Rating. Silver medal 🥈
This is a delivery review. Delivered on time and contactless. Packing was nice and in a paperbag. Good cutleries. Very reasonable prices- surprising actually.
My orders-
1. Shrimp yakisoba. One of the best noodles I have ever taken. Only the amount was on the lower side. Again packed well in a paperbox. Shrimps could've been increased. At 33 dhs , a great item. It's available in 3 types-veg, chicken and my choice- shrimps.
2. Grilled avocado. 24 dhs. Very nicely grilled half portion, perfectly done without much condiments. Comes with a sauce. Eventhough garnished with wasabi, It must have been very delicately done.
3. Furiflower. Good quantity. At 24 dhs. The sauce is slightly overpowering. Spicy mayo sauce, seasalt and sprinkled on furikake. Traditional Japanese style.
4. Aioli salmon. Yakitori sticks. 26 dhs. 2 pieces of grilled salmon with aiyoli. Instant hit. Excellent at this price.
Now the heart wants more. Budget friendly good food and packed in a great way. Best value for money. Muh recommended.
Hii, i dont remember what is the name of this japanese dish as i had it on recommendation of the staff, but it was the best.. the best. It had veg tempura potatoes curry and rice. Definitely come back again to try further
Great sushis & shrimp dishes! Highly recommended for all sushi lovers!
It was my first visit, to port saeed apart from the hotel queen Elizabeth II, there are lot of good restaurants with interesting concepts.. I tired Spheres and its Japanese.
I tired the Okonomiyaki whc is a street side dish can be prepared as a veg or a non beg dish, I was told it means how would you like it is the meaning of the wors.. So not only is the staff well informed but warm and helpful. Chef was kind enough to explain the entire process of making it on then teppan. It was nice and yummy, For Desserts I tired Moshi.. It was just about Ok.
Beverage I had a mango ice tea.. Over all it was a good informative experience.
Absolutely loved it..our love for Ramen got us here..we loved the charcoal shrimp, sushi and the ramen..nice ambience..loved the location..
In love with this restaurant and the its food .
SPHEERZ, famously known for their street food dishes, is a Japanese joint located in a recently opened contemporary area called Marina, Port Rashid. The quarter is similar to other Meeras hotspots.
Boasting a minimilastic ambiance, this hidden jewel may go unnoticed by many - but its authenticity is to vouch for.
They have recently released their new "Fluffy Pink Pancakes" inspired by the cherry blossom festival in Japan. 🌸 A portion of strawberry syrup is served alongside.
The pancakes were exactly as they stated - Moist and fluffy!
A quick swipe above will give you a closer look at what we enjoyed here
@spheerz , Thank you for having us - we had a delightful time and a big thanks to @empyre.communications for this lovely opportunity.
Started off an early dinner @spheerz with a couple of mocktails and fresh juices -Passionfruit Mojito(💰22Dhs), Lychee Shoga Remonado (💰22Dhs), Fresh Lemon Mint (💰18Dhs) and Avocado & Honey juice (💰24Dhs). Perfect summer drinks to be sipped across the beautiful view of Port Rashid.
We ordered - Furiflower (💰23Dhs), Yakisoba (💰30Dhs), Chicken Takoyaki (💰25Dhs) and Shrimp Okonomiyaki (💰35Dhs).
Furiflower were crunchy bites of cauliflower packed with the flavour of spicy mayo, went perfectly with the egg noodles. The takoyaki spheerz are made of a wheat based batter with a filling of your choice topped with Takoyaki sauce, Japanese mayo, Bonito flakes and red pickled ginger. Okonomiyaki tasted quite similar to takoyaki, just presented in a different manner.
Furiflower and Chicken Takoyaki were the standouts for us at this chic Japanese street eatery, highly recommended!
P.S : They’ve got a lot of options for vegetarians as well.
I absolutely love this place, not only because I love Japanese style cuisines but because of how good this place is in terms of everything.
Miso ramen, sushi and mocktail were my absolute favourite here and are a must try
Had Iftar in Spheerz tonight with friends. Delicious simple and affordable light food. I loved Miso soup and edamame, sushi variety is good for price they charge
It was my first time try Spheerz. I'm in love with place first of all and the view an amazing during sunset. We tried promotion iftar 65AED what I can said it was worth it.. they do have a lot of option foods. The most that I like unlimited squid takoyaki, sushi and miso soup!! Not only that, they have rice, noodles, fried vegetables. All of the staff were nice! Thanks to Carolina for the service :) definitely recommended !!
I always look for sushi places so when I came across Spheerz’ ad on instagram, I knew I had to try it. Reviews on Zomato were good so me and my friends tried this Japanese Street Food restaurant yesterday. It’s located at Marina Cubes, Port Rashid. The place is really cool. Foodtrucks are laid out across the street overlooking the Marina/Port. Spheerz’ interior is very nice, too! Great place to chill and hang out with friends while enjoying some Japanese food. The food on the other hand was just okay. We liked their takoyaki which according to their staff was their best seller. The maki/sushi rolls weren’t the best in town, though. Anyhow, we still enjoyed our visit.
Went to try the buffet, they offer some popular varieties of sushi and you also can order from the menu selected dishes included in the buffet. Mahmoud the manager was exceptionally friendly and helpful in seating us despite the place being full. He set up an extra table for us and suggested dishes too. Cleanliness of the cutlery and place was exceptionally good.
Food was good and 1 extra star for Mahmood the operations manager for handling the customers very well. He was very kind in attending to our needs and was considerate to set up seats for us. Thank you very much Mahmood
Always my favorite place for Japanese food. Their takoyaki makes me feel like I’m in Japan with it’s authentic taste. The staff are always friendly and they also recognize me as a regular guest.
Takoyakiiiiii 🥢 !!! Tried takoyaki for the first time. Though a seafood lover was quite skeptic about trying out this. But it tasted surprisingly amazing 👌🏻👌🏻 loved it 😋😋. In love with Japanese street food 😍. #takoyaki #japanesecuisine #streetfood #foodie #foodblogger #mydubai #dubai
We found a hidden gem at the marina cubes this weekend. Can’t believe there is a whole strip of restaurants existing here. Our first time to spheerz and we were greeted nicely by chef Arlene.
We reviewed their winter menu and it is so delicious! The Japanese street eats are a bit difficult to find in UAE. We started with the charcoal shrimp. These were pretty bomb! Loved the crispy outside and the bold colors. It tasted delicious too. It came in 5 pieces so it was great for sharing. Next we had the korakke which are potatoes balls filled with pieces of egg. I haven’t had them in Japan yet but my brother said it tasted almost the same. They were great and I’d definitely order them again. We also tried their ramen as part of their winter menu. We tried both the miso ramen and the paitai ramen. If you want something more flavorful I’d go with the paitan. It has the miso base but with a fully more rich broth. We ordered delicious mocktails along with our food. The yuzu twist as well as the Japanese latte were delightful, refreshing and beautifully presented. We spoke with chef Arlene and was glad to hear she used to cook in Japan.
The interior of the restaurant is also decorated thoughtfully with minimalistic theme.
We had a great time at this Japanese eatery. And it was truly a hidden gem to find this area.
Spheerz offers an authentic Japanese experience with dishes like Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki! Their tempura is exquisite and their twister and charcoal shrimp is highly recommended!
With all the hype around this place and my love for Japanese street food, I couldn't have been more happy to be here. Located in the seaside hideaway - Marina Cubes, the latest hangout spot in Dubai on Mina Road, this place is quiet and serene with an awesome view of the harbor.
We started our experience with the mocktails that were really good with some unique combinations. We tried the Lychee Shoga Remonado and a Mango Floral. A must have when here !
I got to try their from the new Winter menu and I pretty much enjoyed all of it. From the small plates there were the Charcoal Shrimp, Spicy Edamame and Korokke.
You cannot visit a Japanese restaurant and not try their ramen. We tried the Miso Ramen in prawns and a Paitan Ramen in chicken. The Paitan I was told is a thick, cloudy soup. that is made of fats and collagens extracted from chicken bone marrow and cartilage. The Miso Ramen was outstanding, the best ramen I've had so far. The paitan was a little too strong on the bone marrow aroma for my liking however this will be a delight to marrow lovers.
After enjoying the ramen we called for the Japanese Kofta and Chicken Liver in the mains. These were slightly low on flavors for my palate.
We ended the meal with a Mango Tango roll and this is a feast. This one is a sweet maki roll filled with mango, apple and orange topped with mango and mango sauce.
Is The details and the amazing food who do the real different experience!!! You easily have a fine dining experience in this place with a really nice view, warm people who help you in this Japanese street food journey!!! I really enjoy the time here I think one of my favorites was the shrimp onkonomiyaki and the Taiyaki there are simply amazing!!!! Thank you so much!!! Keep doing what your are doing guys this place is just amaizing!!!!
Best spot to chill, hangout and relax, accompanied by amazing Ramen (winter menu), takoyaki and perfect drinks.
Shout out to the manager and team who goes out of their way to engage and make the customers feel like home as the food embraces home cooked food made with passion, love and care. Special thanks to Carol and Jessaline (i hope i spell your names right) for the warm hospitality.
With the above being said, below are some of my recommendations.
- add shichimi on the side with your ramen dishes to give it more kick
- keep the ramen selection on the main menu as it is simply delicious
Growing up in my beautiful country – Philippines, we are always craving for street foods every now and then. Whether it’s a Kwek-kwek, a quail egg that is coated in an orange colored batter and deep fried, fish or squid balls, and to some adventurous they love to munch on Helmet – a head of the chicken or Adidas which is the feet of a chicken grilled over charcoal. I can talk about food without even pausing, but I would like to share with you about my recent experience in an emerging Japanese restaurant.
Itadakimasu! 🥢 Get your chopsticks ready for the Japanese street food newcomer @spheerz. Only five months old, Spheerz is already a fixture on the developing Port Rashid street of eateries. The restaurant has upstairs seating with a wall-to-wall window view of the port. 🚢 ..So the location is great but what about the food? Icing on the fish cake. 👌
We tried the sweet corn tempura and takoyaki spheerz for starters. The tempura is dusted in paprika which gives it a smokey twist to its mild sweetness. 🇯🇵 The takoyaki is essentially squishy balls of deep fried octopus, and a fan favorite of any Japanese festival! Our main course was a platter of yakitori sticks that included teriyaki chicken, chili octopus, soya ginger shittake, miso-butter wagyu and togarashi wings. All fantastic. The octopus, once again, was a winner. 🐙 Each sauce was distinct enough that the skewers hold up on their own as independent dishes. If you’re picky with textures or flavors, you might want to hold off. 💪 This is for the brave and bold.
Dessert was just as fun. We loved the squishiness of the mochi and the hot and cold blend of the fish cake and ice cream. 🍦 The cake was stuffed with red bean paste, which is almost undetectable beneath a strong chocolatey flavor (plus the vanilla ice cream). And a special, special, special shout-out to the sweetest staff and our server for the day. ARIGATO SHANTI! 👏
Really nice enviroment and decoration, tasty quality original japanese food and affordable prices. The takoyaki is the best in dubai inluding a sweet dessert version
I had an amazing experience with this Japanese restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is great. I really recommend this place. #sphrerz #rashidport
My love of Japanese Cuisine started with the concept of this restaurant. After visiting Japan and trying the food over there I can safely say that Spheerz has the authentic Japanese taste with a modern presentation. I dare to even say that their Takoyaki is better than most of the ones I tried in Japan.

Best Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki in UAE. I personally made sure! Spheerz offers rare-to-find Japanese street foods as well as favorites like Sushi, Yakitori, Yakisoba, and more.
It is our first time here and it was great! Place was clean and cozy. The portioning is just right. Japanese street style. Food was excellent. The menu may need more variety but everything else the experience was all ok! Will be back! 👍😘
Great Japanese restaurant. Friendly staff , cozy environment. Tasty food. Furiflower and mashroom takoyaki highly recommend. the Kani Salad is the best One in Dubai for me

I say this loosely because there dishes at Sphreez that you would not find at most Japanese restaurants because they are some what difficult to make as they are time consuming, namely Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki. The food here are mostly Tapas/appetiser size. There are a few dishes like Don Buri (rice) and Yakisoba (noodles) that should be bigger in serving size but I didn’t get a chance to try them.
I found out that Spheerz, a Japanese Modern Restaurant that I discovered 2 years ago in Global Village, opened at Marina Cubes at Port Rashid. You might be saying Marina Cubes, where is that?. Well, don’t worry because even me, I never heard about it till I went to Spheerz. The cool weather is on the way and eating at Spheerz at Marina Cubes will be fantastic.
Nice Japanese restaurant in Mina Rashid Marina, Port Rashid. I visited just now and the ambience was cool with many light decorations in the second floor for dine in tables. The staffs are very welcome and humble, they prepared my food not long time.
I took Donburi and takoyaki, its tasty and good quantity for my dinner tonight. Recommended Japanese restaurant in town with the best view of Queen Elizabeth II.

Considering this was my first visit, I'd say Shpreez is pretty amazing, great views, and decently priced Japanese street food, what more would you want ?
Would be a great place to come into during the winters, enjoy the view, the breeze, with some soul warming Ramen/miso soup, and some warm takoyaki.
