So i had the opportunity to tryout slab it is a contemporary peruvian cuisine , after getting recommendations from some Freinds, iwe tries multiple dishes, and to be fair all of them tasted really well! I luved how the flavours gave a full heartly and tangy flavour mixed! Moreover all dishes was served quite fast! Wich is a plus on their part. A Recommended place.

The seasonal menu has creative and interesting dishes that keep me coming back. The dessert is also phenomenal. The insanity pie is possibly the best pie that I have ever tried.

A true gem. This restaurant keeps a “seasonal menu” concept, meaning that the menu is constantly changing and ingredients are used according to season. I keep going back multiple times and never was I disappointed! During my last visit I had their weekend menu and was blown away by the quality and flavor yet again. Their ceviche calamari was just layers of texture and flavor. We also ordered the steak donburi which is a take on the Japanese rice bowl but done with a south american twist, the meat was pink and cooked perfectly. The crowd pleaser was the shrimp ceviche tostada (which is also in-house made). We ended it with the most anticipatory dish, the coconut tres leches, light and not too sweet and tastes like summer. You can really tell the food is cooked with love and passion in this place and with attention to detail.

Slab is an experimental seasonal kitchen by chef @cocina.rodriguez with a different Menu every 3 months 🥳 We tried the Summer Menu, everything tasted so unique specially the watermelon 🍉 salad with feta- I’m definitely gonna try it out at home- so so refreshing for Summers! Another dish we loved was the Spicy Noodles- it tasted so different & so so delicious, trust me we emptied it totally 😁 And ofcourse a special mention to the pleasant staffs who took care of my daughter , brought in colors to keep her engaged, she was given a Kids Menu to choose from & she loved the idea of choosing the dishes herself & enjoyed her Meal with cute cutleries too. So overall we had a great experience 🤩 There’s a parking very close to Slab entrance so you don’t have to worry much about walking under the ☀️ & the visit is gonna be totally worth it trust me, make sure to try out their Passionfruit Mojito 🍹

We have just visited Slab for dinner. It’s located in La Mer, a popular beach and cafe & restaurant area in Jumeirah 1. We tried their classic dishes. The solmon fish, chicken wings and spicy noodles. All three courses were very delicious. Staff were incredibly kind and friendly. You can also avail Zomato’s 1+1 offer. All in all, great food, highly recommended.

Fantastic food - main menu items and iftar menu. Outstanding iftar sharing menu. You have to try this before Ramadan ends (make sure you bring someone to share this with)! What a feast. Customer service is also highly commendable - you will feel welcome and well accommodated here.

Iftar menu review:
*Amouse bouche (bacon wrapped dates / tahini / date syrup) - it's an unusual combination. Salty and sweet with cold soft texture.
*Bread with green pea hummus - very tasty. Best hummus I've ever had (I now prefer this over every chickpea hummus I liked).
*Lentil soup - tastes okay I guess. Not too savory, not bland either. First time I've ever tried this so I can't say if it's better than any other.
*Broccoli cous cous (black quinoa / pistachios / preserved lemon / mint / yogurt) - gotta mix up the ingredients well to get the best out of this. It came with a crunchy biscuit like topping which we crushed and mixed into the dish itself. The result was fantastic! Refreshing to the palate. It's like eating a yogurt based salad, bland with hints of saltiness but most of all you feel the freshness of the dish itself.
*Kale salad - so many people commend this already. I could not agree more.
*Lahm ajeen - not really a fan of this dish because it's so savory that I feel like drinking water / having some salad after every bite. Not a bad thing for people who are into condense flavors.
*Slab's lamb and rice - By this time I was already nearing full tank but still I had to have this. The rice and lamb eaten together with yogurt created a perfect balance of taste.
*Insanity pie - really good dessert - sweet coupled with the slightly sour yougurt ice cream.
What a great surprise we got. The place is lovely with nice view on what's happening in the kitchen which is so organized and spotless btw (i would lower a tiny bit the background sound tho).
Staff is nice and attentive but not over friendly nor invasive which is great.
Iftar menu was delicious and subtle. It was a great change from usual basic iftar mezza. We just believed there was an over use of pomegranate sauce in every dishes which make them taste a bit similar every time and wasting the use of other spices.
It would have been nice to lesser the service speed as well. Dishes were coming to fast one after another so we asked to wait prior bringing the main dish but it didn't got respected.
Will definitely come back on a la carte season to try other delicacies

The place to go for a casual dinner in La Mer if you are looking for tasty, high quality and well-presented food. We loved the set menu iftar because it includes many dishes in small portions, all characterized by very original combinations of flavors (I loved the green pea hummus and the insanity tart). Fairly priced at AED125 per person, but we had to pay extra for water. Very attentive service, chic and minimal decor. Definitely worth a try if you are in La Mer!

Amazing food, small portions. We got the purevian shrimp and grilled beef tataki. Both dishes were equally amazing. The only low point is the portions, they don't ve side dishes and you won't survive if you are really hungry, other than that a must try.

Great food! I’ll definitely come back for the Beef Tataki. The idea of the menu is more about concept and creativity and less about a hearty, generous meal. The menu is designed and crafted with care, keeping in mind the foodies who appreciate quality food. We ordered 6 dishes between 3 of us and it was just right (you know that feeling when you’re not stuffed but happy? ;)). The portions are small so it might work out expensive. Good news is that they’re on Entertainer.
Service was fast, staff attentive and very accommodating to young children (appreciated them promptly decluttering the table everytime we finished a plate). Food quality & taste was great, but would love slightly bigger portion sizes. Would return.

SLAB was on my proverbial bucket list for some time. Foodie friends passed through with strong reviews and endorsements that it’s a solid addition to the phalanx of eateries stretching across the beachside restaurant and shopping strip that is La Mer. Finally made it here for a quick breakfast out stop so this review doesn’t take into account some of the more impressive lunch and dinner options I caught a glimpse of on the menu.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- THE SHAKSHUKA. Cooked and presented with finesse. It’s one of the best shakshukas I’ve had the pleasure of eating in Dubai. The sauce achieves a subtle measure of signature spice in a mellow sauce not over cooked with the bite of soft onions and sweet tomatoes. Three poached eggs a Lee cooked to a soft smooth yolk that keeps a custard-like smooth texture that enriched the scarlet tomato based sauce to soothe the spice further. The three eggs are poaching perfection making this a rich and filling dish. The slices of grilled buttered toast make the dish that much more filling providing sponges to soak up the delicious tomato sauce brightened with a touch of olive oil. This is the shakshuka by which others will be judged in Dubai. How could it be improved? Offer the option of halloumi or melting feta. But it doesn’t need it.
- THE SERVICE. Sharp, approachable, friendly, organised and charming without being intrusive.
I would gladly come back here for lunch or dinner with pleasure!
Never judge a book by its cover. Or in this case, a restaurant by your first visit. Although Dubai restaurants do lack consistency my second visit to SLAB is one that I’ll remember most and will also make me want to return. Don’t get me wrong, I know sometimes people have off days, or ingredients don’t arrive, or whatever the case may be so when the owner of the restaurant invited me back I willingly accepted, ready to give such a highly regarded restaurant amongst my local foodie friends, a second chance.
Food was yummy , service was prompt . The general ambience was easygoing but once you are in La Mer all enjoy the soothing breeze . Although was surprised why the restaurant was not having guests , that could be becoz of limited options in menu .
Lunch today was wonderful. The kale salad was tart and delicious, the Korean chicken wings were crunchy and spicy and the salmon with yuzu foam did not disappoint! We also had something off the breakfast menu - the butter toast - for dessert. Really pleased the kitchen obliged. Service is friendly and unobtrusive - just perfect.
slab must be my favorite place to go to in La mer! Surrounded by other typical cliche restaurants, Slab stands out like a star. From the food quality/freshness to the flavor of each dish seems like you are sitting in a high end dine in. We loved everything we ordered, but the kale salad and the fried chicken sandwich (secret menu dish) stood our for us! Cant wait to go back again and try the rest the menu

Delicious breakfast and great service. We had the ricotta with jam on a toasted brioche and Greek yoghurt with honey both were delicious. We really enjoyed the food and for sure we will try their lunch or dinner soon.
Slab - hands down the best restaurant at La Mer. Focusing on quality ingredients and fresh produce, their seasonal menu changes every 3 months.
The Wild Mushroom Risotto with Parmesan Foam was top notch.
Not too heavy, beautifully textured and packed with great flavours.
The Chipotle Butter Shrimp with Coriander and Lime was incredibly moreish. It was served with a crusty Sourdough bread to mop up the delicious crustacean sauce.
Insanity Pie - as the name suggests, this was insanely good. A cookie base with a milk toffee sugar filling. The yogurt based sour cream ice cream cut through the sweetness of the pie. Such a well balanced dessert.
Will definitely go back for more of their yummy food!

Visited this place last night for dinner , looking at the menu ordered for the above mentioned dishes and drinks , all of them were freshly prepared and served to me within 15-20 mins of time which is fair enough . The food is good , infact really good & the best part about this place is that it keeps changing every 3 months .

I would highly recommend the cod amazonico, spicy tuna, salon nikkei and the charred broccoli, alongside the carrot apple cooler. Slab has such a great ambience! Additonally, their employees are well-versed with each dish and their ingredients. Can't wait to go back!
Fantastic food, bright modern design, veggie-centric- creative-flavors menu from a super talented Peruvian chef. We went for the first time today and were pleasantly surprised at the amazing sharing plates - the crispy Brussels sprouts, the Korean fried chicken and the Szechuan noodles were 👍🏼 The desserts (there are only three) were also delicious. This place is a La Mer Must!

Went there with my sister in law and our kids. Food was nothing much since they didn't have a half of things from menu. I liked spicy noodles which was recommended by our host from Bosnia. Sabrina was taking good care about us and our kids. If you have a great service then food don't matter that much.While she was entertaining kids we could enjoy our food and conversation. You will not find this anywhere for Assistant Manager to do this things or even from a servers. While there are many dining options in La Mer, Slab is definitely one of the hidden gems in the whole area. Slab is a casual dining restaurant that serves moderate to upscale food in terms of presentation, taste and price. The chef makes the best dish possible out of everyday ingredients and the results were surprisingly nice. I was impressed to the point where I was wondering if I was in a restaurant at La Mer or if I was at a five star hotel.
Fantastic experience, starting from the beginning untill we left the venue. Food was great except that chef could improve the quality of Burger, I've felt that meat was little bit dry. Our host Sabina explained us menu and gave a recommendation for Kale salad and Roast beef which were amazing. We didn't want to mention the issue with the burger to our host, because she was above the expectation regarding the service and professionalism which is really rare in Dubai.
Thank you Sabina once again, and expect us soon again, just this time in a much bigger company.

We recently visited Slab at La Mer beach. It was one of the best brunch i had in recent times. What a great thought process behind each and every dish, absolutely loved the experience. Fusion of healthy food without compromising the taste. Elegant decor and unpretentious food is what i was impressed with the most.
I got an opportunity to try some of the bestsellers from their summer menu. First up was WATERMELON and Feta Cheese salad. Perfect amount of feta cheese and simple dressing. It was delicious. CHARRED CORN off the cob topped with mayo, parmesan and butter was served next on our table. Looked and tasted just amazing. KALE salad was the best I had till now, tangy and yet so flavorful. Loved every bite of it.
Next up was KING PRAWNS. It was served in a delicious chipotle butter, cilantro and citrus sauce, just dip the bread given along with it and enjoy. KFC which is kung pao fried chicken wings is burst of flavors in every bite you take. SPICY NOODLES which had minced schezuan chicken was also also a power packed and wholesome dish, loved the flavors.
The best part about the afternoon was the desserts. It exceeded my expectations in all sense. TRES LECHES was amazing, topped with seasonal fruits and cream, every bite is yuuummmmm. TIRAMISU was simple and delectable. Loved the HONEY CHILI BUTTER CHIPS which was a combination of sweet icecream and spicy crispy chips. Overall I had superb experience at Slab. Highly recommend each and everyone.
Slab – Recently I tried Slab and I had refreshing and absolutely innovative experience. What a great thought process behind each and every dish, absolutely loved the experience. Every now and then I kick myself (hard!) for not going somewhere sooner. I had heard rave review after rave review about Slab but somehow the past 6 months has just managed to get away from me. However last weekend I made it. FINALLY. And boy oh boy am I glad it did. Slab is the brain child of banker-come-restaurateur Fadi Al-Said who based the concept on his culinary experiences from around the world. With Chef Omar Rodriguez at the helm and a keen focus on quality ingredients, incredible cooking techniques, a seasonal menu and healthy eating at its core what’s not to love?
We visited Slab for breakfast after being tempted by their insta posts.... reality is not quite the same. Although it looks like something I whipped up at home, the bacon egg and cheese wrap (made into a sandwich as they were out of brioche buns) tasted great. But one thing I have to say fake cheese, seriously? For that I am giving 4 stars only.
Believe they are still new to the game, hence we were the only people in the restaurant.

We have to say, Slab is a must try! The food was excellent - we had the spicy noodles, king prawns, KFC, charred corn, kale salad, honey chili butter chips, all of which were excellent. Moreover, the service by the friendly staff, especially Carolin was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back to Slab soon.

Love the concept of serving only sharing dishes. All dishes are delicious and creatively served. I would recommend the Broccoli Couscous, the Watermelon, the Kale and the Charred Corn.

A unique addition to La Mer’s already existing list of casual diners, Slab at the waterfront is a must-try. Boasting of an international, evolving menu inspired by all corners of the world, their main aim is to introduce seasonal dishes that celebrate the freshest produce of the season combined with unique international flavors. The decor is simple, minimalistic with shades of white and grey. The restaurant has an indoor and patio setting with an open kitchen where you can interact with the chef and see your food being made. Every dish is well-plated, almost like a piece of art that gives you a fine-dining vibe in a casual, relaxed setting.
The food was really good. It’s not like those other mayo on all the plates and everything tastes the same kind of place. We were serviced by Elizabeth who was a doll and her recommendations were on point. We tried the king prawns, chicken wings, the tomato heirloom and sooo much more stuff on their menu. Plus the Resturant is right next to the parking so shorter walk in the summer heat 👏🏼
