What a hidden gem of dubai. The entire staff is Mexican and everyone is so knowledgeable and friendly. The manager recommended the best meals for us and went out his way to make sure we have a great experience. We can’t go to silicon oasis and not go to taco barrio.
So I and my husband were looking for some authentic Mexican food and found this place the food was really nice and the staff was really friendly but my review is based on the extra charge on our bill for extra spice. So we like spicy food and told our waiter to make our food extra spicy on which he agreed and when the bill came we were extra charged for the spice which we didn't like at all. We usually go out every second day and we were never charged for extra spice this was the 1st time we witnessed this.
Loved the food, very fresh and delicious, and the experience of All You Can Eat Tacos. The staff were very attentive and friendly, they kept checking on us and recommending various items. I ended up trying everything and left with a food coma.
I’ve been enjoy all the time I’m coming to this place, no doubt at all to visit when I’m looking to remember our Mexican flavors. I had try this time something between street and homemade Mexican food. Where the Huarache is made with different toppings, here we ordered with chicken pastor and was a good combination of flavors. Then we asked for tacos fritos, which took me to remember those days after the school, have them for lunch. So a big 5 for these place!!

A little place hidden away in DSO, we found Taco Barrio on Zomato when craving Mexican food. It offers decent food, although it was less spicier than we anticipated and the menu was limited. The service was top-notch, though - everyone was so warm and welcoming! We’re definitely coming back, great experience.

Highly recommended by a Mexican friend, I finally found my way to Silicon Oasis to try out the food promised to be very much like “the real thing”.
The decor is simple: concrete floors, collection of chairs and tables, some rudimentary decorations here and there. It’s a far cry from the more opulent Mexican restaurants attached to hotels around Dubai. That’s said, it certainly channels that vibe of beach or road side taco shack.
The food arrives quickly. An order of marinade tacos, guacamole, classic burrito and cheese empanadas.
Overall the food was promising and enjoyable.
The marinade tacos arrive with side helpings of pineapple salsa, two hot sauces and chopped coriander to add yourself in preferred measures. This combination of sweet, spicy and aromatic twins well with sweetish corn tortillas and spiced meat.
The guacamole is not perfectly smooth - and thankfully so. It’s fresh and comes with wedges of lime for those who like their guacamole sharper.
I would definitely come back to try more on the menu. The food is promising and the humble surroundings are no deterrent- frankly, it’s welcomed.

Its a nice place for urban Mexican delicacies and have variety of food. Staff is friendly too. If you are driving there, need to take few rounds to get to the joint. Something i personally like was variety of soda’s and traditional Mexican drinks. You can also request to taste first 😉 if not sure which drink to go for. Worth visiting.

From furniture, ambiance and food, I was transported to any Mexican Fonda (little restaurant ) from México. I ate tacos dorados (added a little bit of salt for the way I prefer to eat them) and it was tasty!
Had dinner at Taco Bario.We ordered two chicken burritos and a Flour chicken Taco along with a Pineapple Jarritos.The ambience was lively with lovely songs in the background.The food was great.The service was amazing.Highly recommended.

Not the typical mexican food. Taco Barrio feels very authentic, staff are mexicans, the food is great, the staff are very friendly. Not a very popular restaurant i have to say, but definitely worth trying.

Surprisingly cute place that I had missed out on trying for so long. The staff serves authentic Mexican cuisine and is patient to explain things. Pricing is little stiff for the area, but food is good.. and a truly mexican experience. Must try. Especially their Guacamole!!

Apart from delicious and affordable food, what I love about this place is the warmth service of all the staff. They always recommend something new to try whenever we come. And they never disappoint. Once you enter this place, feels like you are in Mexico as it gives that kind of vibe inside. Small joint but good quality of food.

One of the hidden gems of DSO! I haven't been to Mexico but this isn't your commercial Mexican food restaurant. The interior decor and the staff make it feel like a mom and pop restaurant as opposed to a commercial mass-produced concept.
As for the food, from the complimentary chips and Salsa ( which scream home-made), the presentation and their selection of Made in Mexico cola ( which yes, some other places offer) it all came together to deliver a great dine in experience. we ordered the marinated steak burrito and chicken tacos. I generally prefer the Chipotle (American fast food chain) style burrito but this was a very close contender.Definitely one of the best burritos in town. The chicken tacos were nice, but lacked the same flavor-gasm of the burrito and left me wanting.
Only negative would be the drinks we ordered, a coke and pineapple jarritos (i understand they are imported from Mexico, but its just too much for what there are), the food overall is well priced 👍
The over all experience was very enjoyable, ambiance, staff, their enthusiasm & pride could be felt in the food.

Tasty and fresh food (I tried tacos and al Amber del Barrio so far) and nice atmosphere. Simple dishes that offer tastes of the Mexican cousin. Extremely nice service! Will be coming back.
The food is amazing just the sides a very small I ordered rice and beans and it was just a little more than a tablespoon
First time I try maxican food. I tried Alambre chicken. It is very tasty. Staff are not proffisional but were very friendly . Also, nice maxican music on background. Service speed is normal. Not fast. Not slow. I just regret they only had 2 souces for dipping tacos (one is spicy so i didnt order it. the other green one is tasty). Having more variety will make the meal more enjoyable. A bit expensive (price / amount). Will definitely visit it again.

Had been here to pickup a water bottle and ended up having a Mega Burrito and it was good. Located right on the main road. Their live kitchen is a delight to see your food being made. Will be coming back soon.

This is the only place I’ve been in Dubai that feels Mexican. Free chips & salsa when you arrive. Great menu of street tacos & all your favorites from south of the border. Amazing burritos! As one of my favorite burrito dives in the US advertised, “Burritos as big as your head!” Even free delivery in the area. But I come here a lot. The restaurant itself has a great vibe, playing mexican music, appropriate decor, etc, etc...
One recommendation: make sure when you order on Zomato that you select all the same burrito base that you get in the restaurant. If you don’t you’ll only get the burrito with meat. Not a big problem, just make sure you actually select everything you want. I learned from my mistake...
Ultimately, great place which also gives a good discount for Emirates Platinum cardholders. I hope they stay in business for many years!

If u r looking for authentic and happy Mexican grub, this is the place to be.. the food is outstanding... delicious, super portioning and great staff ( from the service and kitchen too ). I love this place n I see myself atleast thrice a week here. Had the Gringa which had pineapple in it and that clicked it for me. The cheque chen burritos will huge and will put Taqado to shame... fantastic stuff.
I hardly give a restaurant a 5* rating, but this little cove deserves it. Once you enter your greeted by latin tunes and authentic staff who know their cuisine from their childhood.
A small conclusive menu with traditional Mexican dishes, makes your choice relatively easy yet guaranteed with rich taste.
Price wise very affordable with a bunch of discount cards accepted.
One thing I was considering to lower the rating was the absence of a nice chilled corona. However if it wasn’t for the bureaucratic restriction I’m sure it would’ve been a choice on the menu, so I’ll keep it at 5.

As a Mexican, I can honestly say this is the closest thing to authentic Mexican tacos in Dubai. Going through the reviews there seem to be a lot of disappointed clients, it is safe to say this is because they are not used to real Mexican food.
Taco Barrio provides simple and authentic Mexican tacos just like we find in the streets of Mexico (minus the pork and open air dining experience).
I recommend the volcán, the house made salsas, the taco al pastor, the gringa and the agua de horchata.
Fantastic meal and first class service! Authentic Mexican experience. We loved it! We were given complimentary tortilla chips with salsas, which were lovely.
Always great food and service at Taco Barrio! Definitely recommend it for everyone that enjoys Mexican food. I have been told by Mexican friends that it is the closest to real Mexican food you can get in Dubai.
Typical Mexican food just like in Mexico City. Pretty good chipotle sauce and chips. Kids love it. Overall a pleasant experience for a quick eats and Mexican flavors.
Taco Barrio offers delicious authentic Mexican food.
We had tacos al pastor, volcanes and huarache con pollo. All freshly made and the three salsas we tried were the best! They also have Jarritos, jamaica and horchata. It really feels like home here :-)

I felt like home, finally a place to speak in Spanish. Real Latin food, tasty and delicious from a real Latin staff. We ordered the gringa, alambra del barrio and Horchata. Los colombianos súper amables. My husband love the food and the drink. Would he take me back there ?
