I have been hearing a lot about this age-old restaurant for a while now. How can I stop myself from going there when I know that they sell the best chilly chicken and parotta (5/5) in UAE? Yes, guys, this Najaf restaurant near to Deira clock tower serves finger-licking chilly chicken (5/5) and cut chicken (5/5). No wonder, they are getting delivery even from Al Ain and Umm Al Quwain. The parotta (5/5) was the best with crispy layers, and the chappathi (5/5) was super soft and yummy!
If you are around this area, don't forget to try their delicious food at economical rates. Though the cafe looks small from outside, it is spacious with seating facility available in the upstairs.
The staffs are lovely, and the service was fast.
Najaf has definitely one of the best parotas. We usually order breakfast from there along with Qeema anda chanaa etc.
This place is quite famous for its yummy food and you won't regret ordering or eating from Najaf.

Memorable breakfast had from here on EID day with cousins. Malabari Restaurant which is near to Deira clock tower. Adequate dinning space and pocket friendly prices are the advantage seen over here.

Best Chicken 65 = Najaf! I have been visiting this restaurant since childhood whn it was first located in Naif road ,opp.Naif police station. Since then i am in love with their Chicken 65 and porotta.
Simple place with big taste in the food. Delicious hot and sour chicken soup. Excellent chicken masala with rice. Excellent service from the happy staff. Very affordable prices. I recommend this place for good meal.

Been visiting this place since 25+ years previously at naif road, we specially like the vegetable jaipuri chicken 65 and Fish fried or BBQ, upstairs for families is good, as at peak hours specially on weekends downstairs is crowded, the best thing is they make food to your order if you mention to them you need less oil or less spicy, smiling staff, Parathas are nice specially they make Wheat Parathas ( Like wholewheat bread) a healthier option, tried most dishes all ok, No credit cards accepted is a Big Minus in this Modern times, point of sale to get Modernized.

If anyone knows about najaf, it would be their chicken 65 and porotta. If you are health conscious its better not to try lol !! My friend told me about this restaurant few weeks ago. she told its an old restaurant and they used to buy chicken 65, for what they are famous for. i planned to go there many times, but dont know i couldnt find to go there. this weekend, we were near to it and i decided to go for it.
its located near to clock tower, and easily visible on road side. the restaurant is having family rooms upstairs and we went there. the service was very slow. no one came to take the order about 10 minutes. fianlly a server came after pressing the bell so many times. i ordered chicken 65 with porotta, pathiri and appam. the delivery came after some time. the 65 was a delight to see.normally 65 comes as dry , but this one is a special preparation, chicken pieces made with thick gravy. i enjoyed the taste but my wife couldnt. i think those who liked sour and sweet taste together will like it for sure. i really need to go there again soon. the porottas, appam and pathiri was nice. i ordered a lessi, and it was good.
overall i enjoyed the food, only their service lacks a punch.

The legendary chicken 65 with porotta at Najaf Restaurant LLC near Clock tower roundabout Deira.
The restaurant is more than 30 years old which tingles many Dubai residents nostalgic memories. Their dish named chicken 65 is a thick gravy of chicken which has a flavour of tomato sause which goes well with porotta. Once you have it , get addicted to it. One full Chicken 65 costs AED 40.00 which is good for four people. Half plate costs AED 22.00.
We tasted their chicken fry too which was crispy and nice. Costs AED 40.00 for one plate.
The 5-star rating is purely for their Chicken 65 and Kerala Poratta.
A 30+-year-old restaurant earlier situated opposite Naif Police Station and now adjacent to Clocktower roundabout.
The chicken 65 is the most divine dish they have and they have maintained the recipe and taste for the last 30 years. The first bite of it every single time brings back childhood memories of going to this restaurant on Thursday with mom and dad.
The other dishes to try are their Beef fry and Beef Curry.
I would everytime go there and order their Chicken 65 and porota.
Now that's what I call a Signature Dish. The tangy Chicken 65 at #najaf has been a favorite for decades now. A must try it is. Mission Accomplished and relieved. Burp :D

I ordered panner tikka, jalfrazi, and jaipuri. All the curry had the same Color but they all tasted very different. As I said it has a tangy taste. The food was fresh and hot. And overall it had a great taste.
A decent restaurant serving Indian food at reasonable price.

I have always believed that restaurants cannot be graded based on only their ambience or only their good.
Najaf restaurant is one such example. Go to Najaf only for its food and nothing else. Undoubtedly they make the best Chicken 65 in the entire UAE. It has been so for past decade and half or maybe more. I have grown up eating from this restaurant.
They also offer lot of other Indian delicacies but nothing beats their USP which is the Chicken 65. It is best to have with Crispy Parotta.
Ambience is not very great. The family hall is better.
Cost for two around 50.00 Dhs.

We especially my husband is a big fan of their chicken 65.the best combination is porotta.dry fry is also good.Eventhough they have added food color and lot of oil once in a while u can hav I think.
Another dish which I like is prawns fried rice which has got nice flavor.seating and ambience isn't anything to talk about.it got recently renewed.pricing is also not high.

Its good average priced restaurant. Chicken 65 with Kerala parota and mutton fried rice are the main attraction. Not much great desserts to finish with.
Oh Yes....The chicken 65!! One bite of this flavorful delicacy with the Malbari Paratha took me down memory lane. The same flavor, the same taste, the most authentic 65 from the bylanes of Dubai. I visited this place after a good 10 years and oh boy!! the taste and the richness of the gravy remains the same. We also ordered the beef fry and the chicken cut fry just to distract ourselves from the 65 awesomeness. The beef fry was more of small coconut chunks and less of beef. The chicken cut fry was just small pieces of chicken - fried. Nothing to write home about. But yes, i can write long odes to the 65. Deliciousness quotient - Number 1. Either you visit Najaf and have ONLY the 65 and the Parathas, or just do a simple takeaway, but yes, stick to the Chicken 65 and the Parathas ONLY. Yummylicious :-)
One of the rare restaurants in this area that deliver breakfast as early as 8.30. For the price, the food is good. Indian and South Indian food.
Are you craving for chicken 65?? This is the place. Actually this is one of the oldest Indian restaurant in this area. They are famous for chicken 65. It is soo tasty. And the gravy is so thick and the negative part is the addition of food colors. Rest all good. chicken dry fry and beef coconut fry are equally delicious. And Kerala parathas and appams are good too . And please try to stick to these dishes. Other dishes are not that much good. Not so expensive also. Good and friendly staffs also. Recently they renovated the place and it gives a new and fresh look.
The chicken cultlet is must try dish. This is not a normal like you see in other restaurants or in supermarket. The size stands out , quite a big one and once you have it , your stomach will be full.the shape if I remember was big heart shaped. The price is 10dhs for each. You find this in only in this restaurant, got to try it again after 25 years. Same taste->yummy

The ambiance is just fine to visit with friends/family. Though i prefer coming here with Friends more.
Their service is pretty fast considering the amount of rush whenever i visit.
Coming to the food, I have been going to this place since they started and have experienced several ups and downs of the dishes. But the one thing they have been consistent with and have been thriving on is the Chicken 65 with parathas. Its an all time favourite of me and my friends. The chicken is tender, juicy and spicy, which I just what I prefer. The parathas are really soft, but lil oily. WORTH TRYING for sure!

Best Indian Malabari biryani and the real home recipe. Aapam and fish mango curry also very delicious.
Try out the najaf 65 (chicken). The best curry I have ever had from any hotel.
