Happy to have this place around. I've tried their biryani, manakish, and pizza too! I enjoyed them all, always flavorful and appetizing.
Very good shawarma sandwiches and manakeesh I tried also the pizza margherita and I really recommend it for breakfast. The shop is quite small but there are few tables and chairs
I'm rating the only thing that I always order is the dear light man2ouche.
Love the dough so light and the thyme is not heavy and u can enjoy the taste of it unlike other places where the oil drops from the man2ouche.
Very quick service like 2min plus u can take hummus from next door and enjoy it with their man2ouche.
Excellent variety of authentic Lebanese food. Staff is very pleasant and add to your good experience. Been here first time and am sure going to come again and also order via Zomato. Shouldn't miss drinking "Labna Irani"
Food is good but the service is not, im trying to ask the waiter for some softdrinks but the waiter gives me a bad impression instead of recommending something.
This place is generally my midnight pit stop, their sandwiches never disappoint, I generally order their Philadelphia sandwich. If you are looking for a pocket friendly arabic joint which serves good sandwiches and wraps, near Al Barsha, look no other than shoo laziz.
The emphasis here is squarely on a good quality meal being served. The time taken to serve is long but its because the food served is fresh. We loved the hummus and the grilled chicken. One recommendation to the management is to have some light music being played, because a noisy bunch of customers at the next table can make it unpleasant.
I would definitely visit again.
Great traditional food for very reasonable price and the staff is real friendly. Regular customer of their delicious food. Should try their cusine cooked in pots and shistawok sandwich.

Shoo Laziz in English would translate to “So Delicious” well this is not an easy challenge that this tiny restaurant gave itself.
THE LOCATION: a small store in Barsha, easily accessible,
PARKING: Meter Parking
THE AMBIENCE: You can see the kitchen from the street, especially the huge oven, you can tell that the speciality of this place would be anything that will get cooked in that oven. The restaurant is small maybe 6 tables max. It looks that a small cafteria.
THE SERVICE: Fantabulous, it is a one man show and he is extremely helpful. One person is the waiter, cashier, busboy, answer the delivery calls. I ordered Diet Pepsi they only had regular, so I said thanks I don’t want a drink. He left the restaurant went to a nearby supermarket got me a cold can of Diet Pepsi. When someone goes the extra mile just to please a first time customer it tells you allot.
THE FOOD:
It is obvious that the speciality of the restaurant is food that is cooked in their clay pots. So this is what we mainly ordered the “Pottery” is they call it comes in 2 sizes, we chose the small one to try more than one dish. We ordered much more than we can eat :) but it is was worth it:
Egg Shakshouka 25 AED 8/10
Egg with Halloumi 25 AED 10/10
Kofta sesame sauce 28 AED small size 8/10
Arabic Shawarma 15AED 6/10
The Eggs with Halloumi cheese in a clay pot cooked in the oven is out of this world. I will go back again just have this dish with their tasty homemade bread. Next time I also want to try the Eggs with Sujuk (Sausages) or the one with Awarma (Meat cubes). I also heard that their Biryani is good but I haven’t tried that yet.
The Eggs with Shakshouka I gave it only an 8 as I was expecting baked eggs nestled on a bed of spicy, aromatic tomatoes with more flavor. I was hoping for more tomato sauce, chili peppers, onions, spices and I expected that the eggs will be poached on top before it all goes to the oven. What we got was closer to scrambled eggs with tomatoes and onions, not what I actually expected nor hoped for, but I have to say it was still delicious.
Kofta sesame sauce for only 28 AED is tastier than the one I had at Awani in JBR for 65AED which they call it Kafta with Tahini
The chicken Shawarma was nothing to write home about I will never order it again.
THE PORTION SIZE: generous
THE COST: Value for money
THE BOTTOM LINE: authentic, delicious, and ideal. As they open at 8:00 AM I will go back again and again to have breakfast, and maybe one day for lunch to give their Biryani a try.
Its one of the best Manakeesh restaurant in Dubai, dining here since 2012 and the taste is the same as always.

Solid choice for suhoor or a Arabic style breakfast. Manaish and saj rolls that are well made. Definitely undeserving of the low rating. Their pottery is a must try , particularly the Kallayet Bandora

I think they should just change their establishment to be a take away/delivery food joint, considering they don't have that much of a sitting place anyways. But they can cook some tasty stuff, just wowww food.
We ordered take away food from Shoo laziz. We tried their potteries Kibbeh Labanieh, Kallayet Bandoura, Kofta Sesame Sauce in savouries and their sublime Umme Ali.
First of all this concept of cooking food in clay pots is just like super super cool :) Secondly my sub-continental palate keeps looking for Arabic food which is more like a "Salan-Curry" :) So while all the barbecues are good, are fun , are tasty. I am always looking for arabic food which can be had with a bread or rice and isn't a barbecue. Shoo laziz is one such joint which gives many such options.
Their kallayet bandoura is something i have had again and again. I just find the concept of taking so much flavour out of such simple ingredients just amazing. I have had the kallayet's vegetarian option without beef and its awesome. The staff is kind enough to serve you the same dish with beef, with chicken if that's what you prefer or purely vegetarian if you don't want the protein. The truth is its the tomato+onion+chilli mixture which is the rockstar, you better have it without any proteins to get the real taste of the dish. For the simplest of ingredients you would probably have never guessed a dish could be so tasty. Works great with the bread they provide complimentarily.
Kibbeh Labanieh is basically a dish where Kibbeh a very well known arabic appetizer is cooked in yogurt. The yogurt after cooking in this case becomes this sort of a textural naivety which you would hardly have had a chance to try in the past. While the kibbeh absorb the yogurt liquids and become super soft. Again works great with the bread.
The Kofta sesame sauce dish is beef koftas , basically minced beef steaklets cooked in Tahini. Now tahini is something i have always had with Flafel or with shawarmas. A dish cooked and meet drenched in tahini is again a sort of a taste experience our sub-continental palates are completely unaware of. It turns out to be an experience worth having atleast once.
Umme Ali is an arabic bread pudding. And cooked in a clay pot, i just love the sweet dish both in its hot fresh form. As well as when it has spent a night in the fridge and the milk has been absorbed by the flaky bread to make this porridgey consistency. But if you haven't had Umme Ali in UAE. Just rush to Shoo Laziz get a take away clay pot and embrace the flavours, the taste the brilliance :)
I love everything in this place. It's for take away only though, I wouldn't dine. Their clay pot food is amazing and home style. And their dough is amazingly thin lite and tasty. Fast delivery too
Okay , the Interior Design is very love hate. It is weirdly eccentric and not too shabby but it also seems disorganized as one side doesn't file in with regard to semblance and the washbasin visibly out in the open seems a bit abrupt to the otherwise interesting Setup.
As for food, its good. Many options to choose from and there is something called an Awarma that I would recommend.

Really good food, we ordered three times in one week. The Arabic shwarma is great value for money, the Grilled Chicken comes on a full platter. Very happy. I didn't like Shoo laziz, but was nice to try once.
I second Basil's opinion. The main dishes are very authentic especially the vine leaves (ورق عنب or يبرق). But it doesn't come with meat or 3asa3ees :( but still very good taste. The fish sayadieh is a tasty one too. Still have more to try.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant. They started as another name and re-branded the whole place 3 years back. It has really picked up since. Their main dishes come in clay pots that you can keep at home and are freshly cooked and oven baked with bread covering the pot. The food is quite authentic and good in quality. I gave them a 4 because their manakeesh still lacks several standard qualities such as being folded ONCE as to a traditional manakeesh and the bread becomes cracky in a couple of minutes. Other than that their pizzas, main dishes, pastries and gourmet sandwiches are really mouth-ili-cious!
Tip to the owner: as Foul n Hummus and Shoo Laziz are both your, theres an empty shop in between, grab it! :)
