Ordered taboule, fatouch, zinger sandwish, the chicken in the zinger was chewing we ordered also farouj boneless platter , it didnt come as i ordered, it cane with bones !!! The ambiance was good, waitress served us proberly,
Tried Chicken Ala Kief at @maxinerestaurant last night! Except the breadcrumbs skin, I liked what it was stuffed with and the chicken as such!!!
Visited the Jumeirah 1 branch on Friday at around 8 pm. The place was silent but soon after an hour we could see lot of people coming in.
Had a quite a wonderful time. We ordered the seafood pizza and salmon risotto. Both were good. Quantity was also worth the price. The pizza bread was nice and fresh.
Also tried avocado juice and American Coffee. They were slightly over priced especially the coffee for the size.
We also tried the mint sheesha which was really nice.
Actually when I first placed the order after taking the order the lady came back saying if I could repeat the order as the previous girl was new. Food was served in time even though.
However one waitress kept coming back and asking if we had any order for drinks which was a bit annoying and she seemed a bit rude.
Overall a cozy place with comfortable ambience. Will visit again or try other branches.
The food here is great, the service and seatings are really well too. My favourite dish was their plate of falafel, it was delicious. Would like to come back some time soon.
Came here for the first time few weeks ago, I've heard about it before but sadly never tried it or knew what I was missing.
The place was almost empty on Friday afternoon, but I didn't mind as we were about 12 people, with kids and house maids so the place was all for ourselves!
We tried many things from the menu, and everything was good to very good.
The kafta stood out, it was so delicious and tender with just the perfect spices. The appetizers were really good also.
I have to recommend the soup and fresh drinks which were fresh and delicious.

A cozy, warm and chilled out spot perfect for a catch-up session over a nice meal and sheesha, which also makes for a great spot on a lazy weekend.
Have been here loads of times but never seem to get bored, even though I don't smoke sheesha anymore because this place has more to offer than just sheesha. The ambience is perfect and so if they large variety of food, which has great Vegetarian options. I usually end up going for their Pizzas and Arabic variety.
The staff and service are very nice, polite and courteous. The place is a tad bit expensive but I suppose the quality of space and ambience they offer doesn’t come cheap.
If you are looking for an easy and relaxed place in the Jumeirah area, this is definitely a great option.
Came here twice, first was when we had iftar with my friends. It is an arranged buffet starting from the salads up to the main dishes. Food served during the iftar is good, i think the most sold out dish is the kabab and the one with yogurt as well as the trays got empty quickly. Second was when we watched football and we were sitting in the smoking room. This place has a lot of tvs on their walls. Unlike other cafes who just have 2-3 on them. It is a nice place actually and the people seems to be quiet. Staff are attentive and parking is easy. There are a lot of spaces available in the area.

I have heard about this restaurant for so so long and so many times from my group of friends and one day I found myself here with them :)
not my preferred ambiance but not too bad as the time chosen to come here was at a reasonably quiet time so thank fully not crowded.
I didnt expect much from the food however when it arrived it tasted amazing. The chicken was well marinated and the mash potato was really good as well. I personally didn't like the sauce that came along with it but just decided to stay away from it.
Have been to Maxine 2-3 times for sheesha and I have never been disappointed. The special sheesha with ice is very good and the food is not bad either. A laid back kind of a place which is apt for a post dinner catch up with friends.

I came here to try the shisha (grape flavour), a dessert (chocolate fondue) and Moroccan tea. We sat in the covered patio, the ambience is nice and comfy, not too busy for a Thursday night. The tea and the chocolate fondue were good, the shisha was ok but nothing exciting. One of the great things about this place is the fact you get a button at each table to call for service and charcoal (great idea!) and usb table chargers for your phone. Also, it's fairly priced in comparison to other places in Jumeirah 1, we only spent 100 dirhams. Recommended if you fancy a low key smoke in a nice, relaxed ambience.

This rating is based purely on food and sheesha. Try the special sheesha there in which they add ice in 2 different areas which gives you the best sheesha experience. The pasta tastes wonderful. The interiors are good and calm . The buffet is a must try. The hamour is one of the best I've ever had
From the mouth of a vegetarian - this used to be a dainty and elegant place which was known for its cottage like interiors and elegant dining. This was 10 years back. After they introduced shisha it became more like a cafe and people started dining outside more. What I love here is the penne pasta in pink sauce. Absolutely delicious. Service is good but on a busy day can be hard to catch a server. Inside sheesha area gets too smoky! Go here for the food.
You don't come to Maxine expecting prompt service or a "fine dining" experience. Maxine is more of a hangout with a calming relaxed vibe.
I'd highly recommend the Maxine fries and the chocolate fondant, which is definitely one of the better fondants in Dubai. It's made fresh and may take 20 odd minutes, but is totally worth the wait.
Try the shisha with the ice pipe. Exceptional!
Pasta craving and heard about it from my friends. So here I was. Parking isnt a problem. It is a typical jumeirah shisha hangout, interior nothing great.
My rating is entirely based in the pasta. The pink sauce pasta is amazing. It is so so filling, could easily be shared by two.
They have a minimum order of AED 50 per person though, if youre with a group of people.
Had been recently to this outlet for Iftar Buffet with family & friends.
The menu is less for the given money.
I liked the seafood sauce yummy. Others also good.
As compared to many reviews here, the service was good. We stayed for almost 2 hours..Where we didn't feel any kind of disturbance from the team.
I go to this place just to have one of their dishes.. which I love to eat again and again..... the great EGYPTIAN KOSHARI. Its a mixed bowl of boiled Spegetiie pasta...brown rice....macaroni... chikpeas... and whole masoor daal.. topped with yummy souce made of onion.. tomato & capsicum... sprinkled with tangy lemon juice cooked with olive oil.The cherry on top is the fried ONION which gives it a crunchy taste. MUST TRY.

Fantastic quiet hangout not too far off SZR, had coffees and shisha. Food wise, coffee is a coffee, and a shisha is a shisha, so nothing really to write about there.
Service was a little bit lazy, nice to see staff smiling, but the majority of these guys need to turn their frowns upside down.
Not too expensive, big screen projector showing some arabic show, but was with good company, great weather, and for a Thursday night, a quiet blessing in the city of lights.
p.s. my marks are based purely on ambience - not food.

foods and place ambience are superb, really delighted with our first experience and planning to have one for a special occasion. Hospitality of the personnel is in the air...that's one of a kind dining experihence I ever had.

Maxines is a hidden gem in Jumeirah, it is situated in such an unexpected place ..out of the hustle and bustle..I liked the decor of the place, very antique looking furnishings making you feel like youre in a Victorian style English home. Since I wasnt that hungry I ordered the Shish Tawook served in garlic and lemon sauce yummy..very succulent and just right. I had it with fries. For desert I had the Om Ali which was good but not as thick as I had hoped it would be. The Shisa was amazing..we sat outside which was great because of the nice gorgeous breeze blowing...nice chilled atmosphere ..really quaint little hideaway :)
A great location for a calm and delicious lunch on a Saturday afternoon, the friendly Tunisian waitress Farah is excellent in suggestion very yummy dishes. It's good and calm, and smoke free (the main area).
