Very testy food, I ordered north Indian thali, ,each and every thing was super testy ,must appreciate the cook
Very tasty dishes ans staffs are with good behaviour. There is no much delay after ordering.Especialy Mr.Sathosh and Mr.Darshan.
Good space, tasty breakfast which includes variety of dosa, udupi recipes, snacks, upma, poori baji etc and north indian/south indian thali etc are available. Affordable price. taste is fine. service is good
Pleasantly surprised by this place. Was my 1st time here. Ample seating, neat and clean. The idly vada was very good and so was the sada dosa. Asked for the dosa crispy and it was perfect.
Goot taste. -1 star for not delivering the chutney.
The fooooood!!! YUM!!! Ordered the executive meal... they customized it as per what I felt like eating! (A first ever) Could tell it was packed fresh right off the stove, and the paneer... omg it was soft like what you get back in India! Very happy! (and very stuffed after!)
Fan of their Thaali & Filter Coffee ❤
this is the only south indian joint that i like in discovery gardens area..rest all are either too crowded or the food quality wont be upto tha mark.
i like crisp dosa with good chutney and sambhar..and not a soggy one..so full marks here..
we tried poha upma a friday speciality, which was rather a nice surprise..do try guys..its not poha and not upma.. 😀😀
As a start to the weekend I decided to order a mini tiffin with tea and mangalore buns from this restaurant. The mini dosa was crispy at the edges and slightly thick at the centre just the way I prefer to eat dosa. Mangalore buns were soft and fluffy. The chutney used to be bit be bland and watery before. But now it tastes authentic and has the right consistency. A sip of the chai and it took me right back to Mangalore. The only drawback was the delay in delivery of the food.
Mini tiffin was good but vada was not crispy and was over fried. Even chutney was watery
Ordered goli bajji and sheera
Goli bajji 4/5
Sheera 3/5
VFM 4/5
Will definitely try out other dishes
Everything except cuconut chutney was just perfect.
Sambar was amazing!
Typical Puttur style idly. Tastes yummy!!
I was just moving around Discovery Gardens area. Then I found a vegetarian restaurant. The restaurant name is very interesting. So I went inside. Completely new restaurant. Everything is newly decorated. They have separate dining room for family also.
I ordered breakfast, Vada & poori Bhaji. The guy who took our order, he explained me that this is a Karnataka restaurant. Later he asked about food feedback also.
I really enjoyed Vada. I never had nice crispy fresh vada before in Dubai like their vada. But I can say price is little high compared to other restaurants. Puri Bhaji was 12 AED 😳
The vada sambar masala dosa is amazing
On a lazy Saturday morning we decided to order breakfast from this pure veg restaurant.
Delivery time - 20-30 minutes.
Packaging- Excellent
Prices- Reasonable
Coming to food which is a very close topic to my heart 😊
1) Vada plate- Good in taste, size ok, little oily.
2) Set dosa- More than enough quantity. Three thick dosas. Salt was little less.
But what we both liked the most is their SAMBAR... let me tell you for the first time I felt like I am having a authentic UDUPI sambar👍👍👍.... heavenly experience ( not exaggerating at all)
Coconut and tomato chutneys were also good and sufficient in quantity.
Now we both are eager to explore their menu... 😊
The food is always fresh and light... it has the essence of eating home made food ... the staff is extremely courteous
I love having the South Indian food at Hari Prasad.. highly recommendable
This restaurant is amazing and "must try" for all south Indian food lovers- great taste, samber and chutneys are awesome!! Ever-Smiling attentive staff, beautiful- spacious ambience. Overall great experience!! all must check it out
Best South Indian restaurant in South Dubai by far.
Very fresh food and the masala dosa was one of the best dishes I have eaten in Dubai
The paneer and gobi manchurian was the best ...indian street style level. The veg thalli is sooo fresh with ample variety, exactly like you would find in mumbai. South indian is king for sure at this place. Best veg restaurant in town for sure!!
After hours of wandering and discussion we had decided on hariprasad.
What can I say ,can eat how much ever you want cz u will never feel like stopping.its that tasty and home style...yummmm
Loved mangalorian buns,Mysore masaladosa, masaldosa, mini tiffin, gole baji, filtered coffee.sevai is the only thing I wasn't much found of.
Definitely coming back here for more lovely homely food
Vow it’s really a great place to have South Indian break fast, good service, staffs are very friendly and taste is yummy, try the taste 😇🤗😍♥️👏👌😊
We love coming to hari Prasad restaurant at least twice a week. The food is so light and fresh, just like home cooked. we feel the real taste of food( both south and North Indian) which is difficult to find anywhere else here. Also with two small children I highly recommend the quality of this place.

Excellent food, amazing staff. Reminds me of Bangalore.Special thanks to Santosh and Prashant for helping us out with our requests. Thank you
One of the best place for Vegetarian food in Discovery Gardens area. Along with all mouth watering veg delicacies, they do serve special Udupi/Mangalorean dishes. To my pleasant surprise when I saw cricket legend Javagal Srinath having food from this place, you don't need any other recommendations. Service provided by Mr. Santhosh is highly appreciated.
Ambience is good and they serve delicious food with a big cheer of smile. This is a pure veg restaurant serving North& South Indian and Chinese cuisine. Visit this place for quality food and service at economical rate, a rare combination !!
Excellent vegetarian restaurant. Home type food at very reasonable price. Very friendly service. They make an effort to understand and serve accordingly.
Am regular customer of this restaurant. Simple, friendly, calm atmosphere without much noice n caos as I seen in many other places.
Idli sambar (Dip) here, is out of the world. My all time favorite place for idli & authentic sambar 😇.
Veriety of mouth watering Dosa menu make u happy for visiting this place. Taste is guarenteed without compromising Quality.
I have tasted few North Indian dishes but frequently I hear praising from North Indian customers. For their surprise, a South Indian restaurant providing genuine Northy taste n first word come out of their mouth is "uhmmm, gooood"...
I recommend this place for ample parking space, hygiene, fast service, simplicity of staff (no show off with fancy English buttering😉)
Visit, witness n express ur opinion.. Cheers
This is good place for South Indian veggie food lovers. The restaurant is clean and spacious. My family and myself is very found of their udupi sambar ,Ravi dosha , idli and masala dosa plus to mention their weekend specials. Tea and filter coffee is good. Their service staff are very active in their service and friendly too . I would recommend everyone in DG for veggies to Hariprasad. RIZWAN & FAMILY👍
For me, the breakfast menu at this place takes me straight back to my native home town. It was a breath of fresh air to find items like Goli Bajji, Manglorean buns, Kadle Avvlaki other than the usual fare of Dosa, Idli, Wada which I feel is a rarity in conventional South Indian restaurants. The flavour is pretty much spot on. My favourites are the Manglorean Buns, Hesaru Avvlakki and they just nailed it with the Sambar which is exactly what a sambar from South Canara is supposed to taste like. Although I am satisfied with the flavours, I don't know what is up with their online order system, it is not always on. Also, not all items are available when you do actually order online.
Tasty food &well maintained, really good taste in South as well north food and goli baje and Mangalore buns which is really good. Their service is extraordinary. friendly staff and good service.
I have visited hariprasad restaurant in discovery gardens they have really good test in north and south delicious food I never tried before like this food it was really mouthwatering 😊...totally recommended please try once
Staffs are very close with us they are very friendly with customers good ambience good service thank you guys
The food is always fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly and we love the place
Tasty vada and masala dosa.. Friendly owner..clean place.. Will visit again for sure..
I visited Hari prasad on Friday along with my family for the first time, didn't really expect anything when we entered the restaurant.
Let's get talking about the food shall we?
We wanted to try their both South Indian and North Indian food so we ordered the Mysore Sada Dosa.
Mysore Sada Dosa - The dosa was thick suprisingly because usually some places have very thin dosa nowadays which is sad and looking at their dosa I was really happy. The mysore dosa had the original garlic kind of chutney inside it spread and served with sambar and chutney. The sambar was amazing! Absolutely loved the flavours though the chutney was a little bland. But I would come back for the dosa for sure. A must have!
North Indian dishes - We ordered 2 sabzi and Tandoori Paratha.
Paneer Tikka Masala - I usually don't enjoy north indian gravies at a south indian restaurant but to my surprise the first bite I took and I absolutely loved it, the paneer was actually tandoored and the gravy was delicious! The masala wasn't too overpowering the dish and I would totally recommend it! A must have!
Veg Kofta - The dish had 4 huge koftas, both the gravies looked very identical but both tasted totally different, I loved this dish as well, the kofta were made of potatoes, paneer and veggies and fried, A must have!
Tandoori Paratha - Massive paratha and easily shared btwn 2 people. Soft and not too chewy and properly cooked!
Overall - The ambience is alright, service is good and the staff is good too! I would surely come back to try more dishes! As always told don't judge a book by it's cover. Good food and easy to find parking too!
Good food please keep it up!
A fabulous vegetarian restaurant with friendly services neat and clean, north/south Indian options available.
I especially like the most-Poha with Chana, Dosa, Puran Poli and Beautiful tea😍😍
Had North Thali here today..It is too Delicious , curries n roti are like HomeMade.. 3 types of curry, a starter ,sweet , dal ,roti , buttermilk n jeera rice. They r prepared as they got order.
Food is scrumptious especially the south indian food, staff is very amicable( kuch alag si Family wali planning😊😊
Their North Indian is one of the best
It was horrible, the tomato soup tasted like tomato ketchup. We had to throw it away.
Great place for a friday south Indian breakfast. Their crispy dosas, managlore buns, goli bajji and filter coffee is a perfect start to a lazy friday. Service is a bit slow but the authenticity and taste of the food makes up for it.
Every time my family & I craved for dosas/vadas/ good sambar & chutney, we had to drive into Karama to get our fill until we discovered Hari Prasad on Zomato and decided to visit it. We’ve been to this restaurant thrice in the last 2 weeks. Need I say more?
The food was spot on! The service excellent and very efficient. And a big shout out to the servers - sorry I didn’t ask their names. We asked for mini tiffins with piping hot sambhar and our extra crisp dosas to be brought later. Our instructions were followed to the T!!! I love their sambhar ❤️
Well done to the team at Hari Prasad - you will see us eating regularly at your restaurant.
Excellent quality of food. You will feel the richness in your mouth when you have the first bite of the food. North Indian dishes and south Indian breakfasts are the best here. This is our top favorite in discovery Gardens!!!
Food ordered
Pani Puri
Went for a snacking session with all my friends the Pani was alright wasn't that spicy or sweet it was average but the customer service was good
Best place to eat for pure vegetarians as i am also a vegetarian. Service by their staff is good.
As i tried Gobi butter masala and kadhai paneer as main course. Taste of both is good.
I had been wanting to visit this place for so long but only that the location is quite far from where I live. During the last weekend I just made up my mind to visit here. we were there early evening and hence it wasnt crowded. we had Mysore masala dosa, set dosa, Neer dosa, Goli Bajji and filter coffee. The service was pretty quick . Masala Dosa was crisp , smeared with the red chutney and stuffed with soft potato baaji and was a relish every bite with the sides of coconut chutney , tomato chutney and sambar. Set dosa was another delicacy I loved here, soft dosas again with 3 sides. Neer dosa was good but not upto my expectation. Goli Bajji was piping hot and delicious. Their sambar and coconut chutney was excellent . Now i am craving to visit here for a nice south indian (karnataka style) thali. Reasonably priced, good quality and the service is excellent .
Well!long time wish of mine came true. Due to the non availability of parking. Can be referred as hidden gem. South Indian restaurant with pure udupi/mangalorian flair.
1. Samosa - a normal aloo samosa with some punjabi taste.
2. **Neer dosa - made several times at home trying first time in a restaurant. Soft, white thin dosa.
3. Curd vada - expected a savoury curd vada. But the only disappointment was the sweet curd. As the vada was salty enough that sweet curd was balanced.
4. **Benne dosa - As referred by gulf news one of best tasting south indian dosa. Yes indeed! Two soft hot soft dosas with spoon of butter. Yummy.. my.mind fell for it.
5. Sambar idly - the sambar is the speciality. Its different from normal southindian sambar. Spicy with a sweet note.
6. **Mysore Masala dosa - Super crunchy dosa with soft masala. Mildly spiced masala complements the spicy chutney paste spread over it.
7. **Sada dosa - super crunchy on every bit from first till u finish licking the plate. *never tasted such crunchy, tasty ones.
**All dosas are accompanied with white chutney, tangy tomato chutney, and sambar cups. And crunchy as super greasy. But when good food tastes awesome such things doesn't matter
NB- When each dosa is accompanied with all 3 sides, its little overwhelming and wastes are coming. So please check on to limit it. So waste will be reduced.
Ambience - 4
Taste - 5*
Presentation - 4
Service - 5(super quick as less crowded)
Value for money - 4
Overall - 5 (just for those crunchy dosas)
YUM YUM YUM!!!!
I often visit this restaurant on weekends , I would like to suggest to try the snacks from here especially buns as they are very tasty... and the service is also very good of Mr.Darshan...
For me, it's the best place to have south indian in Dubai. Their 'ghee roast' is spectacular. And filter coffee is good too.
The staff is very courteous and friendly. We are always welcomed with a smile, esp. by "Gopal" , who knows our default order by heart.
Do try this place out!
Hidden gem in discovery gardens to have veg south indian food. Must try - ragi dosa, fulter coffee, korma, veg hyderabadi, manglorian buns. Economical place with good taste.
I had South IndianThali, Mangalorean style. Jack fruit subzi and Mango Pineapple curry was tasty. Staff are very kind courteous! Mutter
Palak subzi very good. Thali is value for Money.
Hari prasad was a good surprise package. Stumbled upon it while hunting for places for south Indian food delivery in JLT and ordered from here twice. Since the food was good each time, we decided to try the dine in option on day of major south indian cravings.
It's a homely restaurant in the heart of discovery garden. Parking is a challenge but they provide a basement option. The premises are spotless and well maintained and typical of a budget restaurant.
We tried idli vada dip, plain dosa, masala dosa, and onion tomato uttapam. All the food was delicious; fresh, crispy and fluffy in the right proportions. I really liked the sambar and chutneys too; very authentic. The filter coffee smelled divine even though we did not try it. Next time round for sure.
The place is quite budget friendly and makes for a good comfort meal. The only downside was that even though there was an ADCB discount listed on zomato, the restaurant did not apply it, stating some T&Cs that were not mentioned in Zomato. But since the place is inexpensive, this was not a deal breaker for a repeat visit.
