The food was good but a little misleading. I ordered for a Chicken Paratha which usually would be a chicken stuffed paratha. But what I got was a Chicken Curry and 2 Kerala Parathas. The quality and quantity of food was good. Taste was typically Keralite but it was good. Quick on delivery. But im scared to order again from here coz i dont know what i will get when i order for something.
One of the true hidden gems. This restaurant should be featured everywhere. At such a cheap tariff ,how could they serve suh a wide variety of food is quite unbelievable.
From indian malabar items to north indian to hilly region, continental, italian, chinese, american, british- almost all types of snacks and courses are available.

● Fried momo. Great tasting. Lovely dips.
● Fish fry. With wedges. Two dips. Instead of one long fillet, multiple smaller pieces are given. Fried very well with a lovely batter. One dip in particular was brilliant. Great plating.
Highly recommended. I need to visit more to taste all items.
If only it was not hidden inside a bylane in one end of karama, this would have been a super sure hit amongst the foodies and connoisseurs alike.
Very good food. Esp the unlimited breakfast. Try prawn chatti choru if you are going in for lunch.
Beef masala dosa also rocks. Friendly staff.
Chicken nuggets is fabulous for pathil Restaurant. And chicken butter momos is amazing and good service for staff and helpful...and dosa fish kizhi is good...
Excellent and affordable food!
We visited this hidden gem, Pathil restaurant in Karama, Dubai on a weekday evening. They serve yummy breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner in a variety of cuisines.
Here is a review of what we tasted:
1. Avocado-banana smoothie: Presented in a very sophisticated manner, it was smooth, creamy and delicious.
2. Snacks:
Chicken fried burger: It was incredible to see how the whole burger was deep fried and it didn't look or taste oily. It was really satisfying.
Cheese balls: Served with an accompanying dipping sauce, these cheese-filled balls were tasty
Beef with banana fritters: This is a fast-selling dish at Pathil's - it was a hit!
Keema pav: It was delicious!
3. Pancake Tower: This was the ultimate! Loaded with berries and chocolate sauce, the pancakes were super yummy.
The staff is friendly and very helpful. The ambience is lovely and welcoming. Paid car parking could be a challenge at peak hours, but it's worth visiting this place.
Note: They are not only affordable but also serve the best food in town! A must try.

Cozy ambience. Good service. Universal spread multi cuisine. Must try pathils and chattichoru.
I am not too impressed with the taste but impressed with the variety they offer.
Had suhoor from this place. Ordered prawns chattichor, oyster chiĺly noodles and beef porotta kizhi. The chattichor was soo delicious especially the prawns fry which came along with it. Beef porotta kizhi was not tht great. The noodles were really yummy.
Exceptional service. Staffs made sure all our needs were met.
We were not so sure about this place after reading the reviews, but were very satisfied . Will definitely go back .
I rate 5 for the food but very dissapointed with the staffs. Very very bad service but good food. I request managmnt to change or train staffs. Food is typical traditional style. Well plated with good ambience.
Nice place for lovely food. Nice ambience and tasty food, helping and friendly staff. Its a small restaurant but still nice location and there are lots of parking near the restaurant.
Tried banana fry and beef, pav baji. Both were amazing. Loved it. Recommend

Items ordered:
1.) Masala dosa: The dosa was crisp and the sambar which was provided along with the dish was absolutely amazing to have as it was served at the right temperature.
Tried their morning unlimited buffet on a Friday morning. It was really good for the price they offer. Fresh and tasty, it wouldn’t blow your taste buds. But it’s not bad either. Very polite and friendly staff. Tried their keema dosa, beef dosa, cheese omelette, pancake and egg paratta. All over it was good!!

Lunch on a budget !! we all need some budget friendly places at the end of the month .. then @pathilthesnackstudio is your rescuer .. We tried Chatti choru which is a trend going on around .. Desi taste and total value .
Karama is the area filled with so called hidden gems, but this restaurant was definitely hidden but really a gem!. This place is a small joint with a woody setup and some small elements in the interiors which really pepped up the place!. Started off the meal with some simple drinks like Kiwi Mojito (extremely subtle on flavor and not too sugary), Passionfruit Mojito (again, decent on flavor), and Orange Ginger Juice (the best out of all and some really good flavors!
First of all, i avoided this place a lot for no reason thinking that it would be bad.
Regret being a prejudice. This place is definitely a hidden gem in karama.
Competing with all those mainstream restaurants, this is really worth a try.
Tried their kozhi ada ,keema, egg burgi and Tea
Which were really fresh and straight outta kitchen with great taste.
Good ambiance to chill for a while after a hectic day of work.
Looking forward to try their lunch.
Cheers guys. Keep going 🙂
First time order from this restaurant. Ordered erachi choru, got the parcel on time, thanks for not keeping wait. Packing is good, quantity also good.
Negatives - rice is overcooked and most important I need to mention is, did u forget to add salt!!!!
This place is unbelievable !
I have tried their Prawn risotto, American Breakfast, Chicken Biriyani,
Ghee rice Etc Etc and they are definitely great value for money.
I am not just delighted with their food but also their delivery to an over all experience.
Kudos to their entire team whose efforts are visible...
You guys rock!!
The ambience and their way of presenting the food is excellent. a good place to share snacks with your family and friends. The food tastes so fresh in every bite. Variety of Malabar and western. Combo of banana fry and beef curry is one of their special.
pathil restaurant located near Burjuman
on the way to Fahidi Metro, is the restaurant
which already became famous for the Robot
Waitress. It was all over the news and even |
was excited to try the service
This one is really a hidden gem. Amazing food ,taste was very good . Tried breakfast and Frankie. Frankie was really amazing .
Ambience is very good.
Would visit many more times to explore their menu. Recommend others to try.
We had an extremely yummy breakfast 🥞 and it was so satisfying and delicious. We will revisit this place and recommend to try their breakfast delicacies. We all were so busy eating and hence didn’t take pics 😬🤤
I can totally see this restaurant being my regular favorite! We ordered from here last night. Went for their ghee rice, pepper chicken combo. Generally the combo comes with beef fry, but we asked him to replace it with chicken fry. Since they did not have chicken fry they sent some chicken dish. We also ordered for the chicken biryani. Food was really really delicious. Both rice combos came with sweet, raita (which was spoiled unfortunately) papad, pickle and pickled onions. The taste of all the food was great. The prices are super affordable. The biryani was just 9 Dhs and ghee rice combo was 16 Dhs. It was totally worth the money.
The unlimited breakfast from this place is worth every penny.. a good mix of choices catering to our taste buds..the rest of the menu seemed interesting too..not to miss some nice ambience and friendly staff..highly recommend
Pathil restaurant is convienently located in Karama. Ambience was small very nicely done and swanky, neat, clean, cozy and very nicely maintained.
We tried Chicken Frankie, it had generous stuffing n tasted good, Omlette rolls, was unique with stuffing of chicken n cheese, its one of the best i had. Cheese Balls and Chilli Garlic Prawn, both were equally good. Chilli garlic prawn was bit spicy as the name suggest but its worth a try. We then ordered for the lamb biryani. It was the authentic type, it was served with raitha, salad, pickle and sevai kheer.
Drinks we tried was watermelon juice and sweet lime soda. Both were very fresh and tasty good. Dessert was the best. We had ordered for waffle with ice cream, the waffle was freshly made and tasty amazing.
Overall food was good and service was excellent.
To start with, the location is very calm and silent and is at a walkable distance from the Karama bus station. The interior is set in a pretty aesthetic manner as well and so it is instagram worthy. They also have a collection of board games and uno cards which makes the time waiting for food more entertaining.
The dishes in the menu gives a typical Thalassery vibe with a twist. All dishes in the menu are completely economical and worth the money by taste and proportion. The size of the glass that the avocado shake came in blew my mind. The texture of the shake was even more breathtaking; it was so thick and creamy making you want more of it.
Dishes tried:
•Fried burger
•Carbonara pasta
•Moroccan meatball pocket
•Sliders
•Avocado shake
•Blueberry mojito
•Gluay tod
•Naughty waffle
It was completely worth visiting.
Found this location on Instagram because of their breakfast deal. I went for dinner. Not a bad decision. I wanted to try all the dishes, but had to decide on a few. I Had the Banana fry with beef, Squid Roast and Chicken Peralan with Kerala Porotta. The dishes were on the spicy side. As I love spicy food; So Yum.
Ended the meal with a Naadan chaya. You also get to play scrabble while you are eating.
The ambience was quiet and the service was decent.
My next visit would be for breakfast.
Out of two places in Dubai, this is one of them which reminds me of my moms food.Have been here a 1000 times and will continue.
Combos of ghee rice , stew and beef is all time favorite. As name suggests the best part is to have their pathil or famous thalassery snacks at anytime. This is a concept no one had as they bake fresh snacks till closing. Dont gorget to order their desi tea.
Had great iftar parties and looking forward to many more. Wish you guys were in heart of karama and more people would have recognized the efforts ur chefs put in. Great service as well 😊
Waking up early for breakfast on a Friday morning is something I don't look forward to but since a friend of mine wanted to try their unlimited breakfast we were here today morning. The place may look like your average neighbourhood cafe but Pathil Restaurant is a hidden gem.
We ordered Waffles with nutella, Pancakes topped with chocolate sauce and banana slices, Masala dosa and American breakfast. Waffles were crisp and warm, Pancakes were soft and spongy. Toppings worked together beautifully with both. American breakfast and Masala were good but not the best. All of this was just 19 dhs per person. It was an amazing deal. The service was excellent. The servers knew what they were serving and were attentive.
By the end of the meal we were already planning our next visit. Board games, attentive service, good food and value for money is what you can expect from Pathil Restaurant. This place is perfect for groups and casual breakfast dates.

When I was first invited to Pathil I was a bit doubtful because honestly it sounded like a very dingy little cafeteria in the bylanes of karama. But if there is one thing this experience has taught me it's that you should never judge a book by it's cover.
Located in the area behind karama post office, this little eatery is truly a hidden gem! It's packed during the day with office-goers looking for a quick bite and during dinner time with takeaway and delivery orders. We happened to visit them on a weekday for dinner and they were literally bombarded with deliveries. As for dine-ins, there were just a couple of other diners, apart from us.
The restaurant has wooden interiors with bright lights. They have wooden benches rather than the typical table and chair set up. They don't really have a lot of seating so make sure u don't visit them during rush hour(lunch time).
The service is a little slow. But the flavoursome food definitely makes up for it!
Starting with the drinks, we tried the fresh mint lime and berry smoothie. They both were super fresh and tasted great.
Coming to the food, we tried the Erachi Pathil, chicken pillow, Adda, spicy prawn waffles. They all were absolutely lip-smacking! We also ordered the pasta, pav bhaji, felafel pizza and arancini which were just okay and not that great.
Go here for the south indian snacks rather than the continental dishes. You won't be disappointed.
My recommendations- pathil, adda, spicy prawns with waffles

Pathil Restaurant located near the Karama Post Office, is one of my favorite place to grab some Kerala food. I’ve been here a couple of times with my friends and also done take away for the family.
The restaurant is spacious with enough lighting. They have wooden chairs and tables which is the highlight. They also have glass boxes which have the display of Malabar Snacks which we can choose.
The food menu and the beverage menu is different. They have s long list of juices and smoothies along with different varieties of tea and coffee. I had the Berry Banana Smoothie as I am big fan of berries.
From the snacks, we chose a couple of dishes such as Kozhi Thalayina (Chicken Pillow), Erachi Parhil, Chatti Pathil and Stuffed Bread. All them are Malabar Snacks which are my favourite and each them tasted better than the other.
Fried Burger was another impressive dish from the menu. The stuffing was made out of chicken and then the dough is deeply fried and it looks like a burger.
We also had Pasta in white sauce with Mushroom, Paav Bhaji and Falafel Pizza. The pasta was not so special. The falafel pizza is something I’ve never tried before so felt so unique.
The waffle burger was another favorite of mine. The waffles tasted pretty good and it was not too sweet.
Banana Fry with Beef, is my most favorite dish from all the stuff I’ve tried. The batter fried banana is served with beef roast is the best combination of sweetness and savory. I’ve ordered this dish, a couple of times from the restaurant.
For dessert, we had waffles again but this time with ice cream and chocolate sauce.
We ended the meal with Tea and Black Tea which is the perfect way to finish a Malabar Meal.
This place is good for people who wants to try Malabar food and save some money as the dishes are so affordable.
Great story behind this restaurant. They opted to have an all in all snack studio because thats what people love about appetizers. Main course fills you up but you can always eat 3 appetizers and still be ready for desserts. Talk about variety in food and you get that variety and you can share 6-7 snacks if with your friends or family.
They have taken south indian snacks and made it into a starter and justified their cost with the portions. They also do burgers and pastas which is the most popular dishes with today's millennials. They also have keralas own specialty paratha and beef fry just to cater every age group.
I am amazed by the range of dishes they have and the perfection with which they cook them. I loved everything there and I dont want to menrion the dishes I had cause that will just take your oppurtunity to taste all their delicacies.
Had Pazhampori-Beef combo (AED 10) as a starter (or rather to check out the combo). It didn’t disappoint. Ordered Neypathil with Beef fry (more of a roast). Ney Pathil was pretty good and reasonably priced (AED 1) for its quality. The quantity of beef was pretty good for its price (AED 15). Served two and yet there was a good quantity left. All good except the beef was too spicy for me. Had to order passion fruit mojito because of that. And that didn’t disappoint either. The mojito (AED 15) again served two and had more quantity than anywhere else, I have been to. Overall a good experience.
Visited this place during a weekend. It was not crowded when we went there. May be its coz of weekend. Place is a bit inside. Good ambience and the food that we ordered were amazing. My lil one loved their Pav baji and the elder one liked their fried burger and cheese pizza. I tried their spicy waffle. Ginger lemonade was awesome. Will go again to taste the rest 😋
3 of us went and ordered Parato , pathil and beef and the taste was simply awesome and just like what U get in malabar kerala . Would suggest all the beef lovers to visit .
This quaint little place offers very reasonably priced wide variety of snacks. Highly recommended for those who love north malabar snacks like chatti pathiri.
They also serve superb combos with mutton/beef/chicken with ghee rice at a very reasonable price point unlike most other places in Dubai.
Good ambience , we ordered falafel and it was great . Chicken franky was good . The service was ok . Might be one of the few places worth the money
Pathil Snack Studio is an Italian and Indian fusion restaurant located in Al karama right next to the Karama Post Office.
This small snack studio serves best ever snacks like fried burgers, cheese balls, tacos and much more plus variety of drinks. Good place with lovely interiors, quick service and affordable prices.
What we ordered:
Fried prawns: Fried prawns are marinated with garlic, chilli, thyme and deep fried in batter. These are served along with yummy salad and drizzled sauce. To be honest, best batter fried prawns we ever tasted in Dubai. Batter was not too hard, in fact perfectly crunchy, prawns were juicy / well fried and salad tasted amazingb. All this only for 14 AED. Isn’t that so amazing?
chicken pillow: A chicken pillows is a pillow made out of a small, whole chicken. It is stuffed chicken with spicy masala covered in a dough along with boiled yolks and deep fried. Kozhi thalayanna finds it’s origin in the Malabar region of Kerala.
Well woah. We had no idea that it would be so huge. Enough for 3 people if anything else is ordered. We loved the taste of masala, however chicken missed some flavours.
Chilli garlic prawns: As we already mentioned before that @pathilthesnackstudio is very pocket friendly and guess what? These Prawns are for 14 AED only.
Chilli garlic prawns these are juicy prawns tossed with oil, garlic, chilli flakes and masala.
They were pretty good in size and were tasting amazing. And yes, that salad has our heart.
Arayes: as described by Pathil snack studio are grilled pita bread sandwiches stuffed with minced meat. Origin is from Levant region. The word Ara’yes in Arabic is a the plural word for Arous, meaning the bride. Isn’t a funny name for a food?
Well we really don’t know what to say about the name, but we just loved these arayes. They were so yummy and stuffed with really good amount of minced beef. Every bite was juicy and tasty. They also has mutton minced and mix meat with cheese. Nomnom, do try their Arayes.
Keema pav. Well needs no explanation at all. Mutton and beef keema are mainstream so we decided to try chicken keema. it is obviously a simple and famous Indian dish, but we always ignore the chicken if it’s keema. At pathil’s, it is served along with two buttered bread. Quantity was really good, however keema was not spicy.
Carbonara pasta: is an Italian pasta dish from Rome made with eggs, hard cheese, meat and pepper. The one we had was chicken pasta which was served with buttered bread. Well so creamy and cheesy with good amount of chicken pieces in it. Quantity was good and could be shared by two. They also has beef carbonara pasta.
Margarita pizza: Ok we admit. The best margarita pizza we had in our whole life. Right from the size to its price... wow. I mean look at it. Cheesiest, softest pizza on a thin base crust. This margarita pizza is loaded with extra cheese, and topped with cherry tomatoes and basil. We went gaga over the taste. This 6 pieces pizza is just for 10 AED. Beat that.
For the Desserts we tried their naughty waffles and Pancakes tower. Waffles were really amazing with two scoops of ice cream and chocolate syrup. While pancakes were good too but had too much smell of eggs. Nevertheless loved both.
Overall really nice restaurant with good staff and yes we highly appreciate their prices. Very affordable.
.
Good food and affordable snacks selection. Friendly staff, basic interiors and fast service. Parking is easy and restaurant is located in Karama near post office.
A place to enjoy snacks and multi cuisine dishes. Arabian, Mexican, Indian, Italian, Moroccan and my favourite Malabar food at affordable price. Must try Chatti Pathil...
Tried this place over the weekend, ordered kheema pav, fried burger, ghee rice combo with chicken Stew and mutton roast and Balognese pasta. Everything was good and yum! We thoroughly enjoyed the balognese pasta. All this for little less than 100dhs absolutely pocket friendly . Service was courteous and quick. Only downside they have mocktails counter right outside and sound of juice mixer is bit loud and startling at times! I have also from this place before and their delivery is prompt and food is neatly packed which is great!
Just tried this place for dinner and I’m definitely coming again. Chamil really helped us by recommending the best dishes and served us with a pleasant smile. We tried:
The Spicy Waffle
Mixed sauce penne pasta
Tacos
Nutella Pancake
And we loved each and every thing we had.
This place is highly recommended.
