Amazing food quality no compromise as we visited last time. So humble and gentlemen people for their customers. Best food variety and ambience. We availed their valet service which removes half of headache.
I went there along with 2 friends. The ambience was great. The staff and manager were super friendly. We just ordered one small Wakha platter suggested by the manager. It was more than enough for 3 of us. We were served complimentary lentil soup followed by the platter. The kabli pulao came along with the meat starters in the platter. The meat was really great and so was pulao. Well to stay in our budget at kind of high end restaurant, I used zomato pro offering 15% discount on the total bill. Overall the Dining and food experience was far more above my expectation and Wakha platter is a must if you visit Wakha Restaurant.
Such a divine place to eat afghani food, amazing pulao, kadai, naan, bbq. I strongly recommend them to all the people.. It is a must visit place
Very popular for the Afghani & Shinwari Cusinie .
The food was exceptionally delicious and hospitality was even better .
Ordered :
Mix grill with Afghani Pulao .
A huge piece of shank meat , so tender and juicy that it fell right off the bone .
Lightly flavoured with only salt and cooked in its own juices .
The meat was well cooked and what i most loved was there not even slightest of odour as at a lot other places .
Portion was good enough for 3-4 people .
A combination of different cuts of mutton , chicken and kabab .
Lamb Karahi :
Soft tender pieces of mutton cooked in a tomato gravy with own fat —Delicious !!!!
Served along with bread .
Soup was complimentary is a must try .... rich chicken broth with some vegetable , chickpeas and whole wheat .
No extra spices or oil , authentic meat flavour . 5/5 stars for that !!
Branches all over DUBAI , this is must visit place.
Better ambiance and spacious than Al Barsha branch
We ordered for home delivery for Friday Lunch
Chicken Kabuli Pulao was very good. But I would prefer Lamb or beef.
Chapal Kebab was good
Chicken boneless karahi was disappointing
Afghani Nan were good.
Wakha restaurant afghani and Shinwari cuisine 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 best lamb afghani pulao highly recommended but you have to cut your own salad because it is served whole. The yum tender meat falls off the bones
10 stars on the taste as usual :) 👍
Nice setup in the new branch in Umm suqeim.. though portions are bigger at barsha branch
Prices r a bit high n takes longer than usual to serve food plz increase ur food portion :)
The place is actually much much better than Barsha. Really nice decor with sheesha option as well. Chapli kebabs and afgani pulao are sublime as always. For the budget foodie the price may be higher so it is more suited for get togethers and family outings

Wakha completely knows its meat game! So good!
Wakha has opened its 3rd branch located in Jumeirah. I truly enjoy Afghanistan cuisine and Wakha has been one of my favorite places for quite a while now. They serve the best Keema naan if you’re looking to try. The mixed Kabuli platter is a must-try. A huge dish with pulao and all the meats you can imagine. The kebabs and chops are fantastic.
Wakha serves some authentic Afghani food. the Jumeirah branch serves sheesha. Ordered the blueberry flavor it was smooth! Nice ambience to sit outside in this weather. The chapli kabab was fantastic and filling. Prices were abit expensive. Valet parking is available. The staff is extremely friendly. Loved the experience. Good quality and fresh food. Their pulao and grill items are must try.. karahi have shinwari fat n hence smell and hence not for all.. only if they could improve on their waiting time that would be great . It took 30minutes to serve food despite I called 30min before reaching. Hence management should review food serving time. Otherwise a gem of a place
I left in this place with full tummy and looking forward to taste again this kind of food.
This is a specialised shinwari and afghani cuisine restaurant from eastern Afghanistan and Pakistani tribal valley area. They have taken the whole villa with double storied seating arrangements alongwith outside seating with a small fountain and pool and a huge ▪︎TV displaying sports and other events.
•The cutleries were nice with rustic pastel colours and matt finish, and unique shapes.
•Shisha is a popular smoking option here.
Service is quite good and friendly, though the time taken to serve is generally more than the peers. I am told that only after taking the orders, they make everything from scratch and that delays the serving, but the •positive factor is the food is totally fresh.
The speciality of the quite vast menu is typical Afghani and quantity is quite large for each and evey items.
•The price is also matching and so a random meal is value for money only when you are in a bigger group!
●Our orders-
1. Complimentary Chicken soup- extremely nutritious and balanced mix of noodles, chicken slivers and vegetables.
2. Chapple kabab- 63 dhs. Three pieces of round and flat, thick large kababs of minced meat, something like the pakistani Chapli kabab-but more coarse than them. Tomatoes, whole spices add up to the taste.
3. Kabuli pulao- 63 dhs. Huge quantity of simple pulao with some typical carrot slivers and raisins. Somehow the taste was not close to what I have taken from other afghani restaurants.
4. Kabuli naan. Large. 8 dhs.
5. Lamb karai. 83 dhs. Primarily boneless cubes of meat cooked in a tomato based thick and sparse gravy. A bit different in taste. Minimally spicy. Felt the cost being unusually high.
6. Their branded water at 12 dhs.
7. Complimentary salad of reasonable quantity.
8. They sign you off with some complimentary qahwas, which is not bad at all.
The place seems to have picked up quite well among the expats and the locals alike.
Don't look for the fine delicate cuisine here. It's a robust full bodied meat and rice speciality place.
When in a meaty mood with loads of carbs , this will be the place to go ,in a group.
Me and my friend went for dinner 2 days ago .the 1st impression which I developed about this restaurant was the gorgeous exterior and interior of the restaurant on jumeirah beach road just opposite to kite beach .it was an wonderful location.they have valet parking facility too .we sat outside to enjoy the beautiful weather while having the shinwari cuisine ,the 1st such culinary experience for me .we ordered the following
Mixed veg & chicken soup ,salad, chapple kebab ,afghani nan ,Kabuli polao and shinwari lamb .as we were so full after the main course that we couldnt order for the dessert .
Soup was quite refreshing
Chapple kebab met with my expectation both in terms of size and taste .afghani nan was ok .shinwari lamb deserves special mention as it was so succulent ,delicious yet non spicy.kabuli pulao was good .overall the portion was too high for us who are basically small eaters .
My overall rating is 4/5.
Best of luck.

Last week we tried out a new, albeit very traditional cuisine, which we had never had the chance to sample before. I am talking about the Shinwari cuisine at Wakha. Their third outlet in Dubai, the Jumeirah brach of Wakha Restaurant is built with a rather eclectic flair, falling in line with the style and substance of the locality. Glitzy mirror work on the walls, velvet seats and tall chandeliers are just some of the highlights. Not to mention a private majlis on the upper level, complete with floor seating and curtain partitions.
Afghani Cuisine is one of my favorites and I am up for a Kadhai and Naan anytime. I recently went for dinner at the new Jumeirah Branch of Wakha and was so happy to finally dine in instead of ordering in. We sat outdoors because the weather was amazing.
We were offered fresh juices and I ordered one with a mix of Orange and Pomegrenate. The juice was fresh, without sugar and balanced out the spices of the meal.
We were served their Wakha Platter which is their version of Mixed Grill and it was served with their famous kabuli rice. The kebabs were right out of the grill with Meat and Chicken options. The dish was good for 3-4 adults. I loved how tender the meats were and I could taste the spices in each and every bite.
We then tried their Lamb Shinwari Kadhai which was my favorite specially with the fresh hot naans. The kadhai was tomato based with spices and green chillies.
We finished off the meal with their Kahwa & Sheesha which settled in so much food perfectly.
All their staff were so hospitable and served us very well.

I am always curious about Afghani and Shinwari Cusine. Yet, I heard a lot of good stuff about their food. At Wakha Restaurant, I discovered a beautiful side of the food world. Afghani - Shinwari cuisine is definitely a must try.
.
I must say their place is amazing. A two storey building with some outdoor seating and a pool. Their staff were very kind and accommodating.
The ambience and interior design was also impressive. The furnitures are so elegant and sleek.
.
I love their Pulao rice. Their lamb chops was juicy and perfectly seasoned. Lastly, the Veal Karahi was mind-blowing. It was so tasty, tender, and addictive. Their cafe and drinks were also highlights of our visit. We tried their Naan and their Halwa dessert. It was definitely special.
.
A must try!!

Afghanistan restaurants are a bit rare in Dubai, mostly because there are not many Afghanis living in the region so if you ever get a chance to visit an Afghani restaurant, I would definitely recommend you to do so. Wakha is exactly one of these restaurants and they genuinely surprised me with the true flavours of afghanistan and they were surprising good. With a first glance of the menu, I thought that they were going to be like every other Arabic/Middle Eastern restaurant. Even though the dishes were similar, the flavours were distinctively unique.
Loved the food and ambience of this new branch of Wakha. Absolutely loved their Shinwari cuisine. Their Shinwari Lamb Karahi are a must try.
This is my first time here and first time trying shinwari cuisine and was totally blown away. They have valet parking which made entry very comfortable. In terms of ambience they have a great place upstairs for families with private and comfy seating. Once seated the servers gave us the right recommendation. We tried the lamb chops(5/5) and since the meat can be customized as per my liking I asked for a side of lamb fat and the meat was also prepared in lamb fat which completely added to the flavor. In addition to this we had the lamb kadai(4.5/5 - meat was fantastic. Gravy could have been a little more), the hummus with fries(5/5), the snickers shake(4/5), lassi(5/5 - they added ice cubes and it was awesome) and rogni naan(5/5). Overall just loved the food.
Restaurant invites customers new and old to embark on a culinary adventure where they create and name their own dish. The acclaimed restaurant chain Wakha, that specializes in Afghani and Shinwari cuisines, has launched its latest diner at Jumeirah, Dubai. The restaurant adds flavor to its dishes by using ingredients from the region to make recipes that delight customers with a memorable dining experience.
This is my first time to try Afghani food. Every bite of each dish I'm like wow! From starter to main course. I highly recommend the mantou. It is a dumpling filled with meat and yogurt. Tasty, I finished the whole plate.
Wakha, the critically acclaimed restaurant chain that specializes in Afghani and Shinwari cuisines, has launched its latest diner at Jumeirah, Dubai. The move reflects the chain’s aim to expand its market reach and invite customers, new and old, to experiment with native ingredients, comprise great flavor combinations and enjoy a unique and memorable dining experience.
Loved the food and ambiance. The staff was friendly and the food portions were good. The only issue was the service, very slow and chances of food being misplaced or given to another table was common. The food taste was amazing and the meat was very tender. This place is highly highly recommended.
A restaurant serving Afghani cuisine .. Its prime location is on Jumeirah Road. They have other branches across the Emirates. The food they have is very good .. and the service is very good as well .. they have outdoor sessions ... and the shisha is also served ... the place is in my opinion, although it is in a villa on Jumeirah Street, but it needs more attention and modifications .. In general, the experience is very good ..
