I have been to this cafeteria so many times because my clients used to base in JLT near JLT metro station and it was mandatory for me to visit this cafeteria to have a Falafel Sandwich in lunch.
It’s the best sandwich in town at a very price with a delicious taste.
Sorry, I didn’t take any of your food pics but I’ll visit soon and will take the pic to update here.
This is the best restaurant for delicious Fried rice in dubai ihave eatned in dubai And best and free delivery Services
It's best shawarma I ate from dubai
I suggest Akawi is the best Restaurant in JLT for best tasty food for Less cost. If u try Akawi food After u will become a daily customer of akawi
The tasty restaurant that in JLT.
Less cost and good quality
I was looking for a nearby place to deliver fresh juices for the morning and came across Akawi Oven. I ordered pine apple juice and By Five juice which consists of 5 fruits (pineapple, strawberry, mango, kiwi and apple) Both juices were amazing, actually it was not like juice more of a smoothie made from pure fruit. Delivery was not that quick as I expected for JLT-Marina distance.
i was invited here for dinner and had a pleasant experience ,The place is small but nice ,very cheap price and good food ,i enjoy my food specially supreme pizza
i will recommented this place .
This a nice tiny place with real good food. Spotted this place to try their chicken shawarma. The shawarma was larger in size compared to shawarmas bought from elsewhere. It was delicious too.
Right down my office.
Ordered a couple of times from here.
The Falafel Sandwich is for 10 dirhams. Pretty huge and comes with fries. Tastes good.
The Chicken Shawarma is also delicious. Super huge again.
I also tried the mutton biryani it is for 16 dirhams and is really amazing. Generous amount of mutton as well.
Super quick delivery.
Seating is average. Prefer a delivery.
Cheese and Zaatar Manakeesh and Hot Crispy French Fries couldn't be less tempting, with sufficient portion and prompt delivery, recommend try it too. Check out for the photos posted by me.
Best place for budgeted foodie , u can get all type of Arabic flavors including shawarma , burger , juices , falafel , beef and chicken sandwich rolled with kuboos all in one place at a reasonable price I😋
Dishes ordered :
Starters: mini pizza
Main course: saj sandwich chicken
Advantages: good for traditional and authentic options
Disadvantages: desserts options are rare
Ambience: better
Arrangements: comfortable
Pricing: worth
Quality/ taste: better
Quantity/ presentation: okeysh simple thou
Speciality: Arabic food starters
Over all rating: silver medal
Food: It's okay. nothing really bew coming from a usual cafeteria
Place: it's near Pullman Hotel. Can be spotted easily. Inside is okay, too. But would rather order for take away.
Price: Super reasonable
It's a small cafeteria . Nearby to my workplace . They have lot of options for quick bites. Tried club sandwich and chicken&mushroom sandwich . It was good . They have some good milkshakes and my favorite is strawberry shake, quite filling and refreshing too. Pricing is very reasonable.

I think it is the best cafeteria with such kind of food I've ever tried. Fresh juice portions are huge and if you ask them to prepare it without added water, ice and sugar, they will certainly do it. I also ordered kebab porotha which was amazing - great alternative for traditional flat bread roll.
The only dissapointing thing was that outdoor seating area is very noisy and smelly due to proximity of kitchen exhaust, while indours one doesn't have propeely working A/c. So my advice is to consider home delivery or takeaway.
I chanced upon this place last night. Its a small place with hardly enough seating... mostly like that place which thrives on delivery. But the food for the price was reasonable. Opening from 8 am to midnight... this place is a quick fix with enough taste. Compared to overpriced places in JLT, Its a handy alternative to have a filling satisfying meal. Will definitely eat again but perhaps on delivery.
Food I tried: Falafel
I donno what's happened to my fav place for Hummus and Shawarmas. I guess they are under a new management and are trying to learn the ropes but it's just not working. The menu looks like a cafeteria now. I ordered for a Shawarma Combo meal as usual. The chicken was dry with little sauces. The beef combo was dripping with oil and tasted like beef chilly fry stuffed into a shawarma.
And the Coke was not cold at all. All in all disappointing......
Update- bumped up the rating from 2 to 4 cos I tried the hummus and meat and it was fabulous.
This is a typical cafeteria meant for a quick bite. People come mostly to grab a bite and a juice. Usually takeaways are their source of income. I am purely rating this place based on the food and not on the ambiance. I tried the chicken sheesh tawook wrap which was pretty decent in taste. The price was quite okay since it is in JLT. The place is like some small alley with 3 to 4 indoor tables of 2 each. The outdoor seating is amazing because of the view of the lake. It was a nice meal but I would call for a delivery hence forth. The juices and shakes looked tempting but couldn't try them.
Best place for a quick bite! Very close to my work place. The meat and cheese manakish worked for me. Aptly priced and good portion size for an individual meal.

Their falafel pizza is to die for!! Simple yet fun food. Just something to have on the go or when you feel like having something light. Its a very small cramped up place so takeaway is recommended. Don't let the interiors turn you off, the food will do the talking. A definite must try. Except don't even bother trying their hummous, it's really blah.

@AyaashPaw
Could give them a perfect score on account of no tissue papers aling with the food, but good food. The spicy chicken saj sandwich is truly a major contender to being an awesome sandwich. The steak saj sandwich was good too but pales in comparison to the spicy chicken. This restaurant will get my order again... I hope they maintain the quality set today and not be a one time magic event
A perfect quick eat & get going place in JLT. The food is fresh time & over again. The service is quick. A value meal when u in rush & liking for a snack. You can never go wrong with Lebanese food.
The perfect place in JLT for my hummus cravings! They make fresh bread too.. Which just makes it even better.. We once tried the shawarma platter here... The chicken wasn't juicy and lacked flavour...It wasn't even close to their hummus..
Simply amazing , the staff is friendly
Foods too good.
Spicy falafel ftw
One of the fastest delivery in jlt
I would recommend it for quick bites
Overall decent food for a quick bite, however no "wow factor" the manakish are good and the shawermas are good, very fast delivery. Would recommend for delivery
This place just opened again after renovation. Its a really small place and very easy to miss specially since the new board doesn't look like one of a restaurant.
But once you do find the place , you will be pleased.
Its a row of bar type stools and tables , there isn't much of sitting place , but you end up getting a place no matter at what time you go.
I wanted to try this place out for sometime now because that is the closest and the most reasonable option for lebanese food in JLT and i was not disappointed.
The place it tidy with most of it occupied by the kitchen so there isnt any kind of ambiance.
Coming on to the food , i ordered the pizza fatayer which was delicious , hot tasty and just perfect . I also ordered a spicy falafel which for 10 aed is a catch because the quantity they serve is almost double of what other restaurants do. Falafel was tangy , perfectly seasoned and well presented.
Overall is what i call Sasti Masti and i will visit here again .
Great eating joint.
Fastest food delivery!
Very generous portions & yummy Arabic food..
Loved the various types of Manakish's served here..
For a simple lunch, would recommend a Falafel sandwich or any of the Salads..
I work in the same building as Akawi Oven, my colleagues always talk about this place so I tried it out. I had the Falafel sandwich spicy. It was tasty and worth the price.
i think of akawi oven as the benchmark of arabic food and the new age of lebanese cuisine. Akawi oven is reasonably priced and has the best tasting food in the uae
I work in JLT, right next to the building where akawi is. So, this is an easy place to have a quick bite for lunch and resume work. It is a small restaurant with 5 tables and they serve outside too, when the weather is bearable. Akawi Owen is a simple, no non-sense food joint and hence don't expect restaurant-like ambience here. However, the place is neat, tidy and the service is good.
I have my lunch almost everyday here and to do this, the food has to be good. Akawi Owen serves nice Lebanese cuisine with numerous choices at a reasonable price. The falafel sandwich is simple and comes with two options - normal and spicy. There are several dishes which are served on an open bread with different spreads ranging from zaater, muhamara, Laban to cheese, meat, egg etc. You can also mix up these options and try something new. You can try the pizza - either veg or chicken, this dish is not in the menu. The pizza is big for one and best when shared between two. Once ordered falafel plate, it had 10 pcs of falafels but I found that the oil wasn't of good quality and left me with a stomach upset. Perhaps, it could be a rare case and this is just FYI. Then, there are chicken and steak manakish which taste really good. The hummus and beans with olives oil is worth a try. This restaurant keeps me going every afternoon. It gets a little boring after two weeks but that's just because of my craving instinct for South Indian food. Overall, a nice place for lunch or a quick snack if you have your office nearby.
I've been ordering from Akawi oven since they opened in JLT many years back. Their Ajeenet Falafel is out of this world and Lahm B'Ajeen is awesome. Their delivery person is always smiling and very polite. I went 2-3 times to eat there but the place is tiny and not really a hang out. It is more a delivery place.
Love it and highly recommend it.
Great Lebanese Manakish, I always order from it, perfect taste..
