You want to have dosa. But not just sada dosa and you don't want a full masala dosa.. besides you are very hungry.
Try Karandi's special Five taste uthappam. Five thattu dosa topped with potato masala, onion, tomato, podi.. and all these you will get under 10dhs. Good service but limited space for dining. Hygiene needs to be improved.
Economical food with good taste. Try their madhu vada and bhajia its amazing. Breakfast items are good
Karandis is a tiny shop located in Karama serving great South Indian delicacies, known for their Non-Veg dishes. I recently ordered the Plain Biryani (Must try) and the Veg and Non-Veg meals. Very well-portioned at extremely pocket-friendly prices. The food was good and so was the packaging. Overall, a good experience.

We only had the egg biryani and nannarisarbath.. Egg biryani was pretty good, I'm no biryani expert but it was pretty tasty. Decent service, only issue is having to sit outside in the heat 😪
Had chicken kothu parota here and I didnot expect it to be so delicious and the pricing is also really cheap compared to the other places. They have many more varieties and would love to try more

Ordered masala dosa, idli vada and kottu paratha. The taste is really good. Good amount of sambhar and chutneys they give. Just while delivering the food becomes cold.
We were bit sceptical to opt in, heavily because of the limited seating facility and summer had just started. There were just 2 tables indoor and few more outside. But since the outside tables were hardly occupied and a cooler outside, we decided to give it a try.
Rightly so, we were served with some tasty authentic South indian food. We ordered mushroom masala dosa, ghee dosa, mutton biriyani, omlete and a filter coffee. The mutton biriyani was the typical tamil biriyani with good succulent pieces of mutton. The dosa varities were crisp and accompanied with the tasty chutney and sambhar. Topped with their signature Jigartanda which I always wanted to try.

Highly recommended if you want to have tamil food. Ghee dosa and especially their chutney was so damn good. Don’t forget to try their ginger tea.My favo.
Fresh and yummy food. Their teas and coffees are amazing. The traditional sukku malli kaapi is so soothing, briggs nostalgia. Their mint tea is also extremely refreshing and fresh.
Whoever like Dosa‘s this will be a heaven for you, they have plenty varieties of Dosa, A small shop looks like a cafeteria which serving better Dosa than the overrated restaurants. Good service hope will never make you disappointed.
Filter coffee with Tamil snacks dal vada. Filter coffee is ok but vada both medu and dal are amazing its crispy with nice flavour and masala should try

Reasonable little place in Karama that also delivers to sheikh Zayed Road. Delivery service is also really quick and nice.

On my way to urban tadka I found this small cost eatery. The name karandi attracted me n thought we should give it a try.
Ordered plate mirchi bajji n sukku malli tea n nannari Sharbat.
Mirchi n sukku malli tea were good. Loved the aptly spiced mirchi bajji.
The nannari Sharbat didn't taste good. It jus tasted like sugar syrup. Spoke to the manager about it. He didn't charge us for it.
So nice of the manager.
Will definitely return here to try their other specialities.

Ordered idly ,Pongal vada & ghee roast everything was very good .Homely taste at affordable prices.Vada was crispy and tasty , ghee roast was too good .
A friend suggested this place while we were searching for some tea in Karama. It’s a tiny place but has outdoor seating, which is good if the weather is not extreme.
Undoubtedly the best chai you will get in the area and the ginger one is even better.
Saw a lot of orders being sent out for home delivery, so got tempted and ordered a mutton biryani for take away.
The biryani was hot till we reached home and had a lot of flavor without any overload of spices, with a very homely touch to it.
Will be trying more food from here and hoping this humble place delivers the same quality, as our first experience.
Small in stature but Big on flavour.
Visited the restaurant once and was instantly hooked; their dosas are fresh and their accompanying sambar and chutneys are to die for. Instant comfort food and ecstatic to say that they deliver home and are prompt each and every time!
Their chai is done to perfection and is the perfect end to my weekdays.
Definitely a must try if you are in the Karama area!
Good location, friendly and quick service. Ginger Tea and mixed meals good choice. Behaviour of persons working in Karandis restaurant are very good.
I don't know the meaning of KARANDI'S but I now I know one thing for sure.. If you need the famous Chennai Dosai and Kuppa Kofi... This is the place to go.. I simply loved it for the fact that I can vouch for their authentic Rawa Dosai and Absolute heavenly taste of the Filter Coffee.. It was late at night and as I could not decide on what to eat.. this place turned out be a gastronomic delight for me.. Highly recommended if you want to have authentic roast / dosa / coffee and ginger tea.. They made my day and I would ensure I visit them more often.. Keep up the good taste..

My Mom kept telling me about this one Tamil place where you get really good chai (tea), this one time she happened to have.
And so today, we made a quick run to Karandis on our way back from Aster Clinic, Karama.
Diagonised with throat infection, I was craving for some nice garam garam chai (hot tea). Ordered the Ginger Tea (AED 2.50). Told them to make it medium sweet and strong. This is the best Ginger Tea I have had in a while. Nothing fancy; just plain old ginger tea. Its tastes just like home made. Soothing and comforting will best describe it.
Next, we ordered a Medu Vada (AED 2.50). It was served alongside coconut chutney and sambar. We made a visit at around 10:30 and the vada wasn’t that fresh, had lost its crispiness and was a little hard. The chutney on the other hand is WOW! Very spicy and the perfect dip for vadai and even dosa’s.
Also noticed that they are serving the very Madurai special, Jigardhanda! Cannot wait to go back and have them, once I recover.
This is a very tiny place- with two tables and four chairs each inside plus an area outside that can seat around 16 people.
A super economical place; especially for bachelors who fancy south indian breakfast. They also have a variety of dosa’s on their menu and other items.

Newly opened pocket friendly tiny South Indian joint in Karama. We ordered Medu Vada and Dosa thinking, that's the best to explore any South Indian joint and we were not disappointed at all. Delicious crisp medu vada with onion, coconut chips. We ordered plain paratha with curry, paratha was very crunchy, served hot and curry was very tasty. We noticed Chinese dishes, decided to give it a try and to our great surprise they were equally good. Having asked for the bill, total came Dhs 49.50 - Paratha with Kurma (2), Egg fried rice (1), Chicken Fried rice (1), Chicken 65 half (1), Plain paratha and Ginger tea (1) and bottle of water. Undoubtedly delicious food and value for money.
Cons - Chinese served without schezwan sauce. Communicating with the staff was difficult since they were not able to speak Hindi very well.
Will definitely visit again. Not to forget, wanna try Jigarthanda on our next visit.

Briyani is wonderful. One of the best place for South Indian briyani in Karama. Prefer chicken briyani over mutton briyani.
Tried chicken and mutton starters, they are also great.

Truly brings the taste of Chennai to Dubai...from the Biryani to Kothu Parotta to Mutton Soup to the Tea...all reminds you of the amazing Chennai street food varieties. The quantity is decent as well. They have a huge variety of Dosas as well....Havnt tried any of those yet. A must try on your next visit to Karama...this menu won't disappoint you.
Loved the service and the attention they give for an order, Karandi egg special, Kalaki were really different and tasty egg dishes, the Vada was also crispy. Loved the cola and rose water drink as well, much different than the normal aerated drinks.. Best part is that it is economical, pocket friendly and healthy food.. Definitely recommend and must try for all..
I ordered ghee dosa.... soooo gooood ... two fav chutneys gave the taste of home food ... also I had parota with chicken sherva .... after long time I feel the taste of chennai food in DUBAI......

Food is very delicious here. I visited with my friend and his wife.. everyone liked the food .. we tried mutton soup that was very yummy. Their mint tea is special and unique I found.
My wife ordered ghee roast doss and vada. Very crisp and tasty. Chutneys are the highlights. We loved it.!! I liked mutton soup. We are filled for just under 30 aed. Menu is pocket friendly. We will definitely go again and recommend my friends.

Great dosas, tasty food and filter coffee is the best in dubai
I happened to visit newly opned Karandis Cafeteria, for the first time. It is small fast food in Karama. The dishes served here were really delicious and it tasted like the South Indian food and its packet friendly as well.

Final word: The dosas are very tasty but medhu vada and filter coffee is the best. I wouldn't mind coming here again just for the filter coffee and vada.
