A no-nonsense kind of place for value meals. Minimalist in decor and ambiance, good food. I do visit often for my regular meals and it never fails to satisfy. I like their poories a lot, makes me remeber the favourite luchis.

Out of many vegetarian restaurants in bur dubai this is one of my favorite. You have to wait for the food as this restaurant it busy during the eating hours but the wait is worth. Fantastic place to enjoy thali and all the varieties of vegetables.
We ordered for idli sambar and medu wada sambar. First of all the service was very prompt. The idlis were yummy and the medu wada was good too, the sambar and chutney are excellent. Definitely ordering from here again.One more thing pricing is pocket friendly at just 5dhms for a plate of idli samber. Thumbs up !!!

Loved this place for its south indian food.
Many time came here with family to eat south Indian cuisine. It was better when it was operating its outlet on the road side.
But overall great place for those south indian food lovers.
Ordered for pav bhaji. The delivery took quite long (no complaints though). The bhaji was super tasty. But the size of pav was surprisingly small. I didn't even know such tiny pav even existed 😂 Quantity is worth the cost. Rating them a 4 only for the bhaji.
Its just perfect for my taste buds. Tried every single item on the menu. Taste and very affordable. takes approx. 30 minutes for delivery which is good timing. No complaints there. Meena Bazar in Dubai which reminds me Chandni Chowk in Delhi (India) as an exact copy, after a tiring day of shopping in the heat you need a place to calm your nerves and in Chandni Chowk you find small food joints same like India House. You go there, place an order, relax and enjoy your meal on small tables and pay less for the entire order. I am in Love with a place.
Growing up in Dubai I have had the opportunity to taste a variety of food. This place in particular for me is close to the heart because they had the best darn Chinese thali you could get from an Indian restaurant. I love this place for the food. Sure its not comfortable for dine in, but the quality of food has never disappointed.
My family has been having their Dosas, Uthappas and Idlis since a very, very long time.
In South Indian food, their Uthapas and Idlis are my favourite. Well cooked and delicious. Their Sambhar is tasty, and you can also enjoy it with some plain rice.
Their North Indian Special Thaali is good too. That includes dishes of the day, a variety of rotis, daal, plain rice and veg pulav.
The 'not-to-be-missed' dish is the Malai Kofta. This dish is simply outstanding. Delectable and mouth-watering, you can enjoy it with some hot and crispy tandoori roti.
This restaurant is not at all pricey. A good place to try if you are around the area and looking for reasonable Indian options.

India House is another hidden gem in the lanes of meena bazaar... While the ambience and space is not good, the food surely is... Dosa items are decent... North Indian thali is good... And if you like Indian Chinese, surprisingly their Chinese combo is really good...
From the mouth of a vegetarian - like a lot of places in meena bazaar which have survived the ups and downs of dubai, India house is one of them. My favourite joint when i was a kid. What it used to be back then it unfortunately is not now. The quality has decreased drastically over the years or should I say people's palettes have become more wide with dubai developing so fast.
Their north Indian thali is amazing. Cheap and can serve up to almost 3 people. My parents love it and so do we because it's amazing value for money. Another dish that I like from here is the dum aloo. Love the taste!
For people new to dubai this might not be the "it" place but for people like me who have grown up here India house will always remain close to the heart for the fab dosa times it has given us in our childhood years. #ZomatoSummer

It's been around 17 years since I'm having food from this restaurant. One of the most famous & oldest and still going strong restaurant in Bur Dubai. The food is great & the staffs are really friendly !

An amazing restaurant. Has got one of the most amazing dishes from the indian cusine and fairly low rates.
India House is one of the first Veg restaurants to start up in Dubai, and since then till date it has a dedicated following of customers and new ones are added daily.The simple interiors and great food they serve will never disappoint anyone.
The simple dosa's, the veg inspired chinese dishes, the valu thali, coffee, variety of vada, Uthappams all are prepared in a continual standards that any day you try them , they taste as good as you did the first time. The service is usual canteen style and most of the customers are usuals, but the waiters are more than happy to suggest you dishes too. Skip the soups as defientely its not a place to be having soups.
Evenings hot vadas and idlis are served with tea or coffee. The dinner rush is heavy on weekends, with families flocking to eat some great thalis and other dishes. Indian house has to be definetely on the must try list of any food lover and is a real gem, that deserves to be tried.
Been around for 20 years. Perfect pitstop for shopaholics at Meena Bazaar.
The Sangram fried rice is a speciality from a long time. The menu is ever expanding with more and more popular items. The chats are superb. Their Samosas are wonderful. Try the Chole Samosa/Samosa Chaat too!

If you're looking for yummy crispy Rava dosa you should head straight to India House Restaurant Bur Dubai. Tucked in a corner of Juma Al Majid building, this restaurant is not easily visible. Last year happened to go to a shop to buy some tailoring material, saw this clean and hygenic , no frills vegetarian place. Luckily we were too tired and hungry so settled for this place as we could plonk all our shopping bags, rest our feet and have something to eat. I ordered my favorite Rava dosa with special instructions that I want it crispy. ( I always do this everywhere, even in India, but never do I get it perfectly done to my taste, I always had to compromise) The service was quite fast and I got the best Rava dosa done exactly to my liking.
Sorry I had never tasted anything else because I always had to struggle to finish the dosa so no space even for a cup of tea or coffee. Maybe next time I'll try something else. A lovely place which fills your tummy fully but doesn't empty your wallet. What else do you want?
I must visit place for good veg food.

This is recently renovated. The taste and hospitality however remains the same. Meal options are really economical and have good variety. Fulka/chapati are homely and so are curries. Try their Sindhi Kadhi, unique flavor!
