Nalukettu is one of the best restaurants serving authentic keralite food . Have been here many times and can definitely compared on the top 5 kerala restaurants in dubai. Coming to the food have always been a fan of their afternoon meals on d banana leaf. They have buffets on Thursday night and Fridays.They also have a good a la carta menu. Am a super fan of their appams .

My go-to place for a quick drink and some tasty food. Badly lit but clean, the crowd here is tacky but not once have I been bothered here by anybody probably because ladies also serve food here whom we fondly refer as "chechi". Food is great, spicy more than required. Service is good. I'm sure this place sees more family kind of crowd than other restaurants in Grand Hotel. Seafood is better tasting than the other cuisines but their Onam Sadhya was something else. We noticed how crowded it gets here but we were always treated nicely even if we were made to wait.

We often visit this restaurant. We have been here on last week. The ambiance is good for family too. We ordered Kappa, Kottayam Beef Roast, Chutty Fish curry, Malabar Chicken Curry. Kappa & Fish are really good. Chicken curry has sweet taste. I think they added cashew paste.

One of the best places offering naadan dishes, with some live cooking. Dishes are priced reasonably and ambience is decent for families too. Alcohol is also available, so there is something for everyone. Parking also is adequate, so there isn’t much to complain about this joint...
Been a regular eater at this restaurant since childhood. The first time we ate from nallukettu was from the fujairah branch ever since we have been a regular visitor at grand hotel branch. Perfect place for any family get together to have a happy lunch or dinner with very polite staff who have gopd knowledge of how to guide customers when they are confused on what dish to order. I will go there again and again !
Visited this month at Dubai Grand Hotel on the occasion of my wedding anniversary. Both my wife and I had a wonderful time. While my wife, who was there for the first time, felt completely spoilt and pampered by the staff at the table, I was as always satisfied with their signature hospitality and service. It was also a trip down memory lane as I used to visit this place occasionally with family and friends. Food was above par as always. From the succulent starters to the delectable main course meals, we were on a journey of edible bliss!
I would like to convey my sincere appreciation and thanks to each and every staff and also the manager who was there till the end to make sure everything is going well.

Last time we visited here for the lunch on a weekend and it was something special on that day. The tribal cuisine - A buffet lunch of uncountable dishes. Literally I was surprised at the number of dishes displayed there. The good thing was we could find many dishes which we haven't tried anywhere. Lot of variety dishes were there. Seriously I couldn't taste all the dishes because I was full by that time. Different types of pickles and chutneys, meat seafood dishes.
Neat place with great ambiance of a 'nalukettu' model. The food was tasty and the service was good.
Many times i went this restaurant....i really like there appam....We ordered natholi fry it was fully burned and we asked to the server he told here we are serving like this....rest chicken curry malabar style beef fry porotta everything was nice......
Had weekend dinner in Nalukettu. We ordered Chicken biryani with Netholi Polichathu. Chicken biryani is nice. But I will say Netholi polichathu as their signature item. The taste is really awesome. Will visit again for Netholi Polichathu.

Dropped in at this kerala joint for some dinner after a long day at work.
We got ourselves the Naadan beef fry, kozhikodan chicken chatti curry with some porrata and appam on the side. It goes without saying that the "never-getting-old" combo of choodu porrota and melting naadan beef coconut fry will never disappoint anyone (and it did not!). The appam was hot and fresh and tasted really good as well. The chicken curry, however, was not upto our expectation. For a naadan chatti curry, it wasn't spicy at all and was too sweet for our liking.
Coming to the service, all our needs were tended to very quickly.
On the whole, I had some nice kerala food and I'd definitely visit again for some beef, porrota and beer!

Went for lunch and had their kerala sadya. good, tasty, authentic, typically mallu style sadya served in banana leaves. Number of accompaniments were also good. Ordered fish curry and beef fry additionally which also came out brilliant. For a mallu who hardly get a chance to eat a proper kerala meals, it was a good experience for me.
To rate, quality of food was good, staff were courteous, ambiance was ok, indeed value for money.
I really like this place. It's a bar and a restaurant at the same time.

I came with my friends yesterday for drinks and dinner.
For the starters we ordered the Konju Porochathu. That was amazing! It was so good that we had to order it again! The veg Manchurian was really good and as well as the chilli chicken!
For the main course I went for the Kappa Biryani Chicken. Loved it! They should've toned down the spice a little down as it was too spicy to be eaten, but I still loved it!

I have been there with my family Last week, We had Ordered Beef Ularthiyathu and Meen Mulakittathu with Appams and Paratha, which were Excellent. The Service was timely, Good ambience...They offer a lot Variety in the Menu......A must Visit Place
I saw the Zomato rating as 3.3 average. But my father kept recommending the place from his earlier trips but i kept avoiding due to Zomato rating. Recently i decided i will try the place and 3.3 is extremely low for nalukettu. I had the duck roast and kerala porota and beer. Beer was nominally priced, duck roast masala was AMAZING and porota was extremely crisp. Very difficult to get a 5 rating from me but i was very impressed with nalukettu food. Service was average. Decor was also good. Hope they maintain food standards.

One of best places to have fish molly which is my favourite. The taste of kerala food served here is perfect. Mappas preparation is another speciality, with very creamy gravy. Weekend buffets are also good to enjoy kerala cuisines.

The 3 best things are
1. It's also served in the evening
2. It was a buffet SADHYA
3. The special onam dishes and sadhya + it had some non veg delicacies and ice cream...So unlike Onam meal
Nevertheless the food and taste was good...the ambience was ok...they need some better lighting...

Awesome family restaurant for beer and keralite food. If you want to catch up with a bunch of friends over beer and mallu food on a lazy weekend, then this is your place. The food is really good and so is the service.
Perfect place for a beer and appams with spicy tongue tickling curry. The tradition ambience with the ladies in the typical kerala style sarees. Plus the ample about of tv with a mohalal movie plugged in at all hours is enough to sit down with friends and enjoy the company and meal.
Well. A mixed review about this place actually. Since it was a buffet, some dishes were really good, and some dishes were below average. The dessert options could have been better too.

I went here on Friday to have lunch, they have a very economical lunch buffet. For only approx aed.60 per person you get to enjoy a variety of veg and non veg south indian dishes and you can refill and eat as much as u like!!
I love their mota rice with the fish curry and coconut chutney. I also love their payasam. You can choose between ice creams or payasam.
The restaurant interiors are not all that great and it is quite dark, I suggest they light it up well.
The service is great, their servers are prompt and always helping with a smile.
Alcohol is also served at Nalukettu.

This is a must visit place for Keralites. Good place to get a taste of Kerala food and alcohol. Love the food here especially Beef Fry and Chicken Chilly Kerala Style. They served live appam and egg appam along with Mutton Stew.
First thing I want to put forth if you are searching for some real Kerala mutton delicacy drop here. Chicken lollipop needs to be better. Fish was ok but expected more fresh. Coming on sweet side payasam was awesome. On the other hand place is hotter than expected. Met chef after having food to thank him and discuss on drawbacks too. Look forward to visit again soon.

Quite pricey for the amount of food they give, yet real authentic Kerala food! Make sure you try their appams, crispy like papadams! Quite dark, but the seats are cozy.
Not always busy, but if you have more than 4 people, it's better to call before you reach there.
Good kerela food complimented with a dark dodgy vibe and cheap booze. Avoid the friday lunch buffet. The fried prawns are off the hook. And the kerela paratha is one of yhe best in town

Every single time one of my family member craves for kerala cuisine for dinner, we get to nalukettu restaurant. My previous reviews have been morning more than three stars.but this time around it was the sea food player which blew my taste buds off!

There should be a ‘Welcome to Kerala’ sign outside this restaurant. And a wall-mounted box with AA pamphlets at the entrance of the bar, through which you must pass to get to the restaurant. There are people (doggy looking people) drinking from early afternoon – on weekdays. Hello!
Walk in to the dark, dank, dreary interior and you’d have to have a severely blocked nose not to pick up its peculiar odour – imagine combining cheap cigarette smoke with the rank smell of stale beer, add a heavy dose of South Indian spices and then liberally spray green can Brut deodorant all over it – P.U.! On the two or three occasions I have been here, all weekdays, it’s been crowded, bar noisy and once, even a little rowdy. Judging by some of the shady characters in there, I would think twice before bringing my wife and kids here.
I come for the Thali which you can get in both Veg and Non-Veg. Their Thali is served on a banana leaf which reminds me so much of my travels through South India as a young man. I’ve tried both variants of the Thali and actually prefer the Veg but the non-Veg is really good too (except for the fish curry which comes with chunks of these little, bony fish which I just don’t know how to deal with – my Keralite/Malayali friends love it though).
There’s buzz here which you don’t find in many Indian restaurants in Dubai. It’s the amazing, authentic, hellishly hot food yes, but that you can get elsewhere too. After a couple of visits I think I’ve figured out where the Zzz comes from – it’s the booze! Or the combination of the two. Thali with brew – WooHoo! But good grief, I had no idea Malayalis/Malayalees liked beer so much. I think maybe I’m a little Malayali too.
This hotel is simply amazing! Actually I went to the nalukettu in RAK, unfortunately I didn't find it in RAK (in the search) so only I'm writing it for Qusais. But it is a very Gud restaurant and one of the best in RAK. I luv and all must try once!!! Nalukettu Rasalkhaimah Hilton

Had a function on a thursday night it was buffet for dinner and they had a huge variety of salads , starters , curries & desserts . All of them were pretty decent in taste & the grills where cooked well and served hot , if...
Decided to check out this place since me and a friend were closeby and wanted to have some kerala meals for lunch. AED20 for a fish curry meals with around 7 to 8 dishes isnt that bad. The food was tasty, nothing gone out of proportions. But there wasn't anything that stood out either. Ordered a karimeen pollichathu as well. It was spicy (just the way i had requested it to be). Generous amounts of the masala (with coconuts chunks, onions,garlic and so on). The fish came out to be AED 40.
Overall - a decent place to come by for a quick meal. Not so sure about how the evenings would be though.

If you are looking for Kerala spicy food it is a good choice. Kappa and fish curry was very good. Gobi Manchurian need to be more crispy. Beef coconut fry tasted average to us. There was lot of noise from the party hall which irritated us. As this hall is open, guests need to be responsible or hotel to implement rules and regulations while booking the facility. Else there may be less regular customers.
