(التعليق الأصلي) 2 stars only for the staff and attention the barista paid to the fresh juices. Food looks beautiful but doesn't taste authentic or fresh. "Twister" Shrimps had more potato and breading than shrimp. Cucumber salad was room temp with limp cucumbers. Corn fritters were more flour than corn and tasted of the cheap oil they were fried in. Miso cod skewers had zero flavor as if they were not marinated. Rice was overcooked, underseasoned, and stuck together in clumps. It didn't even look appetizing. Mushrooms were the only dish we didnt take one bite of and stop eating immediately. Definitely not authentic and not delicious. Too many good choices in Dubai to waste your time here.

(التعليق الأصلي) Spheerz, is a very pretty looking nicely done restaurant and the attention to detailing is praise worthy, from everything the lights to the cutlery all are absolutely very pretty. Now when it comes to food, it’s a work in progress, & they’ve the grounds to build on as the menu is vast and offers a selection of beef & seafood with some vegetarian options too. Nothing we had this afternoon had the right amount of zing a Japanese dish would usually require. The sushi was decent & a few items like the squid and asparagus on the takoyaki were nice too but the reddy I have to admit I have had better. The Mochi how ever was top class ! All drinks are high on sweet and sugar.

(التعليق الأصلي) Well first of All this place is like 😩, the food is like 🤢🤮 like honestly there is no salmon sashimi no tuna nothing like a normally grate sushi restaurant and they call it “Japanese street food”, I think they should change it to food from street. But there were some pretty good sushi’s and the view is amazing 😉, yet still I wish there were more different food selections some staff were very friendly and some super Annoying. My main problem with this restaurant is the limited food they should definitely go to some bigger branches like yo sushi and itsu to learn what a real sushi brunch and unlimited buffet looks like, and it’s really tiring to walk up and down the stairs to go and get your sushi from this first floor like you need to get an elevator or just put the sushi’s upstairs were the customers sit .

(التعليق الأصلي) Considering this was my first visit, I'd say Shpreez is pretty amazing, great views, and decently priced Japanese street food, what more would you want ? Would be a great place to come into during the winters, enjoy the view, the breeze, with some soul warming Ramen/miso soup, and some warm takoyaki.

Very bad experience! Food quality very low and it takes so long to be served...almost one hour for a plate of maki to reach the table due to the lack of staff. And the taste was very disappointing, like all the rest we ordered. We will not come again definitely!

This is a delivery review. Delivered on time and contactless. Packing was nice and in a paperbag. Good cutleries. Very reasonable prices- surprising actually.
My orders-
1. Shrimp yakisoba. One of the best noodles I have ever taken. Only the amount was on the lower side. Again packed well in a paperbox. Shrimps could've been increased. At 33 dhs , a great item. It's available in 3 types-veg, chicken and my choice- shrimps.
2. Grilled avocado. 24 dhs. Very nicely grilled half portion, perfectly done without much condiments. Comes with a sauce. Eventhough garnished with wasabi, It must have been very delicately done.
3. Furiflower. Good quantity. At 24 dhs. The sauce is slightly overpowering. Spicy mayo sauce, seasalt and sprinkled on furikake. Traditional Japanese style.
4. Aioli salmon. Yakitori sticks. 26 dhs. 2 pieces of grilled salmon with aiyoli. Instant hit. Excellent at this price.
Now the heart wants more. Budget friendly good food and packed in a great way. Best value for money. Muh recommended.

Spheerz- Chic, Minimalist, Modern, yes that's Spheerz for you! Located in Mina Rashid, this pretty cafe is not just picture-perfect but also serves never-seen-before- Japanese Street Food. The food menu is vast and interesting, and the place has a breath taking view. The staff is very friendly yet professional and they know their stuff!

Went to try the rain drop dessert. Restaurant had beautiful view, friendly staff. The dessert was tastless. 100 marks for the beauty. Unfortunately the taste was bland.

was the only diner on a Saturday night. half of the drinks menu was unavailable. almost all meat was overcooked. when we asked to use a discount from voucherskout, we were told that the restaurant does not accept it anymore, although our app clearly shows expiry by 31 January 2020. will never visit again.

It was my first visit, to port saeed apart from the hotel queen Elizabeth II, there are lot of good restaurants with interesting concepts.. I tired Spheres and its Japanese.
I tired the Okonomiyaki whc is a street side dish can be prepared as a veg or a non beg dish, I was told it means how would you like it is the meaning of the wors.. So not only is the staff well informed but warm and helpful. Chef was kind enough to explain the entire process of making it on then teppan. It was nice and yummy, For Desserts I tired Moshi.. It was just about Ok.
Beverage I had a mango ice tea.. Over all it was a good informative experience.

The area is very nice and view is amazing. Outdoor and indoor seating similar to Box Park but in the marina. Limited parking but a parking lot nearby with a short walk.

The food is nothing to go crazy about but only place on the shrimp with Japanese food. Staff was nice and food was hot and quick to the table. Mushroom tempura was nice as you don’t see this option very often. Would come back for the view but not in a hurry for the food.

Went to the place on a foodie recommendation. Being a lover of Japanese cuisine I decided to try the place out which is hidden in Port Rashid.

Love the beautiful interior , ambiance & service.

When it comes to food ; it could have been better. ,We ordered the Spherz O' Clock which is a platter of wings , prawns, salmon, octopus , cod, chicken wings & more. For sides I ordered a prawn Ceviche & a chef special sushi roll.

The ceviche was good & hit the spot with its zesty dressing & fresh greens. The chef special sushi roll was good. The Spherz O' Clock looks super presentable & Instagram cool but doesn't it was a huge miss. The taste doesn't hit the taste buds. Two items which I really like from the platter was the Salmon & Cod. The platter comes with beef items but on that day they didn't have beef to serve.

The place has Zomato Gold for some of that sweet savings on your bill.

In love with this restaurant and the its food .

SPHEERZ, famously known for their street food dishes, is a Japanese joint located in a recently opened contemporary area called Marina, Port Rashid. The quarter is similar to other Meeras hotspots.
Boasting a minimilastic ambiance, this hidden jewel may go unnoticed by many - but its authenticity is to vouch for.
They have recently released their new "Fluffy Pink Pancakes" inspired by the cherry blossom festival in Japan. 🌸 A portion of strawberry syrup is served alongside.
The pancakes were exactly as they stated - Moist and fluffy!
A quick swipe above will give you a closer look at what we enjoyed here
@spheerz , Thank you for having us - we had a delightful time and a big thanks to @empyre.communications for this lovely opportunity.

Started off an early dinner @spheerz with a couple of mocktails and fresh juices -Passionfruit Mojito(💰22Dhs), Lychee Shoga Remonado (💰22Dhs), Fresh Lemon Mint (💰18Dhs) and Avocado & Honey juice (💰24Dhs). Perfect summer drinks to be sipped across the beautiful view of Port Rashid.
We ordered - Furiflower (💰23Dhs), Yakisoba (💰30Dhs), Chicken Takoyaki (💰25Dhs) and Shrimp Okonomiyaki (💰35Dhs).
Furiflower were crunchy bites of cauliflower packed with the flavour of spicy mayo, went perfectly with the egg noodles. The takoyaki spheerz are made of a wheat based batter with a filling of your choice topped with Takoyaki sauce, Japanese mayo, Bonito flakes and red pickled ginger. Okonomiyaki tasted quite similar to takoyaki, just presented in a different manner.
Furiflower and Chicken Takoyaki were the standouts for us at this chic Japanese street eatery, highly recommended!
P.S : They’ve got a lot of options for vegetarians as well.

Heard about this new spot in Dubai (Marina Cubes) looked online and happened to find this place, so decided to visit. To start off with the welcome was less than pleasant! When we asked the girl at the counter about our reservation, she just asked us to go up - no other info as to what, where, or how. Reach up and we find tables reserved by names, ours was not there. When we asked one of the servers, she asked me to just sit on any table which doesn't have a name. This contradicted what I was informed for 2 straight days when I called to ask if I can show up as a walk in and was told that they're fully booked! There was also a couple who was entertained as walk ins.

We went down to serve ourself food and had to ask about what is included, how it works and so on as NOTHING was informed to us in the first place! One of the chefs (Filipino guy - didn't get his name) was extremely unpleasant and rude when we asked about certain things. The girl serving us (Nepali) was also very rude and abrupt in the way she would answer. There was just this one chef (Filipino guy who was preparing the Takoyaki balls) who was very pleasant and actually also asked how the food was while I was paying.

Overall we didn't like our experience and don't think I'd be visiting this place again or recommending it to others.

Went for dinner tonight for the Ramadan Offer.
Booked for 4. Then changed the booking for an extra person, which they had confirmed ( as we called twice to confirm) .
Upon arrival, there was no space for the 5th guest.
Next to our table, there was a table with 5 spaces and only 2 guests.
Self-service had a massive line, as they ran out of items and were rushing to prepare.
Food quality was average.
Would not come back.

So here's what happened. My sister doesn't eat fish and we asked for anything to order from the menu for her but the rest of the group will have the buffet. They said no. Now its not about the no. I understand the cooking is busy. The attitude is ZERO. EXTREMELY rude staff. No smiling. Not even saying it in a nice way. They kept on insisting on refusing and not giving me a solution because my sister will not watch 6 people eat while she has no option to eat. You lost 6 customers for your bad attitude.
Khalid AlNajjar
It's not a bad place but for me it's a one time visit. The buffet has only veggi rolls and imitation crab rolls. No salmon, tuna or prawns.
The place ambiance is very nice however it lacks in supervision. The staff is extremely friendly.
Yummie Tummy
I absolutely love this place, not only because I love Japanese style cuisines but because of how good this place is in terms of everything.

Miso ramen, sushi and mocktail were my absolute favourite here and are a must try

Had Iftar in Spheerz tonight with friends. Delicious simple and affordable light food. I loved Miso soup and edamame, sushi variety is good for price they charge

It was my first time try Spheerz. I'm in love with place first of all and the view an amazing during sunset. We tried promotion iftar 65AED what I can said it was worth it.. they do have a lot of option foods. The most that I like unlimited squid takoyaki, sushi and miso soup!! Not only that, they have rice, noodles, fried vegetables. All of the staff were nice! Thanks to Carolina for the service :) definitely recommended !!
Aziza
Very bad services, the place is too much small, very empty, the food is not tasty, very very poor buffet, it was my the worst experience of eating sushi
Xander
The expectation compare to reality is so unbelievable. The food in the counter was dis-organize, tongs for sushi looks disaster.Messy. The place is too tight to hold a buffet. Off all their sushi I only found 2 flavours that are good. Noodles is over cooked. Ice tea tasted like water with red food colouring. The service was pretty bad.

I always look for sushi places so when I came across Spheerz’ ad on instagram, I knew I had to try it. Reviews on Zomato were good so me and my friends tried this Japanese Street Food restaurant yesterday. It’s located at Marina Cubes, Port Rashid. The place is really cool. Foodtrucks are laid out across the street overlooking the Marina/Port. Spheerz’ interior is very nice, too! Great place to chill and hang out with friends while enjoying some Japanese food. The food on the other hand was just okay. We liked their takoyaki which according to their staff was their best seller. The maki/sushi rolls weren’t the best in town, though. Anyhow, we still enjoyed our visit.

Went there for Ramadan buffet. Service was horrible but staff very friendly. We were the first that ordered but was the last to get their food. Manager apologized so many times because it was busy and he offered to allow us to pay for half the bill due to the bad service. He also gave us a gift when he paid the bill. When we paid for the bill and left, The electricity in the store went out 😂
Perin Irani
Went to try the buffet, they offer some popular varieties of sushi and you also can order from the menu selected dishes included in the buffet. Mahmoud the manager was exceptionally friendly and helpful in seating us despite the place being full. He set up an extra table for us and suggested dishes too. Cleanliness of the cutlery and place was exceptionally good.
Vinal
Food was good and 1 extra star for Mahmood the operations manager for handling the customers very well. He was very kind in attending to our needs and was considerate to set up seats for us. Thank you very much Mahmood
Mohammed AL-Orbani
Very bad buffet. Dont go. 4 types of sushi and no yakisoba. No non vegetarian sushi. Yakisoba took 1 hour to come for 2 pcs only. Tasteless mushroom tampura. 30 customers for 1, 1 meter table. Water despenser slow so you have to purchase their drinks.
Shaima.m
The miso soup was very salty. The okonomiyaki was not bad but there was too much mayo and sauce on top of it. But they were kind enough to take the miso soup out of our bill.
Hazel Anne Feliciano
Always my favorite place for Japanese food. Their takoyaki makes me feel like I’m in Japan with it’s authentic taste. The staff are always friendly and they also recognize me as a regular guest.
Fatamii Sharaf
I went for lunch where I had Octopus Takoyaki which was fine, crab salad was average, their twisted shrimp was sold out so I had shrimp tempura instead (must order spicy mayo sauce).
For sushi, I ordered shrimp tempura and California.

However, their service was really slow, the food took forever to come although the place was empty. Some people came in but left as the service was so slow so they didn’t order.

First time i went around the area, i love the place itself where you can have a walk where you can see boats. The nepali lady here was lovely and so friendly ❤ i love the food although i took just an appetizer.

Takoyakiiiiii 🥢 !!! Tried takoyaki for the first time. Though a seafood lover was quite skeptic about trying out this. But it tasted surprisingly amazing 👌🏻👌🏻 loved it 😋😋. In love with Japanese street food 😍. #takoyaki #japanesecuisine #streetfood #foodie #foodblogger #mydubai #dubai
DOT On Her Way
We found a hidden gem at the marina cubes this weekend. Can’t believe there is a whole strip of restaurants existing here. Our first time to spheerz and we were greeted nicely by chef Arlene.
We reviewed their winter menu and it is so delicious! The Japanese street eats are a bit difficult to find in UAE. We started with the charcoal shrimp. These were pretty bomb! Loved the crispy outside and the bold colors. It tasted delicious too. It came in 5 pieces so it was great for sharing. Next we had the korakke which are potatoes balls filled with pieces of egg. I haven’t had them in Japan yet but my brother said it tasted almost the same. They were great and I’d definitely order them again. We also tried their ramen as part of their winter menu. We tried both the miso ramen and the paitai ramen. If you want something more flavorful I’d go with the paitan. It has the miso base but with a fully more rich broth. We ordered delicious mocktails along with our food. The yuzu twist as well as the Japanese latte were delightful, refreshing and beautifully presented. We spoke with chef Arlene and was glad to hear she used to cook in Japan.
The interior of the restaurant is also decorated thoughtfully with minimalistic theme.
We had a great time at this Japanese eatery. And it was truly a hidden gem to find this area.

Spheerz offers an authentic Japanese experience with dishes like Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki! Their tempura is exquisite and their twister and charcoal shrimp is highly recommended!

With all the hype around this place and my love for Japanese street food, I couldn't have been more happy to be here. Located in the seaside hideaway - Marina Cubes, the latest hangout spot in Dubai on Mina Road, this place is quiet and serene with an awesome view of the harbor.

We started our experience with the mocktails that were really good with some unique combinations. We tried the Lychee Shoga Remonado and a Mango Floral. A must have when here !

I got to try their from the new Winter menu and I pretty much enjoyed all of it. From the small plates there were the Charcoal Shrimp, Spicy Edamame and Korokke.

You cannot visit a Japanese restaurant and not try their ramen. We tried the Miso Ramen in prawns and a Paitan Ramen in chicken. The Paitan I was told is a thick, cloudy soup. that is made of fats and collagens extracted from chicken bone marrow and cartilage. The Miso Ramen was outstanding, the best ramen I've had so far. The paitan was a little too strong on the bone marrow aroma for my liking however this will be a delight to marrow lovers.

After enjoying the ramen we called for the Japanese Kofta and Chicken Liver in the mains. These were slightly low on flavors for my palate.

We ended the meal with a Mango Tango roll and this is a feast. This one is a sweet maki roll filled with mango, apple and orange topped with mango and mango sauce.

Best spot to chill, hangout and relax, accompanied by amazing Ramen (winter menu), takoyaki and perfect drinks.

Shout out to the manager and team who goes out of their way to engage and make the customers feel like home as the food embraces home cooked food made with passion, love and care. Special thanks to Carol and Jessaline (i hope i spell your names right) for the warm hospitality.

With the above being said, below are some of my recommendations.

- add shichimi on the side with your ramen dishes to give it more kick
- keep the ramen selection on the main menu as it is simply delicious

Had great time at @spheerz , they offer some great Japanese street food.

I really enjoyed reman , miso soup and yuzu twist mocktail.

Do check out this restaurant, also the view and decor is beautiful ❤️. #japanesefood#marinacube#tasty

Growing up in my beautiful country – Philippines, we are always craving for street foods every now and then. Whether it’s a Kwek-kwek, a quail egg that is coated in an orange colored batter and deep fried, fish or squid balls, and to some adventurous they love to munch on Helmet – a head of the chicken or Adidas which is the feet of a chicken grilled over charcoal. I can talk about food without even pausing, but I would like to share with you about my recent experience in an emerging Japanese restaurant.

Itadakimasu! 🥢 Get your chopsticks ready for the Japanese street food newcomer @spheerz. Only five months old, Spheerz is already a fixture on the developing Port Rashid street of eateries. The restaurant has upstairs seating with a wall-to-wall window view of the port. 🚢 ..So the location is great but what about the food? Icing on the fish cake. 👌

We tried the sweet corn tempura and takoyaki spheerz for starters. The tempura is dusted in paprika which gives it a smokey twist to its mild sweetness. 🇯🇵 The takoyaki is essentially squishy balls of deep fried octopus, and a fan favorite of any Japanese festival! Our main course was a platter of yakitori sticks that included teriyaki chicken, chili octopus, soya ginger shittake, miso-butter wagyu and togarashi wings. All fantastic. The octopus, once again, was a winner. 🐙 Each sauce was distinct enough that the skewers hold up on their own as independent dishes. If you’re picky with textures or flavors, you might want to hold off. 💪 This is for the brave and bold.

Dessert was just as fun. We loved the squishiness of the mochi and the hot and cold blend of the fish cake and ice cream. 🍦 The cake was stuffed with red bean paste, which is almost undetectable beneath a strong chocolatey flavor (plus the vanilla ice cream). And a special, special, special shout-out to the sweetest staff and our server for the day. ARIGATO SHANTI! 👏

Really nice enviroment and decoration, tasty quality original japanese food and affordable prices. The takoyaki is the best in dubai inluding a sweet dessert version

My love of Japanese Cuisine started with the concept of this restaurant. After visiting Japan and trying the food over there I can safely say that Spheerz has the authentic Japanese taste with a modern presentation. I dare to even say that their Takoyaki is better than most of the ones I tried in Japan.
Ahmed Abdullah Tahnoon
Best Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki in UAE. I personally made sure! Spheerz offers rare-to-find Japanese street foods as well as favorites like Sushi, Yakitori, Yakisoba, and more.

It is our first time here and it was great! Place was clean and cozy. The portioning is just right. Japanese street style. Food was excellent. The menu may need more variety but everything else the experience was all ok! Will be back! 👍😘

Awesome restaurant with great staff and delicious foods, nice views and the way of presenting the dishes, special thanks to Mr. Mahmoud the restaurant manager

Went there to try their "authentic" japanese takoyaki ( octopus pie ) and regretted instantly. Also tried their okanomiyaki which was literally stuffed with mayo and ketchup. Dried fish flakes, ketchup and mayo looked like having a third world war the way it was presented.Couldn't finish anything. DON'T GO HERE FOR THE JAPANESE FOOD. Oh and the drinks were okay.
Menu Creeper
Follow me on instagram: Menucreeper

I say this loosely because there dishes at Sphreez that you would not find at most Japanese restaurants because they are some what difficult to make as they are time consuming, namely Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki. The food here are mostly Tapas/appetiser size. There are a few dishes like Don Buri (rice) and Yakisoba (noodles) that should be bigger in serving size but I didn’t get a chance to try them.

I found out that Spheerz, a Japanese Modern Restaurant that I discovered 2 years ago in Global Village, opened at Marina Cubes at Port Rashid. You might be saying Marina Cubes, where is that?. Well, don’t worry because even me, I never heard about it till I went to Spheerz. The cool weather is on the way and eating at Spheerz at Marina Cubes will be fantastic.

Nice Japanese restaurant in Mina Rashid Marina, Port Rashid. I visited just now and the ambience was cool with many light decorations in the second floor for dine in tables. The staffs are very welcome and humble, they prepared my food not long time.

I took Donburi and takoyaki, its tasty and good quantity for my dinner tonight. Recommended Japanese restaurant in town with the best view of Queen Elizabeth II.
