So started my weekday lunch with Tandoor and Tadka , dahi de kebab in starters. Dal Tadka is awesome and Mutton Rogan Josh is really mouth watering , with Mix Breads.
Also enjoy a sweet glass of lassi.
Service is also very quick and nice.

This place is closing down.it used to be very good but probably wasn't managed well. They have already stopped deliveries. They do have one of the best butter chicken chef in town. Look out for where he is relocating.
This place serves some really delicious food and the best part is, whenever I come to this place I get an amazing treatment from the staff, especially Ajay. This guy knows what goes best with what. I specially ask for him when I come. I’ve moved to Dubai sports city but the food at Tandoor and Tadka keeps bringing me back.
This place comes close to the food you love in delhi, authentic north indian food and flavors. We ordered the murg biryani, palak paneer and butter naans. Definitely coming back for more

Awesome food... if u from north India and missing Delhi wala or chandigarh wala butter chicken and dal makhani... this is where u order... food is a little spicy so kindly give instructions for mild spicy if u cant handle spices... a very generous quantity so order accordingly... quick service and very polite staff...

Basically we Indians are fond of tandooris, kebabs etc. and I have visited there with huge expectation but after tried the food I can say my overall experience was good.

Through the different incarnations of this restaurant from al kauser to raaga and now tandoor and tadka I have always enjoyed the food here. Have ordered home, to the office and visited with colleagues and never disappointed.
One of my favorites and highly recommended is the mutton biryani. Pity it wasn't in contention for that biryani award.
Other winners are the dal ghosh and seekh kebab, Dahi ke Shami kebab and mutton Bhuna.
I also feel they are the least oiliest of this category of restaurants.

Visited the Restaurant couple of times since the change of the name, and loved it overall. Their Tandoori roti is inimitable. Every Dish we ordered be it Galouti Kabab, Chicken Tikka, Chicken Tikka Masala, Daal Sultani, Balti Gosht and Shahi Tukda was luscious. Located in the Heart of the city (Karama) and having a parking just next to it is no less than a blessing. Do visit if you are fond of Spicy Awadhi Dishes.

We decided to venture into a restaurant we haven't been to. So we parked our car and entered this joint. Just a random decision.
As soon as we walked into the restaurant we could smell a nice fragrance of Awadhi food. The staff was very welcoming. Since it was iftar time they served us with a rose drink. They even served us some complimentary papad and onions. However the ambience is not authentic enough. It's pretty simple looking on the inside.
We ordered for Gallawti Kebab, Til wale Aloo and Vegetarian Dum Biryani for the mains. The Kebab was spicy and melted in the mouth, but I think I would still prefer a Sheekh over Gallawti. I liked the til wale aloo, because of the sesame seeds that gave a nice crunch to the dish. The Biryani was really fragrant, as I could smell the Kewra essence as soon as the Biryani was opened. However the same did not could not be said about the taste. I feel a little more masala would have enhanced the flavour of the Biryani.
For dessert we went in for gulab jamun and shahi tukda. Gulab jamun was average, it was slightly extra soft. But the shahi tukda was the highlight of the entire meal. It's the best shahi tukda I've ever had. May not be authentic, but the mawa on top made all the difference.
I would keep coming back for their shahi tukda, if not anything else.
Food was very good. Biryani wasn't upto the mark. Service could have been a bit faster. We ordered for shahi tukda which was very good. Tandoori aloo was also very good. But the kebab was very filling.
I am not writing this for any other reason than out of sheer joy that I felt here. Every bite made me say Subhan-allah !!

Erstwhile Al Kauser, order food from Raaga once every week. Decent quality, good preparations, excellent service. The real plus is quick home delivery.
Like their galawati kababs, dal makhani, balti ghosht. The only problem is the amount of oil in the gravy dishes. But that might be true of most of the Indian restaurants in town
Food was excellent but service was good at all. We waited for almost 49 minutes to get our starter. We tried Kakori Kabab with Paratha, it was so smooth, soft and aromatic , Awesome !!! Biriyani was also good, not much fiery spicy but was aromatic as we expected from an Awadhi restaurant, had the right balance of taste. We also had chicken butter Masala , it had little overdose of salt but tasted different from standard Punjabi butter Masala but liked it. For Food, i would rate 4.9 out of 5. For ambience, hygiene, cleanliness, and service I would rate 3.0.

Placed at a corner of a street next to many different restaurants with various cuisines, this restaurant caught our eyes. Wondering what authentic awaadhi cuisines were, we entered the restaurant. The atmosphere was quaint and pleasing. We ordered Malai Kabab, Batli Gosht, Butter Chicken, Kashmiri Dum Aloo, Masala Chai, Normal Chai, and lastly Gulaab Jamun. The food was delicious and rich in taste. The Gulaab Jamun was alright not that different from other Indian restaurants. The Malai kabab was juicy and soft, the batli gosht was scrumptious and had a blast of flavors.The major disadvantage of this restaurant was the service, even though we were the only ones in the inside part of the restaurant and the outside part was empty, we got our food very late. Also, some of the sweets were not available which were written in the menu as we wanted to try them all. The servers were not very helpful in giving us advice on different foods to try. Also, the washroom was dirty and not working. On the whole, it was an alright experience, would go there again for the batli gosht and malai kabab.

1. GALAWATI kebab - Melt in your mouth....Somebody need to tell you that it is made with meat....Superb taste....Even a baby who doesn't have tooth can enjoy this.
2. KAKORI kebab - good but can be done better
3. WARQI parota - a little sweet but soft. Very good with the kebabs
4. Butter chicken - Nice but had better butter chickens as well
5. Panner butter masala - well done...worth a try

Veg food platter wasn't that yum but I liked dahi kababs ! Over all food was average price is reasonable and delivery was on time !
This restaurant serves delicious awadhi cuisine! We've been here to dine a couple of times,so for me this is 'The Place' for 'Lucknowi khana' in Dubai so far.
Balti Gosht,Qorma,Galauti,Kababs,Paratha are my personal favourite here!
The restaurant is located on the main road apposite Bur-Juman. Parking is easily available beside it (Pathan parking).
Note: My first visit to this restaurant was in 2011. Then it was aptly named 'Al Kausar'. Brimming with connoisseurs & busy waiters serving fragrant dishes in copper 'Handi' & 'Balti' one could also firsthand witness the hospitality of Lucknow among the buzz of people savouring awadhi delicacies with their family & loved ones!

Then came the food & my soul was thoroughly satisfied!
But somehow over the years 'Kausar' became 'Raaga' & in the process lost a little of it's grandeur it enjoyed. Nevertheless,away from 'home' connoisseurs do still rekindle that sparkle from time to time!
Excellent food, perfect service. All fresh and well made, taste was superb. As we had two really tired kids restaurant offered free and fast delivery to our hotel. And it was so, we reached hotel and had time to wash our hands when food was delivered. Price was for that quality and portions really reasonable. Highly recommend!

OMG!!! Just waaaaaay tooo good! Literally my favorite butter chicken in town... scrap that, one of my favorite Indian restaurant in town so far.
Good & quick service. It's just a quiet place with excellent food. Main purpose to go is the food. We literally ordered a ton of food & ordered it twice because it was that good & left the place happily overstuffed.
The main favorites were:

This is awadhi foot joint & typically makes the Lucknowi style food with good blend of spices. Though haven't visited the place yet but happen to order lunch from here. We ordered galawati kebabs, dahi ke shami kebabs, grilled malai chicken, keema naan & dum phukt murg birayni, everything was justifying the taste but the top lister were kebabs "really really good". They give free yogurt as well.
Caution : All those who cant take more spices don't go for galawati kebab 😀

Walked into the restaurant with a friend and we both were extremely hungry looking for some delectable dishes to stuff our tummies with. The ambiance was quite peaceful, definitely a place where families can dine with both indoor and outdoor seating available. So for the starters we ordred dahi ke kabab and mutton seekh kabab, and both of them were just a treat for the tongue, melting away in our mouths filling it with the perfect taste- savoury and spicy. For the main course we ordred kadhai paneer, which was again delicious, considering it is really difficult to find a place which serves good kadhai paneer with rich gravy and properly roasted spices . For the sweet we ordered shahi tukda which could have been better. Service was excellent, staff very amiable. The waiter actually gave me a 10% discount on my Emirates NBD card even though I was unaware about it. In all, we walked out with extra stuffed tummies and a definite resolution of returning back to try more dishes.

Heard about this restaurant from a friend. If you are north Indian (non punjabi) food lover, this restaurant provides a good option of Awadhi cuisine. Go here for good tasty food as the ambience is not very encouraging. We had Friday lunch here. Dahi ke Kebab are different here and delicious. We liked the Biryani too much as the the spices were kind of well mixed with the rice which were different here than other places. Chicken tikka, Paneer Seekh kebab, Daal Makhani were like regular.

Have ordered in a mix of non-vegetarian appetizers all of them were soft, hot and delicious. Devoured within a few minutes of arrival. Haven't visited them personally, only ordered in. Delivery time was decent at about 20-25 minutes.

I was quite apprehensive when Al Kauser changed their name. It had been my go to place for dilliwala mughlai food from the time I came to Dubai. But they've tried to remain true to the original flavours.
They serve one of the best Butter chicken(the dilli/ north style) and is something which will remind every delhi guy about pandara road.
My other absolute favourites are:
- balti gosht
- galawati kabeb
It was my first time to be here..but i never expected the the taste of the food is soooo good ,good ambiance ,Must try their ,dhai kabab and daal makhni. I would like to visit again to explore more dishes..😊

Situated just in front of Burjuman mall the restaurant has quite a visibility and parking beside though it's private but parking space is available, recommended by a friend I went in to try,
The ambience was soothing and staff was greeting and welcoming, I ordered Paneer butter masala and aloo gobhi Jalwa with Garlic butter naan, it took a little time but the patience was worth when tried the food..even the basic aloo tasted great and paneer was also very good... Taste/gravy /mix of spices , all were in rhythm to give a wonderful vegetarian dining experience , staff is friendly, service is quick. Only thing is that it takes them a little time to cook probably because it's cooked fresh...highly recommendable from my side .. Will surely be a regular here....

Favorite delivery option. By Far. Their Butter chicken is near damn perfect and the Daal Makhani is probably the best these North-Indian Tate buds of mine have savoured anywhere leaving aside the dhabas on the outskirts of Delhi enroute to various 'hill-stations' and Pandara Road.
The butter chicken is sublime. Clean flavors. Not too spicy. The chicken is soaked through and melt-in-mouth worthy. They do both, a regular version and a boneless one. Frankly it’s the gravy that makes the dish for me.
The Daal is creamy and enriched with some excellent spices to give the right ‘kick’. Again, not too spicy but enough to want more.
Also worthy are the Dahi kebab, which are obviously best had as dine-in, rather than delivery option given that they are curd based and lose the texture when encased in aluminum delivery containers. I have actually forced people to walk the 15 minutes from my house from behind Burjuman to the spot just for this dish.
The tandoori rotis and rumalis are adequate, and essentially just a delivery vessel for the daal or chicken or anything else one may fancy.
I have also tried their mutton balti and it too is a great dish. The mutton is really soft and the gravy is rich. Even my wife, who is a chicken-terian, has a bit of the gravy from the mutton serving… its that good.
This review is late since this restaurant has been our go-to option whenever the inclination hits. Though the name changed, the chef/s did not. I pray for the status-quo or a great sous chef learning all the skills.
Their delivery is fairly reliable and on-time. I have yet to be disappointed on this aspect even once.
After a long time had finger licking authentic Indian food. Very friendly n soft spoken staff. Nice ambience with light indian music. Now we have a reason to come this side from TECOM just to have this awesome tasty food... Definitely gonna reccomend to all of our friends.

Thank you Raaga to satisfy my Butter chicken craving the best possible way. It was delicious, wholesome, correctly spiced with chilly and Kasuri Methi, right amount of cream and tomato exactly the way the legendary Pandara road eateries make it. Not that I need more butter but they could have put a lil more. Anyways no scope for complaining becoz this is the best butter chicken I have ever eaten in Dubai!! I also ordered a Dal Tadka which was nice too.
I am definitely trying more dishes from Raaga and many more rounds of the sumptuous Butter Chicken.

The murgh makhni brought back memories of Delhi, it was top,
The dal makhni was flavorful, thick and couldn't afford to waste a single drop.
Roomali roti and warqi paratha were superb and with the gravies a super hit,
If you are craving for non veg desi food surely don't miss it.

Though i passed this place n number of times, i dint really bother to try it out until recently. We were craving north indian food and wanted to try a new place. Its right on the main road with indoor and outdoor seating. Its not very big on the inside and i felt they can do a little better with the interiors.. Anyway, so we ordered
1. Butter chicken- which melted in the mouth and was a fusion of punjabi and awadhi cuisine.
2. Laccha parantha/ tandoori rooti- were both crisp, buttery and thin as we like it
3. Shahi tukda- i have had this in many places and not everyone can make it well bt raaga nailed it.. Just melted on the mouth with just the right amount of rabei topping.
On the whole me and my husband really loked the food. They even give papad on the house while u r waiting fr d food( i mentioned this cause i love papad.😆)We have also ordered paneer butter masala frm here which was also very good and der delivery is quick and neatly packaged. We were looked after by Vishu here who told us tat the chefs r brought in frm lucknow and d food is a fusion of delhi and lucknow food.he was courteous as all d other staff, service was quick and price fine.

Raaga was one of my friend's recommendation and thank god for that. For a long time now i was missing the indian taste in the so called Indian food in Dubai. On our first visit we ordered butter chicken and it was delicious. With the mint chutney and papad, it tasted just perfect. The next time we tried balti mutton and no wonder it was perfect too. The meat was soft and very well cooked with all whole spices.

This place was suggested by my bro in law as he keeps trying new kebab places. I heard all praises for their galoti kebabs, mutton seekh kebabs and chicken kebabs. I went there to exclusively to try their all kebabs and briyani. Surprisingly we all were quite happy with all the food items. Have no complaints but still I won't call them the best kebab place hence giving 3.5. If they maintain their quality and improve their service they might get 4 rating the next time I visit. Kebab lovers go try it out...The parking lot beside the restaurant gives you free parking if you are dining at Raaga.
I asked 'Z'- best biryani in karama, and Raaga came up as the top contenders. We trooped in at 2 pm yesterday [friday]. Food 4/5, ambience 1/5, service 3.5/5. As recomended by reviewers on 'Z', we ordered 1 chicken and mutton handi biryani, balti ghost, butter chicken, bread basket, lassi [total 8 pax]. Food - portions were generous. Bread basket was overflowing, biryani was plenty, butter chicken was delicious and the chicken biryani was great. Balti ghost strictly ok. Ambience - it was 40 degrees outside but felt hotter inside. Honestly my guests didnt enjoy the place as much as it was very hot and the a/c cooling was just not nough. There were only 2 servers who also doubled up at the cash counter, answering calls etc. As expected when this happens you dont get the required attention and there were delays in service. If the management can sort this out will be a great place to visit. Reccomend this place.

Just the thought of this restaurant and I am already hungry.
Previously known as ALKAUSER the renowned North Indian food outlet. Although the name and management has changed, the core has remained the same, same food, same chef and servers.
Just try their Galouti Kebabs and Warqi Paranthas and trust me you would be giving me more than a helpful vote!

There are very few places in Dubai which can boast of an authentic Awadhi cuisine. Raaga is one such restaurant in the 'Khau gallis' of karama.
So we decided to try out the awadhi non veg delicacies here. The restaurant is not very big and is sober in its traditional look. So we started off with one of their specialities: Lucknowi galawti kabab. And it was just as expected. Hot, spicy, rich aroma and melted in the mouth with the first bite. And the best part was the slight burning sensation down the tummy.
Now we that we were feeling like the nawabs of Lucknow, we ordered Gosht burrah with Roti followed by the Awadhi Dum pukht Murgh Biryani. The dishes were nicely cooked, the meat was tender and succulent and the aroma was rich and stood out from the regular non veg cuisines. The spices were distinct and the waiter was kind enough to fill us on the kind of spices used.
Some of the dishes do take time to get cooked to perfection. It was really filling and we ended the culinary delights with shahi tukda. I would definitely love to return and try out some other varieties in their menu.

Absolutely delicious food. All four of us agreed the taste was authentic Indian. Everything was made fresh to order including the chai!
