FOOD - They serve cakes and coffee but I didn't try it because my purpose of visit is to play with the cats.
SERVICE - Average. Nothing special.
PLACE - Accessible along Jumeirah Road near Umm Suqeim Library.
PRICE - Very affordable, it cost around 30 AED per person for the entrance fee with free water, tea or coffee. The fees will go for the cat food and other needs like vaccinations.
The cats are well looked after and very friendly. Some even came over to sit on our laps.
It is Dhs30 to go in - that covers a selection of drinks and the welfare of the cats which is reasonable, although for some reason coffee was not in the included list.
Definitely worth a visit for any cat lover. Not that easy to get to on public transport, we took an Uber.
Love love love this place. The staff is very nice. Decent variety of food and beverages. The highlight though, are the resident cats. My current favorites are Reem and Shakira. Definitely coming back again and again for the fur bubbies.
Love for Cats?? Here is your Spot a Cat cafe with almost 20 cute cats! Imagine yourself in between cats, play around, pet them, touch them, or they may even sleep next to you 😄😃
35aed for 1.5 hours which includes Tea or Water as well
Although you may order cakes, biscuit separately.
Space is not big enough but its worth it to make yourself happy around cats.
On Weekends its so crowded, Best time to go is Week days, Day time or Evening.
Place is relaxing but don’t expect good food. Coffee is okay and you can tell that some of the cats are aloof but the domestic cats are the sweetest. When you visit please dont be all over too much with the cats. Let them smell you and get to know you first so they won’t get scared and will voluntarily come to you. Staffs are not welcoming. They should hire people who are active and approachable. Smells litter everywhere but I don’t mind because it’s normal.
Let me clear up something for you upfront - it’s not a regular cafe to have a coffee. It’s a cat cafe where the biggest thing on the menu is unlimited (well, limited to 1.5 hours) fun with amazingly cute cats. You are not going there for hospitality or eating/ drinking so please don’t expect good food or coffee - if you indeed like it, consider it a bonus.
Go there if you love cats and want to spend some time with them. You will come back a happier person. Though, I would have loved had cats been a little more active, but that’s something which is difficult to teach
I have been wanting to visit this place for many years and heard so much about the cafe. They have almost 10 to 12 cats inside the cafe. For a charge of 30 aed per person, you can get to have an entry inside the cafe inclusive of 1 soft drink/tea/water. All other items from the menu are additional charges. The cats are really sweet. The rating is just based on the experience at the cafe with the cats. You get so occupied playing with them that you don't really land up ordering anyhting from the menu 😸
We went here in September 2015. The place is quite small for all the cats, most of them are sleepy, not too playful, but very sweet and various breed. Hair is everywhere because there are a lot of cats and I can understand, but they should take more care about the cleaning. The staff from the restaurant is quite clumsy, and the food not really good. So they should improve their cleaning and food. Cats are nice and sweet nothing to change about it :).
