(التعليق الأصلي) I did a take away at this place. They have authentic Indonesian food, but somehow the taste didn't match upto my expectations. Hope their quantity increases to match the price point.

استمتع (التعليق الأصلي) My friend took me to this hidden place, the food was yummy we were sitting outside because the weather is still okay. Indoors is available too. The menu has a wide selection of many rice, noodles or starters, soups options. I can recommend the grilled chicken which comes with rice. Don't forget to mention how spicy you like it. On request there is very delicious spicy paste also sweet soy sauce. Cold tea comes in big jar perfect for sharing and it is very refreshing also sugar syrup comes on the side. The place was not busy but it was really worth visit. Enjoy

(التعليق الأصلي) Came for dinner and ordered their green sambal chicken, ikan bakar (grilled fish) with red sambal and bakso (beef ball soup). All 3 dishes were quite good with the highlight being the fish and sambal. The restaurant has done its part to manage the physical distancing between clients.. So.. U can feel safe eating. The staff and cooks are Indonesian, so u can expect authentic cooking although I'm sure the dishes are not cooked similar to that if u were in Indonesia. In any case... It is good enough to satisfy the craving. Definitely will come again.

تبرز الخدمة والطعام تمامًا مع السعر المدفوع وهو أفضل قيمة في المدينة (التعليق الأصلي) Fantastic place and a hidden gem found. Food is excellent and very authentic. Very home style atmosphere, seems to be run by a few ladies together and they make you really feel welcomed. The ambience is unique with all the greenery inside. The service and food completely stand out with the price paid it is the best value in Town

Delicious food, but need to improve the service. (Waiternya bersihin sisa makanan dipiring utk di bawa kebelakang kok didepan tamu, komunikasinya juga kurang sesama waiter, sehingga ada orderan yg lupa dan salah kasih bill) anyway overall i like the place due the food is delicious and i feel really indonesian taste in my tongue.

Authentic Indonesian food in Dubai. When you are missing home cooked food, you should come and visit. The downside of this restaurant, little bit far from metro station.

Great food, lovely service, been taken there by a Indonesian friend who eats there almost every days ... reminds her of home ... be aware of some serious spice attack ;-)

Best Indonesian restaurant in Dubai so far with reasonable price, and friendly helpful staffs. Sukses!

Murah tapi rasa kurang meyakinkan. Take away nasi bakar tidak dikasih sambal

Its my third time visiting seleraku. Their Bakso makes me do crazy stuff namely; take a taxi, bump into a street post, and go home broke :-P I can't get enough of it!

Let me first start by saying that I love Indonesian cuisine but this restaurant is by far the one that disappointed me the most.
First. The person who took our order does not know how to speak English, she could barely understand our order.
We ordered Nasi Goreng Ayam Special (Chicken Fried Rice) and we specifically requested for a leg part.
We waited for about 15 to 20 minutes expecting for a good meal. By the time it arrived, the food looks OK but the chicken is like a tiny piece of breast part.
We end up asking them to change it with a leg part and after 5 to 10 minutes of waiting again for the piece of chicken to be replace, the lady suddenly came back with a tiny piece of chicken leg and grab the piece out of our plate. 😂
What kind of restaurant is this?😂
The chicken piece is by far the smallest chicken I've seen.
Also they could tone down with the artificial plant and replace it instead of a real one. The place looks stuffed and crowded because of over decorations of fake plants.
I would definitely not recommend this restaurant nor have any plans to come back in the future.
One of the worst restaurant for online ordering. I had my order cancelled about three days ago but then I like giving second chances so I did order again. But same issue happened, to think that I even ask for zomato's confirmation if the restaurant is accepting orders which they said yes. Twice it happened and if there is zero rating I will be giving it to this restaurant.

We went to seleraku rest 2 times already , and all the experince was amazing! All the food is very authentic. We loved nasi bakar, es cendol, especially baksooo our numb 1 favorite . Thank you for ibu Widia , and ibu afifah very friendly staff and amazing. We definitely comeback soon. We love you!

I came today afternoon with my friend for lunch, I enter to restaurant one lady/staff was standing in the counter/cashier area, I was trying to smile to her but she didn’t even smile back or greeting, I couldn’t get her name. whatever the position she has she has to greet to guest so we can feel like home and for sure if staff friendly, we will comeback. Mba Narti and other guy was very friendly because only one lady/staff she has attitude I don’t think I will comeback or recommend to my family or friend, and I came long away from Ajman.

I had ordered duck, but they delivered chicken instead. Who are they trying to fool? They should have called and requested to change instead of just sending a wrong dish.
Wina Mawardani
the food here are AMAZING! but i had bad experience with the staff there. so i ordered Ayam Penyet supposed to come with Rice. as it’s written on their online menu like that. but surprisingly they didnt send any RICE at all. long story short i called them, they just apoligize and the lady said “sorry we’re just human we do made a mistake. and nobody can bring ur rice now” what an answer!

We came here 3 times,so far for food if we compare with other indonesian restaurants.they had good dishes better than other rest.the only problem is tht the place not very comfortable to chill.feels like they tried so hard to put the restaurants seat available.mostly quite.thts why we prefer to order from zomato than visiting the restaurants itself.try their soto mie, bakso, iga bakar, ayam goreng. Its all good...!!!!!
Esther Triana
They are friendly in our first visit. But the second time we are here they don't know how to serve and kept on ignoring us. This will be the last time we come here

So I heard a lot about this place and after having seen the reviews I decided to give it a visit. I've been to other Indonesian restaurants in Dubai and understnad the taste of the food. My all time favourite is the sate and that is the deciding factor for me. Unfortunate start from a the hype the place was such a let down.

First problem.. service.. Though the order was taken it took 35 mins for them to place am order of Sate Ayam (chicken). I had to settle for chicken as they did not have mutton. When I asked about the time it is taking the simply said sorry. The reality being they were all busy catering to a travel group having lunch there.

Second problem... Finally when the food arrives. It was not as expected. Plain presentation.. Nothing appealing. Like something was put together last minute. Then comes the taste test.... I usually don't waste food but this one was difficult to eat. The chicken was super dry.. it was simply grilled with no marination. Just a drizzle of soy sauce on top. The peanut sauce was ok and the rice was also dry. No moist.

I recommend to not try the sate in this place.. complete let down.. for me personally. This place is off from my list.. Good luck if you still wanna go there.

If you're looking for something unmainstream, spicy, quality, and far eastern. You're looking at the right place. I loved the food, perfect amount of spice, and the portions are more than enough! Still the best ice tea I ever had. Amazing staff, they helped me alot for a person who if foreign to the names and flavors. I fully recommend this restaurant! You won't regret it.

My friends brought me here for lunch for the first time and I was totally blown away with how amazing their food was. Authentic indeed. I've tried other Indonesian restaurants but this one by far is the best, outdoor to sit and quite affordable for both, quality and quantity. The staff were friendly but the service could have been faster! Overall, I highly recommend this place.

Loved loved, amazing food.Good service.Really authentic i must say.Outdoor sitting so i enjoyed the experience, mega affordable.if you want authentic Indonesian i highly recommend this place

Bit disappointed with the service.
I ordered karedok, ask for no spicy but came out spicy.. ordered lumpia, the vegetables taste bad, not fresh.. but they least bother to take action, claiming it was fresh and made couple of days ago... really?!

My second time at Seleraku yesterday.

Had Iga Penyet for dinner. Mantap buanget ya ampun pedes berapi.

Must try !

Service is okay, friendly staff named Novi :)
.

Clean and comfortable place to eat with family and friends. Friendly and nice servers and owners. Good variety of food offered. Nasi penyet Ayam is good. Ikan balado with rice is delicious. My son enjoyed his mie bogor too. Caution: the sambal is really spicy but gives a good kick to the dishes. Banana fritter with cheese and choc sauce is a good dessert to end the meal. Price-wise: reasonable. Location: pretty easy to find using google map.

Been there quite a number of times, clean and spacious as not always busy.
Food 3/5 but honestly it is very affordable compared to some other asian restaurants. The staff there are so friendly. Will return definitely

Such a great place to try Indonesian cusine. Also great price. The people are friendly and they can help you understand food and culture. Not many people know about this place. Highly recommend it!

Seleraku offers traditional Indonesian food, typical of what you would eat in Indonesia, Bali or elsewhere in the Far East. Good in taste, flavour and portion size however the team lacks attention to details and service standards could have been better. Moderate pricing, so will definitely go back....
Jassim Ali
Acceptable food, but seemed more like a family business figuring things out. We ordered an Indonesian rice dish along with mee goreng. The food didn't really hit the mark. The gentleman who served us was friendly but struggled communicating. There were two ladies who seem to be amused on having guests at 730 in the evening. Overall I would perhaps visit at some other point to see if things have picked up.

Good authentic Indonesian food in Dubai. I started ordering from Selaraku since other Indonesian restaurants do not deliver anymore and I am now pleased and satisfied.

They have an extensive range of other items which are not on the menu, so you must ask them.
Syed Mohammed Javed
The place is clean and tidy. Original Padang food which is spicy and tangy. The nasi goreng was well done and the ayam goreng nasi bakar was delicious 😋. The jasmine tea was something different from the usual Lipton cold teas. The only negative point is The pricing. A bit on the exit expensive side. Still worth a visit to taste Indonesian cuisine

Food was great, love the sup buntut and the fried chicken was delicious, just wish the chicken was bigger though. The seating and environment in the shop was comfortable.

First time to tried indonesian cuisines and honestly saying food is really nice and great. I enjoyed it especially the ayam gorem nasi bakar. Staffs also they’re polite and really accomodating. I’ll definetely comeback and recommend to my friends.

Have been there couple days ago, but i still remember how the food was. They really need to improve the quality.
Me with 2 brothers and sister ordered Bakso Beranak, the bakso is still cold inside, my suggestion to put into the microwave first so it will be defrosted from the inside.
Sate Ayam and Sate Kambing, really need more color of grills, and the peanut sauce was tasteless.
Nasi Bakar, from platting are nice, the taste was so good, but the rice is not really cook properly.
Nasi Goreng, this was the best dish that we have on the table. I might comeback to see the improvements.
And it was disappointed cayse the price was incredible.
Citra Amran
One of the best Indonesia Restaurant in UAE. Must try Nasi bakar, Mie goreng, sate ayam and bakwan. The place is very clean. Ample parking. We always love to go there.
Ace Dede
It was an amazing dine experience, with amazing food, friendly staffs, great atmosphere.
The bakwan was soooo tasty, with peanut sauce (its different from any other bakwan that I tried in Dubai), pisang goreng also good, and bakso is the best!
For sure will come back

I'm a person who loves to try different cuisine and I was thinking of having Indonesian cuisine this time and when I was searching for it in zomato, I came to know about seleraku and I was tempted to try it out.

They have both indoor and outdoor seating and the place was really well maintained and the people working over there were really friendly and jovial.

I tried their satay ayam ( grilled chicken satay), ayam goreng Nasi bakar, Ayam goreng, Ayam penyat, fried rice seleraku special, Nasi goreng bakso, a whole lot of rice crackers, banana bhaji, and off course there dessert Es cendol ( coconut milk and palm sugar), Es teller (summer desert with mixed fruits), Es camper ( my favorite)

I was a bit upset because I love Milo drink and when asked about it they said it was over 😔 , but remaining everything was yummy and very different from other Asian food.

For more update follow me on Instagram @sweettoothboy

Always on the hunt for good Indonesian food in Dubai.
Unsure how I came about this place but it was bookmarked for a while. Yesterday I decided to take my husband here since we're avid fans of Betawi and try this place out.
We ordered the balado soup that wasn't on the menu (recommended by our waiter, which makes sense now considering it's a whopping AED 50 as opposed to AED 30 soups on the menu.
The soup was served in 2 bowls, one with some broth and egg noodles and rice noodles, the other with a massive meatball the size of my fist, stuffed with some egg and more meatballs! We cut the meatball in half and made two separate servings of the soup for each of us. Still not worth AED 50 though. I've had ramen that was cheaper and better than that
For mains, we ordered grilled duck with the different red and green chilli sauces. It was served with the chilli dips and some cabbage cucumber and tomatoes. We had a duck leg and thigh and it was very delicious. Definitely worth the AED 37.
We also ordered beef randang which was served with a cup of rice and I've honestly never had a bad randang.
Over all it was a delicious meal except for the soup priced at a ridiculous AED 50.
Definitely worth a visit but nothing close to Betawi still.
A table full of food is sometimes all you need.

Tried Indonesian Cuisine for the first time ever in this cute little restaurant located in Satwa and it was sure to please me.

Loved the sweet staff serving their customers diligently with lots of care.

for starters, we had this dish called Bakwang which is a mixture of vegetable covered in flour and then it is deep fried. It was served with some yum peanut sauce. also had some Seleraku special fried noodles. Where egg noodles were fried and what is brought in front you is a stunning dish altogether. Much WOW

Also tried Mie Ayam, a noodle dish with their Saleraku sauce which is made out the chicken mushroom and sweet soya sauce. Also had some yum healthy dishes, which included grilled chicken breast in a stick served with their special peanut sauce.

Desserts have to power to mend all your problems. Trust me. At Saleraku had some incredible yet unique deserts. One of the dishes I had there was deep fried banana topped with chocolate sauce and cheese.

Healthy Desserts? Well, it sounds very pleasing to me for sure. Had "Es Campur" a dish made up of some healthy mix of tropical fruits and jelly.

Super Delish this one was.

Missed eating authentic Indonesian food after the closure of Wok It in Bur Dubai. This new place in Satwa surely is in the same league... Tried Gado Gado, Bakso & Tempe Goreng with a massive teapot. Too bad sore throat did not let me order Es Cendol.........Two thumbs Up for this gem.

I really enjoyed the food and the service💖 this is the first time i ever try Indonesian food And honestly it’s sooo good am not even joking!! If you love asian food and love trying new things you should try it!

Indonesiaaaaa... If any one wats to try authentic Indonesian food, this is the place. Located in calm area and also has outdoor seating available. We tried Tumis Kangkung(veg) and for the first time i felt too good to eat that veg dish man and aslo Mie Ayam, the noodles taste was really good and fresh. I recommend you to try both the dish which fell into one of my favorite dish list. Check out the food pics which was shot on oneplus

Tried the food from here, it was good.
I had the beef with nasi bakar, very flavorful and herbaceous.
The portion is good, and very affordable.
The service is really nice, staffs are friendly they check back on home delivery which was very nice gesture.
Authentic Indonesian food, definitely recommended.

Went to an Indonesian restaurant for the first time with a friend, and the experience was amazing!
Located in Satwa, the restaurant is easily accessible and the food is well worth it.
Menue consists of variety of items including chicken, seafood, duck, etc.
For starters we ordered "Batagor" which is deep fried fish cake topped with peanut sauce and sweet soy sauce. Although I'm not a fan of peanut, but this was an amazing dish!
For main dishes, we got "Mie Ayam"(fried noodles with chicken), "Basko"(indonesian meatball soup), and "Bebek Cabe Hijau"(fried duck topped with green chilli sauce), and all of them were delicious. Mie ayam is my favourite and I'm going back to have it for sure :)
The carrot smoothie is a must to try! The flavour is very unique.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
The overall experience was great. Going back to try new dishes soon.

Seleraku is small, affordable restaurant in Satwa which serves authentic Indonesian food. The interior is nothing fancy, but it’s clean and doesn’t smell like a curry house. The food is very good, easily on par in terms of authenticity, quality and taste with Betwai Café or Mamak. Stand-outs for me were the Soto Mie Bogor, a spicy noodle soup dish which can be enjoyed as a light meal on itself.
Blessy
Until very recently, the only Indonesian food I'd had was the Nasi Goreng, but that changed when the lovely folks at Seleraku had me over to try a few of their traditional delicacies.
Seleraku is nestled in an easily locatable part of Al Satwa, and it's a cosy little restaurant owned by the sweetest and most passionate lady ever, and the restaurant serves good Indonesian food.

To start off our meal, we were given the Mie Ayam, which is a dish made of egg noodles with minced chicken cooked in lovely spices. The flavour was pretty different from the other Asian food that I've tried, but I really enjoyed this dish. It is accompanied by a kind of soup - beef balls in a broth, which was also pretty tasty.

Next, we were served the Chicken Satay. Now, I've tried a few varieties of Satay here, but this one was pretty different, traditional I must say, and the peanut sauce with it was just lovely.

Iced Chai - this was basically chilled Lipton tea (with milk). It was a bit different from the usual iced teas that you have, but I honestly liked this one a lot.

Carrot Smoothie - this was a normal carrot+milk smoothie, but it was refreshing and yummy.

For desserts, we tried three different delicious dishes
Es Cendol - a kind of drink made with sweetened coconut milk and rice flour jelly. Simple, but good.

Es Teller - now, this dish was new to me. It was made of a variety of chopped up fruits in a kind of rose milk. It was refreshing, sweet, had different textures because of the fruits, and was delicious.

Pisang Goreng Nutella - see, I'm always up for trying new desserts, and when we were served this tray of beautiful deed fried bananas with a jar of warm Nutella, I was thrilled! This is a one of the most popular dishes on the streets of Indonesia, and it's surprising how something as simple as deep fried bananas and Nutella can taste so very good.

Overall, this restaurant is what you'd call a comfort place. Great traditional food, super affordable prices, smiling and polite faces that welcome/serve you. Any reason to not visit again? Nothing.

I love far eastern cuisine, specially Malaysian and Indonesian halaal Street food . The Indonesian community here in dubai is really les in number and hence their synthetic restaurants are also less .

Seleraku is an Indonesian Restaurant opened up in Satwa , their main vision is to give their customers a homely Indonesian Street food .

I was served beef-rendang , it’s beef meat slow cooked with Indonesian herbs like lemon grass and red chilly and seasoned with coconut milk , it’s like a pulled beef consistency. It tasted really delicious.

The other dish I tried was satay ayaam, chicken satay served with peanut sauce ... I felt the satay could have been more hot and chargrilled , the flavors were great though

The next dish I tried was a noodle dish with chicken and mushroom , a soup is served along and it tasted really yum .

The food quantity is good and the price is also very decent not expensive and good thing is halaal food too . And yes they don’t use much fish sauce also . Definitely will go back to try more dishes .

The drink I had was ice tea and dessert I tried was es- teller , that’s a lite falooda kind dessert . It’s prepared in coconut water with rose syrup and coconut meat , and assorted fruits like jack fruit , avocado and crushed milk ice and jelly . The drink was really refreshing .

I felt the Interiors need a bit of change to get an Indonesian vibe

I say this with all honesty, there are 5 star restaurants and your neighborhood cafeteria, which depending in your mood and need, will fullfil that basic need of yours. These both extreme of places are good in its own right, the issue is finding that place you need to go at that moment of time. Seleraku, for me is one of them places where it gave me great satisfaction in all levels. its a medium sized restaurant serving authentic Indonesian cuisine ( one of the few in town). which has got Al Fresco dinning as well.

We started off with Gado Gado - which is a cooked mixed vegetable varties topped with peanut sauce, the flavours were great and perfectly balanced with the peanut sauce. The we tried the Batagor, which is traditional fried fish cake, not a big fan of wider variety of fried fish, but this one was pleasing, flavours were good. We had the Sop Iga - which is the ribs soup -it was not heavy and was able to enjoy it with the decent sized pieces of Ribs.

For the main we tried the Selaraku chicken special, this was sensational, trust me, they have put their name on this, hence you are genuinely ensured this is a quality dish. Presentation was simple but colorful, the taste was delish. We had a bit more space of the desserts and was recommended the Pisang Goreng Chocolate- which was deepp fried banana, served with chocolate and cheese, that was a wow... then came the Es Campur- which was coconut water, with mixed cut fresh fruits and variety of jellies and this took us to another level. Sir/Ma'am - when you visit them, you gotta try them.

During the course of the meal we had Mojito and Ice Tea and even the Indonesia ice tea. Overall, this was a visit which we really enjoyed. The food was soul, it captured thru essence of Indonesian cuisine because they import the ingredients from back home. The place is great, but needs a bit of change on the interiors, the customer service was excellent, they made us feel like home, there was genuine care. The price is reasonable and its value for money, good food that you can enjoy.

We left there with a content heart and tummy, we will come back again,Thank you so much guys.

Its the best indonesian restaurant so far, there’s alota dishes you can choose from , and my non indonesian friends also loved the food since it was the first time they tryed these kinda dishes , i would recommend this restaurant for hanging out , very chilled place , all indonesian staff just made me feel like im in Jakarta, amazing location its not as crowded as karama , lots of parkings.
Oh yeah and the price is just unbelievable !
The Muncher Family
Went with a friend to their Food. The place serves some seriously delicious Indonesian cuisine. All the dishes we tried had flavour and spices. We have tried Indonesian Cuisine before at Indo Indo. But to us this was a whole different experience. We would definitely recommend this restaurant for their food quality, good service and reasonable pricing! They are new in the market so you might not find good reviews about them. But trust us the food was worth a try!!

At first weeks newly opened they had some challenges in service. Months gap - they are already settled down. I must say that their mie goreng has won my preference compared the other indo outlets.

Their bakwan is the best by far!!! Loving it.

Pricing and portion is better than the other too. Just because the location is quite secluded, away from the common area where most cafes/rest are located, guests awareness is quite lacking. Transportation may be an issue too since no connection from metro nor bus stop.
Those who has cars, parking is not an issue.

Will try out other dishes to compare.

New Indonesian restaurant that recommended to try, taste was very good with affordable price and big portion. Be careful with their sambal because it is quit spicy. The waitresses also warm and patient explained all the menu.
