Went there last night. Probably the best and most authentic Chinese food we’ve found since moving to Dubai. We started with fried beef pancake. As soon as I took a bite, I knew the chef was good!
Next we had a mix of main courses. The Bok Choi was perfectly cooked and in a very light and thin sauce (which is how it should be). The dry fried string beans were amazing, beautiful mix of flavours and again perfectly cooked. They are cooked with amongst other things Szechuan peppers which have a fascinating flavour. The sweet and sour chicken was also lovely. The wok fried lamb was again a lovely mix of flavours. I was worried when ordering that it might have been fatty but no it wasn’t. We also had won ton (chicken) noodle soup and I’m going to use the flavour word again. This food was SO enjoyable.
It’s also worth pointing out - so often after eating a large Chinese meal, one wakes up the next morning with a dry mouth from the excess oil and MSG used in the cooking. In this case I woke up feeling refreshed and a clear mouth. The chef is clearly getting the flavour from food ingredients and not just throwing in lots of salt and MSG. We will definitely be going back there again several times to work our way further through the extensive menu and to try the Dim Dum.
One thing to note. When we walked in we weren’t greeted. I’m not sure if that reflects a lack of attention to service or whether the staff’s attention was being taken up by the big party of Chinese tourists. But when we were seated and served, the service was pleasant.
This does not have the ambience of a high-end expensive restaurant but you should come here for the food. I highly recommend it.
Great place for traditional Chinese food! A must go if you love freshly hand made Dim Sum and wok fried specialties!
i order delivery, on time ,food was great , hot and tasty , i would definetly order again hopefully same experience
There are better restaurants serving similar food, there is lot of room for improvement. For ex: the chilli in kung pao chicken usually is crispy and more flavorful in other places. Few details like these will make huge difference.
Tables are too wide.
Very good Chinese restaurant. Price are okay.
I recommend.
Went for dinner and we find a chinese restaurant
Its a beautiful restaurant.
We order food . That guy i nevar forget him he soo nice and with a great smile .😁 he suggests us few dishes its amezing @shankar @tang palace keep it buddy
I wanted something familiar yet unique, so never having tried this restaurant, I gave it a shot. I ordered some plain rice (which was cooked properly), lamb potstickers with soy sauce, and roasted crispy duck. All in all the flavors were fantastic and delivery was early but I do have two critiques:
The The potstickers fell apart way too easily. I had to pick them up by hand instead of chopsticks or a fork. If you cook the pasta SLIGHTLY less (maybe 2 minutes less) this would have made them perfect. Admittidly delicious though.
The portion of duck I recieved was at least half bones. Though the meat was fantastic. The sauce was great as well (Hoisin)
There was a third spicy sauce which I thoroughly didnt like. I generally like spicy things, it was just not a good flavor.
I was very excited to order from here bc DXB needs a good Chinese/dim sum place. I would order again for 3 items: Tang's roasted duck and steamed prawn balls. The duck could be more tender and skin crispier but the flavors were excellent. The steamed prawn balls were fresh and tasted of shrimp. The chicken feet tender and flavorful. The hot and sour soup was neither got or sour. Chicken shaomai was dry and not juicy/tender, as if been sitting around too long. Shrimp hakao was average - tasted of ready food and they steamed, not fresh made. Spring rolls we're good, crunchy and I could taste the chicken but became harder if you didn't eat immediately. I'd order the 3 items again and would interested to try other dishes.
Ordered delivery though Zomato, order came on time and was still hot. I ordered the Steamed Rice, Prawn Fried Wontons, Wok Fried Mushrooms and Bok Choi, Hanging Roast Chicken, Prawn Wonton Noodle Soup, and Vegetable Spring Rolls. The Veg Spring Rolls, 3 of them, were ok, filling was a little bland, but the roll was crispy on the outside. The Fried Wontons, 6 of them (not a dozen) were wrapped in the purse fold, dim sum style, and not folded in the traditional wrap, good taste, enough filling in them. The Wok Fried Mushrooms and Bok Choi were quite good, the bok choi was still crisp and the mushrooms had soaked up enough of the sauce to permeate them completely, good portion size here. The hanging roasted chicken was also quite good. Nice flavor on the skin and still moist on the inside. Good portion size. The prawn wonton soup, filled with wontons, and some noodles included, and the wood ear mushrooms were a nice touch. Overall good food, a little on the higher price end, but good value for money, I was able to make 3 meals out of this order. Will definitely try a few other things on the menu.
Ordered again and tried the roast duck, and Sweet and Sour shrimp. Roast duck was EXCELLENT, got more than just breast pieces so the dark meat is really filled with flavor with the bone in pieces. The sweet and sour shrimp was nicely done, better fried and then cooked in the sauce with pineapple chunks in it. Will keep ordered from here, great food.
Round the corner to where we live - it is one of our go to places when we have guests over
Great Oriental Food - Summer or Winter - the outdoor seating is where we like to dine here
Where do I start??? The dumplings are great! I love their Chicken corn soup, The Kung Pow chicken is a good bet too, the sizzling beef is ... slurp .... great; Homestyle Tofu was nice, they never go wrong with their noodles or fried rice
If you are in the area and like oriental cuisine - good place to put a check on the box
We stopped by here last night for a late night dinner. We were immediately greeted by a lovely waiter named Gopal. We ordered the mix fried noodles, chicken Manchurian and crispy chilli chicken. All very delicious and fresh and brought to our table shortly after we ordered.
However I'm going to emphasize on the brilliant service of Gopal and what an amazing job he did.
He was attentive, nice and quite frankly the sweetest guy. It was a pleasure to be served by him and he was an absolute joy to be around . Make sure you ask for him and order the crispy chicken !
Fast delivery. Ordered hangs roast duck, hot and sour soup, chicken fried rice.
The duck was very good alittle bit fatty but a good taste. Hot and sour soup was ok, chicken fried rice was poor hardly any chicken it and it was very bland.
Will order the duck again..
So the journey continues in Dubai to find the great London/Melbourne Chinatown equivalent of a great Chinese meal. Our journey this time took us to Tang Palace where we ventured into Chicken Fried Rice, Hanging Roasted Chicken, Slow Braised Chicken in Canton Style and Sauteed Bok Choy. The Bok Choy was a winner, and the fried rice we spent time exploring to identify if chicken was present. Both other chicken dinners were tasty- but be aware they only come with the chicken- nothing else (rice or any kind of vegetables), and due to this we felt they were slightly overpriced. All in all though would we order again from Tang Palace- probably but the journey still continues (it has been a 14 year journey) to find a great Chinese meal in Dubai.
I personally don't fancy chinese food but the food here is exceptional. Delicious, flavorful authentic chinese food with reasonable price. Worth every penny. 😋
Overall very good! Dim sum delicious !
Very clean and great for a late meal .
I highly recommend for all fans of chinese food.
We'll come back for sure.
Great atmosphere, nice and kind service, food was also delicious: recommended Duck, Wonton soup, Chicken & Prawn Dumplings. I usually order for delivery and bring also friends and family
Great food, attentive service. Dumplings could use more seasoning but other than that, great. Ordered the long beans with beef and the dumplings so not much to go on food variety wise. I'd wish they had ice cream on the menu and coffee. I'd recommend to give this place a go.
Good food! Nice service! Well decorated! I would highly recommend this restaurant to all my friends. And this one is... by far the best Chinese food in town.
Went here for dinner last night. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. This is authentic chinese tasting dishes. I had the dan dan noodles, which was donevto perfection. The big pot of Green tea was delicous.
Duck is very good - service is a bit I don't care - if we ask for details about the food he said - I don't know - hmm maybe he should learn ...
I was looking for a place for lunch and decided to try this place out in the hope of eating something light and healthy. The restaurant is just off the street with indoor and outdoor seating. The interiors are as red as you would expect a Chinese restaurant to be, with lovely lanterns hanging off the ceiling and bamboo embossed furnishing. You do feel that for a moment you could be in China. The server showed me to.my table and was very friendly. The menu is well laid out with pictures. This helps to make an informative choice while ordering. I ordered the sweet corn chicken soup, the wok tossed pok choy and mushrooms and a portion of chicken pot stickers. The soup was nice but lacked a little salt for me. However, you can taste the sweetness of the sweetcorn and the flavour of the chicken. It was light with little to no cornflour and not thick like it's served in other restaurants. This tasted healthy and nice with very finely diced chicken pieces in it. The pok choy and mushrooms were tossed in soya sauce. The pok choy had a nice bite...the way I like it. The mushrooms used were fresh shitake and they were meaty and juicy. Delicious! My favourite though was the pot stickers. They were very good and a must try. The dough was so thin with a yummy filling of minced chicken with notes of ginger and onion....mouthwatering good. Thus is when I asked the staff where the chef was from. Not surprised with the answer...China! Yay, for once I have discovered a nice Chinese restaurabt with authentic chicnese food. This is probably the best chinese restaurant in the marina area and definitely worth a try. I will definitely be coming back with my husband as he loves chicnese food.
Finally find an authentic Chinese restaurant here in Marina. Very happy with the quality and portion of the dishes. Obviously they have very good chef. I will definitely come back again. One suggestion is to open the online ordering services in zomato and other ordering apps.
YUM
Honestly, I was a little apprehensive about trying this place which I've walked past many a time... Maybe it was the (old now updated) menu design, the front sign in red neon or how sparsely populated it was BUT I'm so happy I finally visited!
The staff were polite, the interior was nicely designed and gave a sense of occasion complete with comfy booths and lanterns and the food was excellent quality. The Kung Pao chicken was good enough, beating the offerings at most other Chinese restaurants in the area. The 'home made' tofu was very nice (we finished the rather large serving). BUT funnily enough - it was a vegetable dish that blew me away - GREEN BEANS. Yes, really - simple green beans fried with garlic, delightful dried chilliest and mince beef. I couldn't get enough.
4 dishes (chicken, tofu, beans, rice), 2 coke light, one jasmine tea came in at 160 DHS. Not bad, not cheap but considering the location and high quality I was happy.
Alright, first of all, if you are not into real Chinese food, then you should probably go somewhere else (maybe Panda Express or P.F. Chang's). There are many, albeit not well known, Chinese restaurants in Dubai but I guarantee that not many will match the food and interior ambiance that these guys have.
Walking in, you will find modern Chinese decor coupled with touches of traditional works of art such as replicas of the Qingming Festival Painting and the Terracotta Warrior. The place is well lit with traditional Chinese lanterns and you can hear the fierce fires of the Chinese wok to confirm the authenticity in their methods.
In terms of food, everything they have here is hand made from raw materials. The dim sum along with all their wheaten products are prepared by hand from fresh primary ingredients selected from local markets. Talented in the art of dough-making and kneading, their chefs give you some of the best hand-pulled noodles in town. Everything that comes out of their wok is just as how the Chinese would have it in China.
They have a Chinese, Filipino and Indian server on duty to to help you guys sort out your orders. They are quite friendly, especially towards children.
So if you are in the area and would love some authentic Chinese food, this is the place!
Great place, the food is so good,The food is similar to when I went to china. Service is good, and the location is easy to find. I recommend their fried rice
Not sure about previous negative review, perhaps opening pains. Our experience here was phenomenal. Had pretty much all the dumplings and the quality was excellent (we just got back fromHong Kong and the freshness of the ingredients can definitely rival most of the dim sum we had there). If you enjoy good dim sum this is in my opinion the best place I've had it in Dubai.
