It is a great place for South Indian food. I never had such a tasty dosa and Sambher. It is just like home made.
Tried their biryani & fish thali over the weekend. The quantity was really good, but the biryani in-itself was tasteless and just too dry. The fish thali had so much to offer and is probably a better dish on the menu to order.
Their chicken biryani is just amazing. It is not with a-lot of masala but has its own flavor which is perfect along with the perfect consistency. Spicy, tender chicken and pulao kind of a texture.
We ordered the
Nalla enna Chicken (Highly Recommended. The chicken was cooked to perfection)
Pepper Crab Masala
Kal Dosa
Chicken Biryani
Special Nanari Sarbath (Must try)
The quantity of the food was decent. The Nanari sarbath was the perfect way to end the meal. The service was very good. Pocket-friendly. Overall, a good experience.
Nice food, simple ambiance. We had the spicy fried chicken which was really tasty and spicy. If u are into the South Indian taste, this is a place to try.
Had ordered for meen mangai curry, nalli roast, chicken Lollipop and fish biryani. Food tasted good. Fish curry was bit spicy to my taste but others liked it. Nalli roast was surprisingly good, the pieces were very succulent and upto the mark. Food arrived hot before time with good packing.
I have first tasted the spicy flavors of chettinad at Anjappar back in Kormangla, Bangalore a few years ago. It was lip smackingly good. So with the same expectations here again in Dubai I go to to their restaurant . And, as expected they were perfectly as per my expectations. Extremely delicious to the core. We ordered the Nattu Kozhi Biryani, which had four generous pieces of Chicken mixed with extremely spicy authentic chettinad Masala. The biryani was spicy and delicious too. The Mutton biryani on the other hand contained, soft and succulent mutton pieces and an extremely good mix of rice. The chicken kuruma gravy was a special winner too. Everything was as par the mark. Anjappar didn’t fail me until now. Can’t wait to go back and try their one more branch once again.

If you are craving for South Indian non veg food, consider this place as 1st option... They have best items which are really tasty and good for people like me who loves spicy food... I keep going to this place with my South Indian friends in Dubai and Abudhabi as well... Their biriyani and gravies are my favorite... Staff are friendly and prices are reasonable...
A Chettinad special traditional culinary has brought the taste of south Indian to Dubai. Had a veg thali which was value for money, a good place to visit with family. Last but not the least, Soft spoken staff will be remembered until you visit next time.
This place is one of our frequent choice for their variety of South Indian spicy food. My hubby misses the authentic food from India and this is the closest we could find. Every dish is tasty! The price is reasonable and the staff are friendly!
Tried chicken thali and chicken biryani, both were good. Great service, very courteous staff, ready to help you with the menu. Reasonable price and pocket friendly restaurant.
Last night, I had ordered dinner, online from here, and it had arrived quicker than the estimated time; which was pretty amazing, along with the food, which consisted of Tandoori Chicken, Mutton Biryani, and Gulab Jamun.
Besides these, I would definitely want to visit the restaurant sometime and try some of the other dishes on the menu
The cheapest place for thali in Dubai. Yes! It is surprisingly cheap yet the taste wasn’t compromised at all. Everything’s just mouth watering. Good taste and service as well. My friends and I enjoyed it so much and made us all sleepy after coz they’re too generous in giving rice, papad, chapati, etc.
Order delivered incorrectly
Perfect place to dine-in if you ever miss South Indians food. Especially if you r from Tamilnadu. For the ambience , the place was over crowded(maybe coz i went on a Thursday eve) Unfortunate for me, i cudnt get a seat on the first floor.Ended up eating food wit the commuters on road starring at my food order😝. Best to ask for first floor to dine in.
As for the food, I ordered
chicken curry with idli dip. it taste perfectly like ‘namma ooru’ food.
Chicken pepper soup- ur nostrils runs out(very spicy)
Chicken 65- crispy outside and juicy inside. Cooked to the perfection
Madurai spl chicken curry- authentic taste but had the coconut flavors dominating
Mutton biryani- yummy
No complaints.
Hospitality was remarkable. I was been checked every now n then about my comfort nd about the food.
Price is very affordable. Left the restaurant wit a smile
Happy customer.
Ordered chicken 65, chicken pepper soup
(rasam), mutton briyani, madurai chicken (special). Food was very good in taste and wheat paratha as well. Order was fast even though it was crowded. If u r in karama and want to try chettinadu food then try this one
Ordered chicken pepper soup and chicken 65 for the starters. South Indian paratha, madurai spl. Chicken curry and mutton biryani as the main course.
Food was served super quick and amidst the crowd, the people serving food were considerate enough to check on us.
Food_no complaints about the food
Ambience _crowded and open. Ground floor was completely transparent to the outsiders passing by. Lucky if yu get space on the first floor.
Host_excellent service.
Good food and gives a taste of chettinad. One of the favorite cuisines, this restaurant churns out wonderful dishes which is enjoyable. As I am from Chennai, the tamil style biriyani is something I go for pretty much every time. Keep it up guys.
I just went for dinner food was tasty cool interior and comfortable seating good value of money
Excellent service.
I will come back again next time
Good ambience and decor. Very polite and friendly staff. The a.c. wasn't working but the staff made sure we were seated comfortably. Would have preferred the filter coffee with a davara set though it was given in a cup and saucer. The food was well cooked and very tasty. Highly recommended.
Anjappar was a super awesome experience! The Mutton varuval curry with Madhurai perotta was super yummmy 😍. I loved idli and mutton curry as well. Mutton bone soup was the typical Tamil style spicy soup. Good ambience, economical and good service.
We wanted to have chettinad dishes and with few top choices of Chettinad restaurants in Dubai, we opted Anjappar Restaurant in Karama.
There are two floors, ground and first floor. So a good amount of people can be accommodated even during peak hours I guess.
We went to first floor. The ambience was cool and not too noisy with Melody tamil songs in the background. No much crowd. I am a vegetarian and hubby loves NV. So here I have my review based on both our views.
The server was pleasant. He suggested few dishes. Our order went like this based on his suggestions,
Veg Mancho Soup
Mushroom chukka
Veg Briyani
Valayapatti chicken dry
Anjappar chicken briyani(made of Jeeraga Samba rice)
My husband was happy with his chicken dishes. Well, he doesn’t appreciate that easily. They looked and tasted delicious. Chickrn Briyani could have been a little better but no big complaints from him.
I liked my veg Briyani , I do understand people come to this hotel for NV dishes but still this veg dish was good. Mushroom chukka was a good side dish as well.
The quantity was enough as well. We were able to finish to some extent though I had some veg Briyani leftover. Guess soup was heavy on me😉
Dessert time😇 Then we had Jigirthanda at the end with ice cream and it did taste like authentic jigirthanda ❤️ So overall a very good dinner experience.
Would rate 4/5 ❤️
@ Anjappar Karama
I had been to Anjappaar back in Coimbatore during my college days it served as a rain to my bland mess food.and thus it was nice to visit Anjappaar here. We had non veg (chk) thali and chicken biriyani. Both the items wer good but my pick wud b the thali. It was well worth the money paid

Had a good experience with the chettinad flavors , nattukozhi biriyani was awesome and tasted the famous jigarthanda drink , which was superb, this is a place for people who luv spicy food...
Food was good.. but quantity less for the price..
As Usual South Indian Meal is at Best.
Chappathi is whole wheat, you can’t get this anywhere in nearby restaurants.
Good taste . Packing may be improved further by changing the box and provide tissues in every delivery.
