Amazing Location...Good Food
Located in Dubai Cubes right in the heart of Port Rashid , Desi Mama is a quaint Indian bistro serving desi classics in a relaxed atmosphere.(location 5/5)
Owing to the corona pandemic & it being a weekday the place was relatively empty...to be truthful we were the only customers there. The service was prompt. We weren't too hungry so we started with chai which was bloody delicious and refreshing(4.5/5).... Then we ordered some onion rings(4/5) served with sweet chilli sauce and corn cheese balls(3/5) served with cheese sauce. The onion rings were both ample in quantity and fairly light (just the way I like em) the cheese balls were slightly dry and heavy so there is some room for improvement over there. The only complaint was that they did not accept zomato gold although they were a listed restaurant which annoyed us slightly. Overall an above average experience.
A hidden gem in a landmark that's hardly known! Chances of people knowing Marina Cubes is very scarce, so knowing Desi Mama is even harder. But if you visit this restaurant once, you'd be bowled over. The food is subtle & flavorful. I loved the Chicken Nawabi, which I don't see here in their menu. It was Awadhi chicken with lots of nuts and subtle spices. This dish is the star of the menu for me. Service is good (there are hardly any patrons because of low footfall to Marina Cubes) and the servers take good care in explaining the dishes and serving.
This place is an hidden gem. This place serves amazing food. The restaurant is not much crowded and the ambience is awesome. I highly recommend this place.
Uncomplicated but delicious indian food. It's sad that such a great spot didnt have much crowd. Special mention was the hara bhara kebab.

Every dish was delicious and quantity was enough for the four of us.
The staff is extremely polite and happy to help you if you choose the right dish.
You would notice chilly paneer is not on their menu and was made especially for us!
Caution: you will be stuffed after their delicious meal.

Place was so relaxing and cozy. Neat and pleasing as well. Servers were so attentive and friendly. Most especially food were good and big quantity. Good for sharing. Hope lot of people visit this place and dine here.
Tucked away behind port Rashid .... this new restaurant is a burst of freshness!!!
My friend and I tried this restaurant for a casual week night dinner and were blown away with the wonderful taste of the food.
To begin with I ordered for the veg sheek kebab and my friend ordered for the chicken sheek kebab ... both the dishes were plated beautifully and tasted amazing !!!
Our next item was the mango salad... though it did not taste anything like the Thai salad (as mentioned in the menu) but it was like a storm of flavour in my mouth .... sweet mango teamed with tangy n spicy dressing and crunchy veggies did the trick !
Our main course was a classic Veg biryani ..... that scored a 10 on 10..... perfectly spiced ... well cooked rice ... not much of whole spices ... everything about this biryani was amazing !!!
My evening was totally well spent ... I surely recommend this place.
Really awesome place tucked away next to a fantastic view. Hope it gets discovered soon but more crowd should not dilute their service and taste. Absolutely fantastic array of Indian dishes and super reasonable. Flavourful food presented super well iced with quick and crisp service.
The ambience and the location are superb. The Indian cuisine is soooooo yumm and the presentation of food is super classy.😍😍😍 Must try the gajar ka halwa and also mirchi ka halwa in deserts they are mind blowing and for the people who always wants to try something new, I suggest you this place as it is amazing.

The Marina Cubes is the new place to open by the quiet waterfront of Port Rashid. Interesting all the restaurants there are made in renovated and rejigged 40 foot containers. Such a beautiful setting that Dubai is synonymous for. The views of yachts and power boats are the shoe piece that serenade your eyes.
Marina cubes itself is a hidden gem located at al mina road that is home to some unique and new restaurants that u wont find much around the city . Desi Mama is one of them having a perfect menu that covers both italian and indian cuisines just as the name suggests . Loved their pasta and falooda. Will definitely give it a try again to taste the mirchi ka halwa. Service is a little slow and thus im rating it a 4/5 .
Lovely restaurant, great menu of mainly Indian food - great butter chicken and chicken Tandori and delicious food over looking boats and the QE2. Hidden away and well worth a visit.
Nice traditional biryani and juicy mutton, tasty at all. Located inside Mina Rashid Marina just opposite the beautiful marina in Dubai. Most recommended Indian restaurant in town.

Desi mama is one such place in the Marina cubes, simple soul food. Serving a variety if cuisine from all over India. Its a cozy shack feel on the inside and they have an outdoor seating as well.
I had ordered their Egg parata and Chai. The combination was lovely for this weather. Egg parata was nice, fresh. Trust me, the feel of having these on such a day was magical
You will love the views, such a quiet place that you will truly come to enjoy. Visit Marina Cubes, enjoy a new experience.

Amazing restaurant on the Marina. Food quality is good and range of choice is large. And the waiter Pratik is a star. He always welcome me back and knows my drinks order by heart.
