We often go there to have their samosas and aaloo bondas. Served with green chutney and imly chutney, when paired with a fresh milk tea make our evenings after office hours relaxed and flavorful. ❤

Bun Maska is oven fresh and must have dish in the morning. The Bombay Veg Cheese grill sandwich is filled with fresh vegetables and perfectly grilled and packed. Aloo paratha has generous amount of stuffing with mild spices, its first bite made this paratha my favorite.
Whatever i ordered was delicious. Also ordered bulk mumbai chicken biryani and my guests loved it.
It has been over an year since I am dining in for breakfast every day at Chai Wala.
Their food and service are the best compared to nearby restaurants. Big shoutout to Shohaib who runs at our car for orders just by a glimpse.

Goood tea! After ages i found a great place that actually has good decent tea. Tried the pakodas too. Staff is friendly and food is delivered in a flash. Ample parking spaces. Opposite the mosque. Alotta seating spaces but it was still packed. Hidden gem!
Ordered a home delivery of the chicken Tikka biryani. The taste of the food was amazing.😍 Boneless prices of chicken. 1 portion of biryani was enough for 2 of us. It is served along with raita.
The food quality is very good, food arrived earlier than said, would have preferred some more masala in biriyani

Like other reviewers have said, their Kebab pav(beef) is out of this world. Just the thought of it makes my mouth water. I also ordered their chilly cheese toast which was great. They need to reduce their minimum order amount which will help them get more orders. I feel that by doing so they can quadruple their business if they bring their minimum order to 10-15 AED instead of the current 30.
Can eat here breakfast, lunch , snacks and dinner. All the food served here are delicious 😋👌
I visited chai wala cafe with my mom and dad and we ordered kadi pakoda, rumali roti, aloo paratha, idli, upma and chai and it was worth it.
My Mumma papa loved the food and environment so do I.

First of all don't be misguided by its name. Its no cafe by any means. Ironically even their chai is not great as it smells of the giant flask they store it in.
Iam changing my review from 4 to a 5, simply because from the last 1 year they have been super consistent with their biryanis, fried rice and hakka noodles. They serve the best Indo Chinese I have tasted in Dubai. Even their Friday Biryani is awesome. Only wish they serve chicken dishes in bigger containers.

Love the bun kabab, samosas and biryanis, i had hariyali mutton biryani which was amazing. On spicy side for my palate but the cooks know how to cook.
Crowded place with the seating arrangements can be tricky plus lots of dudes hanging around chatting loudly the taste is good not your run of the mill so a worthy try
This is a small Cafeteria but nicely managed with good staff.
Paneer Bhaji grill was excellent as Paneer is my favourite.
Ginger Chai is something different flavor and also good for sore throat. Felt refreshing after drinking but also feel a bit of spiciness which was a nice experience.
Their rating in Zomato is also good which shows appreciation by customers. Keep it up.

So today being Easter we wanted to have Raan biryani it was cooked to perfection!! Kudos the team!

Sandwich lovers should not miss the sandwiches here. I am never fed up of those. The spice just matched my taste. The Horlicks was unbelievably matched with the sandwiches today. Thumbs up to the chef.
Being a proper “Mumbaikar” any place that provides a feeling of nostalgia is special...An evening with friends in Mumbai is usually filled with long chats and tons of masala chai...My friends took me to this place in Al Quoz, and told me that I would get a similar feeling when I try their various chai options and typical Mumbai street food bites...I was not disappointed at all and the quality of food, chai, and the ambience in general was extremely refreshing and bought back memories of Mumbai...Definitely recommend it for a chilled out chai break, Indian Chinese preparations, and the Samosas...
If you want to eat best samosa's in Al qouz you must visit Chai wala cafe but make sure you reach on time as they have huge demand.. Proper mumbai wala masaledar taste and good rates compared to karama n Bur dubai .. Chai samosa is good option to cure your hunger at 6 in the evening .. I tried chai wala's mutton biryani also and it was good .. If you love biryani with less masala n oil you can go with this biryani ... Simple n basic biryani but nice n tasty .. I don't know about their other menu options as I ordered only these three things ...
A great place for Biryani lovers. Had recently ordered 1 kg chicken biryani. The food was delivered on time and the quantity was good. The only feedback would be that chicken was too less in comparison to the rice. Nonetheless the overall rating is positive and we look forward to trying the other varieties of their Biryani
Amazing food !! We always order the mumbai grill sandwich and its the best .. jus takes you bk to mumbai .. another dish is Kheema pav its so yummy just ditto like the kheema we get in mumbai chilya hotel in khar mumbai.. the only sad thing is their delivery service .. i hope they improve

Just been to Chai Wala Cafe had amazing Bombay chicken biryani.. the taste took me right back to my roots! Not to forget the 'Khichda' which is actually Wednesdays special but i was fortunate enough to have it today!! And ofcourse cannot leave without having the 'Special authentic Mumbai Chai' .. I'd recommend this cafe to anyone who wants to have a slice of Mumbai on their plate!!

This place is my all time favorite. The sandwiches, biryani, snacks and chai are to die for. I look forward in the weekends to come to Dubai and try my all time favorite Bombay veg grill sandwich. I highly recommend desi people to try this place out. You will thank me later :) oh and the owner was super generous he send me complimentary bun kebab chicken omggg it was delicious and flavorful. It’s not the same old cafeteria style fried chicken it is totally different and worth it. :))
Tried the original chicken bombay biryani and it was DELICIOUS. Original, authentic taste of bombay biryani should be tried here. The manager was kind enough to give me a complimentary plate of biryani for the first time I came to the restaurant. They also do delivery so that is a plus point. 👍🏼

Dont forget to try the Raan Biryani the next time you visit Chai wala Cafe. Can be served for 6-8 people with biryani and raan with complimentary gravy. A must try dish if u have a good bunch of people to eat good food

This place has really good options in snacks from kabab pao to samosas. Kabab pao is a clear winner, you have to get to the place before 8 pm if you want to get your hands on this delicious delicacy. Vada pao is spicy and filling. Their chai is good too, not too sweet, JUST RIGHT! Staff is very friendly and it'll be the ideal chai spot for me as long as they keep them delicious kabab paos coming! :P

Ordered here, Tandoori Biryani. It not only looked richly delicious but tasted simply superb. I went for only one packet this time and by the time i finished it , felt should have ordered more .. lol.It was that nice. Perfect to taste and not oily at all - just the required quantity. Perfect in spicyness.

Great place for some good chai, egg burji, chana masala, bun maska and sandwiches. Nothing fancy but just great taste of freshly prepared food. You can choose to sit inside, outside or in the comfort of your and the guys will be kind enough to serve you there.

this tiny restaurant is a hidden Gem in al-quoz which started as a cafe initially and gradually expanded as a small restaurant. good things spread by mouth and so the case of chai wala. even i was dragged by good words for this restaurant by a friend and believe me, this place serves really tasty food.
specially their various type of Biryani's are really worth a try.
they serve the best Dal Gosht in Dubai.
has a decent ambiance with small sitting area inside.
Do not expect for a family time here.

Chai Wala - Primarily a place that serves Chai and anything that goes along with it snacks such as Pakoda , Samosa , and Bombay style sandwich (had ordered one Chilli cheese sandwich - worth a try )
Surprisingly this place serves one of the best Biryani I have had in Dubai, largely the good reviews are spread through word of mouth. The biryani again has a strong Bombay influence i have twice eaten the Malai Biryani - though I prefer everything that is spicy, this one can be an exception. The malai Biryani is apparently served only on Wednesday (afternoon) as I went again in the evening to collect take away for wife and was given Zabardast Biryani or something like that, that too was worth a try - Boneless pieces of chicken cooked in red chilli hence the red color. Had a chat with the owner - Munna bhai - said that they have a different biryani everyday of the week - I dont know how wise is that. If you are somewhere close to Al Quoz u can order it (half plate will suffice one person), I guess the delivery is not that streamlined yet.
The rating is for Malai Biryani - wednesday wala.
Edit - Have been there multiple times now, and have tried their Dal Gosht which is amazing as well, not very spicy just perfect. The quantity and quality at this price is unmatched. Have tried their Bombay Mutton Biryani as well and that is also just great. Few restaurants can match this consistency.

As the end of the night was nearing for me at Etisalat’s Beach Canteen, I walked by Project Chai Wala, which immediately grabbed my attention with the fragrance of their chai, along with their mini showcase of the chai being poured into the cup from mid air, I knew this was one chai stand that I had to visit.
Ordered chicken biryani and dal fry to give it a try by looking at the reviews. Food was super tasty specially dal fry and the delivery done was in 15 minutes. Food was hot by the time it was delivered. Great food and excellent service.
Excellent food especially the samosa and vada pavs which remind you of Mumbai. Zafrani chai is a must have. Definitely recommend this cafe which has maintained their service quality till date.
