In a word, or a few: authentic British Desi.
Why did you close? We loved the place, the food and even the service.
Pity. So many future visits, gone to the dogs.
Great food excellent service and very polite staff. Must visit if you are on the palm. We ordered dal jalfrezi paneer curry.. both were awsm!! The tandoori roti and naan were perfectly made.. a perfect place for Indian food in Dubai.. must try chocolate ice cream here!!
The exact definition of a hidden Gem, in a spot behind palm trees lays this awesome place, affordable food and drinks pint @35 AED and main course @ 50 AED, Super friendly staff, a pool table in the middle of the place, very cozy, I seriously can’t believe I’ve never been here before, if anyone comes to this place after reading this and falls in love, I want credit for uncovering this Gem !!!

Will I be back ..... DEFINITELY !!!!!!
“Arjee Bhajee” I don’t know what this means. But, all I know it’s an one hidden gem secretly tucked in Shoreline 10 in Palm Jumeirah.
Food- delicious, tasty , appealing. Oh I have lost adjectives to say how yummy the food is. “Butter Chicken is finger licking 😋.
Being from India, finding Kingfisher beer is a treat in Dubai. Yes this fantastic place serves Kingfisher Beer which is of top notch quality.
Service is prompt and fast. Literally no flaws to highlight.
This place gotta be recognised and appreciate. Please do visit them and be surprised.
Fab restaurant with lovely service and brilliant food. Proper British Indian food with a great bar selection. Highly recommend the prawn tikka and lamb madras....Even has a pool table!

As a gastro explorer I am constantly on the search for those diamonds in the rough of today’s many options and continual discovery. When I walked into Arjee Bhajee I felt a tingle in my senses the second those streams of essences flowed into my cortex from the kitchen. Could this be one of those rare discoveries? For the gastronomes out there, this is not fine dining but rather a British-styled Curry House.
Located on the Palm Jumeirah, Arjee Bhaaje is already the talk of the town by serving finger-licking good British-styled curries and scrumptious concoctions. I was very curious to visit Arjee Bhajee but as those scents registered I was now ecstatic so here is a glimpse of my experiences:“With their unpretentious, inexpensive and well developed menu cleverly partnered with a laidback atmosphere, Arjee Bhajee is set to be a favoured British-Indian hotspot. Service is laudable and the staffs are very approachable with a charismatic sense of humour.”
Without realizing it I developed a cheeky smile on my face when we indulged in their CHICKEN MALAI TIKKA, perfectly flame-grilled chicken pieces immersed in a mild-flavoured marinade, absolutely wonderful. My obsession for seafood could barely control itself when we tried the TANDOORI PRAWNS which were the most succulent and flavourful prawns I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying, making them my favourite of the evening.
After superb appetizers we were eagerly set for the mains, BUTTER CHICKEN, which had a mild, sapid sauce that was perfectly paired with fragrant herbs and spices. The TANDOORI NAAN accompaniment was a consummate addition.
A comprehensive meal is partial without a finale leading us to the GULAB JAMUN, warm deep-fried milk balls soaked in sugar syrup which are phenomenal. Also ask for the KULFI, which includes MANGO, PISTA and MALAI KULFI which all delicately clean your palate leaving your taste buds with a tantalizing blend of memories you immediately crave to recall.
Congratulations Arjee Bhajee, you surpassed pleasure and satisfaction in my opinion. Will happily revisit this fabulous rare discovery in the near future…
Since my roots are Indian, I can’t help but love Indian food and I always look for new restaurants in town serving best of Indian gastronomy. Located in Palm Jumeirah Arjee Bhaaje is already talk of the town by serving finger licking curries and scrumptious Indian preparations. I was very intrigued to visit Arjee Bhajee, here is the glimpse of my experience.
Make no mistake, this is a true Brit curry house.
Really good tasty food with good size portions. Nice and spicy and none of that sweet creamy sauce rubbish you get with Masala and Korma.
The bhajees at 16dhs a bowl are delicious and 32 dhs for a pint of ice cold Kingfisher is palatable.
It's a no nonsense menu with each dish priced the same.
The only let down was the service. It's not the staffs fault it's a lack of numbers. A table for 6 people requires being serviced every 10 minutes or so and better knowledge on the breads and size of would have helped.
Other than that it's one of the best curry houses in Dubai and the ambience and setting are great.
We'll done Arjee Bhajee we will come back.
Very good value for money considering the location.
The sides are ok, however the Prawn Biryani and Butter Chicken are one of the best in the region. Will go back, and will eat more of the Prawn Biriyani.
Finally, a decent tasting British Curry house in Dubai. Lamb Madras just like how it was back home, garlic nan was great, pilau rice light & tasty, onion Bhaji perfect. Plus you can’t go wrong with a cold pint of Kingfisher for 30aed (cheap for the Palm).
I’ll be back again for sure.
The only major downside is the interior decor & ambience, it’s just not got that vibe. We sat outside in the garden anyways which was perfect at this time of the year.
I’d maybe get a few more Brit favourites on the menu if possible too.
Awesome food and service. Can't wait to go back. Great value for money too. A must for all curry lovers and the only licensed curry house in Dubai......
I wanted to visit this place since some time........as I just live across the street. So I went 2 weeks back with friends and this place is a complete surprise for Indian food lovers. They have marketed themselves as a british curry house....so I had a notion that the food would b a bit bland etc....but it totally suited my tastebuds. We ordered samosas, Dal tadka, chana masala, aloo gobhi, chicken biryani, cucumber raita and Chicken tikka masala, all the dishes were great.
The food is definitely not much oily, the tandoori rotis don't have maida in them (being an indian it concerns me), the complimentary poppadums are great along with mint chutney and some salad.
The icing on the cake is the alcohol they serve and we do get Kingfisher draught here. So its totally a win win situation for everyone. Good indian food with drinks n decent ambience just across the road on palm is a luxury :)
When I heard there was going to be a licensed, British curryhouse opening soon, I knew I had to go check it out, so I headed down to the Palm with a buddy, to see if Arjee Bhajee (oh, the hilarity!) could deliver on its promise to bring an authentic experience. It wasn’t what I was expecting inside at all. It looked quite bare, the main features being a few curry puns on the wall, some painted bulldogs and a British pool table in the centre. None of this was a major issue issue for me – but from going to countless restaurants and bar openings over the last year, it’s strange to see a place that’s so low-key visually (but in fairness, what British curryhouses are fitted out immaculately anyway?).
