And the best part was the complimentary desserts , they served us kleisha (iraqi speciality) which was yum.

I heard about this Iraqi restaurant few months ago and wanted to try their masgouf fish.
We ordered masgouf fish, fattoush, hummus.
They've provided complimentary lentil soup, bread and tea.
Lentil soup was good enough.
Bread was freshly baked.
Fattoush: not the best fattoush that I have.
Hummus was rich and creamy.
Now... time for masgouf fish: they grilled the carp fish by traditional Iraqi way... fish was perfectly cooked and full of flavors. It takes almost 45min to 1 hour to cook.
They served it with one special sauce.
Staffs are friendly and cooperative.

I would say this restaurant is exceptional, they have very authentic food with an outstanding service and customer experience. The food is super delicious and they offer free complimentary deserts, fruits and tea still their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend the place if you have a VIP guest or friends and family.

Been there a few times. The Maskouf fish is mind-blowing! By far the best grilled fish I’ve tried in my time in UAE! The place is so authentic and unique, everyone living in Dubai must go there at least once! Never knew that Iraqi cuisine is so good before visiting this place. One of my favorite places in town to dine in with a company of friends and family! One hint to anyone going there for the first time - call them in advance and order Maskouf fish for the time you’re planning to come, as it’s being cooked for 4-5 hours. They’ll reserve the fish for you and make sure it’s ready by the time you arrive. They don’t accept table reservations over the phone, though. So you’ll have to wait on a busy weekend for your table for 20-30 minutes. But, believe me, it’s worth it! The fish is good for 5-6 people. And they’ll bring plenty of appetizers along with the fish. 10/10.

This is another nice Iraqi joint in Dubai, just like their neighbor, Kabab Erbil. Great good, great service, and very nice ambiance. We ordered grilled meat, mixed salad, and fish, all of them were delicious though grilled meat was the best.

I visited Samad Al Iraqi with my wife in the evening, been here a few times also in Muscat. The ambiance and service were fantastic across all branches.
The quality of food was exceptional, greatl choice of grills, Iraqi specialities and some international dishes.
The portions were absolutely huge and freshly cooked, hot bread and soup is served to start which is complimentary 👌 have to say this place is awesome, price is very competitive 👍

Amazing exotic decor. Had a business dinner so couldn't really try out many dishes. But ordered the grilled shrimps which were one of the finest ive had. Ordered the iraqi kebabs which literally melted in my mouth. The rice was also really flavorful with nuts sprinkled on the side. Complemented by freshly baked bread being served regularly and hot lentil soup which served as appetiser, the meal was an overwhelming one. Finished it off with their amazing tea and some sweetmeat which was also delicious. Would definitely go back for more, although rather on the pricey side.
Professional restaurant with Iraqi and Middle-Eastern specialities - beautifully decorated! Busy and waiting time for the famous grilled fish can be long, so call to order ahead (we were told one hour waiting time) Other than that, fantastic lamb shoulder, coming complete with accompaniments. Bread is baked on the premises. Overall a lovely place for dining out.

I think this place is quite underrated. The food is brilliant. Even if you eat considerable quantity of meat and a couple of bread with the accompaniments, you do not really feel heavy. In my opinion, that is quality cooking style. The price is moderate for what they serve too. My favourite is of course the grill. The one with nuts in it is yum!

Very good food and great decor. Before going, I was put off by the prices, but the portions are huge, and well worth the price.
Complimentary pickles, a salad of tomato, onion, and cucumber, lentil soup, and bread. The lentil soup was not too blended and very flavorful. The bread was awesome and stayed soft for almost the entire meal.

1) Samad restaurant hummus - interesting flavors, more exciting than regular hummus.

1) shawarma tashrib - HUGE portion (good for 2-3 people), very nice taste, and no over-powerful spices.

Ever since a friend introduced me to this place, it has been my most favourite restaurant. As you enter you are welcomed warmly by the humble staff. The decor is impressive. Coming to the food, I was simply amazed to taste their famous bbq fish. The whole fish is grilled in flames, and the way it is served is really eye catching. It ain’t spicy yet full of flavour. Their Iraqi kebabs are my all time favourite. I have been there for iftar too and that was a lovely experience. They had amazing set up they had for their grand iftar. They had array of dishes and it was crowded yet there staff was kind and helpful. The restaurant is a little pricey but no doubt you get a royal treat :)
The Meskouf fish was delicious. I loved the smoky flavor, the meat is golden and crunchy from the outside and tender from the inside

Everything is amazing about this place. The food is so delicious. The free soup and salad at the beginning before you even look at the menu is a great touch. The bread is so soft and perfect with the soup. The kids love it here too and eat everything that we eat. The lamb in particular is so tender. Always welcoming every time we go.

Wow their masgouf is great!! Lovely place to take the family for a big hearty meal. I also like the pistachio kabab but it’s heavy so best to share. The bread and starters they serve at the beginning are also delicious and can get you full pretty quickly!

We had hosted the department iftar party in this restaurant and amazed with the variety of dishes spread over the buffet table..the food was appetizing, the Arabic desserts had me drooling, the rice with tender meat and baked fish were awesome. Free parking for 2 hours but you need to stamp the parking ticket from the restaurant cashier.

The restaurant had an Iraqi themed design, their servers were all in Iraqi attire which has this really authentic feel (although I don't really know what authentic is but as a foreigner it seems like it). Our lunch were first served with lentil soup followed by appetizers and different types of salads with bread (which is very good), all salads were superb. Then for the main course we had grilled fish. Every course our plates and utensils were changed. Then after the main dish they served tea which was so good as well. Lastly, the dessert! In terms of food, I enjoy all of it from the bread until the dessert. Service was great, our waiter was really attentive. We ordered as a good for group platter so he sliced the fish and placed some on each of our plates, same with rice and the rest. Ambience was nice as well, it feels elegant and yet not too fancy.
This place is a classic, run by its owners and is one of the best spots in town to invite someone special, great environment and the food is authentic.
A rare experience that I enjoy to have once in a while with great company of family and friends.

Went to try Iraqi food here. It was highly recomemded by a friend and it was great. Firstly the location is awesome its in jumeirah 2. It has ample free parking.
To start with they give you complimentary lentil soup. It was different but nice.
So we sat and started ordering. The grills seemed awesome so we ordered:
* iraqi kebab - the kebab was grilled to perfection and was very juicy.
*chicken tikka- it was great and well done. This was white in color and were really tender to eat.
* meskouf fish - one of the best grilled fishes ive had in dubai. It was grilled to perfection. Though it took 45mins to come but was worth it. Nxt time will order it before i go so they can have it ready for me.
* hummos - it was nice and creamy. I thought it was different than the regular ones.
They also gave me complimentary tea and custard in the end.
The service was also nice.. will go back to try more.

The restaurant is very clean and has a very beautiful interior.
We ordered
1. Chicken tikka
White chicken tikkas. Well cooked.
2. Iraqi kebabs
Also very well cooked. Soft and had a very good flavour
3. Meskouf Fish
The main dish of the day for us. We specially went in for this. It took around 50 minutes from order to being served ( i guess we should have called before going here). Loved the way its prepared, as shown in photos below.
The fish was very well cooked and very savoury. 1 is good for at least 4 good eaters.
Though I'm not very fond of fish, i could have this again. Not in the near future though.
4. Hammus
Creamy. Very good.
Overall i had a great time dining in here. They serve u complimentary lentil soup before your mains arrive. And after you're done, they serve you tea as well as sweet halwa. Which is a nice gesture from the management. Also comes complimentary are the tandoori roti which are very different you get else where and are really soft.
A highly recommended restaurant for those craving some really good iraqi food.

This had been on my list for quite a while and this place had been earmarked as a part of my efforts in trying the global cuisine . Had been there last weekend with a friend . The ambiance was striking and excellent and perhaps one of the best I have been in Dubai . We ordered the chicken starters which wasn't spicy like I was used to being and Indian but it was mild and a welcoming experience . We ordered the Iraqi Biryani which was a unqiue experience in itself with all the additional dry fruits and the flavour. Not the regular stuff we get in Indian and pakistani restaurants . As a connossieur of Biryanis it was a delight for me and my friend . Think Iraqi cuisine is my bit and I m sure I will return for more .......

Another must have dish here is the Masgouf fish- river fish that is slow cooked in wood fire grill. Made to perfection, the meat is milky white and juicy. Seafood enthsiast or not, you HAVE TO try this fish.

Followed by Sham Quzi, kept the quality standards high. It a dough stuffed with biryani rice cooked with Iraqi spice and lamb and chicken grilled in a stone oven. Very authentic and slow cooked meat satisfying a meat lovers palate.

Saucy lamb over three types of rice and vermicelli forms a very presentable dish. It looks good but it tastes even better. All three type of rice have their distinct flavour and goes very well with the succulent lamb.
The food here leaves your taste buds tantalized and wanting more. Towards the end of the meal, we were served Qawah- traditional tea with saffron and we had more than just one :)
We have visited both their outlets, Jumeirah and Al Muraqqabat. Service and food is consistent at both locations which is indeed very rare to experience. Our overall experience was superb, the service was excellent, and the prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size of meals served.
We will definitely visit again and indulge in this authentic Iraqi food heaven. Highly recommended!!
We had one of a lovely family Friday lunch at Samad. First time ever for me to try Iraqi food. Our waiter was knowledgeable of the menu. He recommended the dolma dish (staffed vine leaves and other vegetables cooked with meat and pomegranate), a kebab platter (the juiciest I have ever had), another meat dish with rice (I forgot the name of). We also ordered delicious ayran (yogurt drink), and endeded our meal with a red Iraqi tea and a selection of delectable sweets. An excellent meal. The only down side was that the place was toooo crowded, hence a bit noisy which also impacted on the speed of the service. However, the overall experience was really fantastic. And we will definitely be back.

Once you enter the doors, you travel into the realm of Arabesque architecture and it feels like you are in Babylon. Great authentic food, huge portions, bit slow service/delivery and fair prices considering size of dishes.
Favorites: stuffed lamb, ochra and mix grill....no need to mention "maskouf" fish because It's a must, just notice that the average size of the fish is about 3/4 kg so it needs a group, also it'll take an hour minimum to be cooked, but the taste worth every minute.
It was my first time having a masgouf experience and it was everything I dreamed it to be. Absolutely deliciously roasted carp fish! Hard to believe this fish that cooks over a hot charcoal altar is just seasoned with salt. The fat melts away and you are left with a flaky fish with a crispy, buttery skin that is just EVERYTHING! We got the usual sides: rocca salad, fattoush, hummus and whatnot and had no complaints there. Bread was piping hot and delicious. Resto itself was kind of crammed and busy, yet service was fast and courteous. Highly recommend!

The rice and meat are always cooked to your liking. The spices used are very authentic, rich, and give the rice a kick.
The portions are great, even two can share one meal. The place isn't overpriced at all.

The first time I tried this place it was Ramadan some years ago and that too at their Deira branch. Then it was all nine yards of an elaborate buffet with an endless spread of classics and delicacies. Impressive was the delicious food which is often disappointing when you have a buffet in most places albeit here the savories and sweets just got better.
Move ahead some years later I did the same but this time at their Jumeirah branch which was more conveniently located for me and many others who live on this side of the city.
More recently I was invited out by friends who had prepped me to enjoy something they are renowned for and boy was I not disappointed. The three of us downed their house favorite "Tanour Grilled Fish" (its huge and good for 6) and you get to choose your fish out of a variety of eight different fresh catches of the day. This dish is cooked the traditional Iraqi way in a special grill/oven where it's placed upright on spokes as it cooks away. If you want to catch a sight just peer into the window from the outside and you can catch it grilling in their open flame oven. This dish is so tender it's like butter melting in your mouth. What's nice is that their sides are fresh and tasty too. Crisp crunchy fattoush salad and awesome middle eastern creamy hummus. To round off a perfect meal not only do their waiters waver around with freshly baked breads but also revisit your table at the end of a meal with some hot brewed tea served a la regional style with lots of sweetness.

I have passed this restaurant a number of times when going to the gym and have always wanted to try the food. And finally I got a chance! Amazing value for money and the meat was delicious! We got three different types of freshly baked bread and a huge tub of fresh salad!
I have been here a multiple number of times and have been having the similar experience all the time. The quality and quantity of good served is good and ample for each individual. The initial service platter served is a good entree and one of my guys couldn't stop.commenting about it. Along with the main course and unlimited supply of fresh hot bread, it is a good bet that most of the people leaving the restaurant stuffed to the max! Do visit the fireplace and watch the fish being grilled right there. The ambience is good and the interior is done in a muted colours and lights. You can relax and have a good time at place. Went for dinner with a group of eight, to send of our Iraqi friend. Both food and service were great. We had a full 4kg fish, grilled the traditional way. As a starter we had the liver dish, hummus, and the lentil soup (complementary). I loved the bread, freshly baked and constantly refilled, and the tea at the end. Mixed grills were also tasty and well cooked. Will go back!
I love this restaurant, my addiction is the Laban. The soup, salad, istikaan chai, food is just amazing. Parking is available easily. This restaurant is worth a try :)

Visited this place for dinner last night. Lovely decor with brass lamps and wooden floors and a quite spacious interior. Really liked the intricately carved windows overlooking the ground floor once seated inside. The waitresses's uniform was charming which added to the fancy Arabian ambience of this place.
We were served with a yummy lentil soup as soon as we were seated with a slice of lemon. Soon to follow was delightfully soft and fresh khubbus. I really liked the idea of start of service before you place your order.
We ordered three mixed grills, two hummus, one mouttabal and an oozi. The food took a tad longer to arrive so we had to be careful not to stuff ourselves with too much bread as the waiters kept dumping those as soon as we finished.
Food was pretty good. Hummus was light and creamy with a hint of tang. Mouttabal was equally good. The mixed grill items were fresh, tender and well seasoned. The food presentation was also quite nicely done. After the food was cleared we were served with Arabic tea. This was too sugary but I liked the delicate Turkish tea glasses.
Service was great and so was the ambience. Food was also delectable but the prices? Way too high. These definitely need to be reconsidered. Would I visit again? I am sure I can find equally good Iraqi food someplace else for half the price so won't be tempted to pay double just for the ambience.

My favourite choice for Arabic Food in Dubai. Been there 6 times and everytime it was a perfect experience. Great Value for Money, Service is friendly, Amazing atmosphere and Decor, and the food is really really good. Just make sure to go with a group of people, so you can order many many different dishes to share. My absolute favourite is the yoghurt kebab! Thumbs up!!
I never knew Iraqi food til i discovered this place. Their welcome lentil soup fills the gap while you wait for mains. Your table is also filled with hot bread which is to die for. You really hafta stop yourself or you wont have space for anything else! I've always wanted to try their famous grilled fish but its just too huge and i hate wasting food. I tend to go for the grilled prawns which is grilled on their open fire. Served with lemon wedges and more bread! The prawns are huge, meaty and slightly charred. Simple flavours, simple food, highly satisfying!
One of my favourites in dubai. The masgoof is brilliant as are the kebabs. The lentil soup and bread is great and the iraqi tea at the end is perfect.
Always try other cuisine which I never try is great experience. I like food and service.

Great meat, nice ambience, good value for money, I went there several times and tried lamb shoulder, it never turned me down. Definetly will keep trying it
