I have always craved for their Haleem , for me which is my signature dish at Shehar Karachi. and it leaves no stone unturned in bringing the delicacies and deliciousness of traditional Pakistani recipes, such as Karahi, Haleem, Kebabs, Chicken Tikka, BBQ, and last but not the least biryani and vegetable-and pulses-laden curries. Excellent service and the guys who run the restaurant are very down to the earth . Great going ... Listed as one of my favourite hangout spot especially whenever i am craving for authentic Pakistani cuisine .

This hidden gem is located in Al Quoz (very close to the footbridge). Shehar-e-Karachi is small Pakistani restaurant that serves one of the best Karahi (also known as Kadai) in Dubai. The karahi are cooked almost oil free unlike most Pakistani restaurants where these dishes are usually greasy and soaked in oil. So, if you are craving for karahi but also want a healthy version, then definitely visit this restaurant.

We have ordered both Special Peshawari Chicken and Special Peshawari Mutton Karahi along with Daal Fry. These were served with freshly baked breads (roti). These were very delicious and you will never feel sleepy afterwards due to their cooking style.

We ordered Rabri (pronounced Raberee) for our dessert and this too did not disappoint us. Very sweet and tasty.

I was told they serve excellent mutton karahi with authentic recipe from Peshawar city. The restaurant is located in busy area so finding parking is not easy. Environment is not so clean, toilets were smelly. Mutton karahi was fine but not so great and it was definitely not "authentic recipe from Peshawar".
They don't deliver which is sad because the food was delicious. Specially the Mutton Kadai. Roti's were fresh and little bigger than normal Pakistani roti. Mutton korma was not that great. Almost all the dish were spicy and delicious as well.
Wow.... CHICKEN BOTI is one dish to die for. Really want to have their Chicken Boti again and again and again. Used to order Multiple plates of Boti's. Missing it......
Good roti, fresh salad, nice outdoor seating, satisfactory service but most importantly great mutton Karahi.

Very good Pakistani restaurant. Tandoori roti & peshawari chicken kadai was awesome. Little bit expensive compared to others Pakistani restaurant. Huge Indoor & outdoor sitting area. Poor thing is that you need to wait a lot for your food.
Good choice of pakistani food. But it was bland in taste. A little disappointed. Overall very popular place for expats from India and Pakistan to flock to this place . The food is affordable and freshly prepared I guess. Also it's open till late in the night. Lots of taxi drivers stop by to have a quick bite or to just have a karak chat especially in the the current cool weather.
For the authentic dhaba experience, this is the place to try. Eating in facilities are sparse so would recommend takeaway. We pre ordered on the phone and the food was ready for pick up at the indicated time - the gentleman manning the phone / counter was extremely courteous and made several excellent suggestions. We tried the Chicken Peshawari, Daal Karahi and Maghaz Masala - great food. We took out oil from the top before heating the food at home - would recommend you do the same since it’s a bit on the excessive side.
We will definitely be eating here again - next order: Dum Biryani and Rabrri.

Holy good Lord. Amazing food, would recommend 10/10. The Mutton Kadai was so soft and the dessert (rubbdi) just topped it off. The owner is a super friendly big guy who is genuinely nice and caring to the people who come into his restaurant .

If you want to taste real chicken/mutton karahi in dubai, this is the place to go. I was introduced to this place by a friend a year ago, now this is my place for karahi and Dal chana. Its located in Al quoz near al khail mall.
Very happy to find out that there is a branch of Shehar e Karachi Restaurant in Al Quoz, Dubai. Got to get a taste of the same awesome Peshawari Mutton as the karahi in the other branch in Deira.
Also had the Chicken tikka and Seekh kababs.

I was looking for great peshawari mutton and on recommendation went to Shehar-e-karachi. Ordered mutton peshawari, chana dal and roti and must say one of the best we ever had. And fresh Rabri and kulfi for dessert was amazing wrap up. Been there 3 times already...strongly recommended.

Ended up eating here cause my group loved this place. I was sceptic of their claims of thsi being best karahi in Dubai and one ended up claiming better mutton karahi than Karachi as well! So we went there, got out tables set up and ordered mutton karahi. This one was one specially black pepper and chilli karahi. I dont like eating mutton, I cant deal with taking out meat from bones, so mutton karahi has never been a favorite but I would try everything thats acceptable food to me. But WHAT KARAHI! To be honest, I am pretty much drooling thinking about it. And the naan were hot and perfect too!

The best mutton kadai in Dubai. The spices are so rich that you would not order any other dish. The taste will be savoured each time you dip the hot naan into the spicy creamy curry. We also had the mutton pulav and the lassi. It was okay. For dessert we had rabadi and it was fantastic.very cost effective restaurent and very good customer service.

Without a doubt the best Mutton Karahi in all of UAE. Moreover their Daal Karahi (dal chana) is even better, just taste them with their butter naan. Awesome food, dum biryani is also amazing. Whenever you want to go, just call the owner Zubair Bhai and he will himself prepare the food.
P.S. they make the food in olive oil, so its not as unhealthy as it may look!

Nd the big roti also.. best gravy.. stuff also very good.. we don’t know they don’t accept card.. when we said we don’t have cash .. the cashier told .. no need to pay outside very hot, where you ll find atm, when we ll come nxt time then pay... my god we totally socked..anyway we withdrew money and paid.. we ll again visit soon. 😊

I have been there so many times for Karahi and their Karahi is best in Dubai. One of the most important thing about this restaurant is that it is opened 24 hours, me and one of my friend ate mutton paya at 4am at night once and it was awesome too

We went to this location mainly for Karhai and ordered mutton as well as chicken. I called @ Zubair 0506533176 to pre order and was amazed to see that our table was set with all condiments and freshly cut salad. The food was awesome (personally I like mutton better than chicken) and the service was amazing. They made sure that we are well taken care off. You definitely should save some room for rabri at the end :)

Grab a few mates, head over to the Al Qouz Branch. But before you do, call ahead and order a fresh button Karachi Karahi made fresh to order with their spicy Hola kebabs for starters. Don't forget to order a chilled Pakola, you will thank me that you did later.
The meat is always fresh and the owner is around himself to look after the preparation. Ask for him and he will surely oblidge your request.
The fresh hot naan keep on coming. Don't let the indulgence go to waste by talking too much. Concentrate on the fresh spices and chillies in the Karachi.
For dessert I highly recommend their Rabri which you can wash down with one of best kadak chais in town.
this should be considered as a hidden gem to be honest lol they have one of the best chicken kadai ever, its actually served in a kadai and most of the time its prepared on special order and i believe the owner prepares it himself!! its spicy and full of flavors. its charged by kg so make sure to take a mate along. worth a try! however don't expect a lot from the decor and cleanliness, i went there 3 times and it was late night, sat outside cuz the inside was not clean at all.

If u need an authentic... desi....like back home...chicken karahi....this is the place...but u have to call the guy before going there so he knows that a special one is to be made...and believe me..its worth it....3.5 rating is based on the food item...the place, seating, environment is not at par with minimal requirements of ours..as the target customers are majorly labourers...anyway its very good.

Luckily work took me in that direction today and i was statving during lunch time. Checked zomato as i always do and decided to try this place. Took me a while to find a parking spot but my determination paid off and i found my spot. Restaurant was nothing fancy but i was too hungry to care.. i ordered daal karahi with a cold glass of sweet lassi and boy oh boy.. it was THE best daal i have had in a long time.. i enjoyed every single bite of it and now thinking of going back there to try their other items on menu.. i am sure i will not be disappointed!
This is the place for which I travel almost 23 km to have a lunch there upon recommendation of my freind and the travelling of those 23 km never in vain. The owner Mr Zubair was very much vigilant in services. The food was fresh and perfect . Their karahi was so special. Daal was also very tasty and according to the area ambiance is average.
Shehar e Karachi... it's one of the best Pakistani food restaurant in Dubai. I love their mutton Kadai, Mutton Pulao and pretty much everything. The owner of the Restaurant Zubair is an amazing guy he gives you special treatment every time and the best thing is once you get along with him you can ask him to make anything you want and he will get it done!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

The place has the best Kadai ever. However, please note that if you simply turn up and order the Kadai, you will get the regular fare. The key is to call up Zubair (050 653 3176) at least half an hour before you reach and ask him to prepare the special Kadai (Mutton/Chicken). You will be asked to order by weight.
You get there, relish the kadai and just as you think it doesn't get better, Zubair passionately explains his special recipe which includes Green Chillies, Pepper and Olive Oil (Yup, Olive Oil!!). The result is just brilliant. The ambience is like any affordable Pakistani joint, but the Kadai was simply on another level.
Shehar e Karachi is another pakistani restaurant in Dubai located in Al Quoz Area close to the Al Khail Road exit. I tried their chana dal and roti which was pretty fresh and hot. The dal spice was real good and roti was not so thick but its great combo. The staff is prompt at service and doesnt seem very family friendly. Their prices are super cheap and got wide options for vegetarians which gives typical feel of dhaba. I can recommend this place to try.
Good food & fast service at an affordable price. Mutton peshawari, mutton achari, mutton kadhai, mutton tikka, chicken barbecue items are the dishes to try out. Biryani is ok. You can get crispy hot roti the moment you ask for it.
Delicious and tasty chicken beryeni, it's the best dish you can ever have in this restaurant or elsewhere. The small default is that it's différent between the lunch and dinner, at night beryeni is much better. Their masala and beshawri are also good...still didn't try the other dishes...
I love the karahi they make. Just call them before you go. Smell of karahi will increase your cravings for it. First time i tasted the real taste of karahi.

Whosoever is writing bad reviews about this place does not know the taste and the meaning of North Indian/Pakistani food..Someone wrote "Parathas are too oily"..Please note that this is how it is supposed to be..It's same as saying - "There is too much sugar in ice cream"...I have no hesitation in saying that this place has the best Karahi in town..It was best when zubair was stationed at the original Meena baazar branch and the same taste travels to AL quoz since Zubair is there..Rock bottom prices for tasty food..Not a fine or even a regular dining place where u can go with family however the foodies will always relish a visit or takeaway..
