Poor atmosphere , little variety of food , over priced and the most important , tasteless !!! تجربتي في مطعم صبحي كابر بدبي ، كانت تجربة ممتازة لأكل مصري أصلي ، خدمة الويترز ممتازة ، كانوا بشوشين و بيستجيبوا بسرعة لطلبات الزبون ، أما بالنسبة للأكل فجربت الملوخية ، طعمها كان متميز لكن في نفس الوقت هيه بين العادي و الجيد جدا لكن لو أنت من محبي الملوخية يفضل أنك تجربها ، طعم الخضرة فيها باين و تحس أنها فرش ، و طبق المحشي كان فيه ورق عنب و اثنين باذنجان و اثنين كوسا ، كان حجمه متوسط و سعره كويس، تسويه الرز والخضرة كويسة جدا ، و الرز نكهته مبهر مضبوط جدا و حلو ،لكن تظل أطباق اللحمة هي المتميزة و الأفضل. الحواوشي ممتاز اللحمة نكهتها و تسويتها حلوة و الخبز كمان ، الممبار حلو و خطته مضبوطة ،الكفته بالنسبة لي كانت المفضلة ، نكهتها و تسويتها و نوعها عشرة على عشرة ، و ده الطبق اللي أرشحه بقوة على أنه المفضل عندي مع أني مش من محبين اللحوم ،حبيت الطبق و أقنعني لأنه المطعم بيستخدم لحمة ذات جوده عالية . و جبنا طبق كوارع هو شوربة ، و مدحوه جدا ، ..أنا سعدت جدا بتجربة مطعم مصري متميز و ذو جوده عالية ، متتنة لحسن الضيافة و الاستقبال

I visited today sobhy kaber and I wanna say because if there food I went to Egypt and come back, it was delicious and everything was perfect, we ordered kofta and lamb ribs and liver and fattah and molkhia and mombar and kawar3 soap, really everything was amazing and the service was really excellent and fast and the manager mr Wael was very welcoming and Mahmoud 3aryan and everyone in the stuff. The food was okay , service was a bit slow, molokhya was not that great and below expectations (may be i have raised mine) but kofta was real Egyptian taste which almost compensated for the rest . They definetly can improve if the paid more attention to details .

One of the best places in Dubai for an overall great egyptian food and good service. Firstly, it’s the warmest and so genuine hospitality deep from their hearts. So genuine which every one of them really concerned and enquired how good we liked the food. The food is so fresh and tasty. Excellent flavor of the meats and the very very special Molokhia excelled the experience. We were in during the closing time. Even then, all the staffs made us feel so much at home and never rushed anything. So brotherly considerations. Food is so affordable. And I must say their genuine hospitality is something which most other restaurants in Dubai should learn from. Ambience and location is also good which you can bring your corporate guests also along. And great value for money. Will visit again.

Sobhy caber since 1996 in Egypt is one of the landmarks of the grills and kebab food in Cairo People are traveling long distances to have their meal and most probably waiting for queues It is finally opened here in Dubai in a very genuine place (Jumeirah Street) close to Burj Al Arab It is mostly crowded at weekend but you will have a very good traditional egyptian meals excellent experience.

They became very famous in Cairo over the recent past, and when they opened in Dubai, we decided to try their food. Even though we are based in Abu Dhabi, we went all the way to try them, and it was all worth it. Any Kebab and kofta (supposedly Egyptian) you eat in UAE is less Egyptian, and more like Lebanesse in my opinion, except in Sobhy Kaber! Molokhiya is extremely good. Hawawshi was one of the best. Service is great. It is easy to start at a high standard, but it is difficult to keep up that standard of good service and food quality. I hope they keep working on it. A suggestion to the MGT, consider opening in Abu Dhabi, there is a big Arab and Egyptian community over here.

When I visited for the first time I ordered same dishes I used to order in Egypt and although there is a difference in the meat quality "better in Egypt" but the food taste is the best in dubai till the moment. If any one wants to have a real traditional Egyptian food I highly recommend Kaber Sobhy with no hesitation. I believe prices could be better in some dishes but in general I see prices are not the worst.

The place to go for an ultimate Egyptian food experience. The grills are above average, the akawi tajin was perfectly cooked. We also tried their special molkhia, they served it in an amazing way. The mombar’s rice was a bit dry and the hawashi sandwich was a bit oily, but the overall experience was good.

I was looking forward to try this place especially that I didn’t get a chance to try their main branch in egypt... food was good, service... they were not really focused! Their famous molokheya was very nice and fresh! Kebab and kofta were not what I expected ! ... marination was weak... not to mention that we got the salad/ starter platter without bread!

We have been waiting to try this restaurant, Sobhy Kaber is a famous name in Egypt, but my visit was not as expected. As a summary, too long waiting to set, too long waiting to have food, food is not on the expected level of quality, in addition to the high prices comparing to the same restaurants. Bottom line, this restaurant needs some enhancements to be good. I have removed 1 star for the waiting, 1 star for the food quality and 1 star for the high prices, don't think I will visit again soon, hopping that my next visit will be better than this one. The first problem that we faced was the waiting, we wait for about 90 Minutes before having a table, fair to mention that we were 3 families with 6 adults and 7 kids. After waiting for such a long time, hoping that we will have the good food we dreaming with, we ordered, and again we were waiting for about 50 minutes before the food comes. My family and I ordered 5 main courses, and my rating is only for those orders. First we started with Qawar3 soup, it was nice taste. then we had 4 main courses 1- Grilles Kofta and it was very good 2- Hawawshi, the taste was ok, a little chilly, but still nice. 3- Molokhya, and it was a good one. 4- Onion tageen, it is onion, vegetables and meet, the meat was very bad, like cheep kind, we couldn't eat it. 5- Hamam mahshi, and it was the worst I have tried ever. All food came hot, and that is a good point, Staff was very helpful and nice. This place could be good, but it needs some enhancement, i think they have to have a bigger kitchen, more staff and to be more organized.

Excellent quality of food. This is a real Kebab and Kofta that they are serving. It is the Go to place if you are looking for the real grilled meat and Shish Tawook. It is for sure much better than anything you have tasted here in Dubai. don't miss it by any means and try the egyptian specialities as well. The brown bread is not only healthy but it is fresh and can make you eat their Tehina (similar to Hommous). I use Talabat for home delivery or just go to pick up the items I want after calling the restaurant. A definite add to the chain of restaurants in Dubai. This is a highly reconditioned place.

The newest Egyptian cuisine in town. The food is something else, it’s the perfect spot for grabbing an authentic Egyptian bite. My friend and I dropped by for a quick visit We have tried the Kofta Platter, Alexandrian Liver, Baba Ganoush (which is a must try from the appetizers menu) I am definitely going back again for another try, as the menu is full of yummy and scrumptious Egyptian food items.

This is a good Place to eat Molokhia, and I gave an extra star just for the scarcity of places that offers original tasty Molokhia in Dubai. We ordered Family Mix Grill Meal for 4 persons. Marination was very good, beef was finely grilled, and the portion was very satisfying. Mumbar was ok, tasted good but nothing special. Molokhia was very good, fresh, and hot with the beautiful (Ta'leya) on the top. It tasted even better with the fresh Baladi Bread. Sambousak was good. Soup and complimentary salads were just ok, nothing to mention. The place is neat and clean, and the interior surprisingly was well planned and not as disordered as many Egyptian restaurants. Service was good. Prices are a bit steep.

I heard many things about the legacy of Sobhy Kaber from my Egyptian friends .. So I went there for our friday late lunch. The restaurant was super busy, and its located in Jumairah road, very easy parking spots around the building. Luckily we found a table for four. We ordered the following: - Tarb 3/5 - Kebda with Leyyah 4/5 (recommendation: add lemon 🍋 ) - Tajen Bamye (Okra) 10/5 (Amazing, the meat inside the Tajen was cooked perfectly) - War2et lahm 4/5 (Nothing special, meat with some veg) - Mahashi 1/5 - Mumbar 2/5 I expected better Mumbar, as I tried better before. The rice was hard inside, and i didnt taste the meat flavors. - Cheese sambosak 4/5 , Its hard to go bad on this one. - Rocca Salad it was good. Service, we waited around 30 mins to get our food, I believe because it was busy time and The Kitchen will be quite loaded. the staff were really nice and helpful! Price were affordable, not expensive. We paid for all of this with 4 soft drinks 320 AED I will come back to try more Tajens as I loved the Okra ones, so I want to try the rest. I will stay away from the Torb, Mumbar and the Mahashi.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, but the food was a disappointment, the grilled chicken wasn’t cooked properly! Molokheya was tasteless as well as Mahshi and no bread basket came on the table.. It is pricey for the food quality, portions and compared to other Egyptian restaurants.

I had dinner here before I eat at the original restaurant in Cairo, and there’s a lot of difference in the food taste and quality... grilled chicken though was very nice but waiter kept arguing with me that it is boneless while I already asked before I ordered if chicken is boneless or with bones and he assured me it was boneless but we were served a normal half chicken with bones. Molokheya had no taste and was served cold the first time we had to return it. Hawawshi was loaded with lamb fat chunks (Leyya) which gave it an unpleasant taste and I had to throw it. Mumbar was dry and tasteless. Bamya was very hard and hairy and not as soft as it should be, also beef chunks not the bamya was not cut properly and not even close to the beef I had in the Cairo original branch. To be honest I was disappointed that a big name is not mastering the menu or maintaining the reputation they created. And service team need to stop starting at customer and gossiping.

In egypt for long time i used to go to eat in sobhy restaurant the old and the new and last week i visited his Dubai branch i ordered bamia take away it it was like water impossible that clocked by Egyptian staff was making joke about lady asked for rice with bamia and i involved and say but this normal all Egyptian vegetables come with rice and i had to order again rice the price become double of other restaurant with very bad quality and service

Food is really good. We tried the soup. Kaware soup & Sobhy Kaber’s secret soup both were really nice although they may better cut Kaware into smaller pieces. Molokheya is a real hit. Their mezza platter is nice & refillable. Mix grill was good. Maybe Laban is slightly not tender but overall the plate is good & very good value for money. The decor is nice “although the place was really crowded & noisy. The staff are also decent & nice & the food arrive quickly. I gave them a moderate rating cause service is really bad; they brought the lemon after we finished the soup. Brought the soup before the spoons. We had to remind them that we ordered 2 molokheya dishes not 1. We had to remind them to bring us the bread. They brought 3 glasses for water although we were 4, etc... I would give them a 2nd chance though cause I got to know that they have been open for only 10 days

Starting from the very poor menu to the missing food items on the menu itself the the total experience was very bad from my opinion. There is no meals option the food as well all the items are over priced. Talking about the taste and quality of food, it was average and less than average in some cases. I will as disappointed to see such big name to has that bad start and not willing to repeat the same experience.

On the entrance, the waitress asked me to leave because they ran out of food and there was no place to sit, i tried talking to anyone else but they would give me no attention at all because all of them were giving all the attention to a guy who stopped in a Ferari asking about food, so i left and went to Dar el Qamar restaurant in Marina and had the best Egyptian food in Dubai.

After seeing all these bad reviews my family and I still decided to give the Sobhy Kaber a try. As soon as we entered the waiting area was small but we only waited for approximately 5 minutes, this was something we were worried about since I’ve seen reviews claiming to wait for an hour or more. As soon as we sat down we ordered shish tawouk, molokhya, tarb, kabab and reyash and they were actually delicious! The service was also really nice as we had servers coming and asking us if everything was okay. I really would recommend this place!

The location is the only good thing! Overpriced menu & arrogant staff!! The reputation they carried forward from Egypt has been totally ruined by the lack of professionalism. Don't waste your time going there, if you really want good Egyptian food with a nice ambiance just go to Dar Al Kamar!!

The worst dining experience for Egyptian food in Dubai. Although he is a real big name in Egypt but the quality of food here is extremely bad and even the Service. Wont come again for sure and If anyone interested to eat Egyptian food then you have to try others.

In all fairness this has been the WORST dinning experience (the food was Okay-ish) I had in Dubai due to the following: 1. Provoking waiter joking/bragging about the fact that 3-4 of the items we wanted to order are not available 2. Didn’t bring any cutlery 3. After a while got is the mix grills and were barely warm (however they tasted good for the most part) 4. They brought a wrong dish, we sent it back and we never got the correct one 5. We order 6 Molokhia and they all came cold, not even warm. We sent back and never got them back 6. The rest of the dishes didn’t come until we gave up and decided to pay for what we order and leave Don’t go there, it’s nothing like Sobhy Kaber in Egypt.

Kebab, hawawshi and molokheya are easily the worst in Dubai and incomparable to the other Egyptian restaurants. Reyash, kofta were OK but the overall Experience was terrible and I wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone
