Wonderfully located and you can get a nice view from the top level to the sea and the Burj Al Arab as well. Also very helpful staff and live music playing in the background of the bar. Valet parking is available at the hotel entrance. Thankyou Laparrilla.

Love this cute classy hotel, Jumeirah beach hotel. Restaurant is casual and has a great variety of food.

I came during the restaurant week for the three course set menu deals. The food and ambience was good. Next time please heat the plate of the main course so the food will not be cold in a second.

Nice ambience and delicious food. Staff are friendly, can be more knowledgeable on certain areas. Very magical if you had a table overlooking Burj Al Arab.

A nice restaurant with a great view and excellent service. Loved the Steak, best ever, the grilled octopus and the passion fruit cheese cake. Will be back!

We went here for our anniversary, the ambience was relaxed and views were amazing. Food was very good, steak cooked to perfection, our glasses were never empty and our waiter checked to see if when we were ready for the next course or wanted a break....

Had a great evening there with friends. Magnificent view from the terrace. Restaurant has some sections so you feel like you have a certain privacy and don’t sit back to back like in some other venues. The bit more quite restaurant style, also suitable for business dinners.
The life dance show was fun and made the evening even nicer. Food is lovely though a bit pricey. Coming back!

This is my 2nd time to do Friday Brunch at La Parrilla after seeing many positive reviews on the place. The place is simply amazing. Not only the breathtaking view of Burj Al Arab and the marina, but the vibe there is also perfect. For the first time, we visited there with a group of 12, and this time with a group of 6. Both time, my guests really enjoyed and thanked me a lot for the choice of the place.

This is not a typical Friday brunch where you have to get up and grab your food. Instead, here at La Parrilla, they bring you food to your table, making it perfect for lazy people like me.

Food quality is also nice, not the typical brunch quality. But if you fill your stomach with appetizers, you can’t get full of this brunch, because the main meal, grilled steak and seafood, that is served right before the dessert is the best part of the brunch! (And you can order more plates if you like them)

This place is on my top of my Brunch list, and I will definitely come back!

Terrible place!!! Worst costumer service ever!!! The food is nothing spectacular... (what should be for the price)
In the beginning was very messy because there was the iron main running around dubai which affected the access to the hotel and no one from the staff advised us. (We called two times, even in the same day of the reservation)
We were a group of 11 and they did not give extra portion of meat and the current portion was shameful and very small for 11 people. The food delayed a lot
The unique thing nice was the music and the view, the rest was simply pathetic!
In the end to make more mess in the whole messy place, It was time for us to go and there was a security guy just throwing us out without even a first notice of the manager about the time... they didn't let us finish our drinks... it was ridiculous and very impolite! All the other tables were able to finish their drinks but all were obligated to get out without any advice from the management team, just the security guy is very impolite way. The jumeirah group should be ashamed to have a restaurant like this in one of their best hotels. It is missing a lot for you all to be a nice restaurante...

We visited LP during a Friday brunch. In some ways a brunch is the best and worst way to sample a restaurant, you do not get the flexibility to chose what you want but then you get a wide variety to sample the kitchen's capability. I like the fact this is an a la carte brunch -- it means the food is cooked to order and you get to re-order the things you like without getting up, lining up etc.

The restaurant is on the top floor of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. I highly recommend a seat near the ocean-facing windows (but maybe away from the patio doors). The view of the Burj Al Arab, Marina and hotel below is fantastic, especially on a clear day. The view alone is a good reason to come here. The low roof makes the restaurant feel intimate when there is a large floor space.

There are some standout items in this brunch such as the richness of the grilled steak and roasted chicken, the fresh bright ceviche, the buttery, stuffed empanadas, the sweet crab dish, the simple classic bread with tomato puree and ultimately the sugary churros with chocolate dipping sauce. There is a lot of food here and it is done to a standard well above what you get at brunches twice the price and buffet style.

We opted for prosecco package which I recommend because -- hey why not -- and it is more reasonably priced than other prosecco brunch packages. The good news is that at the time of writing this, you can also use Entertainer vouchers so you get 2-4-1 offers (worth it!).

My one point I would change: the live dancing entertainment is not necessary. There is enough going on with the food, the view and the live singing. I do not like dancers trying to get me moving around the restaurant in a conga line. This is the stuff of (cheap) resorts. I know some people like it but it adds nothing in my view.

I would definitely come back and look forward to it again!

Disappointing!!
Been here before for brunch which we loved. So we decided to go for an evening meal which was disappointing. We asked for the Argentinian steak which was out so we ended up ordering the angus steak. The steak was very fatty and streaky - I've had better in the brunch and also elsewhere. We had churros for dessert which took an hour to come and they were cold. A nice intimate place with a nice view but disappointed in the food this time especially when the steaks are their signature dish. I expect more in a restaurant within Jumeirah Beach and the prices your paying
In Search Of Brunch
This brunch has been in high demand, mainly due to the 2 for 1 offer on the Entertainer. After several failed attempts at booking a table for this Latin brunch we finally succeeded. Thus the expectations were sky high. “Brunch the Latin Way” is how La Parrilla promotes itself and mention that the brunch features” a Ceviche and Pisco bar and a menu of tapas dishes to share, live grill and live entertainment from our new award winning Columbian dancers”. On our visit however; the ceviche and pisco bar, the live entertainment and the Colombian dancers were nowhere to be seen! (Colombia is spelled with an ‘O’ not a ‘U’).

I was looking for a good romantic place to invite my wife and went to la parrilla. The ambiance was amazing and exceeded my expectations. We ordered two main courses from Angus meat menu , it was so soft and juicy. Ribeye and tenderloin just so yummy. For side dishes we got puree potato and asparagus. Virgin Drinks are available.

Glad I chose this place for my husband's birthday dinner. Argentinean steak tastes nice. Succulent and flavorful. Different to Australian and US though, which could take a few minutes to get used to. Loved the chimichurri sauce. Nice intimate dinner date place with fantastic views of the beach and the JBH landscape. Went on a weekday though. Pretty quiet. Would love to try the Friday Fiesta brunch.

Slightly on the expensive side. But the quality of food makes up the value for money spent. Not too much variety on the menu though. The bar menu also not offering that much variety. But a good place to have a quiet time with an absolutely marvelous view..

Really good quality food, but overpriced with really bad service. I had requested for a table in a prime location since it was an occasion, they gave us a table in the corner far away from the stage so we couldn't see any of the performances, the restaurant even forgot about the occasion which clearly highlighted more than once plus the hotel was understaffed, the staff which was there did their best but there were only 2-3 people from greeting customers, assigning tables, taking orders and serving food

Vibrant atmosphere and delicious tasty food! What more can we ask for? Maybe smaller bill? ;)
First you gotta have a full course: the Empanadas, Tapas, have a main from the grill with sides and end it with churros! Yumm! I loved every bit. The service was very good, they greet you warmly and the waiter is knowledgeable and the manager elegantly checks on you and helps out in removing dishes away! The waiter helped us choosing our dishes for that special night, we ordered caramelized eggplant with truffle cream, croquetas marinas, and empanadas. A mouthwatering Argentinian tenderloin for me and ribs for the hubby with succulent pure de papa and setas (potato purée with truffle oil, mushroom mix with herb butter, asparagus). We got churros for dessert. The Latin performances from salsa, kizomba, to Argentinian tango make the experience a memorable one! To an extent we didn't even look at the view on burj al Arab!
Enjoy!

My track record with JBH over the years has been a bit of a mixed bag. It’s my personal opinion the property is completely dated, which adds to my dislike (soz, but give me a more modern hotel design any time). Furthermore, I’ve had some average or less than average evenings in the past six months ( a lackluster affair at Carnevale and the time we were almost not allowed into Mahiki because of a flip-flop vs. ‘slides’ debate, neither venue of which I am in any hurry to return). While I do think the Dhow & Anchor offers dependable service, economical pricing and a decent pub night, other than the stunning views of the Burj Al Arab, there’s not much I find intriguing about JBH.

Been there for dinner. Excellent view. Good service with dance performance. Food is also very nice. Steak is their signature and never disappointed me. Worth for visit

Stunning views, great food and beautiful entertainment is how I would like to start describing about my experience at La Parrila . The restaurant is located on the 25th floor of Jumeirah Beach Hotel offering spectacular views of Dubai skyline and the iconic Burj Al Arab. They have a live band and amazing dancers to keep the guests entertained while they enjoy their meal.

Steak oh lalala the best steak I've ever had and the sides are just amazing. View is great as well the burj el Arab view but really I salute u best steakhouse in dubai

My brother in law was visiting from London and in the mood for an Argentinian steak so we hit this spot. We were joined by a third friend from the area as well!

Between the three of us we shared 4 appetizers, 3 main courses, and 4 side dishes and the food was pretty nice!

One thing was obvious and unprofessional is how desperate was the waiter in increasing the food sale/guest check. He insisted over and over to recommend the most expensive items on the menu to include a 1.2Kg steak for two people to share. No thanks! We ended up ordering two steaks and a Seabass and they were perfectly fine. The bread was late and so were the drinks, and the main course. The appetizers arrived in due time.

Food 8/10
Service 4/10

This place was average. The food was ok. A nice family friendly place. They had some dancers and live music which certainly helped with the atmosphere on a Thursday evening. They had a nice selection of tapas dishes which you could have as starters. I felt the menu was otherwise quite limited.
Nicky Hussain
Courteous staff, well done grills with a full bodies red wine on the side. Lip smacking tapas to definitely start with - the eggplant and portobello mushrooms are the must try!

Great food enjoyed with some latino music and dance. I can count the evening at La Parilla as one of my best Dubai evenings.

Very good steak here, sides were probably not as good as I had hoped which is why the rating has dropped a little. Pricey but with entertainer is not too bad. Entertainment as well added something a bit different. Nice decor with a great view.
Rodrigo Kelly
The ambience with loud Latin live music, so hard to talk. The service really bad, and waiter was not well trained to serve and literally kicked is out when it was close to closing time. He just "dropped" the bill on our table. Basket of bread was old, possibly from the breakfast, whoever steak was good. It's pricy for what is delivered.

Bad service and bad quality of food!

This place just didn't do it for me...

First of all it took the waiter over 15 minutes to come to our table to take the order. Then our drinks did not come until we asked for them... (food arrives before the drink did, it was only soda.. not cocktails)

I really didn't enjoy the food at all.. I ordered the Argentinian Rib Eye and the meat was very very tough and had no flavor at all... very disappointing.

The only thing I enjoyed were the dancers....

Visited May 2016

This place is definitely the right place for couples as it has one of the best ambience with dimmed lights and an outstanding view of the Burj al Arab. Loved the entertainment especially the dancers. The food were really delicious; especially the rib eye steak along with the mashed potato as a side dish. However, they could way better in terms of the service because they initially made us sit right in the corner next to the live band which was a bit loud despite the fact I've clearly asked for a table with a view and asked them to call me an hour to confirm which they didn't. Overall, it was a good experience.

Fell in love with the Argentinian beef😭❤ a cosy place and dimmed lights takes the credit!! can't wait to visit there again! Not to mention , their Mambo no. 5 drink is amazing

La Parrilla is located on the 25th floor of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and has beautiful sea and the Burj Al Arab view. When we came for dinner the restaurant was quite empty , but that's ok. The service was good and the food was quite lovely. I had a sea bass and my husband enjoyed the steak and the fries. They gave us really yummy complimentary dessert for our special little celebration. The place is good for couples so as for groups.

Boisterous Latino brunching anyone? - La Parilla at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel

So that’s the thing about reviews…they build your expectations up so much that once you actually visit the place you feel that the universe is conspiring against you making you feel as the lonely soul who thinks that everything isn’t as great as you expected.

For details on the Latino brunch

Wow, what a view... I went to La Parrilla, for a birthday brunch, it's a fine dining restaurant, with a tremendous view of Dubai... As you would expect from a restaurant in the Jumeirah beach hotel, the food was excellent, at first I didn't think there would be enough, but in the end it was just about the right amount. The entertainment was good, a live band played typical Latin music and every half an hour a dance act entertained us... It was a set menu for brunch, and with the use of entertainer vouchers the price was a bargain. The service wss also excellent, definitely worth going if you have a voucher...
F.timucin.engin
This might be the best steakhouse in dubai. Really great cuts, good wine choices and you can use the entertainer. I also like the great view from the hotel.

When you feel like enjoying a fine flame-grilled steak with a view of the Arabian Gulf, live music, tango dancers, and a bit Latin flair, you probably already know to head to the 25th floor of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. La Parrilla has been around for years and is a popular steakhouse for residents and tourists alike. They already have their Friday brunch and a Sunday Butcher’s Night, but they’ve recently launched a new offer for late night diners who want great food and good value. So from 9:30pm until last orders at 11:30pm every evening, you can now take advantage of the new Buenas Noches set menu – and enjoy the live entertainment.

The first impression is very good!
The service and the balcony view is perfect! You can find here an amazing perspective of burj al Arab.
The food quality is good we had a Argentinean beef.
It's overpriced!
They have live music with dancers!
Absolutely loved this place! Tried out the Friday brunch and was blown away by everything - the food, drinks, service, ambience, entertainment, everything! Excellent place for a date. Highly recommend. Will definitely be returning.

Alright, the Argentinian steak is one of the best steaks in Dubai, my fav choices are tenderloin & wagyu. The traditional latin american ambiance will make you "quantanamero" while you enjoy on the food & drinks. Good for couples, she'll enjoy it, just don't stare at the dancer much ;) oh the way she spins.
P.s. Pomelo Passion

La Parrilla is an Argentinean fine dining restaurant in Jumeirah Beach Hotel. I believe it's been around for years. Beautiful views of the Burj Al Arab from the restaurant. Staff is very attentive, courteous and friendly. Regarding the food, we ordered empanadas for appetizers which was good! Lomo Argentinean steak (I'm not a steak lover but I must admit the steak was cooked perfectly!) and churros for dessert (also quite nice). But what made our experience amazing was the live band and the Latino dancers. Absolutely brilliant and so entertaining. Couldn't take our eyes off them!! Overall a good experience :)
We Love Food
The Argentinian restaurant in JBH offers a beautiful view of the Burj al Arab and the Jumeirah beach. Located on the 25th floor of the hotel, it has a chic & classic look with white table cloths and calf skin chairs. The entertainment is fantastic with live music band and Latino dancers, however, the food is just average. my favorite were the jalapeño dish and mashed potatoes with truffle oil which came with a very nice variety of meat and seafood? Wewere impressed with the service though, they have friendly, attentive staff.

Jen Sahi @dxbfooddiaries
It's been a long time since I've been to La Parrilla. I went there this evening for a special occasion and I thoroughly enjoyed my evening there. Let's start from the beginning. The bread was great. Two varieties, both warm and crusty, with a slightly sweet whipped butter that was so moreish. But starters were a big disappointing. We ordered two empanadas to share plus an order each of seafood croquettes and bunuelos. The croquettes and bunuelos were only lukewarm. The dough of the empanadas was too bready and dry. None of the starters were very impressive.

But when the steak arrived, I forgot about everything else. My 250 gram grass-fed Argentinian tenderloin was absolutely delicious. It was perfectly blue and cut like butter. It's been a long time since I've had a steak so tender. For sides, the asparagus was delicious. The spinach with pinenuts and raisins was also quite good. The fries were not to my liking. More like wedges, not so crunchy. I've had much better fries at other steakhouses.

We almost passed on desserts but at the last minute decided to share an order of churros. Though it was dear at AED75, it was the perfect sweet treat. It came with a scoop of delicious salted caramel ice cream, a splodge of lemon cream (that didn't quite seem to go but was tasty anyway!), and a bowl of thick foamy chocolate.

Add to this fantastic Latin live music and upbeat ballroom dancers performing every 30 minutes and it was really a perfect evening, despite the mediocre appetisers and so-so fries. It's even better value with an Entertainer coupon. Great for a special occasion, especially if you hit Uptown Bar before or after. I will definitely be back.
Zak
I've eaten here previously and so the GF and I decided to take two guests here the other night.

Disappointed and underwhelmed are the best words to describe the whole thing. We won't be returning as there are so many other, better steak restaurants in Dubai.

First up, the service was dreadful. The waiters took an absolute age to take our drinks order, let alone the food order, despite me asking for service. In a restaurant that charges this much, that's unacceptable.

Secondly, the food. All the steaks we ordered were underdone. By this time we were too hungry to bother complaining, as it had taken ages to even get our food...

The sides were bland, the chips were lukewarm.

On balance, my sorbet at the end was great - piña colada flavour and a scoop of mango, but to be fair, sorbet is not exactly complex.

Lastly the decor and entertainment. I get the idea of it being styled in a 'rustic' manner, but honestly, it looks dated, tired and a bit like an elderly relatives front room.

The entertainment is intrusive rather than fun. It's garish, it's irritating and I was glad when they stopped for breaks.

For the money and considering the competition in Dubai, this place is trading on former glories and I think only impresses tourists.

I was taken here on a birthday surprise and it was an excellent experience. It had a wonderful atmosphere with dancers and live music that is played at a level that ensures it is heard, but remains in the background so you can a have a conversation without raising your voice at all. We had requested a table by the window to overlook the Burj Al Arab, but they were all taken at the time however they gave us a seat once it opened up just after we had the appetizers. The tapas were varied and quite tasty, but the real showstopper was the 300g of wagyu tenderloin cooked to a perfect medium well. I'm a big lover of steak, and of all my years of having some delicious cuts of beef, this one genuinely ranks as one of the very best I've ever had. Absolutely superb. They brought out a berry cheesecake as a surprise birthday desert and even that was very well done. Highly recommended!

We went in last Valentin for dinner where they had a life Caribbean music and dance as well as 3 course set menu.... I liked their steak which was made to perfection the desserts as well so good... I would advice the place for dinner especially in Valentino Day
Geordie Armani
We arrived at the restaurant at 12.30 to find some early birders enjoying chilled glasses of Prosecco in the cocktail area. We rarely drink alcohol during the day, our hostess suggested we try some virgin mohito’s, good choice. There is no buffet to wade through, torturing yourself over what to fill your plate up with or regretting picking another dish, at La Parrilla you get to experience a cross selection of their entire menu. Each course is served tapas style to your table, you can then decide if you want more of a particular dish or not.

The Los Entrantes section we were served heurvos pericos; soft poached eggs, hogao vegetables, merken hollandaise with potato straws, fabulous dish the eggs were cooked perfectly. The arepa; pulled beef rib and with Panca BBQ Sauce and avocado served on arepa bread was amazing, the beef was so tender it just fell to pieces. There were three other starter dishes that came out of the kitchen, each as fabulous as the other but we were waiting for the main course.

The El Principal main course aptly named La Parillada was a platter of beef, lamb, chicken and seafood from the grill. Chef brought a hot plate from the kitchen so that we could, if we wanted, cook our food for longer. I wouldn’t insult the Chef, all the meat was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Again the beef was absolutely outstanding. The side-dishes including fries, truffle mash, grilled vegetables with salsa, and Brazilian style smoked plantain along with a summer salad, were perfect accompaniments. Chef was back at the table asking if we wanted more!

When u go to a restaurant in a 5 stars hotel u expect alot more; food is less than regular service is average. The funny thing when u call to book they barely find a table for u and when u arrive you barely find 5 booked tables

The food and the atmosphere was amazing! Been there twice and loved it both times. Definitely going again.
Service was friendly and our table had an amazing view of the Burj!

La parrilla is a great South American experience. Not just food everything is great here. The ambience, service, the show all very good.
Starter was habana style prawn fritter (4/5) it was excellent. For Main course I had a very good chicken with sauce & Brazil nuts (4/5)
Dessert was Churros & chocolate(4.5/5) The chocolate was a mix of dark & white chocolate.
Service was every bit attentive that is expected of a five star Restaraunt.
The entertainment was a very lively band & two very talented salsa dancers.
We will definitely visit again. Hopefully soon

Hello to all our followers and loyal blog – post – readers out there! Hungry yet? You might be, in a little while after reading about our latest dining adventure.

Did you ever wonder where one could enjoy the best steak in town? We tried multiple restaurants within the last couple of years and were never quite excited to write about tenderloins or spinach, but the actual service. This week we would like to share our latest discovery with you – La Parilla, at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai.

La Parilla is a meat lovers’ paradise. The restaurant offers an alternative dining destination for quality cooking set on the 25th floor of the hotel. With a name that literally means ‘The Grill’, La Parrilla, exudes burning meats and Latin American style in all possible styles one can imagine. From the food to the vine, from the service to the live dancing performance and the cool vibes from the live band. La Parilla is a “must visit” and a “must taste” venue. From the arrival to our departure the service team at La Parilla took great care of us. As we had a big night out planned for our family and friends from overseas we were about 10 guests – a combination of kids and adults. Once we sat down, two waiters came along to take up our aperitifs order as well as to hand out menus to all of us. They recommended us a couple of starters and mains – especially for the kids – and poured still and sparkling water in each glass.

While looking through the menu, the live band started to perform. It was a great mixture of Latin American vibes and the scent of perfectly grilled meat in the air and we could not wait to taste what we ordered. Salads and tapas for starters and 10 different kinds of steaks with sides for our mains. Angus beef tenderloin, rib eyes, Wagyu beef medium – rare; it was a meat fest. Regardless of the type of meat or the cooking time, all our steaks were heavenly. Grilled to perfection, tender and juicy – oh, it was a true delight. The sides such as spinach, salad or steak fries were literately needless, as the taste of the meat itself was great as it was.

IMG_20150405_100635 (2)

The service was quick, attentive and friendly; the food tasted amazing. The highlight however was the dance performance by a young couple, dressed up in super tight leggings and colourful jackets. They "swinged along" to the up – beat music played by the band, "shacked themselves off" and reflected nothing less but laughter and happiness.

In fact, their dance performance was so good, that it had a contiguous impact on several guests who started spreading out on the dance floor once the couple left the stage.

La Parrilla is definitely not one of the most affordable places to dine at (about 700 AED for two), however worth a visit, for those who believe that a great evening is more than just tasty food – it is the actual combination of the chefs’ creations, the entertainment and the attentive service of young individuals who love working in the hospitality industry.

You should give it a try - and take along your Salsa shoes.

Happy dancing,

SE

Good setting, good service but mediocre food. In order to achieve Value for Money La Parilla require some major work to be done.
The restaurant was only busy from 7:30 to 9:30pm simply proving that the venue does the majority of his business with hotel guests.
Comfort zone? Get out, competition is tough!

I was really disappointed with the brunch at this place because it consisted ENTIRELY of seafood the time when I went a few months back. This sux for us sistahs that do not fux with creatures from the sea. Anyways I only ate bread and the drinks were pretty crap to. The only good thing was that this place had a phenomenal view. My friends family invited me so obviously they did not let me pay for the meal. If I had payed on the other hand I would still be mourning the loss of my 4-500 dhs.

My second visit. The first wasn't a good experience at all in terms of the service. However, this time was excellent. Food and service were brilliant and the steak was cooked beautifully. The only let down was that on our arrival they didn't have our booking information and had to ask to see our email confirmation. After some fumbling around, the evening continued as expected from such a lovely restaurant.

If there's anything going for this restaurant, it's the location...

Overlooking the infamous Burj Al Arab, the prices seem almost justified just for the view. There isn't much else to write about... The decor doesn't wow you and nor does the food.

The service is impeccable, as one would expect at any five star restaurant. The server explained the different cuts and the difference between your the Aussie and Argentinian meats. They did keep trying to push the other meats instead of the Argentinian steaks and that was a surprise, given that this is a Latin-American restaurant.

We ordered the Lomo and the Ojo de bief and the meat was the centre of it all... there wasn't much else on the plate in terms of presentation. We had asked for our steaks medium and ended up getting them medium well to well in some parts. The hostess did ask if we wanted them replaced but we couldn't be bothered as we were dining with my 18 month old son and the restaurant has a policy to not allow children after 9PM.

The meat wasn't great itself and it wasn't seasoned well either... All in all the food wasn't anything to write home about. Given the mains we didn't bother with any dessert... Although the elderly couple at the next table did order their speciality that looked like mini donuts hanging on a chocolate tree with a dry ice smokey effect at the bottom.. All fancy ... But I wouldn't know how it tasted.

In a market like Dubai where everything is over the top, La Parrilla is just another steak house, and if it wants to stand apart from the others it does need to shape up so that it can take on the real meat lovers paradises like Gaucho!

Despite recent changes in menu (the new empanadas are a disappointing change) and service, La Parrilla remains one of the finest choices for a night of food and entertainment. The dancers are a delight to watch as they whirl about the floor, and the music is a perfect and unobtrusive background to the evening. Be sure to step out onto the balcony liking toward Bur Dubai and enjoy the scenic view. Then go back in and enjoy a lomo cooked to perfection.

From the time we entered, until we left, we enjoyed the experience thoroughly. The ambience was great, with a live Spanish band singing and playing Spanish songs. Accompanied by a couple dancing salsa. Was great to watch! The food was great, tried the jumbo prawns that were cooked perfectly and was very filling. My husband ordered steak, which he lied but was too filling to finish. The service was amazing since the waiters were very friendly and helpful. Great place for a relaxed cozy romantic dinner.

The views are amazing. The wine list is good. And the food? The steaks are really good - and if you're able to pick good cuts of meat and also how it should be done - we're talking absolutely fabulous. Expensive but good food done well

Great Food I must say. I had the 'Platos de Espada - Flambeéd at your table' and it was excellent. Good selection of tapas and starters - and all were very good. Didn't get to see a lot of the dance performance from where we were seated, next time must remember to ask for a table closer to the dancers.

Being a Friday night the restaurant was very crowded and noisy including families with young children etc. - so it was by no means the 'classy' atmosphere we expected. The seating is also a bit crammed.

Yes we will go back for those great steaks, perhaps on a quieter day!

My wife and I dine out every week, we try to sample different cuisines and different restaurants. We return to only a handful. La Parilla is one of these handful. With delicious and succulent cuts of meat, a breathtaking view of Burj Al Arab and very entertaining live music/performance, La Parilla is truly a restaurant to remember. Add to this the extremely friendly staff, you would be challenged to find another place as enjoyable. As you would expect from such a luxurious hotel, the price of your meal wont be cheap, where the average price per person tops AED400 for a 3 course meal (not including wine).

Our favorites include the delicious empanadas and the angus steak. Finish your meal off with the traditional Churros for a truly authentic Argentinian experience.

Average wagyu was overpriced and widely over rated in other review.
Lomo filet was good but nothing special.
Wine overpriced too imho.
Meat 7/10
Empanadas 7/10
Bread 6/10
Fries 6/10
Mashed potato 8/10
Dessert churros forest 6.5/10
Service 6/10
Location 7/10 (nice view, bad decor)
1600 dirhams for two people with a bottle of prosecco was too much for an average meat dinner.
Manhattan grill was way better, for example.

Having visited this restaurant approx. 3 years ago & after having what can only be described as an awful experience in terms of food quality and service we were indeed quite sceptical on this special occasion (my wife's birthday) but felt we had to give it a second chance after it's recent awards for best Latin American Restaurant.
I can now say categorically we were not to be disappointed!
From the greeting on entering the restaurant to the farewell on leaving, we felt as though we were indeed special guests!
The setting and layout is quite nice with a warm ambiance. The floor show with musicians was an entertaining addition that kept the mood high. This made a refreshing change to the usual "chat above the piped music" norm that is fine dining.
We were a group of 5 and after being escorted to our table by a happy smiling hostess, we were introduced to our waiter for the evening, Octavian. He was near faultless. He was friendly without being intrusive but was very professional and more importantly informative, (he knew his onions)!
He helped us with our choices for a "tapas" of shared starters and our excellent steaks. There was hardly a morsel left on our plates when we had finished. Those familiar with the Argentinian way of cooking/serving steak will know how thick they are; I asked for my steak to be cooked medium and my knife cut through it like butter!
The choice of wine was not over the top so it didn't take long for us to agree which we would like.
We all agreed it was a very good choice of venue and were impressed with everything including the attentiveness.
For anyone wanting a complete night out in this area we can recommend starting at Uptown bar which is on the 24th floor of JBH, La Parilla is on the 25th floor. If you want to extend your night's enjoyment after your meal then we can certainly recommend 360 bar (house/lounge music); Though a word to the wise; take your receipt along as you may be refused entry without it; we were asked twice for ours!
All in all a very enjoyable night from start to finish.

When people think of Latin American cuisine, they immediately think of a menu full of meat options, but La Parilla serves much more than just steak. Located on the 25th floor of the hotel, the restaurant - which won the Best Latin American category at the 2011 BBC Good Food ME Awards - boasts glamorous interiors with white tables and leather chairs covered in faux cowhide. Sat at a table with gorgeous views overlooking the popular 360 bar and marina, I chose the crispy soft shell crab served with shrimp tartare topped with passion fruit sauce, to start with. I particularly liked the crispy tempura crab, which was devoured in seconds, while taking a little more time with the tartare, which was fresh and flavourful. My partner chose the spicy cheese fondue, which was delicious served warm, with breadsticks to dip in with.

For mains, we both decided to go down the meat route and chose the 400g Ojio de beef Argentinean steak, which was highly recommended by the chef. The steak was melt-in-the-mouth succulent, pairing perfectly with the mushroom and béarnaise sauce. For sides, we chose cassava fries - made of tapioca - that added an authentic touch to our meal.

We were undecided about dessert, until the chef wowed us with a beautiful Churro tree concoction - churros and berries with coconut foam, chocolate and strawberry dipping sauces, and dry ice on the bottom to resemble a foggy Amazonian forest. We also tried the Espuma - a warm white and milk chocolate dessert combination, which is a must try for all chocoholics.

This review was contributed by BBC Good Food ME (www.bbcgoodfoodme.com) and featured in their October 2012 issue.

In the middle of all kinds of other fine dine restaurant is this South American fine dining restaurant on the 25th floor of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, with a fantastic view of the Burj Al Arab. The ambience and interiors add to the entire feel of the place. Even the ambience and the dedicated service is what will really impress you. For example, the steak is carved at your table as per your specifications and is quite different from the regular steaks that you would try at any other restaurant. A bit expensive on your pocket, but is definitely a good try atleast once if you want to try something interesting in Dubai.
