Unbelievable! My friend and I decided on a Sunday evening out at The Met and chose Don Corleone for the unlimited wine selections for just AED 199 the two of us. The Italian wines are a great selection and suited our individual taste. What an incredible bargain - we enjoyed vegetarian pizza and traditional Italian salad to wash it all down and thoroughly enjoyed a good night with a more than reasonable tab at the end! I highly recommend you give the Italian Vineyard Experience a try!

Staff are nice and helpful but, when it was in the old red lion it seemed to be nicer food and a nicer atmosphere. Food was okay nothing wow. Not one Italian person in there though. Shame really !!

It’s always been a pleasure to be here. The food is amazing I shall say an exceptional service provided by staff especially Mr Rahmat. I would definitely recommend this place for its yummy food, amazing ambience and exceptional service.

We celebrated our 12th anniversary here and it was an amazing experience. Great food and ambience :)

Awesome service!

The service was very good. Our server was attentive to our request. They took good care and played with my little one. The manager approached the table with a big smile and he was very polite. Recommended

One of the best italian restaurants in Dubai. The service is exceptional, small details that show how much the staff really cares. The food is a must try especially the Pizza Buffalina and the Al Funghi pasta.

The place is good , casual dining and the staff polite and efficient

The food is quite good and Upto expected standards .

A guide to the management - Do the grooming check / if needed c stafff uniforms / or freshen up

BO isn’t expected in outlet like this .

The rest is quite good .
Ashok Balasubramanian
One of our favorites for comfort yet authentic Italian food. Lots of veggies options too for me . The quality has been so consistent over the last 3 years that we’ve been coming here . All in all a fantastic experience ! Rahmat, Leslie and staff are all very polite

Super average food. Don't worth any dirham. The bread basket is cheapest old bread. Pasta absolutely tasteless. Wouldn't recommend anyone to visit. Only plus point is the nice staff.
Omar Abu Omar
Great food and very friendly and attentive service. Tried the stuffed chicken and it was excellent. They also have a great business lunch offer on weekdays

BEST TIRAMISU IN TOWN!
The atmosphere of the room is a bit dull they should had move the front wall inside to make a nice terrace like in the old location or just build an inside garden. The rest is excellent- super friendly service, the tortellini are superb and again best Tiramisu in town!! It’s just made the right traditional Tiramisu! Great surprise at the end!
Scarlet 93
Tried pasta and pizza there. The taste is avergae, nothing impressive. However, the staff were super polite and friendly. The restaurant has a nice view on Sheikh Zayed road and was quite before dark when it started getting busier.
Healthy Roots
The atmosphere is great and the food is quite amazing. The menu is abundant with different special Italian dishes. Great place for families, or a date or business lunch. The staff are a bit over friendly and will jump to ask if everything is alright every 2 minutes so just be warey of that.

WHAT AN AMAZING PLACE...

We had gone for a family celebration to this restaurant... Located on the mezzanine floor of the Metropolitan Hotel, this place gets a big tick mark in all areas of hospitality..

The décor of the restaurant is simple and sophisticated. What surprised me was how empty the place was on the weekend -but it worked to our advantage... All the staff are warm and welcoming without being too intrusive.

While having our drinks, the warm bread basket served with tapenade (chopped black olives with olive oil and pepper) and chopped tomatoes with basil and olive oil - both the dips were excellent... The mix berry mojito was also blended well and made for a refreshing drink..

We ordered the Ravioli al Fresco and the Pizza al Legumi - both were excellent - they even replaced the eggplant with broccoli on the pizza - the freshness of the pizza can be gauged by the fact that the crust could be taken off and eaten on its own. It wasn't chewy or stretchy...

The complimentary Tiramisu and a birthday card signed by all the staff to celebrate our special day was a topping at the end of a great meal.

The prices are the standard 5 star, but they have great offers and deals (on Zomato gold or using certain credit cards) - service was excellent especially our server Kasun. Parking is again not an issue with the valet offering complimentary services

This place is a hidden gem and if you are having a celebration, plan it here ...
Suzanna Varghese
Went there with great expectations but we were disappointed. All the pastas came in a creamy paste which tasted like cooked flour. The staff was friendly and that was the only plus here

Follow me on Insta @surenrajamohan

Fine Italian restaurant. Lovely ambiance and delicious Italian treat. A place for good times and celebrations. The service staff are very polite. Great experience.

Don Corleone is such an iconic cult figure which has captured the hearts of millions, many leave that name untouched in all its awe. Taking that name and creating an interesting restaurant, takes guts and boldness. Come to Metropolitan Hotel on Shk Zayed road and you can peacefully relive those amazing moments and experience at the famed Don Corleone restaurant.

1. Fast & Efficient service: 4/5 (the service was good)
2. Quality of food: 3/5 ( the complementary bread was good, the calamari and shrimps were average, yet the pasta wasn’t soft and the sauce was heavy)
3. Cleanliness/space: 3/5 (the place is clean and neat yet very basic)
4. Price: 3/5 ( the price is on the high range but they accept Zomato gold, entertainer voucher and esaad card)
Zomato gold)

Nice Italian joint. Their pastas very lovely and very authentic. We also tried their house wine both the red and the white and they were pretty good. The closing desert we tried the Tiramisu and the choco lava cake(can’t seem to recall the exact name), both were simply amazing.

With regards to the ambience it’s well spaced and comfortable. They have a bar counter separate from the dining area which helps to keep the vibe of the dining area. They have free valet parking too which is a bonus!

Celebrated my sons birthday here. Super courteous staff , tasty Italian food , very comfortable ambience..we had a wonderful experience and will always recommend.

Ambience: a sweet little place in metropolitan hotel. They also provide valet service and stamp your card when leaving. I loved the interiors and the whole vibe of the place! They played italian music and it was very pleasant, not too loud so you can have a conversation without having to talk louder. The view is a bonus, as it faces the szr. You get a good view while dining! Perfect for a romantic date ✨

Service: the staff is so friendly! They're very professional as well. They served the starter first and waited until we we're finished, then served the main course, which I really appreciated as some places give everything all at once. As I wanted my pasta to be a little spicy, they gave chilli flakes on the side and 2 very cute bottles of tabasco 😍 They're so welcoming! Honestly the best service I've seen so far ❤️

Food: the food was great as well! They have complimentary bread with tomato and olive tapenade They're all really good! The best I've had so far🥰
We got a penne arrabbiata from the choose your own pasta: it was actually very good. The sauce was up to standard and the quantity was good too!
Burrata: was surprisingly good! The pesto made it very yummy 😍 also it's freshly made everyday 💛
Ravioli: the sauce was very rich and creamy and tasted superb! The only problem with this was, we felt the quantity was a little less compared to the arrabbiata.
We got an offer on the main course (2 for 1) from the entertainer app. So considering that, the prices were okay and the food was good. But if we didn't have that then maybe the ravioli might be a little overpriced for the price.

Side note: they also use alcohol for some of their dishes! It's such a different concept as not a lot of Italian restaurants do that here😊

Overall, I'd definitely say it's a good spot! A must visit even. I'm surprised not a lot of people know about it! It's a lovely chill place💖I'll definitely come back to try the desserts!🍰
Hopefully I can get lucky with the Valentine's day contest they currently have on their Instagram and visit sooner😍 💕

The staff and service were excellent in terms of friendliness, timeliness and knowledgeability.
The food quality and appearance were fantastic but didn’t quite arouse my palette as expected.. Anyway everything else including the ambience was perfect... definitely recommended..don’t forget to taste the tiramisu.. it was quite good ...

A good Italian restaurant with nicely done interiors to match the cuisine. The service is good. The selection on the menu is extensive. However, the dishes we ordered were decent.

Don Corleone is an Italian restaurant at the (new, relocated) Metropolitan Hotel just off Exit 41 on Sheikh Zayed Road. It used to be a pretty decent place with a cosy, comfortable interior dotted with memorabilia from the Godfather movies and red and white chequered tablecloth for that stereotypical Italian effect. This new incarnation follows some of that mantra, but I feel much of its spirit and character was lost in the move.
Samer
Very very very limited variety of food, it's more of a kitchenette rather than a brunch. Food quality is not great. Definitely no value for the money.
Sahar S
We had a wonderful birthday dinner here and I highly recommend the Plancha steak, and our server Karina was wonderful! We’ll definitely come back again soon.

The whole place just had a very sad feel to it. Empty restaurant. Pizza was good. Tappenade as well. Break was clearly not fresh. Pasta was horrible as was the highly recommended minestrone soup. Thought it was a bit pricy too.

Brilliant Friday brunch. Could I say more...god bless you guys at Don...fantabulous. From impeccable food quality to service and excellent comfort...bravo...

Absolutely love this place!! It has the same Decor as most of the Italian restaurants. The rustic look with red and white checkered table clothes. Hives it a very closet fee. The food is really good! I would definitely go back again. The ultimate carby comfort food!
Tried the:
Margherita Pizza
Burrata
Pesto pasta with mushrooms
Couldn’t stop eating

Me and my better half tried the Friday La Famiglia Brunch at Don Corleone. It's a small cozy place particularly interesting to the lovers of the famous trilogy.

One thing that stood out was an awesome service by the whole team , right from the get go from the manager to the staff to the chefs everyone was extremely courteous and made us feel they were welcoming someone in their family. That's something to be proud of team, keep it up.

The brunch had a good spread with meatballs, fried hammour fillets, fried calamari, baby clams, grilled chicken, potato and cheese tots, steamed vegetables, vegetarian lasagna, and wedges. We especially like the juicy chicken and the fried calamari.

The salad section had a great spread too, and we really liked the cured beef and turkey. In addition they have a live pasta, risotto and pizza section. You get table pizza shaped bread with dried tomatoes and cheese. And its tasty. In the soft drinks section they allow coffees which was a great thing for us in brunch. Their breads section was good too.

Their desserts section was controlled spread with Tiramisu, Fruit Salad, Berries Panna Cotta , a couple of pastries (Mango and Chocolate) and Profiteroles. We loved the airy soft profiteroles filled with creamy centre and the tiramisu was awesome too. But the rockstar was the Berries Panna Cotta which was among the best we have had in UAE.

All in all we had a great experience, and we would be coming back in future.

Our friends requested to try Don Corleone, we ordered Pizzas, Risotto and steak.
The pizza was good while the risotto was alright.
The steak was a whole different story, ordered medium pink center it took them plenty of time more than 30 minutes and the Resturant had only 2 tables including ours to serve. That’s not all, the steak was well done and chewy! After complaining the manager requested from the chef to prepare another steak medium and guess they served it well done again with a very salty mushroom sauce. The Italian manager was so embarrassed and asked the chef to visit our table and explain what happened instead the chef offered us free ice cream which we refused to take. Couldn’t finish the steak as it wasn’t good at all, I do understand it’s not a French restaurant but still can’t they get an average steak! Will rate it 3 stars for the time being, hopefully they improve.

I would call this a hidden gem. One of the best Italian I have had. The complimentary bread n sauces are awesome. So is the risotto, the pizza, the tiramisu... very relaxed n cozy ambience ं

Cannot fault this place one bit! Service, food and staff were all on point. Will definitely be coming back. On the entertainer as well, which always goes down a treat!
Hala
The atmosphere and the staff were very pleasant. However, the food was definitely not worth the price. The food was too flavorless and does not by any standards live up to real Italian food.
Maahi
Went here for an early dinner one friday. Ordered a ravioli and grilled baby chicken. The chicken was too salty, but the staff were quick to replace it with a fresh dish. The mushroom ravioli was perfectly done and creamy. This place has a reputation for good food and good service, and it surely didnt let us down.

One of the best Italian and mouth watering dishes I had in DON CORLEONE . Despite of being vegetarian found so many choices in menu , staff was so warm and ambience is amazing . Manager visit each table to provide best food of your choice and variety . Loved it and I am there almost every other week .
Ali Berjawi
Quite italian place located in this new hotel. Quick notes: this place basically knows how to prepare antipasti pasta and risotto only. Pizza below average while beef plates are bad. Nice overall ambience yet slow service. It’s quite competitive out there so they need to improve the overall experience

Bonjour? More like Buongiorno! Our recent visit to one of Dubai's oldest Italian restaurants shattered the notion that French is the language of love. We’re now convinced it's actually Italian. And their method of speaking is their food. Don Corleone at the revamped Metropolitan Hotel is not just fluent in this language, but has mastered weaving it into each dish. You don't have to be a linguist to understand this language. You just have to be hungry!

This American-Italian restaurant is adorned with all the quintessential touches you'd expect from an eaterie of its calibre. Everything from the checkered tablecloths to the black and white vintage pictures hanging on the wall takes you on a walk through Sicily.

We had an amazing experience , from the atmosphere, to the service and of course the food. A must try authentic Italian restaurant, if not the best.

Situated in a 4-star hotel and at a prime location of Dubai,Don Corleone is one finest restaurants in town. The restaurant has subtle interiors and cutlery reflecting italian culture with a modern touch. The seating is spacious and caters to everyone from sole diners to large groups.
The quality of food is excellent, served warm and fresh. The food portion is large and presentation is simple yet classy.
My personal favourite was gnocchi- perfect in spices and cooked to perfection. The staff is quite hospitable and their smiles are contagious.
The only drawback is the speed of service. Long wait leads to binging on breads and not fully enjoying the meals ordered.
Bayan Tomaleh
This was without a doubt the most shocking and disappointing italian restaurant experience period, especially considering the good reviews (the vast majority of which were during the month of october only) and the ridiculously high prices - AED 75 for an arrabiata?

The first ominous sign after placing our orders and being surprised by the prices was olive oil served with the bread basket. At such prices and hype, one would expect a quality extra virgin olive oil or at least a decent one like the majority of decent italian restaurants, however, this one was appalling. It barely classified as olive oil. Almost colorless, odourless and tasteless.

I had asked for my penne arrabiata to be cooked with garlic - as it should. Expecting a fresh homemade sauce with quality italian produce, i was in utter disbelief when i was served the arrabiata with a jarred ready made sauce which was overly sweet, barely spicey, devoid of any taste of tomatoes, and the pasta was tossed with raw crushed garlic at the end. I could not eat more than a few bites because all i could register was the mindblowingly strong raw garlic taste in my mouth. Never have I observed such outrageous ineptitude anywhere.

Next was the deeply disappointing pizza margherita with buffalo mozzarella. To start off, they served us normal mozzarella, and the pizza was smothered with it, with hardly any tomato sauce. The pizza was as authentic as was the giant sprig of rosemary on my overly sweet garlicy arrabiata.

Having had passed on our grievances and disappointment to the restaurant manager who fully acknowledged our deeply disappointing and forgettable experience, we had expected the barely touched arrabiata (at the least) to be removed from the bill. However it was not to our major surprise.

Perhaps the restaurant considered it to be in better taste to serve us a complimentary "panna cotta" - which was by far the worst panna cotta we have ever tasted anywhere in the world.

To sum up, an honest word of advice to anyone seeking a truly authentic italian experience and food at far more reasonable prices: keep clear of this establishment.
Tyrone Nash
The food is okay. Not what I expected but it's just fine. For an Italian like me, I must say that they have passed my standards.

Pasta was served hot! Gustoso! Al dente! Kudos to the chef!
Dining experience was also okay. I would like to commend - Mon, for being very attentive. Eccellente!!

Over all experience is good. Molto bene, grazie.
Jad Ghandour
I Will not go back there again!!!
The price is now 159 instead of 109 and they never told us, even their own website states 109! Even The adds in the hotel toilet is 109 still as all the other websites like zomato.
I think it’s a huge lack of respect for the clients. Went today for the friday brunch, the restaurant was empty only 4 tables in total.

The food is as before although now the desserts seem to be less and on the buffet. Before they use to bring them to you.

Waiters are ok nothing special .

You can get better value for money and a brunch 4 times this size for 159aed.
JD
Nice hotel located in the best possible part of the city. This restaurant has The Godfather theme although not done up much, just a few pictures and the overall arrangement of furniture.

We tried the Friday Godfather Brunch which was a fantastic experience. As veggies, w expected to fall short of options but were pleasantly surprised. Be it the ravioli or the pizza or the cheese spread or the salad bar, no complaints. We were delighted with every morsel and ended up eating a lot more than what we planned to.

Excellent service quality delivered by a great team. We would like to place appreciation to Karina and Nicole who assisted us during our visit, pleasant servitude throughout the two hours or so we spent on the table.
Ziyaah
I went for the Friday godfather brunch.
Cute place with valet parking as it’s inside a hotel.
Interiors are nice, the buffet was restricted though. Could’ve had a bigger selection of items and desserts. The live pasta counter is really boring as there are three types of boiled pasta and three sauces which he will mix together and serve. Minimum effort.
Good - average
Service - average
Ambiance - good
Value for money- decent
Can try it one time.
Mohammad Othman
The best Italian restaurant in town.
The portions were just suitable and more than enough, everything is fresh and delicious. The staff is very friendly and professional

I used to love this place about a year back but had a few bad experiences .. bad service.. from great food to not great food at all, the pasta was packet pasta was not fresh

Don Corleone 🇮🇹 -

I hadn’t been to the older location of this popular Italian restaurant located in the old Metropolitan Hotel opposite Safa Park. The new version doesn’t seem that traditional anymore. Other than the red and white chequered tablecloth, nothing spells traditional Italian. There are numerous gangster photographs all over the place (reiterating the naming stereotype).

The Arborio risotto with Portobello mushrooms, chicken breast and black truffle oil was amazing. Anything with truffles is amazing isn't it? I must say this was one of the best risotto’s I have ever had in Dubai.

My fellow diners got the salmon fettuccini (which was OK I am told), Penne in pesto (I thought it was good but the others felt it wasn’t cooked well enough) and the Rigatoni in tomato sauce (again not cooked well enough). The tiramisu and the crème brulee was decent.

The food was highly OK (except for the spectacular risotto) for a restaurant that used to be a big deal back in the day.
Banisha Balan
I had one of the best pasta in town at this restaurant. A quiet place with Godfather character photos on the wall and wine bottles tastefully placed around.
We had pesto penne with chicken and fusilli Pollo e funghi. The red sauce in fusilli and pesto sauce in penne was very creamy and rich. It filled us up though the plating may seem like it ain't much.
They have wine and dine night, happy hours and Godfather themed brunch.
Ahmed
This could be my new favorite Italian joint! The place smells like Italy! The staff are very friendly and polite, helps you with the menu and explains every dish perfectly could even help you with your wine choice when ordering a specific dish (for those who drink)

We ordered the steak and fried chicken with spaghetti and both were delicious and cooked to perfection then we ordered dessert and coffee to call this night one of our favorite restaurant experience in Dubai yet!
Anthony Mesmar
I used to frequent Don Corleone since it used to be in the old Metropolitan hotel. The decoration is not as cozy as the old place but the food is still great! We ordered the portobello Risotto with prawns (asked for extra prawns on top of the order). The shrimp was beautifully pan grilled and not over cooked! The risotto is great and creamy and the extra cheese on top was amazing! Also ordered a meat lasagna and it was really good and recommended. Dessert consisted of amazing tiramisu that was a lovely way to end the meal!
Natalya Schluechter
Completely inauthentic Italian with really slow service. Ordered the carbonara, which came way too creamy, my pasta was literally swimming in sauce - and the bits of meat weren't very good. There were barely any people dining, yet it took nearly 2 hours for our entire meal. Will not be coming back or recommending, choose somewhere else for your Italian spot in Dubai.
Rubaina D
Bad experience, will not go back nor will refer anyone!!
The only part good about our experience here was the garlic bread and sangria!!
The mains... vegetariana & salmon pizza.. they were probably not stocked with enough vegetables... few mushrooms and bell peppers badly chopped off and randomly thrown over the pizza.. salmon pieces looked unappealing with green leaves
The worse part was the pasta... pesto with penne... served cold.. a jar of pesto over penne would probably taste better...
Tortellini... over salted and the tortellini with cold with thick coating...seriously!!!!
We returned the tortellini and asked for a risotto...equally bad...rice undercooked.. no flavour...bland...just plain bad food!!
To end it we were billed for the tortellini (Aed75) vs the risotto (aed 56)... this was again highlighted by us...
Clearly all wrong!!!
The least the management could have done was discount the bill for providing below standard food...no concept of customer service I guess!
Alma Abu Ras
One of the oldest Italian restaurants in Dubai. I used to go ages ago when it was open in the old Metropolitan. When I saw that they rebuilt the new one near the Umm Suqeim exit, I was excited to visit again. I have to say I had higher expectations. I would give the food a 4, the mushroom risotto was delicious. I just didn't like the new layout of the restaurant. The atmosphere wasn't as Italian, and it was annoying for some of us with no smoking section. The restaurant in the previous Metropolitan with the small garden definitely gave a nice vibe to it!
EFMUAE
Don Corleone is a fresh, vibrantly colourful, casual dining, Italian themed restaurant in the Metropolitan Hotel that serves a really nice selection of pizzas, pastas and starter dishes and good wines too. The ambience is quite a large area with pictures on one wall of famous Italians adding to the authenticity! I chose a light supper of buffalo cheese and ravioli, both excellent. There's an extensive wine list and what better place to try Italian wine than in an Italian restaurant! I opted for a chianti; a dry red that worked really well with the dishes. This restaurant is not very busy and I think it's partly because there is so much attraction to Al Safa downstairs and being close to the main entrance, maybe diners venture there (although it's well worth a visit and serves excellent food), but Don Corleoni deserves to be on the map for being a really nice local restaurant venue, just as the same original restaurant in the old Met was back in the day.
Ch El Beblawy
First visit to The restaurant we came for the first time we were given the table we asked for, immediately we noticed that the chairs are not comfy at all they are street like so it is not recommended for those with back problems service was rather slow given that we were the first and only group to arrive for dinner, pizza was well garnished simple and tasty, penne Arabiata was lacking taste especially the sauce but penne pesto was a winner perfectly al Dante with creamy pesto cooked to perfection, tiramisu and penna cotta were just ok although the waitress told us that it's their signature dessert, overall a nice Italian restaurant with a good vibe but major flaw are those very uncomfortable chairs

Been here for God Father's brunch, from the moment I stepped in, I felt like I am in Italy. The ambiance and interiors are beautiful. There were live cooking stations and variety of fresh food. We had a great experience at Don Corleone Restaurante. We ate two delicious pizzas, truly Italian made as we usually find in Naples (Italy) and the staff is the additional valuable element: friendly, professional and passionate about what they do. A special thanks goes to Mr. Leon, who made our experience even better spending some time with us and telling more about his restaurant. Wish them all the best! Very popular with locals and specially with tourist. a must try to anyone around dubai Shiehk zayed road. Highly recommended! 🖒🖒

The food was tasty and we enjoyed it. But there is something that I didn't like. The service was super slow although there was only 3 tables with people.

I went back a few weeks later to try their Friday brunch, it's called The Godfather Brunch.
It was amazing, the price start at 109 dhs with soft drinks.
The food was tasty and the service was perfect.
I will be back more often, I enjoyed it a lot.

We went there for lunch. The food was really good and we enjoyed it. To start we had the fried calamari and the burrata cheese for the main the grilled baby chicken and the pink tortellini were really good.

Food Instagram: @forkingfoodiedxb / Personal Instagram: @xotina143

My review of Don Corleone – Absolutely delicious Italian food is served here. I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant twice, one for dinner, and the other for their newly introduced Godfather brunch.

Lets talk about my dinner experience first. Each of the items that I had were the best Italian dishes that I had in a while. The tortellini pasta dish that I had was perfect. The filling was tasty, and it was full of meat so you are not just biting into regular pasta.

The melanzane or known as the eggplant parmesan was baked with cheese, which created a wonderful combination. It was made the same way as lasagna, with the eggplant replacing the pasta, creating a nice vegetarian dish to enjoy. The eggplant was baked beautifully, and the texture and taste was on point.

Now I am going to move onto the brunch portion of the review. The brunch that was offered here was great as there were many Italian food stations. It was set up in a buffet style, with chefs cooking meat, risotto, pasta, and salad right in front of your eyes. I loved the experience as I do love the Godfather book, and it was nice to imagine my life relating to the book while enjoying delicious Italian food.

Each of the items that I had from the buffet were cooked wonderfully and there was so much flavour. I loved the risotto station, as the chef prepared hot risotto for you and then he moved it over to the huge cheese they had, and mixed the rice into the cheese. This made a difference as every bit of rice was coated with the cheese which made it creamy and delicious.

Another station that I enjoyed from the brunch buffet was the pasta station. There were about 7 different types of pastas ready to be cooked in front of you and 3 sauce choices. I decided to get a mixture of every pasta and chose the pink sauce. I was happy to be eating the tortellini again, as my dinner experience last time with this dish was outstanding.

Finally, I want to mention the meat cooking station, as there was fish, beef, and chicken served. The fish and beef were made often by the chefs at this station, and you can definitely choose your cook on your beef to your liking. I loved the fish and chicken, as they were cooked beautifully, with tasty marinade.

This restaurant deserves a rating of 5/5.

I ordered the tortellini for 75DHS, melorano long drink for 50DHS, melanzane for 42DHS, and the Godfather Brunch starting at 109DHS.

The pricing here is not bad at all for authentic Italian cuisine.

The service was excellent! I loved how each of the servers dressed for the Italian theme, and I love their hats! They were quick to get our order and the food came out in a respected amount of time.

Finally, the ambience of the restaurant has a large dining space with pictures on one wall of some famous Italian people, making the restaurant feel more Italian. Excellent decor and there are a combination of booths and tables with the red and white table cloths that is seen everywhere in Italy. This wonderful restaurant is located in the modern and sophisticated Metropolitan Hotel.

I paid a visit after it had reopened in the new location, honestly was disappointed as the quality of the food did not really matched the authentic Italian flavor.

Follow me on Instagram: HighExpecTASTEion
**UPDATE**

I went for the newly launched Godfather themed lunch that is available until Ramadan so sometime end of May/early June and there is a wide variety of choices for everyone to select from. The food is always fresh and replenished way before the existing batch runs out so you always have something hot off the stove.

There is always a live risotto station as well as grill, salad and pasta.

The servers are attentive as always and is prompt to refill drinks and clear plates, making your experience a memorable one.

**End of Update**

The hotel itself is beautiful and should really be rated as a 5 star and not a 4 star. I understand that there is a strategic reason for hotel to be categorized as such so I will leave that story for a different day. Having said that, Don Corleone definitely lives up to the dining experience that you would expect to find at a 5* hotel. This particular restaurant should definitely be in the conversation for one of the top Italian restaurants in Dubai.

This place used to be one of my favourite when Metropolitan first opened. Still kept its charm and quality of food. Great place. Some amazing red wine to complement the Italian cuisine.

It's nothing like the old place, lost its rustic charm, no lawn, no atmosphere, now it feels like an Italian Olive garden. We were there on a Valentine's day, with a booking confirmation from Zomato. When we turned up no one seems to know anything, we were asked politely to wait at the bar, then 20 mins later I had to remind them that we were still waiting! The service was good, but the Fettuccini pasta while tasty had me throwing up late night. Not sure if it was that or the garlic bread. Never going here again

The Metropolitan Hotel has just reopened last December 2016 after 3 and a half years of break on a new location in Sheikh Zayed Rd (Al Thanya St.). Together with this, there are several restaurants in this 4 star hotel that we have to explore for you to know what they have in-stored for you. Don Corleone is an Italian restaurant on Mezzanine floor which has been part of the hotel since 1979 and it’s one of the first Italian restaurants in Dubai. And so you’ll find some old framed photos on the wall. Enjoy their delectable dishes in a very charming ambiance and upbeat background music.

We visited Don Corleone while staying on Dubai Marina during the first leg of our honeymoon. Everything we ate was so yummy and the service was brilliant. All staff are very friendly and always smile. The Bryschetta Piccolo which is rarely good outside Italy was perfect same in italy as were both our main meals (Arrabiata and Alfredo) and tiramisu desert. As I said, the meal was really reasonably priced, particularly for Dubai in which we are used to higher prices. We will definitely visit again and recommend it to family who visit Dubai regularly.

I went with my friends in this Italian Restaurant during my holiday, and now I absolutely can confirm this is an ambassador in Dubai of Italian food.
Great and very professional team, the waiter is very attentive and proffesional he entertained me and my friends with suggestions about some very nice things of Dubai and the Menu.
Absolutely good prices. Absolutely Amazing. And thank you the waiter (I forget the name) for your amazing service for entire night. You are fantastic and best service.. I will recommend to my other freinds visiting in dubai soon. A firm Favourite in dubai.

Little Italy in Dubai!!

We ate here on our trip to Dubai and the pizza was amazing.

The restaurant was actually very quiet when we visited but it has wonderful views across the Shiehk Zayed Road.

We ordered the fresh watermelon juice and fresh orange juice which was really good and the diavola pizza and the vegetarian pizza. Its a true authentic pizza. I struggled to finish mine!

The service was very efficient, professional and friendly staff. It was quite a reasonable price. We will coming back.

OTTIMO DUBAI

We visited dubai the third time over the last 5 years and had dinning in different good restaurants. We eat for the first time at Don Corleone and for us it is the best Italian restaurant we ever been in Dubai. We had several dishes: pizza is great, pasta is good, rissotto fantastic and tiramisu unique. We will come again in this aunthentic Italian cruisine.

The staff needs lot of training, do invest in them, the charm of eating in a restaurant is lost if the waitress is apologizing more due to her lack of knowledge and mistakes.....ladies night 3 drinks means 3, happy hour means happy hour....be clear in your instructions as you are only embarrassing the guest.

Don Corleone is located on the Mezzanine floor of Metropolitan Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road; quite close to Times Square Center. The interiors and the ambience are absolutely fantastic. The wine display, the checked table cloth, it was like sitting in a restaurant in Italy with the music playing, couldn't get any more authentic. The menu options are pretty decent. A variety of wines and alcohol is available for those who would like to have it with their meal. We ordered Gamberetti Alla Provinciale (shrimps in tomato sauce, pine nuts and coriander), Tagliatelle Alfredo with chicken (white sauce pasta with chicken & mushrooms) & Pollo Alla Griglia (grilled chicken with garlic cream, long beans, potatoes and herbs with a gravy). For drinks, we ordered Virgin Mojito. To start of the meal, like any other Italian restaurant, bread was served with sun dried tomatoes paste and a herby paste. The bread was soft and went well with the variety of pastes. The Gamberetti was absolutely flavourful, one could taste the spices in the tomato base, along with pine nuts which works quite well. The shrimp tasted very fresh. The pasta was well cut and cooked. The white sauce tasted delightful. The taste wasn't overwhelming unlike other pasta dishes I have eaten. It was rich and creamy at the same time not heavy on the tummy. The grilled chicken was tender and juicy and the vegetables were well cooked and seasoned. Also the gravy complemented the whole dish. The Virgin Mojito was refreshing! All the ingredients were very fresh and the dishes were served hot. What we thought was a good decision was to split a dish for two people. So in that sense, the portions were satisfying. The service was spot on. The server was very patient with our order and extremely sweet. In fact, that elevated the whole dining experience. Don Corleone is a lovely place to eat at with your loved ones. I would definitely love to come back again. It's highly recommended!

Very strange experience. Walked into a completely empty restaurant at 7:30pm on a Friday night. We decided to have an authentic Italian drink before deciding if we should eat there and use the opportunity to take a look at the menu at the same time. My husband and I are picky and know exactly what we want, so having a drink was our cover to see the place. The manager/supervisor immediately replied "you know there's a pub downstairs if you want a drink". Was gobsmacked! Instead of charming us into staying at the restaurant and at least show us the menu, both him and the blank looking waitress were standoffish and completely unhelpful. Even more shocking is that there wasn't a soul in the entire hotel and no one cared at all that potential customers walked in and walked right back out............

Traditionally designed place, with the red and white table covers and the traditional italian look and feel, I really loved the food there presented in an amazing way. The place had no people, but I suppose because the hotel is new!
