Such a lovely bar. The food is also amazing. Good drinks packages, plus you can use entertainer / zomato etc for food and drinks, plus they have a good happy hour. The staff know our names and always welcome us when we arrive. It’s like having a local pub, just as we had in England.

Allows dogs, even gives offer for people with dogs and provide water for them. Most dog friendly place in Dubai, would give more stars if it was possible !
Decent prices for drinks at happy hour and one of the very few places or maybe the only one were you can literally drop in and sit next to the street outside and have alcohol without feeling you are even in a hotel.
To top it off they actually have good food, so really nothing bad to say about this place. Could add a light beer on tap though please, amstel light or bud light...
Great little place to have a few drinks and dine Al fresco. Good pub food, packed full of flavour and you can tell the chef puts effort into what he’s making. Sometimes places like this are so focused on the drinks that food is an afterthought, not here - I enjoy visiting this place to eat as much as just having a few drinks outside enjoying the weather. It’s dog friendly too which is a bonus :-) the staff are attentive and very very pleasant which just makes the overall experience that much better.

Staff is nice and kid friendly place. We ordered their special veg salad , chicken curry, roasted chicken and fish which were all amazing.
Has ample of space and the area outside the restaurant has a nice view in the evening. Good for taking pictures :p

Tried the Iftar buffet at counter culture and it was indeed a rewarding experience. Great variety of desserts and good food. The ambience was warm and welcoming. Wish I could have tried all the desserts though ..... sigh!

I found this deal from Cobone which was AED 79.00 for an international dinner buffet with unlimited soft beverage valid on Thursdays. Among all the Thursday dinner deals, this is the most enticing deal so I bought 2 vouchers for me and my friend. . It’s not difficult to find since it is at Dubai Marriot Harbour Hotel. Dinner starts at 6:30 PM but they let us enter even if we were 30 minutes early. They even accommodated when we ordered tea. When we arrived, the food was ready. Here is the list of the food served on that day.
Great portion size, you will not go away feeling hungry I had the summer salad bowl and would definitely have it again. The staff are friendly and attentive. A nice spot for lunch.
Great place - love their Thursday evening buffet and have been going to their Iftars for 2 years in the row. This review is about their buffet & iftars as I have not visited the CCC at other times.
The selection of food is just great - the spread is of medium size but every single dish has a lot of flavor and if very fresh. Even the pasta station is perfect, which is usually not the case in other places.
A special mention for desserts, which are out of this world - the milk cake, the carrot cake, the red velvet and so on... just by thinking about it I want to go back.

Counter Culture Café is a casual dining eatery located at the Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites, Dubai Marina. The ambiance is great. Both indoor and outdoor, very relaxing, Neat and best place to Chill. Interior is very nice, I like the idea of the ice cream station and salad station, makes me choose & create my own salad. also the Plants adds more relaxing vibes on the café.
Lovely ambience, perfect weather, we ordered the garlic parmesan chicken wings and jalapeno stuffed cheese and loved it!! This place is pet friendly as well.
Was recommended by a friend... and it turned out to be great. We ordered Oooh Mama meatballs... and it was too good.. tasted like home made meatballs my grandmother used to cook. Our 2nd order was Flaked Hot Smoked Salomon on Toasted Rye... it was also very good.
Nice place, friendly staff. They have good cookies. They also have a buffet, never been to that. Overall, a good place to just grab a grub. I’ve been there always for a quick coffee.

I have been to counter culture cafe last year for iftar that time I loved the food but there was a problem with cooling but this year they really worked on everything which made it the best place for iftar.
I don't know from where to start the appetizers are so variable and each dish make you really want to see what's next.
When you move to the main courses you face the ouzi lamb dish then shawerma station after that variable dishes of Asian Indian and arabic cuisines will appear also samosa and kibbeh and spring rolls.
All that was tasty and you will never regret trying one of them
The other side contains fruits and sweets so many types of sweets which are from different types and they are really yummy
They have ice cream section
The place is highly recommended and really deserve a visit we all enjoyed our time especially with the great service they have and I want to thank the girl who was so friendly and helpful marry.
All the staff are nice and they serve you quickly.

Amazing shisha, amazing food, extremely positive and attentive staff.
Got a Quinoa Salad (asked to change the dressing) with pulled beef, and, believe me, it was made in heaven. Tomahawk burger was succulent and cooked perfectly. I still feel that crunchy bacon in my mouth!
Just make sure you adjust your order if you are not a fan of spicy food. Chipotle is everywhere :-)

A good place to go for drinks, or even a late snack. Coffees, cakes and milkshakes is what I enjoyed the most in this place. Friendly staff and overall quite decent.

I had recently visited Counter Culture Cafe for Iftar. The cafe has been open for Iftar, second year in a row. They also have a seating area outside.
The spread offered a wide range of options including Lebanese, Indian, Chinese and Italian. The main attraction was full lamb displayed at the center of the buffet. The options included biriyani, dim sums, shawarma, samosas and pasta.
A personal favorite was the range of desserts offered including live ice cream counters.
Overall, the Cafe offers a good options for a relaxed Iftar evening with family and friends.
The Cafe offers valet service making your visit convenient.
Post Ramadan, the cafe will be a great indoor place to hang out especially with summers around the corner.

Very good iftar experience with great choice and quality of food and very friendly service. From starters, to mains and dessert there was more than the usual every day selection. I liked also very much that the tables were not too closed to each other so that we were also sitting really nicely. We come again for sure!

Iftar at counter culture cafe
If you are looking for a delicious Iftar spread for an affordable price, Counter Culture Cafe is your answer. Located on the ground floor of the Dubai Marriott Harbor Suites, this restaurant will delight yours with their sumptuous spread. The restaurant had both indoor and lovely outdoor seating but the outdoor would count in the scorching Dubai summers, so we were seated in their limited but cozy indoors. The Ramadan decorations are to a minimum but the place still oozing out Ramadan vibes.
There are 5 drinks on offer which includes 2 Arabic drinks, one detox water and a fresh juice, also Laban is served on your table in a cute bottle. The mandatory dry fruit stations and lentil soup is in place too. I personally loved their dim-sum corner which serves chicken, seafood and vegetable dim sum. There were hot and cold mezze sections which has some great selections. Fish kibbeh and pistachio paste was my favorite. My friend really enjoyed the live prawns station and the shish tawook. Another section that I loved has some really good shawarmas, burritos, falafel rolls and freshly made flatbreads.
For the mains we had the star of every Iftar, the lamb ouzi and for those who don't know what ouzi is, Ouzi is basically baked lamb and spiced rice, a Ramadan favorite in this part of the world. The ouzi is a communal dish, to be shared by families and friends. Ramadan is an important time to bring communities together, and the ouzi is instrumental in doing so.
We had some Indian stuff too like biryanis, butter chicken, an Italian pasta and a couple of oriental dishes.
Now coming to everybody's favorite section, the dessert station. It's the prettiest dessert spread I have seen. It's got handing chocolate lollipops, a chocolate tree, cute little cupcakes, chocolate bars which are made in-house. It also consisted of cakes, rice puddings, fresh fruits, a variety of Baklava and other Arabic desserts. If this wasn't enough you could always go to the ice cream section which has a variety of flavors and toppings. Here, my favorite was the umm ali, the kunafa and the almond rice pudding. Also, the chocolates were to die for.
In conclusion, I'd like to say that this should be your best bet if you are looking for a lavish Iftar which will just cost you a mere AED 120.

I went here with friends last night for Iftar. Unlike the restaurant I visited the other night, CCC did not exert the same effort to decorate its place in the spirit of the month. The rustic lamp and a plate of dried fruits on each table were the only touches adopted by the restaurant.
The interiors were modern but smaller than how I imagined it to be. There was an outdoor space that was practically unusable under the current weather. In spite of its size, the place looked airy and uncluttered.
CCC had a busy evening last night; the place was packed. It always helps to have reservation in places like this. I felt the waiting staffs were a bit stretched last night. The person manning our section was always on the move, being called from table to table. She was friendly enough but service was basic, with none of the occasional check-ins you would expect from a place like this. The staffs behind the buffet counters were lovely especially with the kids. The way the staff at the dessert counter dealt with my friend's son was awesome. The little boy was a happy customer.
The buffet spread was not as extensive as that of other Iftar buffets. I was, however, looking forward to trying their food. My colleague is a big fan of this place and I've heard her talk about the food here with so much gusto countless times. From the moment I got in, I couldn't wait to have my palate be tickled by what CCC offers. The selection was International, a good start. Not a single cuisine dominated. I tried something from each cuisine apart from the lamb dishes (I am always put off by the after taste of lamb). I loved the dim sum selection particularly the seafood siomai and vegetable spring rolls. I enjoyed the little Italian section with small pizza squares and the fish flake rolls. I was underwhelmed by the chicken shish tawook but was amazed by the prawns in some kind of sauce. I found the dessert section astounding. For a moment, the child in me was awaken. Loved the moist and delicious chocolate and red velvet cakes. Nice ice cream flavor selections. I couldn't have enough of the broken chocolates particularly the milk chocolate with nuts. Those light sweets on little glasses were both pretty and tasty. The lollipops hanging on threads were whimsical. The cupcakes were moist with light icing. It was paradise for those with sweet tooth.
For such quality cuisine, the price tag was a mere AED 120. It was a steal! I was glad to have chosen this place for Iftar and I guarantee that the season will not end without me paying a second Iftar visit at this place.
CCC, you surprised me. No wonder why my colleague raves about you.

First impression- buffet is not boring in terms of food varieties. Food is good quality and made in high standard way. The diversity included: shrims, kebab, lamb, several types of chicken ( from protein side ). The buffet is not huge, but we left soo much full.
I would recommend Iftar for families with kids, as desert station is giant with chocolate/red velvet cake, arabic sweets, fruits and lollipops 🍭 + ice- cream 😍
PS didnt know that Detox water - will be that much tasty ))))

A favorite breakfast and dinner spot for me as it is just beside our residential building. The cafe offers quite standard fare and they do both hearty and healthy dishes very well for every meal.
It has a great neighborhood feel and we always feel welcomed. It's just a bit sad they took out their Happy Hour deals, as I always liked having a drink before dinner at times.
If you're in the area and want to have great breakfast without the unnecessary frou-frou of the usual Dubai crowd, you should really check this place out. Low-key but not cheap.
Living in Dubai nearly 4 years I've come to expect poor service in restaurants. Imagine my surprise when our server was attentive, thorough and really friendly (tall male, wish I had caught his name!! An incredible experience dining outside. Tasty, well portioned food too

Popped in for a quick lunch at CCC. Love that they have outdoor seating with sun or shade options under their giant orange umbrellas. The staff are polite and courteous assisting with every request. The food arrived in reasonable timing but they do have free wifi whilst you wait. We ate the beef brisket burger which comes on a potato bun with crispy pieces of bacon. The burger is juicy and saucy with the bacon adding the perfect crunch. The sweet potato fries were cooked just right and seasoned with herbs and Parmesan cheese. I'll definitely be stopping by again to try more off the menu. They also accept #EntertainerDubai
The cafe just launched their all new menu which is absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend heading there to try out the Burrito wrap, the Ooh Mama meatballs, the chicken soup and the BAD smoothie. Great place to work from or sit outside on the terrace. They even allow you to chill at the terrace with your pets (who doesn't love a 'pets are welcome' outlet?) 😍

Counter Culture Cafe or CCC is a perfect spot for outdoor casual dining or just having drinks located at Marriot Harbor hotel. I tried their vegetarian burger that was well served on rye bread stuffed with veggie patty and fresh salad along with some hand cooked crisp. The ambience is very refreshing and staff service is great. Their prices are little high but worth the quality and service being offered. I can definately recommend this place to try.
Went for a Friday brunch.. Spread is perfect as we are not really into rice and meats. They have a salad counter (To be honest never had seen kale in buffets except here), antipasti counter, shawarma and sandwich station, pasta station and fresh and tasty pizza station, dessert station pecan tart was the star and we all went crazy with the waffle and crepe station. There are also hot food items thumbs up for the vegetable dimsum! Staff are warm and very helpful. Ambiance is so relaxed, al fresco dining is also available.

I came in yesterday for a light dinner. The restaurant as a whole was a great concept. It was nicely designed, and the menu items are quite specially done, however not perfectly executed. Dont get me wrong, the food was good, we ordered the Crostini (tomato and mozzarella & jerk chicken and emmental), pulled chicken tacos, and the blueberry and quinoa with pomegranate sauce. The crostini was delicious, but came a little bit too cold, if it was warmer, you could tell it would have been that much better. The blueberry and quinoa was a great concept, however a little too sweet for my taste, (I still had a few bites, the mixture of ingredients went well together, but I would have preferred a lighter sauce), the pulled chicken tacos were really the greatest I tried! Crunchy, well seasoned, and just a great quick bite! The staff was insanely friendly, so I hate to say but it was a little slow, but they did seem understaffed. Keep in mind, she smiled so much and was so kind I didnt mind the slow service.
Hands down the best service so far!! The food was pretty good and the servers were awesome! Hard working people and very friendly. It was my friend's birthday during the stay and they even prepared a small cookie/cake for him. Definitely recommend it. And on top of that the price was great.

Whilst it was a nice spread, to be honest, if I had to pay full price I would have been disappointed.
The juice bar is great with a machine to have freshly squeezed OJ. They also had a variety of other juices in small bottles which were cute.
Fresh fruits, muesli, cheese, pastries, cereals, egg live station, pancakes, waffles & variety of hot breakfast items are available.
I tried the scrambled egg & it was a tad dry for me. The poached egg however was great.
Service is good especially the chefs around the food who are making sure everything is to your tastes.
My tea order took ages though & for some reason they served in a takeaway cup rather than normal cutlery. My friends coffee came in a normal porcelain mug.

I went to Counter Culture Cafe for the Ramadan Iftaar Buffet. The place has amazing service and hospitality. They were having those Ramadan tents which gave a very authentic feeling of Arabian culture with Arabian music. The food was average. It was good that they had a mix of cuisines because Arabic food can sometimes become very plain and boring, especially when you are used to Indian spicy food. I loved their Shawarma and a dish which I had for the first time: Lamb Ouzi. It is very similar to Mandi - roasted meat served with rice. I also had their dessert called Umm Ali which is very similar to Indian kheer.
I went for the Ifaat buffet yesterday!! Was a small yet quite a good buffet.. With laban and arabic drinks included ..
Service was so prompt and good .. As soon as u finish they come to clear your place;the the glass of water if empty.. Was impressive!
CCC just went through a revamp with new interiors and a new menu to boot. Loved their retail section, side note they even stock the large version of Maille’s dijon mustard :O. It’s a casual dining eatery with daily specials (they have a baking timetable too, when we arrived they just finished baking quiches and up next were cookies), a build your own salad station and a huge selection of cakes.

Early morning had arrived for Christmas Breakfast . Warm welcome by the manager , as I looked at the buffet was very much eager to try almost everything , 3 love cooking stations they had for eggs , waffles & pancakes . Loved the breakfast Buffet as each of the items were fresh . The best part about this place was the service that was been offered by Mrs. Juliet & Mr. Hamadi they where so friendly and generous honestly this was the best hospitality and service after the 7 star Burj Al ARAB Hotel .
Over all , Counter Culture is simply amazing when it comes to breakfast buffet 👍
I had never heard of Counter Culture until I recieved a voucher from Zomato for their breakfast buffet.
Needless to say, it was lavish; right from salads, bread to pancakes and waffles.
A big shout out to their staff, who were extremely hospitable! The chef and the waitstaff kept checking if everything was fine.
The next awesome thing about this place is that they provide fresh juice which is included in the buffet. Hot Chocolate is not quite impressive.
Everything tasted pretty decent. The chocolate muffins were great! Eggs were well made and so were the pancakes and waffles. They have kept loads of Nutella, so that's brilliant!
There was salmon, trout, ham, pork - which were all fresh and good!
To sum it up, it was a good experience!

Beautiful terrace , was informed by one of the Filipino servers that this place is going to have a major rehaul , its gonna become in to nice Cafe , CCC she called it "Counter Culture Cafe ".

Coming to the food, the menu is kept simple and minimal so you get to try dishes which have been mastered by the chef. I quite like the concept of this cafe since it doesn't just provides the earthy charm but also dishes which are healthy.

This is on the ground floor of the Marriott Hotel in the Marina, this is a good place to catch up with friends as there is usually seats available. Staff were really attentive and the food was tasty. And there is a good selection of snacks and the coffee is smooth.

A really decent breakfast buffet as attached to the Marriott hotel. Free wifi also a bonus, and didn't have any internet set up! The juice was fresh pressed, the honey was served straight from the comb, the staff was attentive and informative. We made sure to eat our fill here every morning.

Nice and lively place to have breakfast, brunch or a quick bite. Coffee is really nice and they have non-dairy milk option too. Service is great, valet parking is free, and the ambience is fresh. Good place for business or a casual meeting. Recommended!

I loved the RAMADAN iftaar box by Counter Culture cafe.
It was so lavish. The quantity and quality both were impressive. Soup, starters, salads, breads, main course and beverages were all labeled and were in a gorgeous sturdy box.
Although we ordered for 4 people the quantity was enough for 7/8.
My family loved the taste. It was like having our own personal buffet. A highly recommend trying it.

The food was good and we enjoy it . The service was excellent and the team is very friendly and attentive to small details and supportive . Their prices are fair as per the market . If you live in marina or nearby it worth to visit and try their food . They have valet parking if you face problem in finding a parking .

Amazing breakfast buffet followed by and awesome all day menu, with some very nice wines and cakes too. Staff are friendly and Marriott standards, knowledgeble and peoactive. A very good addition to the marina!
