Pathetic tasteless food ..I visit this place with my family of 15 last week thought that we will have some good indian thali...all the sabzis are tasteless dal was like salt water with haldi and rotis are like dry papad we asked him to put some butter on it they take it back and put smelly oil on it they think we are fool we dont know diff between oil n butter..them come to rice it was like they cook rice once a week they were smelling sooo bad and dry....and then at the time of billing the owner said aab kha lia to natak kar rahe ho even we were paying our full billing amount just asked him for chk the taste he said idhar to aisa he milta hai 20 saal se khana ho to khao..paisa do or jao yaha se...such a basterd....

Taste doesnt justify name, people get allured because its located exactly in front of Union metro station exit the setup seems quite appealing and hygienic , but this place will leave no chance to ordeal you hunger . Food is absolute despair of good taste .The taste is just below average with Hole in your pocket. Do not be arbitrary when you are at Union metro station if you are hungy , may be wait for a while and search some other options

I stayed in Dubai for over 10 days, and most of the days had breakfast and Dinner and some days had lunch as well. Food was excellent and service was also very good. I am very glad i stayed in Avani which is just opposite Annaporna. the one thing to improve though would be that there were too many flies, if only they could do something to get rid of them.

All typical things you will find in a south Indian Place ranging from mini tiffin, pongal, dosa and pur bhaji. Its a vegetarian place. I like the food a lot. However their delivery is generally late

It's simple, has a cafe like feel and with so many Asians dining, you know you're eating exactly what they enjoy. I love their paneer, masala and so many different really tasty dishes. Easy to find location with long opening hours and there's also a chaat counter for take away if you don't have time to stop. Highly recommended!

A good go to place for a quick bite and great South Indian breakfast/lunch. It serves good quality food at very reasonable prices. Their filter coffee is a must-have. The staff is good and quick at service. The dosas are fresh and crispy. Thee place gets really busy and hence, noisy sometimes. Their upper level is always closed for seating and parking can also be a problem during busy hours.

Perhaps, the most strategically located joint in the area, Annapurna provides a satisfaction factor which comes from a combination of decent delivery, good food and VFM. Location wise, I didn't find a single decent join, in 500 m radius of my hotel apart from this one. I took delivery from this place two times and both times, experience was quite good. I tried following items:- 1. Paneer Chili Masala - Decent item, although I was hoping a more of chinese touch than Indian. 2. Butter kulcha - Good one. Soft and fulffy. 3. Aloo Paratha - Didn't expect it to be tandoori one. Just OK. 4. Mushrrom Fried Rice - Wonderful. Went really well with Kadai Paneer. 5. Kadai Paneer - Delicious. All in all, a really good VFM joint.

Annaporna was good for south indian delacies. Delivery was bang on time. Basic food with good taste. We had idlis and tomato uttapam. Idlis were fresh and tender. Uttappam had little more oil but tasted nice and fluffly. Sambhar and chutney were good too. Good for simple food.

Annapoorna is a decent choice for South Indian food. The thali is quite decent. The dosa and chutneys are good. However, a good South Indian joint for me is defined by the taste of sambar and rasam. Unfortunately, the sambar here is very average (taste is like dal boiled with veggies). The rasam is quite reasonable.

I have gone here a handful of times whenever I feel the urge to eat South Indian Vegetarian Food. I find it's location convenient and it sure has been in Dubai for quite some years now. More than anything else,i love the hospitality of the staff here... really very friendly. Taste of the food here is average in my personal opinion, but they sure do get a lot of customers during rush hours. The enjoy their Masala Dosa and we also order their Iddiyappam once in a while which they make really well.

Do not order on Zomato from this restaurant. It will never reach u. Very disappointed with the management of this restaurant, as they took 20min to understand and update the status of my order, which ultimately hadn’t left the restaurant. This delay is additional to the 1.15hours delay from the time of order placing. Had to cancel the order anyway.

While staying in Dubai, we decided to get South Indian breakfast from here. So we ordered through Zomato to get the food delivered to our hotel since we were lazy to go drive there. We ordered one Idli set which comes with two Idlis, 2 Ghee roast, 2 Masala Dosas. The food was delivered to us within 40 minutes. It was very well packaged. It came with a big bowl of Sambar, lots of coconut Chutneys and red chutney too. Great quantity. The idlis were big and the roasts were good. It was soft. I liked the green coconut chutney. But the red one wasn’t good. I’ll definitely try this place again.

Combo Meal 2 for Breakfast Dosa - Nice & Crispy Wada - Nice & Crispy Upma - Sticky and very soft left it half. Green chutney - perfect. Coconut chutney - not so good a bit watery. Sambhar - Not the very best.

The order summery in Zomato and the restaurant invoice is not same. I ordered the veg mini meals in Zomato for 14.62, but the restaurant charged me 17 dhs.. I contact Zomato but there is no proper answer from them, very poor customer service. This is really unacceptable
