Delicious! Today was my second visit here and the first time I had tried a burrito from their limited special menu from Burrito Bros and it was really good.
Today I tried a mix and match taco order of an El Dorado (fish) and Camarones (shrimp).
On the drive home after getting my order I was worried about the homemade corn tortillas falling apart due to the steam from the packaging but it held up perfectly.
The fish is deep fried and although not as crisp as it would be if I ate there, it was not soggy. It was delicious flaky bites of a nice chunk of fish (not a thin flat piece) with bell peppers, onions and a non-spicy chipotle mayo.
The shrimp is grilled and did not get rubbery on the drive home. Topped with a squeeze of lemon and mango salsa made the perfect combination for a shrimp taco.
I really appreciate that their corn tortillas are homemade. I will try more of their menu for sure!
This place is the bomb. I tried their Burrito yesterday - the grilled chicken one. Freaking amazing - so flavorful, wasn't any need to add any extra sauces nothing. Will definitely be going back next weekend!
The food at Maiz Tacos is SO good. Lets talk about the tacos in the first image. The texture of the tortilla was soft, tender, so well hydrated. The combination of the chicken, the tortilla, and the toppings made for a really delicious mouthful with each bite. We ordered shredded corn with parmesan and queso for our starters. They were good enough to bring us right back the very next week.
A lovely little taqueria @maiztacos serves really yummy tacos made with fresh-made flour tortillas. We had tacos - chicken, pulled beef, shrimp and fish - and all were delish! We also loved the freshly made queso and nachos. The queso was served to the table bubbling in its dish. Dessert was churros - not bad but nothing really to write home about.
All of you mexican cuisine fans must try Maiz Tacos. I ordered the beef taco and my god it was perfect. I was about to cry. And you have to try their guacamole, it’s amazing. Hopefully I’ll visit the restaurant again soon. And if you haven’t tried it, well, you have to.

Here’s another example of a successful food truck turned restaurant with Maiz Tacos. The restaurant located in Dar Al Wasl Mall started out doing the rounds in Dubai events and is now also a cute space with a brightly painted feature wall and witty art. Their menu is straight forward and they also allow you to mix and match tacos which is fab as I like variety.
Quaint little place in Safa. Really wanted to try tacos and this was the place nearest to us at that moment. Staff is friendly, ambiance is inviting. Everything was really tasty though the price a tad bit high for just two tacos. But we understand its because of the fresh, premium grade ingredients used.
Will visit when the next hankering for tacos arises for sure.
Happen to try their food at their stall installed for speedex fest. Tried their Calabaza with pumpkin tacos (Veg version), it was a bit spicy. And my little boy had two bites and he was like waterr !! But then I liked it.
To start the tortilla’s here are made fresh and secondly they are made out of corn not flower. Cosy and clean place- good ambiance and friendly service. Some of the best tacos I have had in DXB hands down- ingredients were super fresh. The old school hip hop soundtrack was the icing on the cake... highly recommended

Tried Maiz tacos 🌮 at the speedex fest last weekend. We had the veg version Calabaza with pumpkin. It had a spicy flavor and I really loved it. Would love to try the other varieties too.
Best tacos I had in the UAE. All the ingredients are well chosen in each one of their dishes.
You will never get board from it.
What I do suggest for people who will try it for the first time is that to go with someone and order two dishes and share with each other so you get the chance to try most of their stuff.
The chips is really good BTW.

It is the one place I go pretty much every weekend! the layout of their restaurant is so cozy, the food is absolutely delicious, and the service and hospitality is something you don't want to miss out on. Honestly, I can't tell you how cool the vibe is there. The owner, Luma, of the place will come to your table, have a chat with you, explain how authentic her mexican food is and make you laugh cause she is a ball of fire! And her partner Haidar will make sure that your food is cooked with love and falls nothing short of the best mexican in Dubai! Hands down! OH, and make sure you leave space for the Churro lotus ice cream heavenly sandwich at the end! BON APPETIT! As the weather gets better, watch out for the MAIZ food truck roaming around different events in Dubai! And if you prefer a catering event at the doorstep of your house or office, then they are the perfect people to organize a flawless event of tacos for you.
Tried the Flautas tacos - really good, but the portions are small. Very crunchy shell and delicious flavour. The place is cute and quirky. Their specialty is nachos and tacos, they don’t do other Mexican food. Definitely warrants another visit.
First time we visit this place. Heard they serve fresh food with fresh ingredients. We tried almost everything on the menu, Guacamole with chips, Queso and chips, the Flautas and El Jefe. Very tasty, relatively small portions and OK prices. We had to order two items each to get full.
The owners were there, very involved with the guests and very friendly.
We all loved this place, it’s F&F for us.

As a food truck, it turned into a restaurant, everything was a home factory, limited in size and very easy. The choices, shrimp taco with mango, sauce, mint and lettuce are very delicious, and side orders are Mexican corn, guacamole with chips and from Chourou sweets department, Between 30 and 54 ADE .

Having had Maiz at a previous food truck event I was super excited when I found out they had their own space at Dar Wasl Mall. The food was as good as I remembered it to be if not better. With the freshest ingredients they have the bests tacos in dubai. We literally ordered everything off the menu, from the appetisers to the desserts! Great vegetarian option too which is sometimes a challenge. Super friendly staff and the owners are a delightful. Can’t wait to come back multiple times!
I first ate & loved food from Maiz when they had a truck on Kite Beach last winter, so was excited to visit their new shop. A friend & I went on a Tuesday evening for a quick bite after a yoga class - it perfectly hit the spot. Super friendly & helpful service, fresh food, quickly served. The tacos are really great - flavoursome & a good sized portion. We had the veggie tacos & shrimp tacos. The only regret was not being in the mood for dessert, I will definitely return to get my sugar fix.
So finally was able to check out this taco Shop over at Dar Wasl Mall first off the tacos I got were a pulled beef and a chicken I am not really a fan of the pull beef or chicken meat BUT I was some what satisfied with the tacos I believe that the beef tacos could of had more of a kick to it , it did come with lime but something was off , it needed some spice or avocado with it perhaps . I wish they had Carne asada tacos with cilantro & onions just like they have back in Cali at the food trucks , oh and it’s 40 AED for two tacos, which is $6 US dollars for one each ! Expensive I think but I know it’s Dubai 🙄 Would I come back again again ? maybe , If i happen to be in the area, I wouldn’t say that they are the best tacos I have ever had but for Dubai they try . It’s cute inside and the service was good . It’s a bit small but it’s nice .
Hands down the best Tacos in Dubai. This newly opened Taco joint in Dar Wasl Mall is a hidden gem! We ordered a wide selection of their Tacos and sides and the quality and flavors are out of this world. We tried El Jefe beef Tacos, Pollo Asada chicken Tacos and the Camerones shrimp tacos. Each was a different mix of flavors but all were very delicious. My favorite was El Jefe they were very juicy and topped with Mexican Tomatillo salsa. Fresh Guacamole and corn on the cob completed the meal and coupled with a friendly and amazing service it was the perfect meal out. I would definitely recommend this place for all authentic Mexican food lovers.

Maiz is the latest taco shop to take Dubai by storm. It’s certainly been popping up all over my Instafeed with its picture-perfect pink cactus wall and quirky taco quotes. This is a homegrown business that started out as a food truck, which is super cool. Everything is made in-house, including the tortilla chips.
Absolutely love that place, from its food, to its price & service to the foodies behind it all.

-Exceptional and unlike any commercial restaurants that have tacos as part of their menu. Maiz is specialized in Tacos, the tortillas are not only authentic, but also organic/gluten-free. You can choose between Chicken, Beef, or Fish, and they also have vegan options. I personally would recommend the fish, which is so tender and fresh. To top it off, the spices are actually imported from Mexico giving it that real taste and richness in flavor.
*Price & service*
-Very reasonable prices and the service is relatively quick and consistent. Their restaurant fits around 20 people making it a cozy experience, and the layout is so cool!
They're even on Deliveroo too if you wana do an office Taco team lunch.

Best tacos in town. I can’t get enough! You have to finish with the churros and ask them to give you a bit of both dips. Their homemade ice tea is so refreshing! I’ll be a frequent customer for sure!
This is the beat Mexican food restaurant in Dubai. Very light, healthy and full of taste. I appreciate that all their pitas are homemade. It’s all u need in one place. Love it! And would definitely recommend everyone to go for lunch or dinner

This is the kind of restaurant I want to see strive and succeed in Dubai. Visited Maize Tacos last night, and this was my experience there:Staff was great, and very friendly from the second we entered. Waitress told us about all the items on the menu and convinced me to try the Fresh Agua of The Day. The drink is really worth a try unless you'd prefer something sweeter, I'd recommend the Jarritos.
We started off having Guacamole with Chips. The guacamole is fresh and tastes just right. I was loving the chips even more.
For mains, I ordered the Camarones, and I was not disappointed one bit. The shrimp and mango salsa mix go very well together and it all had the perfect level of spiciness.
Waitress checked on us and we just had minor negative suggestions to an otherwise great experience. They took our suggestions and treated us to Churros on the house.
All I have to say is Do not miss out on the Churros. perfectly fried and probably the best churros I've ever tried.
Worth the visit and I'll definitely be going back to try the El Jefe
So, I went here last week and it was absolutely amazing! I've been craving their flautas all week, this will definitely become my go-to taco place. Their churros were also absolutely amazing, I ordered them with nutella dip, but tbh they're so good even without dip they really don't need it. I just wish it was closer to where I live so I could go every day. The ambiance is lovely, it has this kind of industrial feel but with a pop of colour and the service is so great, the staff is just super friendly and helpful!
Wow! Finger-licking deliciously good food. Great atmosphere, wonderful personalized service, and as authentic as Mexican food can be!

Best tacos in Dubai by far! Everything was delicious especially the shrimp tacos. If you are a taco fan this place is a must. You will not be disappointed.
I tried their food in beach canteen jumeirah after a lot of confusion where to eat and finally I chose maiz tacos.
The have a very limited menu but everything was a signature dish. I tried their Pollo asado - slow roasted pulled chicken with pickled onions and jitomates sauce (delicious) but by the time I took picture of it , it became a bit soggy but was yummy and I also tried their dessert churros sandwich with lotus ice cream (must try dish).
Wish the quantity was more for its price but I understand it's a street food and normally it's less quantity for more price.
But definitely it's a must try place at the beach canteen as it's really authentic Mexican food.

What can I say about Maiz Tacos? If you're looking for consistently quality in taste and freshness, you have to try them out. The tacos are made with corn tortillas and just by the bite you can tell of the freshness. I've tried everything on the menu from the Pollo Asado all the way to the Churro Ice Cream sandwich. I find it difficult to pick a favorite because to be honest - each menu item competes with each other in deliciousness. Also, the Limonada always quenches my thirst on a hot Dubai afternoon.

Fish taco had too much breading on the fish that you couldn’t taste it.

Hands-down | The best tacos in Dubai. Food is excellent but the people & energy with which they run this place, love it. It has got a good vibe. From the outside, the place feels like a hole in the wall but opens up this mexican cuisine door to Dubai. Oh man - the tacos (Specially the chicken ones were bomb) & the Cholulas Sauce (deserves a special mention as they up the nachos game by miles). Love you 'Maiz Tacos' and highly recommend this as a top 3 mexican restaurants in Dubai.

Best authentic Mexican food in Dubai! It cannot get better than this in DXB. The design of the place is super cute and just minimalistic in some sort of way, like everything clashes together, especially the small splash of colors! The food cannot be described, it was just too good. The nachos was by far the best thing we had. Everyone knows how heavy nachos are, but this was different. It was super light, nothing heavy, just literally heaven in your mouth. This is something YOU HAVE to get, or else you are definitely going to miss out. My friends and I got 2 types of burritos (HIS & HERS), Birria tacos and burrito, and a bowl. All I can say is yummy!!!! The staff were super sweet!!

Maiz Tacos is one of the best Mexican spots in Dubai. I have tried the Grilled Chicken Nachos and Birria tacos. We also ordered the Pollo Quesadillas but we were too full to try it. Worth all the hype it is getting! Highly recommend the place. All the waiters were funny and friendly - shout out to Eric.

The BEST TACO’s I’ve tried so far here at Dubai. Especially the Birria tacos that is a must to try its super tasty. Also the burgers are good to try…good serviced, you have to listen to his (waiter) suggestionssss :)

Friendly staff and good atmosphere with the outdoor seating. The food was good too, but not as much as the overhype over tacos. We have 3 different kinds of tacos, two chicken and one beef. The chicken ones were okay, pulled beef ones were actually better. The desert was also alright, it's been overhyped too for no reason.
Overall good food and a good restaurant to eat once in a while.
