What was ordered : chicken 65 and chicken tikka biryani boneless
The chicken 65 had a very vibrant taste to it and it tasted the right kind of spicy and the quantity was good and it wasn't that oily also which made it perfect
The chicken tikka boneless biryani was just regular chicken tikka put on top of the biryani rice. The chicken tikka pieces went well with the rice but the quantity of the chicken and the rice was very uneven
I am not Pakistani but I love their food. I am reviewing my first online experience with Karachi Darbar. I ordered boneless chicken tikka khadai combo and mutton sheek kabab plus tandoori rooti.
I was so frustrated at first coz of the slow response. I had to call them for them to realize that I ordered via Zomato. I think they should be more conscious of their online orders and improve their coordination with zomato. Anyway, it took more than 1 hour to receive my order.
However, my frustration was lessened because of the food. Karachi Darbar is one of my favorite Pakistani food hubs. Food is really tasty and warm and will surely give you a big smile on your face after a sumptuous meal. Food servings are enough for two people. Price is very affordable. Hence, it’s still worth it.
My overall rating for the restaurant is still 4 stars despite the poor online delivery service and coordination. The food redeemed it. Online delivery is very crucial nowadays given that consumers are inclined towards accessibility and convenience when it comes to food service. Hence, Karachi Darbar should see this as their room for improvement in order to give their customers a reason to tick that 5th star for them!
I really really love this place, the service is quick, food is great and it’s not cheap. The staff is very courteous only if the gravy in the dishes could be increased that would be great. My all time favourite here is mutton peshawri and roti. A must must try
Amazing food. We have tried other branches as well but this one is the best.. the food was great. Seekh kabab and Karachi kabab is a must try and the rasmalai is to die for..Do try whenever you are around . Suitable for both veg and non veg lovers
When we are in the mood for some good Pakistani cuisines, the first place that always pops in our mind is Karachi Darbar Restaurant. My family and I have been frequent customers at this eatery as far as I can recall and their dishes have remained the same throughout with no changes in taste, ingredients and flavours, now that’s something to look forward to. A successful eatery that has been passed down from father to sons, defining the simplicity of this cuisine has been their top priority. Here’s what our desi cravings settled on(read way below on the other recommended dishes we enjoyed):
‘Chicken Achar’: I love this dish solely due to the inclusion of pickles in it, pickled mangoes to be more specific. I am a fan of tangy/sour food, and this right here just does it for me. The chicken(bone in) is cooked to tenderness with pieces of mango in thick gravy, the spices are on point, the subtle sprinkle of herbs on the top, believe me, the pickled flavour does not overwhelm the entire dish at all. What’s even better is this delicacy is also sold in Mutton, yes!.
‘Prawn Masala’: glad to find actual prawns in this dish, unlike other places. Juicy prawns cooked in thick gravy infused with curry leaves, aromatic spices and fresh ingredients. The simplicity of this eat goes well with a plate of rice, bread or even some hot roti. Seafood done right!.
‘Chana Masala’: I love all sorts of lentils, they are too good and yumm. As is the delicious case here. Chana Dal cooked in thick semi-spicy gravy will have you scrapping the bowl down-to-the-end. This is perfect to have with any dish as a side or even a main.
‘Mixed Fried Rice’: a generous portion of rice tossed with carrots, green peas, fried egg, slightly sautéed chicken and decent sized prawns. This is our go-to dish whenever we drop by the eatery. The flavours are effortless and it’s good enough to be shared with 2 people. They also have Mixed Fried Noodles that is equally as delicious as the rice.
Our dinner was accompanied by our most favourite breads, Rumali Roti and Tandoori Roti, just the right match for the gravy’s on our table. There are so many scrumptious eats to try here, and these are what I recommend, Chicken Tikka Biryani, Shahi Haleem, Palak Paneer, Nihari, Keema, Butter Chicken, Chicken 65, Chicken Afghani, Chicken/Mutton Tikka, Mutton Paya and Chicken Kadai.
For the love of authentic desi eats.
Karachi Darbar is one of the best Pakistani food outlet in Dubai
Good service cooperative staff
We ordered chicken Biryani and it was delicious with a perfect biryani taste long grain rice well cooked blended with spicy masala
We also tried chicken peshawari it has an amazing flavour and enjoyed with the freshly prepared chapatis
Nihari is also good
All food reasonably priced and neatly packed
People looking for a economy meal must try Karachi Darbar joints. The quantity would be enormous for the money spent. Pakistani cuisine at its best in here. Their breakfast menu is the cheapest one around UAE. Biriyani, veg dishes and roti also falls on the price range where everyone can afford. Definitely must try joints in UAE 🇦🇪.
Best Pakistani Food .. As an indian i loved eating pakistani food specially in karchi darbar (haleem)👌👌👌👌yummy as always ..why dont you have kari pakora in the menu???
Wow !!!!. This Place is Amazing place for a get together for a mast group of people. Can Easily Accommodate around 75-100 in the 1st floor. The Ifthar Arrangements were very good. The Chicken and Mutton Byriyani were simply Delicious. Its So Amazing that , U are not able to eat anymore for Sahr. The newly renovated interior drags you innnnnnn.
Buttered chicken and fried rice are the best here!!! Too tasty. Mostly, guys are eating here so a little tip - do not wear shorts or skirts or dresses.
Recently visited this branch after a long gap because this branch was closed for at least three years . Now they just reopened the branch after renovation. The branch is beautiful and there seems a huge juice bar which made the branch very beautiful . The taste of food is same as in their another branches but the ambiance is very much nice. Again I visited this branch and liked the variety of their juices very much , very much amazed by their juices variety so revising my rating from 3 to 4 ⭐️
Another favourite spot which i frequented in the late 2000. That point, it was one of the most popular pakistani restaurants around there frequented even by Indiands. Today it is lost in the middle of all the restaurants that have risen on that streeet.
Karachi Darbar has reopened its Al Muteena branch as a 2.0, a total revamp and relaunch of the super successful, affordable Pakistani franchise originally established in 1973. Hey, hold on, the UAE wasn’t even around then…hmm. It took a while, but you just have to see this place – it’s so different from the rough, Pathan-masculine image most KD outlets have had throughout the years. In addition to being all fancy and clean, it’s also very obviously family focused – a complete floor is dedicated to ‘family’.
I was in Dubai in the week 2 of this month and was keen to have Pakistani food in there since Dubai is bombarded with famous Pakistani restaurants.
I had ordered Kashmiri Mutton with Roti & Raita. I must admit it was one of the most enjoyed meal of my life. An absolute paradise. Mutton was garlanded with Cashew, Nicely cut exotic fruits and sliced Egg white.
I was blown away with the presentation and when I finally had the first bite 0I ventured into heaven. Mutton was delicious beyond words. I was spell bound. This place is a must visit if you are in Dubai. A gateway to heaven.

One of best restaurants to eat Pakistani food and many other. We frequently this place at least twice in a week. Grilled chicken. Butter chicken and even the Motton dishes are the best. Though they do not have the brown roti the food is quite good. Service is excellent n fast n friendly.

Clean tidy well lit and big. Very nice ambiance.
Staff is extremely friendly.
Menu options on the card are a lot and they are divide into timings for breakfast, lunch dinner. At times some of the items are not available also.
I ordered Peshawari Chicken Kadai which was finger licking.
Shahi Haleem is also amazing.
Their local tandoori roti has taste of its own & should eaten when its served hot.

If you are , going to introduce cuisine to a greenhorn, this is the place to go. Situated where most Filipinos reside in Deira, KD branch is perfect.
A little spicy for comfort for our taste buds to take, the Buttered Chicken, Mutton Kadai and Chicken Tikka has the closest semblance to some of our dishes back home but with a distinct edge of course.
Acquired taste I have developed for eating anything Indian/Pakistani is being paid forward to my countrymen, so they could enjoy a wide spectrum of dishes while they stay here in Dubai. After all, restos of the same nature are in every nook and cranny of the metropolis.
Place is as always clean with ventilation suitable. Servers were courteous and were fast. The Mango Lassi was perfect to cap the night among friends who have just set foot in the Emirate.
Told them as a tip, embrace the culture that is here in our host country and along with it be adventurous to discover new dishes for you to learn more about this melting pot of an Emirate called Dubai. What better place to look for, other than www.zomato.com.
Just when you think Dubai isn't the place anymore for a good hearty meal which doesn't burn a hole in your pocket, your search brings you to Karachi Darbar. While the one in particular I choose to review is the Muteena location, I've heard the same general consensus about its various other locations. The look and interior has changed a bit over the many years since their establishment in Dubai. They can also boast of an ISO Certification in adding to many years of their presence in Dubai. I've been frequenting KDR for years, i finally decided to write a review.
On with the food. Its YUM. Enough said. It was just me and brother. We ordered Chicken Tikka pieces and prawn fry, which they claim is marinated in their special KDR Recipe. Both of the dishes came within 10 minutes and were well cooked. The prawns were good, but nothing special. The Chicken Tikka was fantastic, tender, well marinated and cooked evenly.
For the main course, we ordered Chicken Muglai and Mutton do Pyaza. This was accompanied by Tandoori Roti's and a. simple yet tasty item called Keema Parata. All of it came within 15 to 20 minutes (The mutton took some time).
The dessert here is an absolute favourite of mine and a hit with many people...The Kheer. Another item they claim to be cooked using a special KDR recipe, this dish is delicious. To those who have not tasted it before, it is has a pudding texture with ground nuts. A fantastic way to end the meal.
Although the service may not be so great at times due to the number of customers, the food will leave you satisfied for sure and making you want to return for more.
We were very pleased with the quality of the food (although hot and spicy for Dutch taste!) and the quality of the service, by captain Kashif and his team! Pim and Wilfred, Amsterdam NL (4-9 january 2014)
