#State88 has a lovely indoor as well outdoor seating. The staff was friendly and their menu (which I felt was a little short) was shown to us on their tabs.
The Biryani Arancini was a dish I had never tried before and was absolutely mesmerized by it. The flavours of biryani wrapped up in a small ball was fab! The Corn Barel was decent too, although a bit over priced. Pasta was topped with tons of cheese, which made it superb!
Fun Fact - Not particularly famous outside of Italy, arancini are big rice balls, some are the size of oranges. In fact, the word arancia means “orange”.
If you have zomato gold, you get 1+1 on Food!😌

Quite place, good for dinner or even just coffee
For me, it's not just food but also the presentation and taste. I and my husband wanted to try something new and found this restaurant located in city walk. Loved the presentation and amazing food to try the ambiance was super cozy and the staff was super friendly ❤👌will definitely try again.

State 88 has a lovely boutique vibe, and is such a great restaurant to dine at. The sweet potato fries we ordered didn't come with mayonnaise, and we requested for a garlic flavored one, which the chef immediately made for us! As we were devouring it, our Pasta Crush in pink sauce was brought out with baked cheese, mushrooms and hot sauce. It was absolutely delicious and satisfying. Little did we know that our experience was only about to peak with the dessert. We loved every bite of the milk cake and it's the best I have had in Dubai! I absolutely recommend this place and with Zomato Gold, we paid only AED 60 for a very happy and full stomach & brilliant dining experience!

Nestled in the beautiful and ever so lively City Walk – State 88 is a cute cafe/restaurant serving a fusion of American & Italian food. We visited State 88 on a lovely Christmas evening. A small place that offers seating both indoor and outdoor. We were attended to by a very friendly staff, who along with the menu card, also placed in front of us a Tablet with pics of every item on the menu. We’ve never experienced this before…
Pleasantly surprised with the desserts there cause I didn’t expect it. We ordered the milk cake - huge portion and fondant. Both were amazing.
We Startrd with the shrimps dynamite and it was truely a... DYNAMITE of taste in the mouth.
The shrimps were cripys and well cooked and coated with a delicious sauce. ❤️
For the mains we got schnitzel bomb, It was layered with a base of fries, chicken breast sauce and colsale, the chicken was average but the plus point was the presentation
Next was the pasta,
The cheese just melted perfectly in the mouth, the pasta were moist and not too dry
This was definitely our chrush are first bite. ❤️
There is always a space for desert and we got saffron milk cake, we are out of words to describe how delicious it was, it was soft, moist, full of favours.

We tried State 88 for dinner and we had the sliders, the schnitzel bomb, the saffron risotto and the dynamite shrimps. The service was impeccable and the food was Wonderful! Every bite packed with amazing flavors! The menu is reasonably priced and by the time we had finished our meal we were planning our next visit. Definitely my new favorite spot in City walk.
Must visit.. thoroughly enjoyed the food! And excellent staff.. smiling throughout! Loved the ambience and overall environment.. Already looking forward to my next visit!
Where did you come from, State 88? I have no idea! This restaurant just slipped under my radar for the longest time. Nestled in City Walk, it's a sparse but funky looking diner with some of the most delicious comfort food I've had in a while. The sliders were great, but the Pasta - we picked Pasta Crush - was pan-scrapeing, fork-licking good! Yes, my waistline might've increased a few inches, courtesy of all that cheesy goodness, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Brilliant cafe style food, good portion and filling..try the shakes it's too good. Pulled beef sandwich was the best. Music and ambience was good too.

Poproc Slushie: Blue cacao drink in slush form with a cute little pan with pop rocks to garnish over. Good taste but a little too sweet once melted (which melts very fast 😋)

I usually order for delivery for lunch during work hours and ive tried the halloumi salad as well as the eggplant one and theyre both sooo good!! Ive also tried the pasta and its one of the yummiest. Should go visit once.

Loved the restaurant.... Very beautiful dishes and menu selection. Fresh salads with beautiful combinations of ingredients. I didn't try their sandwiches however their burgers are amazing... don't miss their mushroom burger... My best dish was the pulled beef with Fries... it's a killer....

This tiny hidden sandwich gem is located in City Walk on the main road.
it is a very straight forward place with really delicious food. Their specialties are the brisket sandwiches i had it with avocado and was really fresh and not heavy as one might imagine. they r sweet potato fries are also very good and healthier than usual as they are oven baked. Service was also great, the waiter James was really a nice surprise. They also deliver on Deliveroo!

I’ve been seeing this place before and have never tried it cause I thought it was a steak house. Last Saturday after our coffee somewhere in City Walk, we’ve decided to drop by to this joint to check what they’re offering.
First thing that amazed me was the simple yet cool industrial interior design of their shop. The area is not that big but I just love the long table with some tiny plants that made the place more lively.
The shop is offering wraps, sandwiches, salads, coffee and milkshakes. I’ve tried the pulled sandwich but for me it wasn’t that special but I would love to try some other food that they have. If you have a big appetite, the food serving is only for one. So I don't think that sharing will be advisable. I also had the nutty milkshake and Nightjar’s cold brew that want to I recommend as well.
Overall, I had a good experience with this place and would love to come back again. Cost of food is worth the price and the staff at that time accommodated us at his best which gives them an additional point.
State88 is a restaurant located at Citywalk serving gourmet sandwiches, and well they do serve it right!
We were greeted by the staff, who helped us through the menu and were very prompt with their service. What We ordered 🍽 -
1)'Liberal' was the one with pulled chicken, smoked garlic aioli, caramelised onions, pickles and lettuce (Aed 25)
2) 'Chicken88' had smoked chicken, avocado, lettuce and mayo 🥑 (Aed 28)
3) Regular fries 🍟 (Aed 15)
4) Orange juice 🍊 (Aed 19)
The combination of ingredients in both the sandwiches complimented each other very well and tasted delish 😍
This place is a must visit for everyone who enjoys a good sandwich, because it leaves both your tummies and pockets satisfied! 😁

Had a quick lunch here today with my family. Wife had the lotus shake and the 88 burger with fries. I had the smoked beef sandwich and the iced tea with jalebi. It was a good light but filling lunch. Did not need to order extra. Will definitely order again soon! :)

My review for State 88 – a cool little restaurant that serves sandwiches, wraps, salads, and interesting beverages.
The gentle lentil salad that I had was the best out of the dishes I ordered. The lentils were perfect and crunchy, and the rest of the salad was fresh tasting.
I found the oh mega wrap to be very small in terms of portion size comparing to other wraps I had at the same price range else where. The sauce was over powering the flavours of the smoked salmon, and as you most of you know, smoked salmon is my favourite thing to eat, so I was sad for the sauce to ruin the flavours. Next time, I will ask for half the sauce. The avocado was fresh and had the perfect colour to it, so not all of the wrap was bad.
Finally, my lotus biscoff milkshake that I had was not too bad. It was not too sweet so that was good, but it was lacking a lot of the lotus biscoff taste. I wished it could have been richer with the beautiful biscoff flavours.
This restaurant deserves a rating of 3.5/5.
I ordered the oh mega wrap for 30DHS, gentle lentil salad for 29DHS, and the lotus biscoff milkshake for 20DHS.
The pricing of the dishes here was excellent for your wallet as everything is cheap.
The service was great from the staff members. Our server was good at explaining the different items and recommending some of his favourites. It was just a shame how he forgot some of my husband’s requests like adding extra cheese to the sandwiches.
The ambience of this restaurant was urban and hip with unique grafitti on the wall representing different meanings. The colours were bright and vibrant, and I enjoyed the “constitutions” of the restaurant. Located in City Walk, this restaurant fits in perfectly.
Great restaurant, it wasn’t too busy on a Friday, didn’t need to reserve a table. My friends and I had their salads which were very delicious. Great vegan options and excellent service. I highly recommend trying it out.

It’s safe to say that they have the best gourmet sandwich options in town and their drinks won’t fail your expectations as well. I tried pulled beef sandwich before and it was fantastic.
Visited this cafe today serving mostly Sandwiches. Tried the “Meat oh meat” sandwich and chocolate lotus fondant.
The sandwich had a good filling and was very moist. Each ingredient had its own unique flavour. I totally loved it.
The lotus fondant was served with Vanilla ice cream and tasted well too but it was the sandwich which took the key points from me.
I was also very impressed by the vibrant and chic interiors of the place and the friendly staff.
Would I visit again? Yes, to try some new sandwich.

One word: TASTY!
I was amazed by the variety of food selection that State 88 has. From Chicken, to Beef, Seafood, Vegetarian, they have almost everything that you know you can always bring that picky friend and you will have no problem.
All of their sandwiches are priced a la carte (except for the burger) so if you think that it’s cheap, it’s not. Especially if you consider that their sandwiches are small.
My Mom had the Rebel from the Chicken Inn, R, the Tender Me from the Meat District, and of course for the burger lover like me, I had to try the only burger item on the menu which is Burger 88.
I’m giving State 88 a four ‘cuz even though the size isn’t that big, the taste is straight up delicious and that is the most important part for me.
Searching for a new place to have a bite, we came across to this restaurant serving mostly sandwiches. Their location is good, just a few meters walk from the parking and directly facing the road. They have an outdoor seating too, and lovely decors inside the restaurant.
Based on the recommendation of the staff, we went to order the Chicken 88, Checkpoint 88, Chikita and Classic Fries. The sandwiches are good, freshly made and new to our taste buds, the fries is like any regular fries. The prices are decent enough, and the staff is very warm - always checking if we are ok.
Just a note and advice: please have some sauces available. There are people like us who like to have side sauces to add to our sandwiches. And, always ask the customers who are dining during the night especially near the closing time if they have any last order.
Overall it's a nice experience.
Great ambiance and food. Sandwiches are different and unique with quality fresh meat. Selection of drinks are great. Some very innovative chai, latte and coffee combination varieties. Good prices as well, would surely recommend. The owner Hayssam too was a good host and very welcoming.
In sandwiches we trust.... oh truly, a place which is well lit and positive and friendly people.

City Walk is a lovely place with medium to very expensive restaurants but this is more towards the more affordable side. We ordered the Checkpoint 88, Brisket 88, Sweet Potato Fries, Beetroot Orange Juice & The Nut For You Shake.
The Mains - Brisket 88
The meat has been smoked for over 12 hours, so if you really like to feel the meat. This is the way to go. The entire thing is very refreshing, light enjoyable. The flavors are not too over powering but the Restaurant Manager recommended us to sprinkle some Red Chilli Powder which is definitely recommended if you want a bit more spice. The bun itself isn't your usual samoon but instead they use a potato bun which has a slight sweet taste to it. Overall the Brisket 88 is a very balanced dish which you are bound to enjoy.
The Sweet Potato Fries (Baked)
We took the fries the healthiest they could probably be, the fries were crispy, sweet but not too much and it keeps you wanting for more. The condiments are welcome as well which go well with the side.
The Beetroot Orange
The fresh juice drink I ordered was actually true as to what they stated which was "Fresh" which surprised me because in a lot of places you don't actually get that, Either way the beet root and orange are your perfect sweet and sour combo. It's a good drink to have once you've had the mains.
The Service and Ambience
The decor of this place is definitely right up there with the high class restaurants. It has a very cosy feel to it and you can genuinely tell that a lot of thought has been put into getting this place together.
The staff over here are extremely friendly, efficient and kind. The Restaurant Manager, who's name I couldn't catch was very nice to us and sort of briefly explained the process behind the mains.
Overall
This is definitely a place which you should visit if you want to keep things clean but not too clean. Also it's decently affordable when compared to the other offerings in City Walk. A second visit? Most certainly!
This amazing sandwich place is another one of the many gems located at City Walk! An interesting mix of sandwiches at economical prices. Me and my friend tried their Checkpoint 88 and Chickita, both of which were absolutely delicious. Super cool interiors and friendly & helpful staff. Can't wait to come back to try more food.

Yes! I'm giving this place a solid 5.0 and here's why:
State 88 is a sandwich place, a very good one! Of all the variety Dubai offers, it's still hard to find a simple, delicious sandwich.
Located in the old part of City Walk, the restaurant has rustic wood tables with colourful metal chairs outside. Step inside and feel a hint of Americana with lively music coming through the speakers.
I always start with a salad here and have yet to try one that I didn't love. If you want a textured take on tabbouleh, try the 'chick freek'. The 'gentle lentil' is a legume based crunchy pile of goodness spiked with some flax seeds. For a more substantial one try the 'Feng shui' which has chicken, pomelo and a peanut dressing. The 'chicado' is very addictive with tender chicken and avocado, a winning combo! I haven't tried the crab salad yet but I'm sure I'll get to it by next week.
Before we get to the mains, I have to comment on the 'nitro iced tea' - it's a genius creation with a local flavour of dates and molasses.
If you like chicken try the 'liberal' or the 'chicken 88' - both great choices! For meat lovers try the 'brisket 88' - a combo of smoked shredded beef brisket, savoury sun dried tomato aioli and sweet, creamy roasted peppers. My personal favourite is the 'street 88' - tender juicy pulled beef, sweet grilled onions, herby parsley, silky smoked eggplant flesh and tangy pomegranate molasses on top. This sandwich won me over.
There's also something special for the veggie crowd! The 'veggie cool' sandwich give you meaty eggplant, sweet roasted peppers and chickpeas, all topped with sun-dried tomato aioli in a soft pillowy bun.
The fries are delicious and so are the shakes (try the lotus!!) Love the service here and I support this restaurant for offering something unique that makes me want to go back every so often!
Lovely place with a decent menu. We ordered for the Chicken 88 which was good to the palate, the chicken was tender and juicy and the red velvet cheesecake which was toothsome.
Nice little sandwich place on the inside of city walk. We tried 3 different ones: Meat oh Meat, Slaw you first and the Rebel. All 3 were of a good size. Not super filling. Would suggest this as a light meal if not opting for any sides. Service was quick and staff were friendly. Comes with some pickled vegetables, which we found really addicting. It had the perfect amount of tangy-ness and sweet.
Gone there once and become fan of State 88. Serving my favourite beef in different style of sandwiches. Very few restaurants in UAE that's serves slow cooked shredded beaf and briskets but State 88 is the best. I still believe the bread could be better and if they could include the melting cheese on their sandwiches then no one can beat them. Prices are reasonable and I love the location.

At State 88, they take their sandwiches to a whole new level, full of unique flavours and ingredients used. The fact that they use pulled Beef in their sandwiches is very well thought of, as pulled Beef(or any meat in general) conveys intense flavours. Surely, one bite ain't enough!
Here's what we ordered:
'Meat Oh Meat' - Pulled Beef Sandwich lathered with their delicious Black Bean Sauce, Caramelised Mushrooms and their tangy Spring Onion Salsa. Just too good!
'Street 88' - Pulled Beef with Eggplant, sweetness emanating from the Caramelised Onions and finally the winner, it's topped with Pomegranate Molasses which gives that perfect kick of slight sourness. I loved this one, because I have never had sandwiches paired with Eggplant and Molasses, it was super rich and creamy!
'Lotus Milkshake' - No excuses needed when there's Lotus involved. This milkshake had hints of coconut in it, I was surprised by this yummy combination and it definitely gave off those beachy vibes. Simply perfect!
And each dish is paired with their signature Pickle, which is delicious. Has that sweet-savoury and a dash of Arabic Pickle taste to it.
An absolutely relaxing place to be in. I love how their rustic decor is well incorporated into something modern. Perfect for a quick bite and unwinding. The staff are very courteous and friendly, always keen on engaging and gaining feedback. This eatery is highly recommended!
Amazing food. The Crab Me salad is amazing and the sweet potato fries are to die for. I went there with a friend for lunch and was surprised at the quality of food and the generous portions! Also very reasonable prices.
The place has some great interiors and gorgeous tables. I had the Oh Mega wrap - smoked salmon with avocado. Would definitely recommend a trip to State88. It’s got such a nice vibe, top notch hygiene, reasonably priced and tasty food, easy access to parking and fast wifi!
PS - The nitro brew coffee is every coffee addict’s dream come true. It’s a really nice blend and strength and not at all bitter.

City Walk welcomes yet another great restaurant in its community; and this time, the restaurant won't actually empty your pockets! A restaurant IN CITY WALK that is actually NOT expensive?! YUP! Dreams do come true indeed!
State 88's prices range from 10dhs to 35dhs! Super reasonable! Ofcorse, the portions are not huge (but it's worth it considering the amount youre paying) and overall, I think the management at State 88 hit the nail on the head when they opted for lower prices, smaller portions rather than higher prices and portions nobody will finish. This way, you can have satisfy your hunger, regardless of how hungry you are! Ordering more or less depending on your hunger. Plus, it's a big advantage if you're super hungry because you get to try more than one flavor, and for someone like me, who likes to try anything and everything, this system pleased me very much!
Their menu consists of different types of sandwiches, they've even got a few vegetarian options, and even though I'm a huge meat-lover, I fell head over heals with their vegetarian sandwich; Veggie Cool! It's a twist on a well known Lebanese dish, but they transformed it and made it more modern and easier (and less messier!) to eat! It consists of roasted peppers, smoked eggplant and chickpeas, with sun-dried tomato aioli. I recommend everyone to try this sandwich, regardless if you're vegetarian or not!
Not only are their sandwiches delicious, they've got an interesting dessert too. Their Oud Smoked Cheesecake is nothing like I've ever tried before! The taste of the oud is a strong aftertaste which will take you by surprise. I'm not sure if you will love it, but either way, I still recommend you try it just because of it's uniqueness!
State 88 also introduced Dubai to it's very first Nitro Ice Tea and Nitro Cold Brew. I had a great time going behind the bar and making it myself. I admit, it's not exactly challenging to make (I just had to pull down the handle) but still, I felt like a pretty cool bartender. I tried both the Ice Tea and the Cold Brew. They're both quite bitter, so if you're into sweet drinks, this is not for you. Nevertheless, it's something new to Dubai and I cant deny them that.
The interiors of State 88 are also beautiful! They're simple, humble and welcoming. I loved that everything was customized to the State 88 brand, from their tables, to their chairs, and ofcorse, their plates too. It makes it so appealing to those who like to take pictures of their food (like me!).
Overall, I am a fan of State 88. I like it when restaurants just stay restaurants. Nothing fancy. Straight to the point of simple ol' good food! That's what I look for most of the time and that is exactly what State 88 offers.
State 88 – Every time City Walk surprises us with new restaurants. Recently I tried state 88 which is nestled in the array of beautiful infrastructure of City Walk. This newly open joint has all the reason for you to come and enjoy innovative dishes and menu along with kickass coffees. Bravo to the owners and interior team for such detailed work done with décor. Personalized coffee mugs, blue, grey and pastel color tones with wooden furniture gives very cozy and homely feel to the ambiance for winters you can enjoy outdoor seating. Staff is very friendly.
Absolutely love this restaurant. The food tastes great and the presentation is fantastic. The bread is so soft, it's generously filled, and very flavorful.

With State 88 trending all over social media, I couldn’t help but drop by there when I was in City Walk. The restaurant is a cute little joint with some lovely décor, and the most polite welcoming staff. We opted for the following –
Chickita- I loved this sandwich! It was loaded with a generous amount of chicken and other condiments, but it was a tad bit dry. Had it been for a little more sauces, it would have been just perfect.
Liberal - This chicken sandwich was really good as well, and full of flavor. The caramelized onions were a bit too strong, but wasn’t a problem to my tastebuds.
Slaw You First - This sandwich was full of juicy pulled beef and I loved the combination with the slaw.
Veggie Cool - this was pretty much a normal sandwich that my vegetarian friend had, and it tasted good, nothing out of the ordinary.
Fries 88 - these fries were crunchy and had a nice coating of mild spices, they were not oily and were really tasty.
Lotus Milkshake - I LOVED this one. My friends thought it was too sweet, but my sweet tooth thought it was just perfect and deliciously creamy.
Red Velvet Cheesecake - I loved how there were swirls of red velvet cake within the cream cheese, so you get a little bit of both in every spoonful. The cake wasn’t overly sweet, and even thought it wasn’t the best I’ve had, I liked it a lot.
Our lovely server was kind enough to offer us the Nitro Iced Tea and Nitro Cold Brew Sundried Orange drinks to try them out. I liked both a lot, the coffee more than the tea, and they tasted really different.
The portion sizes are not too big though, and if you’re really hungry, you might probably need two sandwiches to fill you up. The service here is decent and the people are really polite. PS, they also accept the Entertainer voucher, which is an added advantage.

I found this food just mouth watering. The flavours were beautiful. Cooked to perfection. We had a variety of dishes and all wete fantastic.
Menu was adjusted to suit our choices and the service was excellent. Staff were very friendly. Vietnamese food was very authentic.

Came across this newly opened food place..tried the veggie cool sandwich with extra mushrooms ! It was one of the yummiest one I've tasted in this town! I tried the smoked cheesecake which was a different and unique one on the menu. Good combination however the smoke was a bit too much for my taste. Overall a good experience!
I love it , lots of options for salads and sandwiches .overall food is fresh , healthy and tasty, nice decoration concept , yum yum sandwiches and yummy shakes ! I tried the burger very light and tasty . Would come back and recommend it to my friends 👍

Okay, I tried State 88 for delivery once. Their portions are WAY TOO SMALL!!!!! They should either advertise them as mini sandwiches or increase their prices and portions. The sandwich itself was good though, I tried their Chickita sandwich, my only comment is that it is a bit on the dry side. Fries and portion of fries was okay. They have an interesting menu so would check them out another time but definitely order more than 1 sandwich.
City Walk in Dubai is home to some of the amazing eateries in town. State 88, a new American Cafe that specializes in sandwiches has opened recently and last evening, I visited them to grab a quick bite. And I must say, Its a great new addition to the restaurant/cafe scene in City Walk. Conveniently located at the start of City Walk, State 88 is a cafe that will draw your attention with its funky and chic decor. It reminded me of the industrial-inspired eateries of the cool meat-packing district of New York.

An attractive little sandwich shop that has quite the variety of tasty little sandwiches, salads and drinks in their menu. The ambience of the place with the unique interior makes the place so inviting for anyone crossing by. The staff is very friendly and service with a smile, if you're having trouble deciding which one of their amazing sandwiches you want to have, just ask them for a recommendation.
We had the liberal and the check point 88 for the sandwiches. For sides we had the fries 88 and sweet potato fries. For the drinks, we got the nitrogen Ice tea and lemonade. The sandwiches were so delectable, The meat was so tender and flavorful it was practically melting in your mouth. The sweet potato fries were something unique, if you're into a little sweeter fries then that's a must have. The real show stopper is the nitrogen ice tea, such a unique concept and tastes so good you will definitely come back for more. For dessert, we got the lotus milkshake and smoked cheesecake. The cheesecake was very smooth with a smoky flavor to every bite. A really great and unusual taste but great for people who love the flavor of smoke.
Overall, I am very impressed with the delicious sandwiches they serve along with their unique additional items such as the nitrogen ice tea and smoked cheesecake. The portion sizes are only good enough for one, but it's a must try.

Tried this place 2 weeks ago at midnight, when there were few restaurants were still serving food and I was amazed by their sandwiches.
As a dietitian tried to minimize the damage by ordering the healthiest option so I tired the smoked turkey and smoked meat sandwich which were beyond amazing (contained a fair amount of mayonnaise..) .

State 88 specialized in sandwiches,salads & shakes recently opened its doors in citywalk 1.
The ambience of this joint was industrial with graffiti on walls.It was quite bright and cool.The service was fantastic and staff were extremely helpful.
Moving on to food,I ordered the following from the menu.
Feng Shui Salad,A combination of Pomelo,chicken,green papaya,tomatoes & coriander with a light peanut dressing.It deserves 3/5

I dropped by State 88 post a sundown visit to the Nikki Beach one Thursday. The quirky interiors and the gorgeous table with succulents on them grabbed my attention.
The food here was mediocre. We tried the Slaw you first, Meat Oh Meat, Fries 88, Lotus shake and Smoked Cheesecake.
The potato buns used tasted good but I must admit I'm not very partial to the smell of it. The 'wiches lacked an, for a lack of better words, oomph. It appeared small but was rather filling, and left us with enough room to split an order fries and indulge our sweet teeth.
The Fries 88 had an Indian vibe to it; their special seasoning reminded me strongly of Garam masala, but hey, you can rarely ever go wrong with seasoned fries.
The lotus shake was thick but a little grainy. I was rather excited to try the smoked cheesecake. It sounded a little daunting but intriguing all the same. I am definitely not going to order this from another menu ever again. The cheesecake itself was probably great before the infusion of the smokiness. No amount of caramel dousing could salvage this for me.
❤️❤️❤️ What set State 88 apart was the OUTSTANDING service. It's been a few days since my visit and I still feel warm when I reflect on the service. They were the nicest bunch -smiling, happy, kind, helpful and eager to help with their suggestions. We were given samples of their newly in Nitro tea and coffee as well as their ice creams. The Nitro tea is quite nice if you're into fruity iced teas.
State 88 is a happy place with potential. It thrives on factors that most other places fall short of. I hope the food game is stepped up a little because I definitely would like to be treated with such great service time and again.

This quirky new cafe in Citywalk 1 serves an interesting menu which includes sandwiches, salads, wraps and some more breakfast items and beverages. I was here for a quick bite at lunch hours – the interiors are done well according to a perfect chill out spot! The place offers a concept of Nitro Ice Tea which is the first ever in UAE as well as in GCC.

I had the 'Slaw beef, it was full of flavor and actually not too heavy on the stomach,
So was the Mayo chciken (I think?) Just really good home-madey-stuff. It's nice in the belly and good for the soul from time to time,
Also they have their Nitrogen infused Tea, which really took me by surprise
Anyway a really nice dinner all-in-all without spending a fortune and enjoying yourself.
Food was great, really nice unique idea, very tasty made with high quality ingredients. Decor and atmosphere is also brilliant. Totally recommend and will be back soon.

WOW the most wonderful gourmet but affordable sandwiches in Dubai! I am in love with the 12 hour cooked beef. Their monster milkshakes are perfection and a must try (go hungry TRUST ME!!)

Dubai is a city where things can change overnight. There can be a new restaurant, new road or a new car launch in the city which then becomes the talk of the town. . There is a new eatery in city called State 88. They have a new concept of cooking meat which was initiated by two brothers. It is the only restaurant in Dubai and planning to expand further. It has complete new design and fresh environment. They serve one of the best sandwiches that we can trust on completely. Their secret weapon being they smoke their meat in house. Meat is being slow cooked for 12 hours and is served with salads tossed in delightful vinaigrette. The food is very healthy as it is only grilled, roasted, baked and not fried. We were glad to be invited and we had a great experience.
State 88 is one of the absolute best places around town to get some mouthwateringly delicious pulled beef sandwiches. I had tried the meat oh meat and the patron. They were both delicious due to them being very rich in flavor and tickling all of my taste buds. I would highly recommend eating their sandwiches as they will most definitely not disappoint. The next thing I tried was their famous Fries 88 which seemed so delicious I could seem to resist their charm. I tried two of their shakes the Lotus & the Nut about you. Let me tell you that these shakes were beyond impressive. With every sip I took it felt a little like heaven in my mouth.
Highly recommend visiting here as they have a very cozy ambiance and sufficient amount of parking.
This cute little chic place has really become one of my favorites lately . Been here on a week day , The speciality of this place is the beef and chicken are slow cooked for 4-8 hours which makes it super tender and delicious .Greeted by the lovely staff we started our bites as per suggestion from Ms Jena who served us .

First trip to State88 today and was really impressed! The decor has got a great industrial vibe and feels straight out of NYC.
The Nitro Cold Brew coffee is every coffee addicts dream come true. It's a really nice blend and strength and not at all bitter.
The smoked brisket was really tasty. Smokey flavour was spot on and did not overpower the beef. Pulled Beef was fantastic and even better paired with the red cabbage slaw. We tried the sweet potato fries and Fries 88 which are coated in a spice blend made in house. Both were excellent.
Couldn't resist the red velvet cheesecake to finish and was not disappointed. It was the perfect end to a great meal.
Would definitely recommend a trip to State88. It's got such a nice vibe, reasonably priced and best of all the food is clean and tasty. Will definitely be back!

"Make this Bite count" Well I made every bite count and I dint want my bites to end. The strong aroma of the juicy pulled beef was highly enticing and accompanied with spring onion salsa (BEST) it was like nothing I had ever tasted before. Interesting flavors from the beef, salsa and mushrooms inside a moist potato bread (yes the dough is kneaded with potato...YUM) yes, this sandwich melted in my mouth!! Excellent pulled beef sandwiches served here, one of the best in DXB. Defiantly heading back to State 88 pretty soon!
A refreshing hazelnut based Milkshake mixed with hazelnut crazy paste and drumroll* Vanilla ice cream, a match made to make us fall in love instantly! My milkshake was thick and creamy, I enjoyed the fact that it was not overly sweet but well balanced with a burst of that hazelnut flavor topped with whipped cream.

Every new kid in the block seems to push the bar a notch up in order to attract the consumers because with so many options its no more an easy job to make your name in the market with ordinary food and presentation.

This new gem in City Walk pleasantly surprised me with its absolutely fresh food and delicious menu. I just loved the concept of this being a State by itself having its own laws and rules (which you can see on their walls) which all the dishes on the menu abide by. The staff are efficient and friendly, the service is great and the pricing is unbelievably affordable.
It's only the soft launch of this place and there is nothing about which you can complain. Their food is baked, grilled or slow cooked which makes it absolutely delish and healthy. The shakes are amazing with the right combinations minus all the freak making them just perfect.
We were recommended the Gentle Lentil salad to start with and this is a sure not to miss when here. It is a meal by itself and irresistible. Red chilli powder is served on the side and with this the taste only gets better ! We had the Sweet potato fries which were baked and again too too good to resist that they were polished it off in no time.
In the drinks we tried a Carrot-Orange fresh juice and the Waferer Milkshake. The juice was freshly prepared and was refreshing. The milkshake is killer and we were sipping on it even when it was finished to avoid calling for another one. For all those health conscious people, this is a sin you would like to commit - vanilla ice-cream mixed with wafer and chocolate paste, this was is definitely a cheat meal anytime.
In the sandwiches we tried the Slaw You First from the meat selection and the Chicken 88 and we loved them. The pulled beef in the Slaw Your First sandwich is slow cooked and with the red cabbage and smoked mozzarella served in potato bread, this one was great. The cheese over powers the taste of beef however if you are a cheese lover then this one is definitely for you.
The Chicken 88 was just what I wanted to eat. Perfectly smoked chicken with avocado, tomato, lettuce and mayo again served in potato bread, it was perfect !
We skipped the desserts and tried the nitro coffee and tea. This is the next big thing in town and for sure the future accompaniment to every meal ! You definitely need to acquire a taste for these though.

I was invited by @whitelabelme to try their amazing menu. After interacting with the very polite and enthusiastic staff , they explained to us that @ state88 their secret weapon is smoking their meet in house meaning they slowly cook their chicken and beef for 12 hours to perfection before being served .
Their menu is very simple which I really loved offering range of street eats like sandwiches, sides , salads .
Let me tell you their quote on the wall really sticks to their ambience and food " Make every bite count".
To start with we had Chic frik salad which is a very healthy but was very plain. I think some added flavour can add to the final taste.
We had 4 different sandwiches to taste liberal, chicken 88, Meat Oh Meat and Oh Crab. Since I'm a chicken lover I tried both liberal and Chicken 88. The sandwiches here are very healthy. Soft tender chicken with caramelised onions. The best part I noticed about these sandwiches is that they keep it true the original taste, unlike other eateries where the sandwhich taste is hijacked by mayo and so many unnecessary toppings. My friend tried the Meat Oh Meat and Oh Crab. She loved the meat oh meat because of the juicy meat favour. We had fries 88 as sides and it was very crispy and a special masala on it which I loved!!
I noticed one thing everything on their menu with the dishes with 88 stands out so guys if u are heading there please try all their dishes with 88.
In milkshake category we went with lotus and nut about you. Very well made and presented. In love with their milkshakes.
For desert we wanted to try out smokey cheescake but unfortunately it wasn't available.
I really loved their new concept of liquid nitrogen infused in their ice tea and brew coffee which I totally loved.

Very cool place and interiors. There is an outdoor too but unfortunately the weather is not suitable during the summer.
Staff are welcoming professional and cheerful.
The concept is kind of unique as the use the noodles for breading the fillets, and appetizers.
Great experience and great food. We were a group and tried different items which non of them was a failure ... super good food
We went in the day time and steamy summer, but will definitely come back again in all seasons :)

I met with bunch of my frens here and were we going crazy laughing out loud etc and none of the employees there had a frown or angry face
Really well trained and sweet people.
