I heard a lot from my colleagues that they serve great food in Mandi Time. At last I tried it today for my late lunch. It is highly recommended! Chicken has a rich taste and serving is good for two. :) I really like the red sauce (don’t know what it’s called) and the soup that comes with the meal, it’s perfect with the rice and chicken. Next time I look forward to try chicken madhbi.
After we ordered, food was served in about 10-15 minutes of waiting. We immediately dig in so I forgot to take photos. Staffs are nice and service is fast. Plus, you can have free tea all you want. Overall it’s a great dining experience.
Update: I got the chance to take photos now since we ordered today for delivery. :)
A place where you get tasty mandhi for a reasonable price 👌. A must try for all the mandi lovers. And the chicken was also yummy as I tried only chicken.
Unexpected it to be such a nice place. Small place but very nice food mutton was tender and very nicely cooked. Also chicken and rice were properly cooked. Friendly staff and understands english that is highly unlikely in mandi place. Desert is also so yum they cook it right infront of you. Fairly priced. Only thing bothered me was the smell in the whole area which was ruining the whole experience. It was not smely in the resturant but outside it was too stinky. Full marks for food :)
I'm really comfortable eating here whenever I'm craving for Mandi. Good serving and the taste is absolutely fine. Highly recommended especially when your pocket is running low since their food don't cost much. If you're really hungry and want to fill those tummies, then this is the place to be!

Ambiance: Nothing fancy as such. It is a very decent place to sit and have food.
Food: The chicken madfoon was very tasty. The grilled chicken was tender and we'll cooked. All this is given at a very reasonable price that is on the cheaper side.
Service: Very very friendly and courteous staff.
the best mandi joint in international city my friends, i kid you not! try the chicken madbhi, (rice with half chicken grilled) or the grilled sheri fish. the soup, yogurt and tomato sauce and salad will fill you up until the next day! however, i would never advice their meat, its always disappointing so don't bother wasting money over meat dishes. and dont forget to grab their complimentary sulemai tea before leaving, its the best tea I've ever tried at a mandi place.

Their charcoal mandi is really tasty. I always order from there only mandi with chicken charcoal and it never let me down. their best part is the chicken charcoal and is one of the best in international city. Their delivery is always on time as well.
We had ordered chicken mandi from here and were really surprised to see the huge quantity to rice served with the nicely cooked chicken. I would recommend that 1 mandi is enough for 2 people.

Hellooooo beautiful people, mood for Mandi and tried out this place.
Chicien Mandi, madfoon, Mutton Madfoon, Mandi all tasted really good , fresh and was really filling. Rice was a great mix for the meat. Friendly staffs n quick service.
Kunafa was one of the best ever had and I don't mind a drive back to this place for it.

I have tried their mandi before n glad to know that food standard hasnt dropped a dime.
Major difference between normal mandi restaurants n this one is their rice. I found them touch spicy which suited our south asian taste buds 😆
Guy on phone just understands basic english so dont try to ask detailed information over the phone.
- Friendly Staff[though they dont understand much of English :) ].
- Good taste.
- Awesome interiors [ especially the family section].
- Reasonably priced.
However, would like to see more menu options as currently they dont serve snacks/dry items.
I must say it was worth a visit. The food was awesome in taste. Ambiance was considerably far better than most of the outlets in International City.
I ordered Chicken Madhbi and Grilled Fish. Fish was awesome in taste and the madhbi rice were excellent too.
it is by far one of the very best Mandi places of Dubai.
The only need to focus on the language barrier thingy to refrain from getting their customers irritated at times.

EL The Cook was in Dubai, the land of the Sheikhs and home to the highest building in the world, The Burj Khalifa!
With stunning views and unforgettable memories, Dubai certainly enchants with its food scene! With truly sensational fine dining at the Burj Al Arab and so many famous restaurants dotting its malls, Dubai is a foodies dream!
However, EL The Cook, wanted to find out how the locals dine, which is something people rarely do when they come to this paradise in the sand..
After a little research, we found that the locals love a dish called Mandi, which involves slow cooking meat in a tandoor oven for close to 8 hours! Leaving the meat succulent and tender. This is served over a bed of flavored rice.
"Mandi" is orginally of Yemeni origin, and comes from the Arabic word, nada,meaning dew, reflecting the texture of the meat..
Exploring local cuisine took us into the heart of International City, a place for tourists and immigrants alike. We entered a small restaurant called Mandi Time. Not exactly the place you'd associate with the metropolis of Dubai.
AMBIANCE:
At Mandi Time, the ambiance is rustic, and the crowd is usually locals. The restaurant is divided into 2 parts one a casual dining location and the other private carpeted booths.
This offers privacy when dining especially during namaz and Ramadan seasons.
There is a large kitchen in the center of the restaurant which is used for cooking desserts available.
FOOD:
The food we ordered was 2 dishes, Chicken Mandi and Chicken Madfoon. The difference in these dishes are that the Mandi is cooked in the tandoor while the Madfoon (meaning buried) is supposedly slow cooked under the sand, as they did in the old days when ovens weren't around!
Inside the booth, a large plastic sheet is laid down and the waiter gets you a soup and a salad to start with.
The soup is a peppery blend of tastes.. Its tastes like a flavored chicken soup with a spicy finish. The salad is a mix of rucola and a few fresh vegetables.
1) CHICKEN MANDI:
The dishes were served on the same plate, on a bed of rice. The mandi, which is the piece of chicken on the right, is a well marinated half of chicken with skin. The fragrant flavors of chilly, cumin, cardamom and cinnamon shine through on the first whiff! The textures are soft and juicy with no signs of over cooking.
The chicken melts in your mouth when you take a bite!
2) CHICKEN MADFOON:
The Chicken Madfoon, on the left, has completely different flavours, being cooked on sand, the madfoon, has a roast chicken flavor. Earthy textures of the meat break in your hand as you touch the chicken, its just super tender!
The flavors are milder and offers less chilly flavor. Madfoon encompasses flavors of ground pepper, coriander, cloves and cumin, which are infused well with the meat
The fragrant rice is not to be missed..with hues of saffron and sunset yellow, the rice is beautifully cooked, with each grain separate. The rice also serves as a vehicle for draining the excess oil of the chicken which makes the rice even tastier!
The Mandi experience was one which was both an astonishment and a delight! It really taught us to look for the local cuisine as a place has its true riches, in the food of its ancestors!

They run out of meat mandi sometimes, but both chicken and meat mandi and madfoon are amazing.

One of the better Mandi places in International City. Thought to have a lamb dish but they were out. So chicken mandi it was. Pretty good portion and well cooked. The spicy sauce adds to the flavour. Delivery is quick.

You know their are so many big Mandi joints now in Dubai, but these places are what i love. Big joints = big prices . MAndi is Mandi and here they serve good quality food cooked perfectly. have had the chicken mandi many times. and dont forget the spicy sauce it comes with - it makes it better if you are a spice lover like me!
Have been there many times... They serve the authentic and the best mandi, madhbi biriyanis in Dubai... It tastes yumm and is affordable.. The accompaniments like tomato chutney also taste good.. I wud suggest this place for those who have cravings for Arabic biriyanis..

One of the very good Mandy places to try. I tried the meat Mandy and it was great. The salads are also very tasty, the yogurt salad though as missing lemon.
Mandi time is not a delicacy place to dine in located in the roadside easily noticeable.. This place is decorated with Arabic theme.. They privet room for family's and most of the time it's empty..
Their mandi Maddison are amazing and AFFORDABLE than any other mandi shop..
On a Tuesday evenig by 7pm the madhfoon was finished so if u really wanna try them gotta go early there..

Had lunch two times here with my yemani friends which everyone liked. Being Mandi is a yamani dish, my friends were happy with the taste and portion size. I really liked the soup which they serve before the main. We tried chicken madbi, madfoon, meat madbi there.. Tomato chutney along with curd goes well with the main dish. Love the flavors and would go again. Recommend to Mandi lovers.

The best and reasonable mandi in international city. One chicken mandi costs only 20 dirham and it's enough for 2 peoples. We are ordering the same for the last one year. They deliver very fast for us. Their charcol mandi is delicious, that keeps us order it again. But never tried mutton items from there. Their rice is so nice.
