The Indoor ambience is good and spacious with comfortable seating with a huge bar and an array of drinks too choose from. We prefer sitting outdoor in this pleasant weather. They also have a cute little bar outdoors. Food. Wasabi prawns - So buttery and amazing. Loved it. The serving is quite a handful. Panko Fish - fried in bread crumbs. This starter is just too good and soft on the inside. The tar tar dip along with it is added deliciousness. Thai Chicken Curry A well made green Thai curry with loads of chicken. The flavoring was so amazing. Loved it and it went well with the jasmine rice. Chicken Quesadilla The filling was so so delicious. 4 huge yummy pieces of chicken quesadillas with loads of filling. 😍Must try! Red Rush - a refreshing drink made out of berries and 7up. Loved every sip of this. For dessert we ordered the sizzling brownie which was just too good. A huge brownie with a huge scoop of vanilla. Easily shared by 2. The brownie was baked to perfection. SO this time our pick was Dagama . This place is serving some authentic Portuguese cuisine along with some Mexican dishes as well . So we ordered some mix dishes from both the cuisine. We started our dinner with some refreshing cocktails, and my choice was naked colada which was a mix of pineapple juice and coconut milk . For starters, we had mushroom soup , smoked paprika calamari and wasabi prawns. Soup was very creamy and yum with a tinch of oregano flavor and soup was served along with some crunchy and cheesy garlic bread Calamari was crispy but feels like paprika flavor was a little excess . Wasabi prawns were not crispy as given in the menu but was having a unique taste . Mains served were chicken quesadillas, herb crusted lamb chops and chicken diane. Among the mains ,lamb chops was my favorite. It was soft, tender and juicy with creamy dijon mustard ,sprinkled with herbs. Quesadilla was crispy and filling too. Chicken was dish was normal grilled breast pieces served along with mash potatoes, vegetables and thai sauce Ambience was great and service was quick. Visited this place for one of my friends birthday , looking at the menu ordered for couple of Coronas , calamaris , chicken quesadilla & garlic bread all 3 of them were good . Ambience wise place was good especially during this winter time .

An amazing afternoon lunch with friends, from service to taste to surroundings everything was gr8, we ordered for red hummus, spicy Thai salad,wonderful nachos n yummy quesadillas n one of the best veg Thai curry n finished with sizzling brownie. Everything was tasty n special thx to Mr Francis for his hospitality n care, gonna visit back soon.

We were served a stale drink... Which was changed once highlighted. It was followed by plastic-tasting lemon chicken. The only saving grace to some extent were the Wasabi prawns. In the end, the bill was punched incorrectly and we were charged extra. The bill had to be sent back for correction. On top, the service was super super slow.

Called to Da Gama and inquire whether they are accepting Zomato Gold member, they informed that they are not accepting Zomato infect they have stooped since last 6 months. I asked than why your restaurant is in the Zomato Gold list they said its Zomato mistake they should remove us from the list as our contract is cancelled since 6 months.

Remember Vasco da Gama, the famous Portuguese explorer and the first European to reach India by sea… Just like he made a couple more voyages to India after this initial journey, I too am dreaming of going back to Da Gama again, the Portuguese restaurant in Century Village, named after Vasco da Gama, obviously, to try the rest of the Portuguese dishes that I couldn’t on my first visit.

Da Gama – Century village has many good restaurants which is a total fun spots for family. The surrounding is very beautiful and calm where you feel homely. We tried Da Gama recently and what I liked here was the outdoor seating, there is a bar outside which looks super classy. Nothing to talk about indoor seating but surely the food is the highlight of this place. We loved everything we tried. We started with the TRUFFLE FRIES the right amount of truffle makes it delicious. CHILI GARLIC SEAFOOD BASKET was very delicious, loved the fried seafood tossed in chili garlic.

Situated in the heart or Century Village, Da Gama has to be in the list of Mexican and Portuguese cuisines enthusiasts.. Amazing food with an indoor and outdoor dedicated lounge for Shisha and an outdoor area for families and children who wishes to avoid the smoke.. An amazing  Portuguese and Mexican restaurant in  Century village.<br/><br/>Went on Saturday during afternoon  and the weather was so pleasant so we really liked the outdoor seating.<br/>So we started with couple of cocktails and mocktails with a great vibes, even they have shisha  during the daytime.<br/>Than we placed our orders, and  while waiting for your food to be ready, they serve a basket of   crusty Garlic Bread 😉<br/>They are jus awesome super crust with mild garlic flavor, I would love more if they added sm Parmesan on top to it.<br/><br/>STATER <br/>Garlic Mushroom Salpicao -  Cut mushroom sauteed to best in butter with a hint of  garlic and chili flakes. <br/><br/>Baked Nachos -A huge bowl of baked nachos layered with cheeses sm olives and jalapeno and just perfect for 3 to 4. <br/><br/>Spicy Thai Salad - I'm big fan of Thai food, n this spicy salad satisfy my taste bud. The red eye bird chill  and the galangal ginger in this was just perfect<br/> to kick the hotness of the salad. The brownie as well with sm crunch of nuts and the ice-cream tasted amazing with this hot.<br/><br/>I'm a big fan of Tiramisu , and this looked quite tempting. It tasted okay kind, and could have been better.  <br/><br/>Lemon Grass Creme Brulee - rich custard base topped with a texturally contrasting layer of hardened caramelized sugar, and tasted a hint of lemon essence .<br/><br/>Overall it is a nice place if you want some Portuguese food along with drinks and shisha. Outside seating is great when the weather is pleasant. Even the interior seems to quite happening during night time.

I learned that Arroz is a traditional dish of Spain and Latin America, particularly a rice dish. I was served the same with veggies in risotto rice, it was lovely, just recommend a more hint of flavoring, probably some more garlic as per the traditional dishes.<br/><br/>For desserts, I get an amazing sizzling brownie, definitely one of the best in town! <br/><br/>If you like those coffee desserts - Tiramisu is quite good here too. If you want to try something different, the lemongrass creme brulee is another lovely dessert (originated from France/ England). As the weather is so good these days, I was able to have a great time by sitting outside and eating good food. While waiting for your food to be ready, they will serve you Garlic Bread 😉. The Fried Calamari were crunchy and the addition of smoked paprika gave them an amazing taste. The Seafood Bouillabaisse was loaded of seafood.

This winter in Dubai, I’m rediscovering one of my old favorite hangout and can’t be more happier. Yes, winter in Dubai is all about al fresco dining and last week I was back in the licensed Century Village in Garhoud suburbs. We visited Da Gama Restaurant and Lounge for lunch. Named after the great Portuguese explorer Vasco Da Gama, the restaurant serves delectable Portuguese cuisine along with Mexican classics.

The name itself will elicit history, voyage and adventure and a restaurant that has got such a name should surely be of the same caliber. Da Gama doesn't let you down, the journey here is magical. Once again, a hidden treasure in the open area of The Century Village. The ambiance is terrific, interiors are vibrant and their Bar is one that had won many notable awards and nominations. We went there last week and the place was set up with Christmas decorations and winter colors. We loved it from the get go.

What can I say about this place .It is located in such a beautiful Century Village which gives you amazing ambience and especially in this kind of weather you will love the place in afternoon . The service and the staff is really good here . I was impressed of great choices of non alcoholic drinks were available for a person like me who is non alcoholic .I had strawberry mojito and strawberry shake which was so refreshing and amazing .<br/><br/>The starters were surely a hit for me starting with the 'Wasabi Prawns' so good flavoursome it was with right amount of sauce in it .Then were the mixed 'Tapas platter' which included chicken skewers,panko fish ,wasabi prawns and paprika calamari and nachos totally recommend this amazing platter to share. The 'Wagyu beef burger was another tasty one for beef lovers.Patties were juicy and deliciously fresh.<br/><br/>Then was the Mains which were unique at its own .Starting with the amazing perfect dishes which is "Chicken Diane ,baked fish ,(Espetadas -Dagama Discovery) ,(Cataplana -Cataplana di Marisco) .The quality and quantity wise it was just on top notch .<br/><br/>How can you not have the desserts after their amazing food .I had delicious sizzling brownie and blue berry cheese cake ,perfect balance of sweetness and light on stomach .<br/><br/>

The quality of food as well as the place in general seems to have gone downwards over the years.<br/><br/>Was empty when we visited in the afternoon. Ordered the fried hammour tapas for starters and da gama discovery espatada for mains. The hammour batter was too thick and the chicken in the espatada way too dry with hardly any peri peri marination on it. On the upside the dessert (brownie with ice cream) was good and to the point.<br/><br/>Da gama used to be an old favourite but sadly not anymore.

I personally didn’t like the place because it’s a sheesha cafe with food ofcourse... and more over the lightings are usually dark in such cafes , which is again not so pleasant to me.<br/>for those who like sheesha , they might love it. My friends enjoyed it there .. but they have restrictions for underage and pregnant women , which is a good thing , so since one of our member was pregnant , we had to move out to a restaurant without sheesha . <br/>Good place to hang out with friends to chill.

Last week my husband and I were at the Dubai Tennis Open and decided to dine out at Da Gama restaurant. As far the food and drinks go ...we have absolutely no complaints...<br/>Starting with the drinks we ordered for the  bullfrog and beach island....both were well made and well presented...<br/>for appetizers we ordered for the Tofu squares and Vietnamese spring rolls...delicious..flavorful and served with great sauces...<br/>for the mains we ordered for the veg quesadillas and  chicken fajita...i have to say the quesadillas were probably the best i have had.. ..generously stuffed with broccoli, mushrooms, baby corn and loaded with CHEESE :)) absolutely loved it... The husband loved his Fajitas as well..<br/>so overall we had a great time!

Da Gama was a random choice for us to hangout with old friends. We had a good time here. The service was good and the cocktails were fine. We had prawns and chicken skewers, both the dishes tasted just ok. We had mint shisha which was good.

Service is fast and food is good on the go. The menu is apt for people who want to have something filling and not too bulky to eat. Drinks we have a wide menu but house beverages are limited.

Good atmosphere, nice to sit outdoors when the weather is good. I like their panto chicken, truffle fries, chicken Diane and Thai green curry. Their beef nachos are a bit dry. A nice place to chill at.

Really nice cocktails, I have had several mojitos and caipirinhas there! I've always tried the quesadillas and they were very tasty! The ambience reminds of night club! The thing is I never tried the portuguese food, as this is supposed to be a portuguese restaurant.

Casual bar set up and a nice plce to enjoy some drinks. We went on a Thursday late evening and only few tables were occupied. They have out door and indoor seating. The music is quiet nice. We only had finger food and it was average. We ordered nachos basket and they serve complimentary garlic bread. The berry mocktail was not good amd is avoidable.

I have always liked the atmosphere of century village, particularly during pleasant weather. Da Gama’s club theme is pretty cool and have those chilled out vibes.. It is one of those places, which serves great food, drinks and shisha under one roof. They have interesting Portuguese and Mexican menu. We ordered their veg platter. It had the various variations option in it to choose from. Next we ordered jalepano cheese poppers and nachos which was again delicious. <br/><br/>Their service is good and so is their food with good presentations.

A beautiful atmosphere and fortunately the weather is getting better so we sat outside on the couches that were pretty comfy for a lounge kinda seating... Staff were friendly and always cleared our empty playes and asked if we would like more drinks... athe food was good, kind of a portuguese/spanish blend more than mexican.... we were 4 persons so we decided to share the plates. For starters we tried the Vegetarian Tortilla Basket, it was okay, had better. And the Chilli garlic Seafood Basket, which was unique and tasty, had a great presentation. Ate there tonight it was tasty! I love Mexican food.  Could not eat the whole Quesadilla. Came home to find they only packed one piece of the left overs and the other piece was thrown away??? That was a bit annoying.  I certainly did not ask them to throw my Seafood Quesadilla slice away!

Da Gama was one of the coolest places to hit Century Village about 16 years back, offering one of the coolest ambience, food and experience. 16 years later they are still just as cool in many ways and still offer the most relaxed and fun ambiences within the Century Village complex.<br/><br/>Their Sheesha beds are still around, which were such a hit when they first launched. Food at Da Gama has always been good, with their interesting Portuguese and Mexican menu, which offers some great vegetarian options as well. Staff and service at this restaurant have always been good, with never a reason to complain.<br/><br/>Their club nights and overall club theme is what differentiates them most from all other offers in the Century Village. A tad bit pricey but a Century Village kind of location and ambience doesn’t come cheap ☺.<br/><br/>If you are looking for a place where you can enjoy great food and service and have sheesha while sipping on a drink in a fun, relaxed ambience then Da Gama is your place to be.

They have an awesome bar and a sheesha set up as well, all under one roof.<br/><br/>My regular order is a Vege platter, where variations can be made upon choice. The tofu and the edamame are super healthy options, while the jalepano cheese poppers and nachos make up for the junk cravings. Balanced, ain't it 😊<br/><br/>We tried the Veg Thai curry with rice last time, and although it wasn't like the regular thai food, it was fab and had so many fresh veges. I love their bull frog and they give in fresh garlic bread as complimentary to nibble on.<br/><br/>All in all, I really am not sure what can I complain on except this being a little pricey. But indulgence is allowed once a while 👍🏼

I came here for a friend's birthday dinner on a Thursday. I had a feeling the restaurant would be full but it was almost empty. We had the Garlic bread, nachos, quesedillas, burritos and the sizzling brownie.<br/><br/>To start off the garlic bread was really nice, soft and had a great taste to it. Next we ordered the veg nachos, which had a good filling in terms of veggies and was presented nicely and the sour cream, salsa & guacamole enhanced the taste. The quesedillas were alright nothing great. I felt a hint of coriander was there inside the quesedillas which in a way hindered the desired taste of the quesedillas and could have been much better. The burritos were accompanied with rice and something which can be called a bean sauce or a bean gravy. The burrito was pretty good and the rice along with the bean gravy/sauce went will with it.<br/><br/>At the end we ordered a sizzling brownie. The brownie was really soft and the ice cream goes along very well with the hot brownie and the chocolate sauce beneath the brownie. <br/><br/>Overall it was a decent restaurant in terms of food and service. I would love to dine in at Da Gama once again.

I visited this place a lot during my college days and i still visit them for my favorite drink, naked colada which is basically a non alcoholic pina colada, i also like their stuffed jalapeno poppers which have their own unique taste.

I would have been more happy if it was winters would have enjoyed outdoor seatings. But I loved the place . We went on Saturday and it wasn't luckily so full. I have always liked the ambience of century village especially when the weather is pleasant. Da gama has good outdoor seating and pretty descent music. It has a chilled out vibe on the weekends. The food is descent as well . We ordered the chicken fajita which was in good portion and tasted good. Wasn't a fan of the espedata though. We ordered beer and cocktail named - give it to me.. Lol - it was quite refreshing.They served a good portion of complimentary garlic bread .Enjoyed the dinner and atmosphere. Thumbs up fm my side.

Whaaaaaa??!! A place that serves Portuguese AND Mexican food! How can one restaurant serve 2 niche cuisines? And they're not even similar/share a border! This I had to try....<br/><br/>......and regretted it immediately. Sure, Century Village is a pretty chill place and very centrally located, but all that cannot make up for the poor and downright overpriced food. The interiors resemble a very trendy club with low seating and neon lights. The outdoor seating is calm and a wonderful place during the cooler months. I had the displeasure of trying their 'Seafood Cataplana' and 'Beef Burrito' both of which were not authentic and very bland and unappetizing. Prices are ridiculous for the portions and quality of food. <br/><br/>Service was fine. Parking is troublesome during busy hours.

For drinks i had a bullfrog to wash it down. The bullfrog was really good - quite a kick to it; though i didnt really like my paella - quite bland in flavors and at times it even felt like hospital food. <br/><br/>Now, i have never had an authentic paella so don't know how its supposed to be cooked, i would have thought that the rice may have a bit of a bite to it like risotto does but the rice was pretty soft. The chicken was really well cooked as well - moist and succulent and the veggies seemed fresh as well. Its just, the flavors together i didnt like. The waiter also told me that the sauce would have saffron but i couldn't taste it at all - anyhow, i didnt really enjoy it.<br/><br/>i think the food deserved a 4/10.<br/><br/>The service was pretty average. We just walked in randomly to this place. I love Portuguese grills. Nothing special about the ambiance , service average but food is delicious. We ordered baked nachos for our starters and Bacalhau a Gomes de sa, sea food al forque and seafood platter for our main course. The food was superb!! However the service here is horrible.. We got our starter wid our main course. Our drinks were served probably 10mins before our main course. Overall the food is good but the service needs to be improved..

Your go to place for Portuguese cuisine. I suggest waiting until the weather gets better. Chicken espetada is the best in town. The quessedilas and baked nachos were average. Service is a bit slow though.

The service is terrible. We went there in the afternoon and more than half the tables were reserved so we had to unwillingly take a table next to a group that was smoking. More than an hour later when we left the so called reserved tables were still empty. The Thai curry was pretty bland. The nachos were good but a tad oily.

Da Gama is a Portuguese restaurant, one of many eateries in Century village. The weather doesn't help sitting outside but inside area is welcoming and fresh. The food was really good, we ordered da Gama discovery and the arroz Di marisco, they looked really amazing when brought to the table. The only bad thing was the slow service as it took a while before we got our meals. Shush a was served inside too, and it was a good made shisha. We had a good time here and we will come back to taste the rest of the menu option they serve.

Century Village is nice place for outdoor dining during winter though most of the restaurants operates with very low volume of customers.<br/><br/>Unfortunately the day we visit the weather outdoor was bit windy & dusty as well so we decided to sit inside. We were not so hungry so we order Panko fish, Chicken Diane & Chicken Thai Curry.<br/><br/>Panko chicken - the bread crumbed goujons of fish was average. <br/><br/>Chicken Diane - a Juicy & soft chicken grilled chicken breast laced in herb mushroom sauce accompanied by sauteed vegetable & mash potato was good enough. <br/><br/>Chicken Thai Curry was not good at all. Only green look doesn't ensure the authenticity of Thai food. The worst Thai Curry I ever had. The way it was cooked was not the way Thai curries are made. They don't use coconut milk instead they use coconut oil to produce flavour. I would suggest either remove it from menu or deliver the right stuff.<br/><br/>Definitely not a place would like to either return ever or recommend as well.

Nestled in the Century village, amongst a cluster of to-try restaurants is Da Gama, a Portuguese restaurant. The surprising part of Da Gama is that they serve more multi cuisine dishes than Portuguese. We ordered the mushroom soup, Salad, Chicken Fajita and Da Gama discovery( chicken Espatada).<br/><br/>The soup was creamy and nice, however, I felt that the mushrooms were not fresh and they were using canned button mushroom. The salad was fresh and had a nice vinaigrette dressing. Being a Portuguese joint we were actually looking forward to the Espatada and had the same lip smacking Espatada in mind as the one you get in Nandos. The style of presenting it was exactly the same, however, in terms of taste, it tasted more closer to the Indian chicken tikka than, the one which is marinated in Peri Peri sauce. Surprisingly the Chicken Fajita tasted far better than the Espatada.<br/><br/>Ambience of the place can get a bit annoying for you specially when you have cats all around you, anxiously waiting to grab a bite of your meal. One of the cat climbed onto an empty chair and tried grabbing a piece of chicken.
