The place is s but small, and they’ve moved to the other side of the street, but the food was amazing!!! Friendly service. So, it was totally worth it. The ravioli porcini was at another level altogether!

This place is one of our favourite Italian as a family. Food is always well prepared and tasty.
We enjoy pretty much everything on the Menu.
The location in Jumeirah is small however during winter they also have an outdoor area.

food was so good the lasagna tasted so good but i wanted extra sauce so i ordered it again the next day with extra sauce it was perfect i could eat it everydayyyy !!!!
So we ordered Fettuccine Alla Campagnola ... it was just AMAZING. A MUST try for mushroom lovers. Then we ordered baked vegetables with cheese and tomato sauce; which was unsatisfactory. Anyway the staff was sweet enough to get it replaced with another dish. So we ordered the Ravioli with mushrooms and spinach; great sauce but the Ravioli itself was under cooked to a point where I could feel the raw dough. Again, they agreed to get it replaced with a pizza of our choice. The pizza is a must try especially for it's base. All in all, a bitter sweet experience.

Really amazing pizzas! The fun part is that the first time I tried them was on a New Year’s Eve! Have liked the brand since then. Really chic place to chill too.
Had pasta arrabiata n ravioli and enjoyed the taste on a cool windy evening at this place. It was way before dinner time but the staff recommendation n service are worth mentioning. Probably the way you are treated also makes huhe diff to the taste of food...
Had dinner outside of this lovely and quaint restaurant. We were served warm bread with olive oil which was really great to start. The service was good and at a decent speed. We ordered the calzone and the gnocchi. The gnocchi was a little chewy but the sauce worked really well with the dish. There were bits of turkey in the dish which didn’t really work, but it didn’t taste bad. It could have done with more cheese though. The calzone tasted very good, although there was too much mushroom inside which was a bit of a buzzkill. The tomato sauce was also a little too much and made the pastry very soggy - it could have gone without. After we finished, we were served a complimentary dessert which was so lovely! Unfortunately the cake they gave us was very dry and not flavorful. But the gesture was very much appreciated. We’d definitely come here again to try out the other dishes on the menu ☺️

Extra point for the super soft warm and flavourful focaccia bread we were served at the beginning, it just built up the mood for the pizzas.
We ordered the Quattro formaggi and the Vegetarania pizza.
Not all places use mascarpone cheese in the 4cheese pizza so we were curious to try it.
12" pizzas with wonderful aroma arrived at our table, the crust was perfect in it's crunchiness.
Both the pizzas were very good, personal fav being the Quattro formaggi.
They do have pastry desserts(which are not prepared in house), however we were too full to try them.
Definitely a must try place.
I was carving for alferedo,
So I remember this restaurant,that passed by few days back,
Decided to go, it was a little restaurant in um sequim,
When we went there I thought like all Italian restaurant they will get us some hot bread, but they did not have that.
We ordered mama lover pizza and one alferedo,
The pizza was tasty,very fresh, except the bell peppers were sliced so huge,
The alferedo was delicious,
But did not have any chicken nor shrimp,,
Overall its worth trying it,once,
We were aimlessly driving around looking for a quick dinner and came across this quaint little Italian style diner. This place isn't much to see and has maybe 4 tables inside and a couple outside and doesn't even have toilets but the experience made it worth it.
For dinner, we ordered the burrata plate for starters; the creamy burrata was delicious and quite impressive!
For mains, I had the prawn risotto with truffle creamy sauce and luckily it wasn't overdozed with truffle! The husband ordered the chicken Kiev which was delicious with the right amount of cheese! The breading wasn't soggy either!
The dishes were very well served in quantity and quality surprisingly and we would probably visit again to enjoy a simple meal!
What more can I say we were welcomed in although busy were shown to a table. The food was great, so was the service. I liked the timing of the food coming to the table, although the service is unobtrusive, they keep an eye on the tables and are attentive. I'll be revisiting!

One of the best pizza in Dubai it give you the real Italian food
Mamma Italia is an italian pizza outlet located in Al Barsha area of Dubai. I ordered for their Veg pizza and garlic bread in margherita which was delivered well on time but not so crispy and fresh as expected. The portion size is good enough for two and price wise is also a good deal. The garlic bread was pretty dissappointing as it was not soft and crispy and was just wrapped in foil. I can recommend this place but not the best experience for sure.
Excellent food and service- the pasta was amazing and quite authentic in taste. Situated in a nice corner of jumeirah even the ambiance and decor was cozy - will definitely re-visit.
We came to try their pizza but pasta was all they have during our visit. And staff offered us their spaghetti bolognese and salmon pasta instead. I like the spaghetti bolognese which didn't give us a regretable dinner experience. It doesn't drip with sauce and can taste the full flavor of tomato. Hence, was deliciously cooked and prepared. On one hand, the salmon pasta failed the expectation. However, just like any other Italian restaurant, it would be nice if they include garlic bread or something serve along with any of their pasta.
On the contrary, service was impressive. The place is quite small but with a big magnificent view of the iconic hotels; JBH and Bur al Arab.
So good to try overall and hope to try their Italian kind of pizza by next time we come.

What we really want to try when we came in to this resto was their buy one, get one pizza advertised here in zomato since we were craving for something like Italian pizza. Unfortunately, they were close to closing time and they were no longer serving pizza. But tried their pasta instead which has also lots of choices under primi piatti category on their menu. And good thing their kitchen was still open to serve as such. The spaghetti bolognese was the best and has a quite generous serving. The farfalle con salmone on the other hand was disappointing; has few cuts of salmon fish but cooked perfectly but was loaded with heavy cream while we didn't appreciate the kind of pasta they used. Price is not reasonable as well.
The other good side, service was notable. Staff were friendly, enthusiastic and considerate. The place was a bit small but outdoor seating has a great view of the two iconic hotels; Burj al Arab and JBH.
Overall, a small place but having a big menu option of great Italian cuisine. Worth the visit.
Another hidden gem in Jumeirah. Did quite a bit of research, hence wanted to specifically try the Ferro Bomb.
We were 3 of us, and we ordered the penne arrabiata in pink sauce and the pollo picanto pizza. I was a little hesitant about the pizza though, not a fan of chicken thin cryst pizzas, but this one was brilliant. Slightly on the spicy side, worth it. The pasta was even better, we gobbled it up in no time. Fortunately they had one ferrero bomb left. My friends dod not find it amusing, but for me it was mind blowing. It was this huge ferro looking cake filled with nutella served warm with vanilla icecream.

Small place but good food....
Location - might be taken back at how small and isolated with restaurant is on Jumeriah Road. But if you love these kind of places that have an individual and creative touch that its for you.
Food - Ordered a pizza and Risotto.... The pizza was delicious and even the Risotto was not too bad. Overall enjoyed the food.

Mamma italia is this tiny cafe tucked up along jumeirah road. Me and my better half went there on a quiet saturday evening. There are only two tables inside, with the weather nowadays we were hoping to get one of them. We got it :) The reality is this place deserves much more , it should be teeming with people. As the food is just awesome and many well known italian food places in UAE don't serve pastas and chickens this well made.
We ordered Insalata Caprese (Fresh Mozzarella and Tomato salad) , Fusilli alla Scoglio (Fusilli pasta with sea food and a creamy tomato sauce) and a Polletto alla griglia con patate (Baby chicken with herbed roasted potatoes).
You get a rosemary sprinkled bread as a complimentary starter with olive oil and balsanic vinegar. We enjoyed the bread and actually ended it all soaking it in the vinegar.
The salad was pretty good, the mozzarella and tomatoes worked awesomely. It was fresh, it was tasty and it was well presented.
The chicken was again very well made , the herbed potatoes were soft and you could taste the herbs. The chicken was moist and juicy, not dried which is something very common in other joints. The fresh accompaniment of Rocket salad went very well with the overall dish.
The pasta was creamy, tasty and had perfectly cooked seafood. Nothing was overcooked. All in all we had a great experience and we will come back to this tiny joint in future whenever we are looking for a tasty Italian food rendezvous.
When they said carpe diem, they possibly meant seize gelatos as Mamma Italia. Who else makes these Italian gooey-pleasers in their own backyard, fresh. If you are wondering what else to try, I'd say go with the pizzas, that's the second best thing in the restaurant.

Went here last night for dinner with my family to enjoy the outdoor seating and the good weather. It's a small place but they do manage to produce some fine pizzas!
For starters we ordered the Classica Bruschetta, which was okay: the olive oil and balsamic vinegar dressing provided a good flavour, but the bread was loaded with diced tomatoes which took away from the traditional flavour that we're used to.
As a main course we went for the Pollo Picante and Vegetariana-both of which were quite good. Thin crust pizzas, which were topped with the perfect amount of cheese, toppings and seasoning.
Coming to the flavours: I ended up liking the vegetarian option better and the pizza had a slight taste of pesto and oregano drizzle topped with olive oil which blended perfectly with the zucchini, squash, tomatoes, onions and olives.
The chicken pizza was good but the only saving grace on that pizza was the green chilis which provided flavour to what could otherwise have been a relatively bland pizza.
Trying to be a little healthy we went for a fresh avocado milkshake, which was pretty good!
Overall, a good experience with quick service and if you do have space for dessert they have Gelato Divino right there!
A small place located , just in the summer gets hot to sit outside as indoor seating is too small! We ordered the pollo picante which was really good as they didn't have any chicken pasta on the menu I order for a pink sauce penne pasta with chicken which was alright , service was good and quick !
I went here on a Thursday night, looking for some good italian food. We actually intended to go to the downtown branch and we did so only to fid out it was closed, as it closes by 10 pm and so we re routed to this branch. Small and cosy, with seating outside to enjoy the perfect weather the night had to offer. I ordered the cannelloni with chicken spinach and ricotta cheese topped with a parmesan cheese sauce and trust me it was heaven - baked to perfection with the perfect filling. I added extra garlic to it with just complemented the dish further. Definitely going to visit the downtown branch, as i wanted to try Ferrero Bomb which was not available here. That was the only downfall of the night. Great dining experience on the whole.
Petit size shop with big heart and a very big menu, i ordered take out which was fungi risotto and for dessert i got the tiramisu cake, both were excellent and i was surprised because I didn't expect anything to be honest especially after reading not so good reviews, sometimes you gotta just ditch what ppl say and try for your self, the only comment i have on the food is that the onions are a bit raw and not well cooked to be noticeable while eating, and to be honest risotto is better without onion altogether. Bon appetite.
The pasta at Mamma Italia is very good! I tried the penne pasta with pink sauce, aaaah craving it right now ! The location is good which is in Umm Suqeim 1. Although, the restaurant is tiny it does not feel uncomfortable or tight. I have not been there when it is crowded so I would not know if the seating is not so convenient. In most of my reviews I mention the waiters because it an important aspect of restaurant businesses. The waiters in Mamma Italia are friendly.
Definitely a hidden gem! Food is great, portions are big, price is friendly and service is just impeccable. Best affordable Italian food in Dubai. We just keep coming back.
Wow, I just realised that I'm reviewing a restaurant after A WHILE. After the tragedy at Tounsi, I swore not to come back to Umm Suqiem. However, if you've lived in Dubai long enough then you would know that keeping away from 'Umm Suqiem' is impossible.
Mamma Italia is a very small Italian restaurant right opposite Animal World. I was craving Italian, so I thought might as well.
Let me tell you this, the food is absolutely fabulous. There's Per Te, Carluccios and Mamma Italia. I ordered a Penne Alfredo Pasta with Bruschetta and I licked the bowl clean. Not a single sauce left behind.
For a small place surrounded by strip of restaurants, Mamma Italia manages to stand out from the crowd and how.

As long as the weather is fine in dubai,i tend to find places where I can seat outside and enjoy it while it last, hence we decided to try this little restaurant in Jumeira and encouraged by the entertainer voucher.
we ordered the pollo pizza ,the lasagna and the fettucini in white sauce. the pizza was great, the fettuccini too. the lasagna was so so, however they were served very fast which made me wonder about how long ago they were prepared ...
as for the service, it was unprofessional, the guy was standing the whole time behind us at the door, shouting ,making rude speech , and was quite disturbing.. but being a small place.. we didnt mind.. and propably I will be back again...
This is a great little pizzeria.
A few tips. Drive past the restaurant and take the next right, then right again. Drive straight down the road til you see a path cutting through to Jumeirah beach road on the right and park there.
Sit on the bar stools facing the pizza oven to watch your dish come to life.
The waiters are lazy and bored, unprofessional and the delivery man was more attentive and called the waiter over to give us our pizzas.
The margharita was hot, thin based and perfect once drizzled in chilli oil and black pepper. My friend ordered the pepperoni pizza which didn't add much to the flavour. This place is good at simple.
If I'm in the area and fancy pizza I will return, with an entertainer voucher you can't argue with 42aed to feed two adults.

We passed through, remembered our entertainers voucher and we were starved. I had read mixed reviews about this place so wasn't expecting much.. I had also read that its mostly a take away place, so we were set !
Parking is a bit tough…
We were welcomed as soon as we entered, nice smiling staff, it was a weekday and it was 8ish, the place was empty. We showed our voucher to the waitress who turned back and showed it to … one guy who was sitting behind his laptop at one corner (knowing that the place is tiny, it was not even a meter away) the guy looked up - didn't acknowledge us (we felt like we were asking the guy for a favor) - shook his head and looked back to his laptop… waw our voucher was approved the mean- busy looking manager approved ! he said yes ! - irony- well could have smiled back at us since the place is tiny ! oh well…
anyway ! besides the mean - busy manager lol the staff was very helpful, they give you plastic forks and knives plenty of napkins.
We ordered a capricciosa pizza and a lasagna portion andddddd it didn't even reach the next signal, the smell was sooo heavenly we ended up eating in the car. I was surprised, the pizza was well garnished with fresh ingredients, it was cheesy and had some herbs but not too much.. the dough was crisp and thin. Of course it isn't traditional italian pizza but it was (to my surprise) wayyyy better than some expensive pizza places in dubai mall or downtown (pizza pino - eataly - vapiano) … and prices affordable too. The medium pizza has 8 slices the lasagna was excellent again wayyy better than some pretentious places.
I don't have anything negative to say about this place besides the fact that they don't have much space to sit… but eating pizza in the car from the box, with cheese strings all over your face is so much fun ! no jokes lol
Conclusion : SURPRISING … very good food, affordable, nice staff, they have gelato divino ice creams too. The pizza was really good well garnished, lasagna too, will definitely try it again. Its a take away place mostly. Grab your pizza boxes and sit on the beach opposite ! (in winter :D)

If there are diamonds hidden in Jumeirah...this is a one little rock..that needs to be experienced.
Without a doubt the smallest restaurant around...mostly living on take away,I guess.
Seriously you cannot seat 3 inside on the same table !
But outside terrace can accommodate a few.
I choose to eat inside .this place is tight and narrow, so narrow when you are seated .you can touch the bar.
Pasta - good
Pizza - good--- and they use anchovies !!!! Yeah !
Dessert - Oh meeen what a selection of ice creams ! what a flavour.
And the guy is so nice he will make you taste them all !
Service was handy, decoration - so,so I am sure this place has nothing to do with Italy but food is fine so it is like having dinner in the kitchen with the Mamma !
It is going to be difficult for you to find this place. once you do. I am sure you will visit again and again...

I've driven by Mamma Italia many many times and never thought about stopping in. I'm not huge on going out for Italian food. Luckily, I listened to my wife and had lunch there recently.
It's a small place but their food is quite good. We had lasagne and a seafood pizza and they were both fantastic.
The lasagne was baked in the pizza oven. The meat sauce really made me happy because it was thick and stayed together. I hate it when I get lasagne with a runny meat sauce. The only thing I'd do to make the lasagne better is add ricotta.
Until visiting Mamma Italia, I had a thing for Itzza Pizza but the seafood pizza here was awesome. The anchovies, shrimp, and mussels were top notch. I enjoyed seeing someone actually stretching dough. I sometimes wonder if some of the pizza I order has actually been touched by anyone or if it came pre-formed.
I really enjoyed this place. I'll be back for sure.

It was a pleasant drive across in Jumairah when we headed into this restaurant to indulge in our craving for some sweet Italian food. The restaurant is in a very convenient place and there are either options of sitting out or sitting inside (the place is quite small though).
Me and a couple of friends took a seat inside and squeezed ourselves beside the gelato counter.
I ordered a Pesce, since I loved fish and the other ordered Chicken pesto and a caesar wrap. The food was awesome and the quantity is full-filling enough. They try and make it as good as possible based on the orders of your taste buds.
Only one thing, just please make sure, you set it right on what your asking for, because its very easy to get confused in Italian. I wanted a Salmon fillet grilled, and I don't know where the communication gap was, I ended up with a Salmon sandwich and thankfully the staff were later pleasing enough, they paid in kind by giving in a free gelato cup for us. Am really thankful for that Maama Italia!
So concluding the say, its awesome food, lovely location, sit outside if you can by the evening, and you will enjoy all the passing super cars and bikes you ever wanted to see in your entire life in a few passing minutes, while you can simply indulge in well made Italian cuisine from Maama Italia. And yes, for God sake have a spoon of that Gelato, its worth it!
