amazing.. completely loved my experience. The ambiance was great, and so was the service. Taste buds were celebrating!
Amazing place. North Indian food with a twist. Really enjoyed their sliders and butter chicken. The ambience is excellent. Had a great dinner Will visit again.
What a refreshing place! Although a small joint, the place is done up extremely well and the food is a great fusion of Indian with other cusines.
Drinks
⭐️ Rose Lassi - I love the flavour of rose and would ALWAYS order a rose milkshake if it's on the menu. The rose lassi was as good and did not disappoint!
Starters
⭐️Jhinga popcorn - Crispy, crunchy and saucy. What an amazing dish. The crunchy corn was a great addition!
Mains
⭐️Beef tenderloin risotto - Well cooked beef served with flavorful risotto. Absolute delight!
Overall, great experience! Can't wait to come and try the other stuff.

Amazing cute little place in umm suqeim.
Their lychee drink was very refreshing.
Three different types of tacos were good
Fries were too huge and heavy, and was ok.
Limited options for vegetarian.
The place interior was amazing very creative and very nice combination of colors they have outdoor and indoor tables seating. The food taste is good and the staffs are also nice and accommodating.
It’s a nice small joint for Indian food . I will give full marks for the service and ambience but food is bit on expensive side in comparison to place and taste is above average but not wow. I will definitely recommend a place for one time experience .
very different concept of Indian food I can call it "Indian street food with a twist".. very good and yummy, must try the maharajah saffron Risotto,, its a dish to die for ..
staff need more training ,, they should to have better communication skills to get max customer satisfaction.
It was 2 of us
So ordered keto fries , jhinga & butter chicken bao
Keto fries were really good but very very filling so make sure you go empty stomach (4/5)
Jhinga we didnt like much the person said its spicy though we they were sweet
Prefered the other 2 things more (2/5)
Butter chicken bao was good (4/5)
Overall experience was good
Service was ok
180 aed for 3 dishes
Must try
I liked the service, variety of food selections, the taste is so good but little over priced. Should try it and for sure I will go back to them again.
An awesome restaurant with orgasmic food offered. Everyrhing from the decor to the menu to the presentation to the taste of the food is 💯. Ths is a must visit place. Normally i would write about what you could give a miss to what to have but there is no such item on the menu i wld want u to miss. We must hve ordered hlf the menu amd each item when cme to the table one after the other jus kept on blowing our minds with the flavour until the end we were xctd wth the food we were eating. This is one place you should def gve a try. Fair warning its a small place hence there is a wait period of atleast 45 mins on weekends and thy do not tke reservations on weekends he nce ud hve to wait but tht wait is worth it and u wont b dissapointed instd u shall be rewarded with the amazing food it offers.
BABU is a modern Indian restuarant with unique interiors . I tried out the 3idiots tikka tacos which is three types of tikka served along with mini bread. It was really good and yum.
Ambience: very island-ish vibes.. reminiscent of Goa and Sri Lanka
Food: presentation was excellent, different variety of foods suitable for every taste. I really recommend the salad.
Service: friendly staff with excellent service.
*We need more Bohemian places like this in Dubai.
BABU has various identities in India. The Bengali Babu is different from the govt Babus and then there is a Babu who is the quintessential name of South Indian heros in the 70s and and millions of babies now in their 30s and 40s grew up with a name that seemed to be extinct now. That's when BABU appeared in the culinary scene in Dubai.
The retro name has been given a tasteful retro decor too, pitching the brand a few notches high than any Babu could have imagined to have their name on a restaurant signage.
The wall art is the highlight of the place. From Ghandhi to a Punjabi lorry driver..a plethora of Indian images in garish colours give u a peak of the India BABU throws at you.
This was my first visit and we tired Popcorn Jhinga and Kolkata Chicken. For drinks we tried Rose Lassi.
The food, preparation, presentation and taste is all new. Instagram worthy food. Taste was good too.
The pop corn coated prawns was chewy in a good way. The Kolkotta chicken had a sweet tangy soicy twist. The chicken gave away easily from the bone like a lollipop with a loose head.
The Rose Lassi could have been a bit more thicker.
The place was full and mostly dined by locals. The service was good and fast too, eventhough it was a Friday.
ambiance 4
Food quality 5
Service 5
this was an awesome experience . Indian food with a twist and the music and decor adds almost adds to the flavour . This has to be the best fusion indian restaurant on the juneriah strip . Stop reading reviews and just go 😀

I loved the food , I have tried the shrimp risotto & the chicken masala fries and both are so good ! The only thing that I didn’t like is that there are no enough parking .. also I went there for lunch and the door was opining & closing behind my table so it was very hot
The food had an amazing twist to it! Flavourful and cool to look at! Recommend the fries comboc it was such an adventure to adventure till like 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
Great appetizers, although I wouldn’t recommend it on saturdays, cause it’s usually full, so hard to find a seat unless you will sit outside, although the food is great.
A small restaurant on Jumeirah road wid arnd 8-9 tables inside d restaurent n 3-4 tables outside. Nice and refreshing ambience and good staff. The lighting inside the restaurant is a lil dim but I personally liked it.
Went here for dinner after fiding good reviews on zomato. D food definitely is insta worthy. We were just 2 of us who went here for dinner hence cudnt order too mch food. We dint opt for starters (seemed a lil pricey) and ordered maincourse directly. Butterchicken was nice (a lil sweeter in taste). I felt it had a lil too much food colour in it though. But taste wise it was nice. U may ask for it to b a lil spicy. The jhangezkhan chicken was lik ur normal chicken curry. Nothing fancy but taste was nice. The maincourse comes with 3 pieces of naan. Portion wise it is more than enough for 1 person. 2 maincourse dishes can be sufficrnt for 3 people.
Overall, its a nice place. Do visit in a group of 5-6 pple so u can try out more dishes :)
Nice little place, a small yet good menu.
Kito Fries and Dal Makhni was delicious, must haves.
Desert Rasmalai cake was absolutely rich.
Drinks are really good as well.
Limited options for veg but quite ok
After the much heard reviews on BABU it was impossible not to try it !! It definitely met my expectations 💯 The food was delicious and the presentation was eye catching !! The ambiance, vibe and decor was beyond perfect 😍 A special shout out to the welcoming and friendly staff 💯
Never had heard of this place and a very random plan was made during the eid holidays by my sister. The name got me curious and was wondering what kind of cuisine would it be. Once reached there, was impressed with their interiors, it was very funky and quirky. It has a decent outdoor space and small indoor space. Lucky enough to get a table as it seemed pretty busy and they would not take reservations. For veg there is hardly anything in main course so ordered 4-5 starters between 3 of us. The service was pretty quick and the staff was very friendly. Surly worth a visit and would want them to have more veg main course options for me to visit again.
Had been on weekend order chicken wing was absolutely yumm then order fried okra was also crispy Nicely Coated in batter then we had 3 idiots tikka was also nice but nothing that wow it was regular but overall food was good the staff is. Dey friendly and the best is they are super quick in serving you don’t have to wait for long must try restaurant
