For 25 AED, 2 people will have unlimited Panipuri. We finished 2 and 1/2 servings. We wished we could have had more but our stomachs were already pleading for mercy. Their Panipuri is not the the best in Dubai but for its price, it’s totally worth it.

Best chettinad restuarent with plenty of varieties, You can get a lot of variety tiffin cooked fresh and served hot, We use to order pal paniyaram, elaneer payasam, egg kulipaniyaram, Kari dosai is our favorite, Good for family and group of friends, Only issue is parking, it's very hard to get in this area, Limited seats available, Total score 4 🌟 for the taste and service.

Chettinad style chicken biryani is a very popular south Indian dish, this biryani is known for being made with seeraga (jeeraka) samba rice and is best accompanied with a traditional spicy mutton curry, topped with fried onions and curry leaves. Very tasty food from the traditional chettinad kitchen. My favourite was the right-spicy sambar and coconut chutney. Coconut chutney taste took me back to my childhood memories. Am a vegetarian so could not comment on nonveg varieties. But am sure you will experience the chettinad cuisine flavour from it as well.

We ordered crab omlette, mutton biriyani and one non veg chicken meals today. Non veg chicken meals is good but biriyani and omlette were not upto the mark how the taste used to be earlier. We called and requested omlette to be non spicy as the kid would be eating it but it was very spicy and biriyani rice was very dry and did not have the smell of biriyani instead it smelled like a normal rice only.

Had been to Chettinad with my friends few weeks back. Ordered Executive Meals (Veg and non-veg) along with Egg Curry. Were also served with the day's special - Bread Halwa which was mouth-watering. Best place for the non vegetarians and unlimited meals is always the treat.. Restaurant is small n ambience needs to be improved. Overall, good place with varieties in the menu and quality of food being served.

I ordered mini breakfast thali. It has idli, vada, masala dosa, chutney, sambar, sweet and coffee. Let's review each item - idli was fresh and soft. Vada was very good. Masala dosa again good. Red chutney was tangy and it had different flavor and it was very tasty. Sambar was also good, generally restaurants prepare watery sambhar but this is exception. Coffee could have been little more stronger but this purely depends on individual's choice. Overall great value for money and you will be satisfied.

We recently visited chettinad house for dinner (our last visit was in 2017). Were planning to order 2 chicken biriyanis,but the aroma from kitchen tempted to order something else..In 2017 we had their lunch thali with biriyani rice which was really good with that hangover, i asked the waiter what dish you prepared now, he replied pepper prawns.. so I asked whether they can prepare same type dish /masala with chicken..He said yes..So we order 1 chicken biriyani, pepper chicken and porotta(as I saw fluffy ones on another table) but for our disappointment everything went wrong....The quality of food have gone down....I hope they will bring back the quality and taste.. 3 stars is for their service..Thank you

I order from here from when im in the Jafiliya office. Due to lack of south indian eating options in the area, i ordered from Chettinad House. Minimum order is Aed15 but its quite difficult to close an order at the exact amount of 15 aed and hence i end up spending around aed 20 during breakfast times but like they say, never skip breakfast. The ghee roast, masala dosa are both quite good. I was also impressed with the red chutney they provide. Very tast. Delivery is also mostly on time and good. Overall good place to order from.

Waited over 90 mins for my food . No information from the restaurant , zomato chat guy kept saying ten minutes for an hour. Finally I told them to cancel the order cause I wanted to sleep so the delivery guy doesn't ring the doorbell but they coudnt even do that. I returned the food when it finally arrived . Their place is ten minutes away from mine and when I asked why was it so late there excuse was 'traffic'.

Thursday dinner is always a debate of where and what type of cuisine you eat ... given the dozens of restaurants that open up in Dubai. I found CHR on Zomato, with fairly good reviews. For me it was just ok - or maybe i ordered the wrong kind of food. Restaurant is easy to find, in the very crowded Karama area. Absolutely no parking spot. it is neat - just because of the heat and humidity, the restaurant had a weird smell when we entered. We ordered the mutton kheema which should have been fried more, the chapatis are good - thin but they do get crispy very fast. Also ordered the crab masala - the crabs were extremely fresh, the masala could have been better. The same can be about the appam. It was made in a hurry! Instead of a dessert, we opted for a filter coffee, which was a super coffee. Service is extremely good, with a ever pleasing Manager. Prices are reasonable definitely worth it. We have decided to go back again as they had some good items on the menu for breakfast and would like to try it out...

Had a non veg South Indian meals (online delivery). Got delivered on time. Good quantity (actually 2 people can eat 1 meals). Good taste - none of the dishes disappointed me. Kind of had a homely touch in terms of flavor than being masala intensive. Like another person who reviewed earlier, I too thought like I paid only half of the money for food. Definitely worth it and people expecting Tamil cusine will not be disappointed.

I ordered my breakfast at 9.15 in the morning . The expected time delivery was 45 minutes and I received my order at 11. The worst part was the restaurant guy calls me at 10 and says the delay is due to rain but it wasn't raining at all( it rained early morning but it wasn't raining when I ordered ) After some time I get a call from the delivery guy and he says he doesn't know the address though my address is very clear in the order . I gave him directions but still there was a delay. finally I receive the order after 2 hours with cold breakfast and tea . Very bad service by the restaurant . I understand if there was a delay due to rain but to be frank there was no reason at all for the delay ! Hope the management looks into this issue seriously .

Hidden gem in Karama! Yes, be it taste, quality, price or the finesses this small restaurant rocks!! I am addicted to this place now. Trust me, this one beats even the big ones :) Only downside the place is little on the interior side of Karama. Best part - walkable distance from Lulu Hypermarket, Karama A must visit for south Indian food lovers....

Ordered my favourite south Indian dish Rawa masala dosa. I was in search of authentic south Indian taste. This restaurant did not disappoint me. It was nice and crisp . Sambhar served alongside was also good . I did not like the chutneys. The taste was not good. Coconut chutney was too watery. Parking too is a problem here.

Reasonably nice meal. Was a bit annoyed to find out that the whole all time favourites menu was breakfast only... Why would u have a 'breakfast only' besides specific items then? Anyway after the devastation of not being able to get a ghee roast dosa passed, we ordered some meals and stuff... All up food was pretty good, fish was fresh, curry leaf chicken while mild in flavour was fried so well and with a squeeze of lime was just delicious. And some excellent curries came with the meals, special mention to the fish curry, lamb curry and veg korma in the lunch meals. Chapathis were also amongst the best I've had in Dubai.

The texture and taste was really good but the sambhar was a let down The chutneys were also really good especially the green one but the disappointment was the sambhar .. It was absolutely tasteless and felt that the dal in it was not cooked properly so that taste was in it , salt was also less and so was spice

Of late I couldn't really find time to write reviews despite the fact that been trying different places without fail. Many bad spots and few good spots been in the past few months, I thought I must take time out to introduce a wonderful restaurant in karama and hence this review. Forget all big brands of south Indian restaurant giants, they are not even close to the quality, service, attentiveness of this medium sized chetinad house restaurant provides. On hearing from a tamilian friend, been going there regularly and I have become addicted to their food. Tried many times their breakfast and lunch meal, amazing taste and I feel I am paying only half price for the quantity, variety, quality and service they provide. Taste anything it's amazing and very very homely, less oily too. Their chutneys are too good. Their lunch chapati, sambar, sabji, palak curry, or whatever they provide is too good and they refill without any issue. I am not a sweet person but their bread halwa will make u nostalgic and u won't stop another helping. Their welcome drink is too good to resist. I was trying to check if I am only getting this feeling, but even my friends too started becoming their regulars now and enjoying their services. They have maintained very neat and clean very high on hygiene point of view, I wish this place is on the other side of karama with a good exposure, this place will surely be a big hit. Not to forget the staff, Mr. Satish is one of the best hospitality person I have ever come across and the love and affection being shown by him makes us to go again and again. Well done Mr. Satish, God bless u man! Rest of the staff also welcoming, well mannered, good job done. Best for any time of the day, this place reminds my bombay days of matunga ramanayakas. Must visit place if u love south Indian cuisine.

Extremely disappointed in this place. We asked for meals. They informed it is under preparation. We ordered some starters and waited patiently. The serving person did a name sake cleaning of table and whatever left over food of previous guest he just pushed it down to the floor using a tissue!. The starters came but no spoon or fork. We requested for a fork he gave one fork for a family!. We asked for glasses for drinking water he paid a deaf ear to it. Finally the meals came. As shown on menu no chapatti was served. He says dough of chapatti got over. We waited patiently till he servers rice. Not even a tissue paper or napkins were available nor provided upon request. None of the people came to ask if any second serving or anything further required in thali. We asked for an extra pappad. Oh man the reply was pappad also got over. Patience tested to core, cleanliness nil, Service poor, food below average. Never going to visit.

i ordered mutton briyani and veg meals.v expected more.but t taste is very very poor..need to improve more.....very very very disappoinment....

Was introduced to Chettinad House couple of years back by a friend from Chennai for who these dishes were a staple back home. The dishes that she ordered for our table were too good. Being a veggie, i visited Chettinad house with less expectations. Though they have limited options for vegetarian, they do justice for the taste, quality and price. We had ordered Idly and Chilly parotta first. Idly was so soft, tasty like home made with 2 chutneys. Spicy chutney was delicious accompaniment with the hot & soft idly. Chilly parota was typical south indian sytle with right amount of spices and ingredients. Onion Pakoda was tasty too. In Desserts, we tried Gulab Jamoon and Ilaneer Payasam. Ilaneer payasam was one of the best ones i have had ever. Masala milk reminded the home made milk we used to get during rainy and winter days. Small Outlet. Friendly staff. Value for money.

Small restaurant in karama with an excellent interior and a great ambience.a friend of mine suggested to get there for an authentic chettinad taste and yes it is... Kuli paniyaram Vazhkai bajji Sweet suviyam Pal paniyaram Ilaneer payasam Never had such a good taste of authentic dishes..it was like having the home made way.when enquired they said the cook was from karaikudi and thats why the taste waz so good.the real credit must go to the cook.. My friends tried a lots of non veg dishes and gave an excellent feedback.

Good Taste. We started ordering frequently. Tried Non veg meals and fish chilli. Excellent. Order takes sometime on weekends but its peak time and its understandable. Overall its a good place to order.

Having developed a pallet for Chettinaud cuisine since childhood, It is instinctive choice to land here expecting to eat some delicious tam food. The service to begin with is slooow and if you are in hurry to have the food served at your table in a jiffy, this is certainly not the the place for you. Some of the dishes have excess amount of oil. Dosa would be a better choice than ceylon parota of which the later is loaded with oil. Try the non fried stuff off the menu to be on the safer side. I am lowering the score for slow service and excess oil. Ambiance is decent and food tastes good. My Oil Rating 3.5/5

Small but excellent outlet when you look the taste of food went to have kothu Porotta and rava dosa Tried out naatu kozhi soup (village hen soup) and Paniyarum it's good and excellent chutney For main food we ordered rava dosa ,egg dosa and chicken kothu Porotta food are excellent in taste with Madurai chicken pieces delicious

I juts received my mini tiffin. But my instructions was totally not followed at all. Clearly stated that, please offer extra idiyappam instead of sweet (if possible. Because of diabetes. If they cant, they would have to inform, the matter of call. Always the quality is good, but the method of operation need a bit improvement.

This was the taste I was looking for & I got it! Each & every dish was absolutely perfect & was remembering those days which I used to enjoy when I eat at Theni, Madurai and other nearby Southern Tamil Nadu places - where my birth place (Theni) is located. If I start describing each & every dish in detail, then it will run into pages... I would just highlight the dishes - Special Karama Chicken & Mutton Chukka - mouth watering even if I think of it! I wish all the best to Chettinad House Restaurant Management for their success & expecting more branches to come in other Emirates too. I'm absolutely thankful for the taste you offered & the polite service you rendered to me & my family.

Very nice and tasty food. Problem is the parking and the constricted space. But food is very good, authentic Chettinad food. Their deserts are awesome. Must try. Do you have anything special for Pongal tomorrow?
