Five crowns is a restaurant which is not so far from my workplace !! So it is an affordable place with fresh food. I have my set menu there and I haven’t tried much options. Most of the time when I go to this place it is either during lunch or in the evening after office. Service is pretty quick . Although it is not a fancy restaurant but it has a separate dining place for families . Good choice if you are looking for something affordable around barsha!!

I don’t have words to explain the quality of food that I had 15 mins back. Extremely poor!!! The chicken was not eatable probably would have been kept in the freezer for more than a week, the rice was tasteless. I have been to their twice or thrice and last time I did inform the so called “manager” that the quality has gone down, the response was a big OK! I am thinking of raising a complaint with the health authorities, same is the case with some of friends who ordered food from this place. Extremely disappointed and moreover frustrated to have such pathetic food! These are tough times for everyone and to waste food is a crime but I was left with no choice !!!

Had a very bad experience yesterday as the guy serving put fish gravy on my plate wherein i was a vegetarian... But, seems like they changed the way they serve... They asked twice and ensured what to serve... Seems like the 2nd chance given is made worth... Had some light snacks. Ordered chicken burger with fries. Burger was super and tasty, however the fries was over salted. Seems was re fried and re salted again. They serve tea but not the usual karak tea, it a Lipton dip in tea. Their food us usually tasty like the set thali.

They take one hour to deliver in building opposite to their restaurant.The worst incident happened today when we had few guests and we ordered food which took one hour to deliver.. This restaurant is one of my go to place when I am really hungry and also at that same if I don’t want to spend more money. Charcoal, palak paneer, dal palak,reshmi kabab are few of my favorites. They need to improve a lot in the Kerala varieties of stew. Definitely value for money , if you choose a right dishes.

Blessed to have a place like Five Crowns in the neighbourhood. Good food, quick service and not expensive! The kerala food here is fantastic - must must try the mango fish curry! In vegetarian, their gobi masala is top class :)

Craving for kerala style appam in al barsha? this is the place! Appam will be ready everyday by evening. Try it with their special of the day or any curries from the menu. Their north indian dishes are also equally nice. If you demand less oil in your dish like me, then let them know in advance before they pour their heart out. :) To rate, quality of food good, service good smiley faces, ambiance basic but they do have family space, value for money ok.

Yesterday went to this place with my friends for dinner, we ordered Manchow soup which was surprisingly nice, it could be better if its thicker.Also, we ditched chicken item for first time to order appam and fish malabari. Fishmalabari is curry - one small bowl can serve three and it tasted delicious!... having it with appam increased my apetitite. Initial complimentary serving such as roasted papad or salad could have been nice as we waited for our dish to arrive. Waiting time was not more than 10 mins. Good for those who want to eat the proper keralite food ;However other options are available as well. I have tried this restaraunt before for fish tikka , garlic naan with bhendi masala,Chicken biryani , chicken chilly, and also chinese food which tasted pleasant too. Overall experience has been nice :-)

Above are only the things i've tried and liked. You are free to explore and its one of the very few restaurants to have good food for a very reasonable price in Al Barsha.

This was our only go-to place when we first moved to Barsha. We used to order only from here even without knowing where it was located! Finally we figured it's located just behind Golden Sands building. Sitting there and eating is also good. I always have their Sweet Corn Chicken Soup. This time we tried the Dal Khichadi and that was good too. Their Indian food is all nice, just that if you're not a spice lover ask them to make the food very less spicy. The quantity and quality is worth what you pay for the food too. Will surely continue going here for some of their expert dishes and on others we hope they continue getting better...

One of the worst restaurant found in dubai. They don't have any professionalism while talking with customer. Also waiters does not have a capabilities to remember the food that we order. Ordered the food got the confirmation from Zomato the status was on the way but still no food!!, called them after 2 hours they said the minimum order is 50 (zomato says it's 26) and they said the order is rejected. Another multi cuisine cafeteria that does it all. From sandwiches, juices, Chinese, Arabic, Indian etc they get quite the lunch time crowd. Service is decent, food prepared quickly and the taste is average. Had the chicken sandwiches but found them too dry. The beef burger was decent but bear in mind that these aren't fresh or gourmet. Am sure their other dishes might be good.

So, it was quite late at night, and we did not want to go to some fancy restaurant for dinner. This place was nearby and ordered egg biriyani from here. It came with two eggs, and the quantity I must say was a lot, and the price also less. Even though dining in, is not a good option, better to have food delivered. Taste wise food was OK!

I Used to order from this restaurant most of the times, they give really tasty food, but too much oil in the curries. then if we make an order from al barsha 1 around 12.45 PM then they will deliver the food only after 2.30PM. When i called and asked about my order status they man who answered my phone talks to me so rude like it was my mistake that i make the order at 12.45 PM, they need minimum 2 hours to deliver just a cooked biriyani in al barsha 1. its really embarrassing from five crown management that they don't deliver orders in right time to places near.

Our go to restaurant for cheap not so bad sizeable quantity food. Sitting there to eat is not the best, as environment is not too clean and appealing to the eyes; hubby and I therefore tend to lean towards delivery at home. We stick to the Chinese menu, as this seems to be more favourable to our taste buds; hubby loves their chicken biriyani though. On the whole, it is not such a bad place for your everyday kind of food, but definitely not for those special days

To be honest 5 👑 was one of our favorite restaurants for home delivery orders. We were on their database untill recently however when the quality dropped substantially. It's now no longer value for money as they have lots of competition around. Abhi-u-r-foodie still recommends #🐔 sweet corn soup, #🐔 tikka masala, # breakfast items ( if they take your order 😝). Foodie Tip - It's a classic example of how an establishment gradually reaches its peak point where there is neither a growth nor a fall. Hope someone reads between the lines 😇.

Have eaten twice at this place now and my experience has been quite average both the times. The mixed grill platter comes to you at 60 AED which in my opinion is over priced. However there is enough meat for 2 in it. The chicken 65 is better than many but still not the best I've had in al barsha. I loved their fish fry which was served on a banana leaf and had great flavors. The chicken kebab wasn't fresh, neither homemade - felt like microwaved kebabs from a nearby grocery. The service staff is boring and slow. But the manager uncle is very friendly. Overall an ok place. Needs improvement and I am sure it can do better.

I got a confirmation with the online order and I was given a time of 4:23pm (which was 45mins from time of order). Usuall restaurants deliver before this time but they delivered it later than 5pm.... Over 1 and a half hours later.... The taste of the food wasn't up to the mark and didn't match the flavours of the dishes mentioned in the menu. Eg- there was nothing spicy or achaari or tangy about the achaari tikka...

The kerala meals here is Delicious. The sides including fried veggie, chutney, 3 to 4 varieties of gravy And the Payasam.. So tasty! And ONLY 11 AED for the veg meals i think it's a steal. Lot of people having Biryani.. next time :)

I stay very close by to this restaurant. I visited many times to this place but only to take away dal fry or tadka with paratha. Initially I did try some other food but not up to the taste. However this place most of the times busy and I see lots of take away order going out from this place(Because there is no many option for multi cuisine restaurant with reasonable price near by)Staffs are friendly and service is quick. Well it used to be my favourite restaurant till today. Today they asked AED 3 for the few slices of onion, two slice of cucumber and two slice of carrot with my regular and daily takeaway dinner order. Come one guys respect your regular customers. If you don't have what is asked for then learn to say 'NO' and not misguide for mere money and lose one good customer. Food tastes good and is reasonably priced. Have a wide variety of Indian cuisine along with Arabic food and junk food . Lacks proper furniture and proper service as required from a restaurant. With a few improvements to the dining such as plates and furniture and a overall better set up , this place can go a long way .

There's one thing that I have noticed among most south Indian joints and that is the fact that each of them try and experiment with all sorts of cuisine. My funda is; if you are a South Indian joint,then serve authentic south Indian food!. Why venture out into the wild and make a mess. I've picked up a parcel a couple of times from this place. The kerala beef fry is supposed to be a masterpiece for the chef in such a restaurant. This place somehow manages to make a mess of even this simple dish. All their curries seem to come with the same recipes with minor or absolutely no difference in cooking style. I can very confidently declare that I can prepare better curd rice than what is served in this "south Indian" restaurant. The food is edible and hence the rating. I don't think I will be visiting this place again.

Absolute value for money in terms of taste and quantity!! Light on pocket and full on stomach!! The restaurant offers Chinese, Fillipino, North and South Indian and Arabic dishes. The south indian gravies are mouth watering with an extra doze of spice!

We popped into Five Crowns a few weeks back. Very hand location as it is within walking distance for us. Love the concept of the five different cuisines, the menu is huge!! nice to enjoy Chinese whilst your partner has an Indian dish. The restaurant feels somewhat shabby and old fashioned though. The food we ordered was good, especially the butter chicken. Sadly all the chicken was over cooked though. The chicken tandoor was dry and I am positive the same chicken was used in the butter chicken, ie it had not be pre-marinated before being added to the butter chicken sauce. Excellent pricing though, just don't have chicken. I notice another reviewer has said their beef dish was good. I will give it another try as it is a very handy location. Thanks for reading :)

been here a lot of times already, i am not from india but i love the food in here, the chicken biryani here is amazing specially now that they upgraded the presentation and serve it in a traditional bronze bowl (i really do not have an idea what it calls like ) the arabic choices also was magnificent like the arabic rice with lamb and kababs, authentic indian cuisine like the butter chicken with roti is a wow for me, and great service by the lady server, every time i go to al barsha area never i will forget to pass by in this restaurant. i really appreciate their food and the only place i eat indian food. worth the price

This is a no-nonsense kinda place. The food is good. The Indian, especially the Kerala dishes are really really good. It's probably the cheapest option for me since I order from Tecom. A good dinner for just me comes at around 30 bucks and around 40 if I top it off with mixed Ice Cream. Now here's the little problem. Their delivery time. I don't mind 40mins to an hour. Which they always seem to take. But the last 2 times they've had me waiting hungry for more than 2 hours. If they sort out delivery time, I'd give them 4 stars.

We called this restaurant on our way and made the order, indian food,we were told that it will be ready for collection within 20 minutes. so as soon as we reached the food was ready,and off we went ... for the price we paid,it was above expectation.. very tasty flavours the chicken korma,the spicey masala, the daal and the tandoori chicken, the bread also was ok. It was perfect, and for 86 dhs,it fed four hungry persons with a lot of left overs for the next day. well done ! I have not tried the delivery service yet. but I will try it soon...

Let me start sharing my views from here.. Five crowns is an everyday restaurant which is essentially indian. Location is accessible and they serve food but not with the warm malabari hospitality. If you want to grab a quick bite on lunch or dinner and dont want to shed much money then this place suits you. The best food I can recall here is their chicken biriyani, they keep a consistent quality on that. However if you are working nearby and planning to place a order for delivery, make sure you got enough time and patience. They consistently deliver late. Also keep a recording of your order for your records as they mix up. Even if you are a regular at this place, be prepared to some bad treatment by the staff. They just dont care sometimes. Foods that standout: chicken biriyani, king fish fry, pothichoru Dont think about: burgers Cleanliness: 7/10 Food: 5/10 Home Delivery: -2/10

very bad Home Delivery Service, its 1:03 mins passed i gave my order n while i type this i still wait for my food....the distance from my work Bldg to the Restaurant is just 200-300 Mtr..dint like this

Tasty chicken biriyani, one of the best indian restaurant in al barsha area. Some foods are really nice but you can't review this restaurant by trying just one or two dishes.

A good place for cheap and awesome food. Either a quick grab for a burger or for some great noodles or soup, five crowns is the perfect place. And quite close to Malls of emirate, this is the best for people working around
