The worst waffle and pancake I’ve ever had in my life. It tastes smelly eggs and the pancake was a sponge cake. The sauce was very little (at least they should add more sauce to cover the creepy taste) I just threw it to the rubbish and wasted my money.

Recently visited this place for a nice morning breakfast. Such a beautiful cafe like ambiance, they have outdoor and indoor seating, so you can enjoy the nice view of the lake while sipping your coffee. I ordered the an Omelette customized with add on Hash Brown and Mushroom. Perfectly cooked, really loved the service as well. Great, polite staff. Later I took my latte to the outdoor area and enjoyed with the lake view in the morning air. It was not very crowded in the morning. Will definitely be coming more for trying something new in their breakfast menu.

I have visited LaCantina a few times and I also often order from their restaurant. I absolutely love their penne alfredo. the sauce is delicious and the pasta is perfectly cooked. The only downside to this dish is the chewy chicken. The pizza and soup were also quite good! The only part that needed a little extra boost was the salads. Carrot cake that I ordered was missing from the order, called the restaurant they checked CCTV and said the carrot cake was put in the bag which I never received and that their driver was also fasting so it couldn't have been him. Magically the carrot cake disappeared from the bag itself .. they didn't take the blame. Won't order again.

One of my favorite places in Dubai! The food is perfect whatever you take! I recommend Risotto with Salmon, Baked potato (Beef Fajita for example), Daily lunch (beef/chicken), all soups, Barbecue wings... But my favorite thing about this place is super-nice staff! They are always so pleasant (but not in a fake way like everything in Dubai), and friendly. Great food and great service!:)

This is just my go to place in dubai. I might have tried all the dishes on the menu. The chicken wings feel a little dry and like cooked before time. But the spicy barbecue sauce makes it worth. The risottos, the pastas the sandwiches the pizza are just wonderful.

WOW. Finally found another spot serving awesome breakfast and lunch a 2 minute walk away from my office. The restaurant is very simple but very warm and welcoming! We ordered the mixed Tapas for starters (was amazing) followed by the Fajita Chicken Sandwich and the La Canine Special Patato Soup. This was the 1st time I tried such a soup concept and instantly fell in love with it. Healthy and tasty unlike the starters and the sandwich! La Cantina is just a walk away from where I live and decided to try it out. The place is just right, not too fancy and laid back - just right. Since the weather in Dubai is getting better, I decided to sit right next to the lake. The server is prompt and very honest about the menu. He explained that they have all-day business lunch, which is very reasonably priced. The lady who is in charge of guest relations/reservations is a breath of fresh air! I ended up ordering the Onion Soup and Entrecôte with sides of salad and steamed vegetables. The soup is just right - your typical onion soup. The steak is thin and although I ordered it medium rare, it came more to medium well. It's still steak after all so I never bothered having it replaced. It's crusted with rosemary and pepper, which I love, while the poivre sauce that comes with it is fine. The salad comes with balsamic dressing and was good until there's a whole romaine lettuce base, which I think should have not been served in the first place. Overall, if you're looking for real value for your money - this venue is something that you should try out. I will definitely go back to try out other dishes.

What a pleasant place. Definitely a place to be if you feel the big coffee chains don't let you sit by yourself enough. I like the ambience with dim lights and the transparent long windows. They have the long tables, so you can sit away for long times, and some smaller chairs for smaller groups. The back support on all of these chairs isn't too great. So have a strong back when you visit. :) I ordered a cappuccino and a business lunch. Really well done on both. The coffee was made in an instant, and the lunch came along only as I finished each part of my lunch - and super fresh when it arrived (I took my time with the soup and the salad). They have WiFi for free and unlimited, which I must say isn't a norm sadly. Tips: Take a coat. It can get a bit chilly. Having a pair of headphones in your pocket helps. Your order will come up in no time, so be sure to ask for some between dishes. Busy on weekdays during lunch hours. Haffun! Best Zohan

Yay! I found another place serving great breakfast! This outlet located in Fortune Tower of JLT has great views of the lake while you dine. The interiors are simple yet very functional. It has a homely feel to its decor. We ordered the Spanish Omelette and the Pancakes. The omelette was good and served with veggies, bread, butter and jam. The winner here was no doubt the pancakes! It tasted so yummy, fresh and irresistible. It came with maple syrup and cut bananas, strawberries and kiwis. The batter was almost perfect. The staff is great too, just be sure to have patience for a bit of long time for your order to be prepared. I'm surely going to hop here back again. Heard that they serve good Italian too 😀

I actually really love the food here. The food is great however the waiting time for the food is just insane. Went here for lunch a couple of times and my conclusion from the tried and tested method is always pre order and go so that you don't waste most of your lunch time waiting. Apart from that, here's what's great to order from here - Penne Alfredo - it's super creamy and rich. Portion of the pasta and the chicken is pretty good and will fill you up. Very delicious and would highly recommend. Grilled Chicken Caesar - A good amount of delicious grilled chicken with the salad however if you don't like too much cheese ask them to hold on the cheese because they do put alot which I never mind anyways. Baked potato cordon bleu and The Fajita - Really filling and a dish that is not so expensive compared to the rest of the dished in the menu. I would also higly recommend trying this dish. Apologies for the bad lighting in pictures. Reuploaded review: The pancakes are to die for!

The Taste Of Good

Greeted by a plump statue chef, his smile made us enter the winner of the Best Service Restaurant Awards 2017 in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, organized by JLT Dining. I would say that they deserve the award, our hostess was very attentive and courteous. The menu has a lot of options and its vegetarian friendly. We ordered sweet potato fries, bruschetta and grilled vegetable sandwich.

It’s the cozy weekend cafe! La cantina has a great location at the lake side in JLT. It’s a perfect chill out place for the winters. It’s a cute little cafe with quite an elaborate menu and really friendly and smiling staff. The service is prompt and the music makes you want to sway and dance. We usually go here for coffee. Their coffees and tea selection is quite good and always served piping jots the shakes and juices are fresh and chilled and the fries and sweet potato fries are to die for! Never tried the food but judging by the presentation on the other tables, definitely worth a bite. It’s the local neighbourhood joint. Def a must visit if you want to relax in JLT.

I experienced many negative things in some place but never left a bad review. La cantina did its best to earn it. Ordered business lunch menu. They said menu has ran out but we can prepare this and that. After 40 min, got a terrible rice it was like mashed, cold beef, and boiled vegetables in hot water i guess it was vegetable soup. Just tell me you don't have them, don't try to cook if you're not gonna make it on time and tasty. It was all totally garbage. I'd like to ask to cook what kinda special skill he has to cook these garbages with beautiful ingredients. Waste of time and money, stay away.

My husband and I went for breakfast, and it was an absolute shambles. When we got there, there were only 6 other guests in total. The server came over and grunted at us, and we ordered our food. I ordered the La Cantina breakfast, and my husband had the breakfast potato. I asked for my toast to be toasted a bit extra as most restaurants barely toast the bread. We waited almost 45 minutes for the food, with the staff running around like headless chickens, shouting at each other and making a huge racket despite the lack of customers. They dropped off my breakfast first, and then my husband's about 5 minutes later with no apology or explanation. My bread was missing, and when I asked about it I got a blank stare followed by a grunt. My husband's food was alright, mine was barely edible. The sausages were of the lowest quality possible, and were clearly deep fried from frozen. The coffee tasted burnt, it was so bad I didn't drink it. Once we finished eating I asked again for my toast, and when it came it was not toasted at all and was not accompanied by any butter or jam. The table next to us was clearly having similar issues as the woman kept on having to ask for things and had to send a couple of items back. Needless to say we will not be eating there again!

Food delivered almost 1,5 hours after placing the order. When the food arrived it was cold. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant for deliveries although I must say the delivery guy was very friendly. The price is also little bit expensive compared to competitors. The fajita should be toasted since now it's too much 'wet' to eat. The fries are very dry but that's I think because the delivery took to long and the packing is not great. The salad is just a few leaves of lettuce with some dressing. It's more like garnish then a salad. Overall not very satisfied.

Had a quick late breakfast here. We ordered a breakfast platter which was very average considering they had just fried the frozen chicken sausages and the hash brown. We also ordered a grilled vegetable sandwich wherein cheese was missing - though it was decent and a blueberry danish - was very average since it got microwaved a bit too much and hence lost the flakiness. The service was awesome though.

Visited this cafe today. V were a group of 14 people. Staff were great help us rearrange the seating the way we wanted. Food was very good. Must try the club sandwitch, grilled chicken, veg noodles in the Asian noodles section. How can I explain the taste....it was more of natural n clean tastes. ..just wht v can expect from a good cafe n that wht we wanted. Sometimes some foods have a lot going on ....it prefer clean flavours.....it hope I explained it correctly. We all enjoyed the food. We tried the chocolate cake which was amazing. A small place but great food. Must try.

I ordered from them yesterday. It was my first time, and definitely its NOT gonna be my last time! Food was delivered on a timely manner. I got my orders in a nice packaging and food was still hot which is I love. I ordered the La Cantina breakfast, and everything was nice and tasty on my dish. Black coffee is also served along with it. Price is really pocket friendly. I ordered from them again today, and excited to receive it! I highly recommend Prawns Risotto, Sea Bass, Smoked Salmon, Baked Potato. Furthermore, all meals are fresh and tasty. In addition, I became addicted to the indescribable Americano coffee. Nowadays, the weather is brilliant to have a dine outside and enjoy the fabulous view of the lake.

Very nice little place hidden in JLT, seating by the lake is not bad and staff are very friendly. The new menu is a big plus and has plenty of varieties: Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dishes I've tried: 1- Potato jacket line up, bed was the fat Italian 2- Pasta: the best one is the sea food linguine 3- Salad: super bowl is by far my favorite 4- wings: not bad but I've have better ones 5- Burger: only one option but it's well assembled

I had a Toffee Coffee Frappe yesterday at the first sip it too my ❤️, it was super amazing as am a coffee lover , I need one perfect coffee in a day to make my day worth it 😁 But when the cream on top got mix with the coffee , it ruined up complete taste of cofee. Maybe the cream was not of good quality or was old but I ll suggest them to chk over it. The staff was super amazing , humble and sweet. The place is just at lake side so enjoying coffee there is a plus point for those who love to spend time with there beloved on coffee date 😍

A new addition to my favourites list! The Chicken Alfredo Pasta is, by far, THE best I've ever had! It has creamy sauce, soft penne and succulent chicken pieces, exactly what I look for in every pasta dish. If you're in cluster C at JLT, I highly recommend La Cantina's pasta. I assure you'll have a great meal at a spectacular location and great service.

I've been here many times and my favorite thing to order is their hazelnut latte. Their sandwiches are pretty good too, as well as their pasta. I do feel like there's so much more potential in this place if they invested in having more variety of food/desserts.

Tried this place for lunch delivery to the office. It was OK. Jalapeño poppers were not that great, I couldn't distinguish the flavour of the cheddar cheese and the jalapeño in it. It just tasted as something fried. Arugula salad was not bad however the portion is extremely small compared to the 34 aed that you pay. And the chicken wings with bbq sauce wasnt bad. However I heard good reviews about their breakfasts and probably next time will check it out. But for now this is what I think of the restaurant Suitable for vegetarians From Sara, with Love ❤️
