I visited the restaurant and there was too much rush and waiters are trying hard to serve the peoples and there was a delay in delivery but keeping all these things aside. Food was superb and we decided this will be one of the best restaurants we can have traditional food in Dubai. My only suggestion is to increase the manpower. All the very best Pathemari.

This is closed down. One of the best chicken pothi biryanis in Dubai was served here. Unfortunately they have shut the place. Hope to see this place open.
Went for lunch meal and ordered veg and non veg meal. The welcome drink was very refreshing. They serve meal on banana leaves with a variety of options. Food was good and portion is good enough. I loved their masala mirchi which was very spicy and the Paayasam was very delicious.
The Manager and Staff is very courteous and friendly.
We happened to visit this restaurant on one weekend. Being a non-vegetarian we always love to explore new style of preparation and we do love Malbari preparation of fish/ chicken.We were quite impress with friendly staff. Since this is inside the mall , its good for people who go to restaurant with kids as they do have few engaging activities for kids outside the restaurant. They do serve few siding with main dishes and those siding are amazing . For us they served welcome juice, salad, papad and fresh ripe mango pickle which was very tasty.We simply love it.In main course we ordered fish curry, ghee rice and one starter. Everything was superb. We enjoyed the food. Quantity is good.If you are a fish lover then you must visit this place.

Excellent food. Their chicken pothi biryani is a must try. Meals too are good. Nice ambience and perfect for family. Have also tried their egg curry and chicken achayan curry which were equally good. Tried their Dragon chicken which was a bit saucy and allepey veg curry which was good

First of all they provide complimentary valet parking which is very convenient for us in that area. We tried their meals, banana leaf biriyani's, Chena varutharachathu, etc. we love the food and the Restuarant is not over crowded. Customer service: 4/5.
My daughter’s first birthday function was held in pathrmari.. it went well.. the reason for choosing this restaurant was because of the parking facilities, the party hall(which is missing in most of the restaurants)and the play area for the kids which is a great boon for the parents..

The ambience is really nice and so is the service. The staff were baby friendly. The menu is impressive however the food is average.
I particularly liked the chena ullarthiyathu. Since I am a vegetarian I got a near feel of how ullarthiya dishes would taste. Their feedback board is an idea that is to be appreciated.
Recently we had their vegetarian meals and fish fry meals.
Vegetarian meals-
For the first time I found extra special curries that replaced the non veg counterparts! Generally in other places they give you the same meal minus the non veg dishes. Their dal was simply superb. Simple, thick and delicious! I could have the meal with just dal, some ghee or curd and papad! The side dishes are numerous! Every one of them were nice. Their olan was spicy! Yes you read me right! Spicy with lots of crushed pepper in it. Payasam was ok ok.
Fish meals-
Fish fry was filling and tasty. Fish curry was fine too.
Welcome drink- refreshing.
Thaen mitthai and salted Amla were a pleasant nostalgic surprise. We bought thaen mitthai and when I dropped one of them accidentally, they were kind enough to give me one more with no change in price 😊 Thank you!

It was my second visit to Pathemari and I absolutely loved it! Starting strong with the green apple welcome drink and mango salad, we went on to order our tested favorites.
Food:
1. Kuttanadan chatti fish curry: (Pieces of fish in a traditional coconut milk and tamarind based gravy) The curry was perfectly seasoned and the pomfret was well done.
2. Pathemari special chicken: (Pepper based dry chicken with little pieces of coconut) It was tasty but definitely could've done with a little more dry gravy.
3. Orotti: (Rice and coconut based bread) It was nice but not my favourite.
4. Kerala porota: The porota was soft and fresh (I'm pretty sure as my palate has been the unfortunate victim to many a stale porota!)
5. Appam: Decently done.
The chatti fish curry was so massive so we had absolutely no space for dessert!😬
Ambience: Spacious, nostalgic Malayalam beats and really friendly staff!! Oh, let's not forget the valet parking that just descends as a boon in karama!
Service: Servers were really nice. All our food choices were based on our server's recommendation from our last visit. We were fortunate enough to have him at our table again this time!

Pathemari (Means Dhow in English) is one of the many Kerala restaurants serving delicious dishes in Al Karama. The food is fresh and good. The restaurant offers a variety of traditional Kerala menus. We tried "nadan" Dosa, Beef and a traditional Kerala meals and Jackfruit juice for Dessert.
The food was well prepared and feels fresh. The presentation could be improved though. Apart from that, the taste is really a nostalgic one.
The Ambience is spacious, good and it reminds you of a restaurant back in Kerala.
The service is excellent, the staff is pleasant and really helps you out in choosing the appropriate dish.
This restaurant certainly needs to be tried if you are out to try south Indian- Kerala dishes.

Food and place is very hygienic and tasty. Kallappam and crab we ordered just taken me to heaven. Mutton curry was normal. Service was high, the guys are always watching our table for our need (reducing privacy). Will try to come here again. Main attraction is parking is free here 😋.

Had the Non Veg Meals today from Pathemari. I must say that the food was tasty and the choice of accompaniments were good. But the overall feeling wasn't great as it was way too hot. The AC wasnt Workin I guess and even the pricing needs to be revisited. Felt it was over priced a notch Above the expected level. To sum it up, the Chef is doing justice to his job but the manager needs to pull up his socks.

Just had "Elabiriyani" from Pathemari...the blend of spices and Jeerakasala rice with tender chicken masala had the authentic fragrance of banana leaf. Really nostalgic took to my olden...golden..school days 'pothi biriyani with boiled egg. Same taste same fragrance as I couldn't experience any where else since my school time. Thanks Pathemari for the hospitality, ambience and the re captivating the memoirs.

This is an amazing place. Been here couple of times. Biryani is specially very good. Would also recommend the adivasi kebab. Staff is quite friendly as well!

Tried their fish meals last week which was good and side dishes were good as well. Typical malabari restaurant food. Tried chicken biriyani this afternoon and was ok. Not so tasty level. Located close to Ansar gallery. Service was perfect and prompt. It's a kind of themed restaurant. People who take orders were dressed like ship captain 👩✈️. Spacious and clean. Try it for yourself.

After a long tiring day had been here to have appam and stew. I literally couldn't stop. Was really hungry and they kept bringing in hot appam on request.
They had offered us a sweet and spicy welcome drink, which I didn't like at all. The biryani that we ordered came wrapped in a banana leaf, must say I was impressed at the sight of it. The taste though was only decent (maybe I'm a more North Indian biryani kind of a person)

Feel good resturant. Awesome family ambiance and dishes were served quick. Make you sailing at sea feel with people dressing as sailors and captains. Manager Mr. Praveen was friendly and staffs too. The sea food soup was out of world. The dishes which came back to back were tasty and to end with jackfruit juice which was highly unpredictable and well prepared. The feel full and feel good feeling which coming out of resturant after food is rare.

A bit in a remote hidden location is this restaurant in Karama. Tried lunch here today and found it to be just another normal Kerala restaurant. Spacious, clean and with good choice of a la carte menu , a place for veg and nonveg lovers.
Next visit to this restaurant gave an opportunity to taste excellent fish fry (Kunjan Mathi Pepper), fish curry (Kumarakom fish curry) and beef fry that can compete with any other similar restaurant in Bur Dubai. Complimentary semi-ripe mango pieces mixed with chilli powder and salt was a treat to the taste buds. Service 4+ Food 4 Ambience 3.

So we decided to try this new restaurant for dinner on the Karama stretch and it was a pleasant experience. Pathemari is a multi cuisine restaurant situated in the Ansar gallery building. It is where the erstwhile Kerala Kitchen was which has been taken over by a new management. Open 24/7 and has round the clock valet parking too. If you love Kerala cuisine, you would enjoy this place. In the mood for a light dinner, we ordered Appam, Chapathi with Chicken Stew and liked it. Food was fresh and tasty, good quantity and the staff were friendly and pleasant. Complimentary juice, mango salad with pickle spices and green salad were served at the start and fruit slices were given at the end of the meal. We had tea too but it could have been better. There are small kiddie rides in front of the restaurant which are good. The model of the Pathemari (dhow type of boat with sails) at the entrance provides ample photo/selfie opportunity. Overall we had a good time and will be visiting soon to try their other special dishes!

We got the menu of this restaurant from one of their staff who was distributing them outside an event. The menu looked nice and I and my hubby decided to visit the place for dinner that same night. It was a weekday so the place wasnt that crowded. However the interiors were pleasant and the found the venue welcoming. The staff greeted us and we found them smiling and polite.
Since most of the items on the menu were south indian and we not very sure of our order, the staff helped us with our order. We ordered a fish masala and a chicken curry with the parathas. We opted for a pompfret for the fish. The food came fast and smelled great. We immediately pounced to satisfy our hunger buds and were satisfied with our food. The staff also served us welcome drinks and also their special pickle. After the food we were also served fruits as a compliment.
We really enjoyed our experience at the restaurant and were happy that we decided to give the place a try. We appreciated the attention given to us by the polite and friendly staff.
This is one decent option available in karama dubai, that opens 24 hrs serving indian delicacy... we tried the famous fish chatty curry, mutton pepper curry, chicken pothi biriyani, seafood soup, kuni pathri, mutton pepper fry, chicken pothi all tasted good with decent pricing and the staffs are very friendly and nice atmosphere and the best is there free vallet parking with so hassle free and magic show kids and family so overall it was Fousia Mohamed Dabeelgreat experience....

Well for starters, I must say that when some random person in the middle of the road hands out a pamphlet of a service or menu of a restaurant, we would normally either ignore it or take it out of courtesy. This time, as we were also looking out for something new, we decided to instantly check the place out.
Pathemari was the chosen one for dining out. And we were pretty impressed with their services overall. A pretty new restaurant around the karama block, if you love typical South Indian food then this is the place.
We ordered fish and chicken dishes with traditional kerala parathas and fresh juices. Also had a welcome drink and some fruits at the end - complimentary. The staff was cordial and efficient and ambiance gives you a good feel. Overall, a nice place for South delicacies!
Came here to have sadhya the food was yummy and the staff was very friendly and interactive had a crazy time and the venue was well managed we where about 80 of us and we have a blast. The food was well cook except the payasam was extra sweet
Visited pathemari 2 days before. Customer service part is really amazing. Tried kuttanadan chatti kari and appam. Quantity and quality of the curry was really superb. The most importnat thing i want to add here is the quality of the serving plates and bowls , they are maintaining very clean ..The last but not the least they served on fusstion drink that was really a variety one ..Thanks pathemari for the good customer service...They way you are treating the guest is really awesome.

One off the budget Malabar style restaurant .. have bit issue to find the place but the ambiance is covering that food and service keeps above average standers. i like the fresh fish aria .. some where have to improve even over all its above average

'Pathemari' restaurant is situated behind Ansar Gallery Mall in Burjuman - Dubai. Our favorite malayalam actor Mammooka inaugrated this restaurant soon after the release of his movie Pathemari. Pathemari restaurant food is of great taste for what you pay for. They serve you with sweet n sour cut mangoes as a starter which is so yummy. I use to take 2 plates because it is just so irresistable. Their kanji and combo and appam chicken curry are too good as well. Always ask for their special dessert of the day to try some variety :) Outside the restaurant they have put up a stage where you can dance or sing or host a small show while you dine in. Most of the time we celebrate our friends birthday here. You can also get inside the Pathemari construction model which is kept outside the restaurant and take some cool clicks. A very nice theme based restaurant. Always this is in my list of favorites. Go for it :)

I used to really like this place because it had a good atmosphere, amazing customer service and great food.
Location is pretty good. Ample parking space and a lot of choices .I would however, think that there are better restaurant with better quality of service nearby.

Nice place to have good malabari food. Its a bit costly though. Service is good. Staffs are friendly and patient. You have free underground parking as well. Don't forget to collect your parking voucher from the hotel before you leave.
